After almost non-stop shopping and buying things for the muffin, even during the recent online Old Navy / Gap spree organized by my sis, 3/4 of the items were for muffin. I only ordered 2 tops, 1 pants, 1 jeans and 1 capri for myself. And tat's coz I really am running out of things to wear!
While on the other hand, our lil' muffin's wardrobe is growing and expanding! Way faster than we can even do the washing (not that we started) but I have a feeling that we probably need 2 washes in our 8kg machine to finish all!
But finally today, when out on another window shopping trip, I finally finally bought something for me, myself at the mall!
A HOBO Sling bag from United Colors of Benetton! $53 after sale at Taka! Very colorful and cheerful isn't it?
And with the still-small-but-expanding-belly, I need new underwear for home wear. Haven already outgrown those for going out long ago but now need new ones for home too and I managed to get some today for myself too.
Then recently, we've gone ceramic!
Ceramic Knifes! We saw the promoter demonstrating the knifes and we're sold. The guy actually used the knife to cut thru a piece of ROLL-UP cloth and the bit just came off without any threads coming loose! And even when cutting onions, he don't tear. What proves that was, he held the cut onions about 1 cm away from his eye and really. NO tears! And he said fruits will not oxidize as fast as normal steel knifes.
We've bought the orange knife (the small green knife came free) and we've tried cutting our veggies and fruits. Woah. Cut so smoothly! And even when de-seeding apples, the middle don't oxidize as fast! I know coz I used a steel knife to de-seed 1 side and the ceramic knife for the rest. And then we compare. REALLY lei!
And so, we bought the ceramic peeler as well so that fruits that I de-skin will not oxidize so fast too. Perfect when I bring fruits to office!
So, we've gone ceramic in our kitchen knifes. And I think it's a worthwhile investment!

lemming....
I've found the PERFECT size HP for my tiny baby hands!!!
But the irritating thing is, I can change till Dec this year! Argh!
I was eyeing the Nokia then I realized Singtel don't carry it so there goes the Nokia and just yesterday, I found this new HP.
It's a tiny tiny hp but I love the size!! But the camera is only 5megapixel.... I would want to have a higher end hp camera seeing that muffin would be out by Dec and a HP is the most convenient tool to be snapping.
But if all goes well, yep, I'm getting this! Either the X10 mini or the mini Pro! The only difference is the Pro comes with the qwerty keyboard. Size is like just 1 or 2 mm difference, not much difference at all, I should say.

Mr and Mrs Shawn Tay!
17 June 2010.
I kind of saw EM blossom from a young adult to into her womanhood. hahaha... We knew each other in 2004/2005. That's like 6 years ago!
And she's our merit award winner when she did her diploma with us too. Her glorious moments and even till now, my director and lecturers remember her and on occasions still mention her as our triumph and pride.
=D Awww... I love such scene. So heart warming.
Din have a a chance to take a photo with both the groom and bride. So just a shot with the pretty bride.
Marital Bliss Always EM and Shawn!
But hor, digress a bit bit, I'm so glad that I haven't forgot how to stick falsies! After the last time I stuck falsies in Feb during CNY, I haven't had the chance to do so. So I took the chance to do it.
Nice right the drama mama falsies! Teacher Cin, ur verdict please? hahahhaha...
I think I'm getting the hang of it, just that, I need to speed up things a little. And definitely it's too much work to be doing it on a regular basis but once a while for some functions, its worth the effort!

The big secret.
It's now safe to spill the beans...
Yep, a 2 lined pee kit.
And if you still can't catch, the pee on the pee kit is mine. And so, that effectively makes me pregnant, a mom to be!
So far, the doc says everything is normal. So that's good. The OSCAR (test for down syndrome) shows that muffin is at the low risk, that's wonderful!
Now, both the hub and me are pretty excited yet nervous at the same time and also trying to get somethings done and prepared for the arrival of our lil' one.
We're not getting any gender definite colors for now since it could be any for the time being.
But, no matter the sex, we're happy with a happy, healthy and normal kiddo!

Woh... I've been MIA-ing for so long!
I din realise the last I updated this blog of mine was in March. That's more than 2 months ago already!
Nothing much as been going on, hence the update, I guess life without studies is monotonous and stress free. I only need to think of how to best enjoy life!
Quite shiok actually but then again, can get pretty boring after a while too.
Work wise, yes, there's a change in my reporting officer (not coz I've graduated, it's just a change), not really looking forward to it unfortunately, but then again, work is work and since the Big Boss up there allowed this to happen despite my praying no, then so be it la. If the Big Boss wants it this way, it shall be done and anyway, I'm allowed to 'throw' all the things back to Him.
Anyway, there should be more exciting news than this coming up soon... stay tuned! Will update when the plan is executed and proceeding as planned!

Random conversations
I came across a few interesting conversations today and it sort of made my day and hence, I'm writing it down.
Conversation 1:
Was standing beside a student leader while waiting for the rest of the other secondary school students to queue up in front so as to move off to another plc.
Student Leader: *Out of the sudden* "Ms Sharon, you are very sweet lei. I always find people named "Sharon" very sweet.
Me:*Stunned* Oh! Thank You.
This got to be the FIRST time in my 30 years that the word "Sweet" is used to describe me. And honestly, none of the other "Sharons" in my list can be described as "sweet". "Authoritative" yes. "Decisive" yes. " "Sweet" hmmm... First time in my life!
Conversation 2:
After the whole event, we, the organizers were milling around and waiting for the 1,200 students at the refreshment point.
Colleague: *was eating refreshment* Did you eat? Have some la.
Me: No la, don't want. Later going to in laws hse will be eating dinner, now eat, later cannot eat.
Colleague: Huh?! You are married already?
Me: *showing wedding ring* Yep. Married le.
Colleague: Aiyoh. Why you in such a rush to get married?
Me: Why? Too bad lor is it?
Colleague: Ya lor. hahahahahhahahhhahahah
Me: Then too bad lor. hahahhhahhahaha
Sure made my efforts in the whole event worth it la! Of course, I'm not taking him seriously, just that some times, these conversations are the ones that made me very glad and enjoy my work.
I reiterated conversation 1 to the Hub and his immediate reaction was "Your student is AB is it?"
hahahhahhahaha.... For those of you who don't get the AB bit, you got to refer to the link here.
And the hub's reaction to conversation 2 was just a simple "ok lor. Then?"
Am not quite sure what that means though. whahhahahhaha....

Sponge Detergent
I've read reviews on the MU sponge detergent from Daiso. Been trying to find a bottle but its always OOS when I saw the shelve full of it, I got a bottle.
At $2, even if it does not work, it's ok la. Not much of a heart break.
Disgusting pic ahead...

Before washing...
After washing...
Hmm... I see not much difference... maybe coz it's still wet.
If the sponge does not get cleaner, I'll just ditch it and get a new one. Rather pay than to get outbreaks!
Edited on 26 Feb.
Cindy taught me another method to wash the sponge. That is, pour the detergent on the sponge, rub a bit, pour hot water over it and let it soak for about an hour.
The result.
Clean and almost brand new looking RMK pressed powder sponge! The only thing is the rubbing and soaking caused the backing to fall off. =(
