We did not manage to get seats on the hotel's shuttle bus service to Mid Valley for today! =( We were too late to make a reservation yesterday so no seats for us =(
We also decided not to take the hotel's breakfast today. It's just so horrible. End up, we decided to call a cab from the hotel to Mid Valley and have a nice breakfast outside.
The cab fare was RM $30 and according to the uncle, within the KL city, it's RM $30. We were then mentally thinking maybe we can take a cab back if we really buy too much at the end of the day. =P Within 40 minutes, we were at the Mega Mall!
The moment we step foot in, I felt a tinge of excitment. The mall is HUGE!! From where we were standing, we cannot see the end of the mall. I was excited to start shopping but I worry for my poor feet as well as my poor wallet. But first thing first, settle our rumbling stomachs. Very hungry.
We saw this not bad looking Hong Kong restaurant and we just went in.
Tri ordered Hor Fun and I had Claypot Lo Shu Fen.
Quite nice. But again, too salty for my liking. =( The service sucks. I have no idea why but we are always served by grouchy people. Eat also cannot eat happily! hai... and it's not cheap some more for these 2 items and still have to put up with grouches.
Anyway, we paid and we left. More important things to do than to mull over grouches!
The first shop we went in, I score 2 dresses!
Again from Nichii. But I did not see these 2 in the branch in MINES shopping fair. So I tried and I bought! A smart looking dress and a halter neck. =)
Walking along, I can't resist MM make up in Watsons... and I got some more! This time it's another Mascara, a lippie, a blusher and an eye brow powder. Which I manage to get the notebook free as my purchases were over RM $80. I could have gotten the same notebook yesterday at KLCC! But the stocks were not there yet. *Humpf*
We spent the rest of the day just cruising along the mall. Fact is, both of us bought very little things from this mega mall! Maybe because we're both tired? Or we've seen it already or simply not interesting lor.
But I did get for myself 2 simple cook books. Now that my exams have ended, I think I really ought to learn some simple dishes so that we can have home cooked food once a while rather than eating out all the time!
Title says it all. "Quick" and "One-dish meals". Unfortuntely, yes, that's about all that I have time for. Quick and 1 dish meals are the best for after work evenings if I want to get the food ready before Hub comes back. Side track, I'm thinking of trying out 1 of the dishes for tomorrow's dinner! =)
I do enjoy cooking for Hub, but I am not sure if the same enjoyment can be said for him in eating my ermmm "creation"... hahahahha... I do wonder at times, does he mentally shrink back in fright when I say I'm going to cook? But I think the recipes inside are relatively easy, I shall try my best!
Tri got some of her recipe books too. But she is steady one la. The books she get for cooking and mine are heavens and earth apart. Hers is all those very chim ones. Just by looking at the ingredients list gives me a headache kind of recipes. I honestly do not think I am at that level yet la. Give me another 10 years. Hmm... I think 20 years more like.
By this time, we have covered most of Mid Valley already which the time now says 3pm++. Feet's is screaming away. Tummy's once again rumbling away.
This time, we settled for Secret Recipe. My BBQ Chicken something something and Ice White Chocolate coffee or something like that.
When hungry, any food tastes fantastic. SO, yes, the chicken rice was yumlicious and the drink just simply wonderful.
When in fact, I think the chicken is too sour, they've given us too much ketchup! But food's food. And we are hungry. Eat already then say. I even wanted to order a slice of cake while waiting for the food! Yes! I was THAT hungry. Luckily, I did not. Because after finishing every single morsel of food on the plate and sucking up every single drop of liquid in the cup. I was full.to.the.brim.
Tum's satisfied. But feet's still aching. Hence, we just crossed our legs on to the plastic chairs and sat and sat and sat. Chatting and watching the crowd and looking at the pouring sky. Praying at the same time that it will stop so that we can once again take the boat back to MINES.
After the break, we walked. Manged to get some colourful bubble soil for my mom and 2 seedings which I intend to grow when I'm back in SG.
And by now, window displays are catching my eyes since I've more or less seen all the shops.
The L'Occitane display is just so pretty!!!I stood there for a few good minutes just admiring it. How come, we don't have such pretty window displays in Sunny Singapore?!
Somehow or rather, we just walked and walked and walked and ended up in The Gardens, which is similiar to KLCC, a mall with all the branded goods. But The Gardens gives a very high class feel. Somewhat to that of Gallery locally, quiet boutiques along the malls with not much crowd and attentive sales personnels kind of feel. Of course, I can't afford anything there, but they do have a Robinsons inside. We went to check it out but came out empty handed too.
The decoration there was just so pretty! I cannot resist snapping a few photos.
These caught my eyes and I snapped. My guess is that there must be some kind of fashion show or something where the models will walk out / sit in the cages. Like a pretty bird in the cage and then spread its wings to fly out! =)
Surprisingly, this is just about the first Christmas tree, albit a little too skinny, I see in KL! I prefer fat and bushy Christmas trees...Obviously, I was more interested in the hanging flowers than the tree. KLCC's huge ass Christmas Tree was not even up yet!
Closer view of the hanging flower decoration from I cannot remember level what.I just like the way the flowers cascades down. So romantic!
And you won't believe it, I bought more books again! This time from Borders. So, I had to lug back a grand total of 11 books back home!
No wonder Hub calls me Bookworm!
A short of us in the mall. We are looking tired after 2.5 days of shopping and walking!
I was ready to surrender and call it a night. Thing is, we still have to take the train and boat back. We were thinking, we might as well wait till around 8pm or so where the working crowd is gone before we go, hoping that it will be less crowded.
Conclusion, that train is crowded anytime of the day!! We were once again packed like sardiness in a can. Cannot believe it. And the train's service is horrible too! We waited for more than 30 mins for it. So, needless to say, with such a long interval, the crowd swell. Worse is, there isn't much ventaliation in the train. I was kind of worried that I will faint there and then!
But somehow or rather, both of us managed to stay on our feet and not faint!
Caught the boat and we were back to MINES. Now, we still have to make 1 more stop before calling it a night. To buy enough snacks for 6 families (3 families on each side; in laws, own parents and ourselves!) before going back to the hotel to finally rest.
Just the 2 of us, we each lugged a BIG bag of snacks back to the room and I think the total figure for all these combined snacks is easily RM $300!Finally, after all the tasting and selecting discussing what to buy and how to share, we paid for it and go back to the hotel for our final night.
We have like 7 boxes of "Hiang biscuits with malt sugar" (4 boxes mine, 3 boxes Tri's), 6 packs of crispy rice crackers, 6 boxes of coconut biscuits, 2 bottles of longan honey, which we share equally and an additional 3 packs of "Bak Kut Teh" spices for myself.
It's SUPER DUPER heavy lor, just lugging these back up to the hotel!
Best part is, despite getting all these snacks, we are still gettting some more at Yong Ping when the coach gives us some time for a break on the way back to SG!!!
My loots for Day 3 ends with 2 dresses, 6 books, some christmas pressies, MM make up, colorful bubble soil and seeds and PLENTY of snacks.
And the courtesy pic of my receipts...
Which after snapping a pic of the loots, still got to clear away and attempt to pack everything nicely into the trolley lagguage and well... snacks can never fit inside my lagguage box. Hence doing hand carry up the bus.
I really must salut Tri. She helpe me squeeze in every single thing into the box leaving just the snacks outside! I was very impressed coz I've tried yet, can't fit everything!
Her comment? "Well, when you travel more often and having studied in Aust, packing and squeezing becomes second nature."
Ok.... I believe her.
Now, all I need to do is to get Hub to bring me overseas more often so I can learn to pack like the way she does too!
whahahahahahahahahaha

KL Trip - Day 2 @ KLCC
Rise and Shine the both of us to a beautiful day. Honestly, we did not sleep that well not used to the bed and the pillows were not comfortable. But as we were so tired out, I did manage to sleep somehow but not very well.
Anyway, while Tri was in the bathroom, I went out to the balcony to catch some fresh air and to just look around. The air was wet with dew and everywhere seems bury or it could be my eyes... but it looked so tranquil and peaceful, I sat there for a while. I max my camera's zoom functions and even caught a flock of birds "sunbathing" (as there was not much sun yet)
it just looked so pretty with their white bodies set against the dark greens and when they take flight, the whole flock moves together as though they are performing a major dance. Pretty!
After I was done, we went down to the hotel for our breakfast. For a hotel to be serving us food that has flies hovering around their food, I think it's very bad. Worse, the food was not even nice! *Bleh* The best is the nasi lemak with sambal chili. Honest! The food was so bad, I did not even bother to take a shot of it. Though the bread selection was plentiful, but everywhere I looked, there's flies hovering.... to be safe, I only took food that was covered. What for I take the risk and fall sick myself.
View's from the lobby not too bad. Lash greenery and misty far away places. Of course by now, the sun is higher in the sky, everything looks brighter and more intense.
We can see our room from where we were seated too. The red circle.
Those black lines are there because, there's some renovation works going on and hence it's there. But, we were not bothered by the renovation works, we din hear a thing. Maybe because, we were further off? Not sure.
We had make the booking for the shutle bus to send us to KLCC where we can go for shopping. I was particulary interested in the MM make up (sold in Watsons) and also Kunokuniya. I was dying to get my hands on the rest of the Shopaholic books. And if it's cheaper than in SG, I'm going to lug it all back. Regardless the weight!
Honestly, KLCC's quite boring. Plenty of branded stuff which both of us cannot afford. So, we don't spend much. But despite saying that, I still spent lots. And I mean, really really lots!
My first purchase for the day was my Shopaholic Books by Sophie Kinsella!Yups. All 5 of the remaining ones which I have yet to read or buy. Each book is $17.12 SGD here with the latest book, "Remember Me" retailing at $34+ SGD. Hence, just 5 of these will costs me at least $100 SGD. What did I pay for all 5 in KL? $151.35 RM!!! That's about $65 SGD. And I save $35 SGD. So tell me, how can I possibly missed out the chance to lug it back! Though individual book may be more pricy in KL but as I have 5, the average costs is still woth my while to buy and lug back.
Next major purchase, MM Make Up and Kate Eyeliners.Which, I must say, is almost the complete thing(s) that I'm using. Mascaras, powders, casings and eyeliners. All of which, except for the newest MM mascara, Gorgeous wings were having a 10% off too! If I were to buy it in SG, this babies here would set me back by at least $200 SGD. In KL, yups, I'm paying more than $200 too, but it's in RINGIT!
Time for a rest after the shopping. We settled at this healthy looking drink stall and ordered our drinks. Some "Green Goodness" and "Thrist Quencher" kinda drink. And to be honest, both tastes equally horrible! *Yucks* and it's expensive lei! If not for the fact that we were really too tired too walk and terriably thristy, I doubt we'll have settled for this. But oh well. Wrong choice. And so we must finishd. The only consolation is at least this is a healthy drink and not some kind of fizzy drinks that just loads my body with useless sugar! =/
Along the way, we passed by so many Kiddies clothing shops and I can't resists.
I bought these little cutie clothes for Clara and Chloe.
They just look so adorable and cute lor. I wish I could have bought more but I think these 2 princessess have loads of clothes to wear... so like this is also more than enough? hahahaha...
Girls really have so much nice and pink clothes to wear. I look at the boys clothings there and I'm so so so bored. Not nice at all!
We were just walking round the mall and then we came across this store where there's a nice table set up with the sign that sales "Invited Guests" among some other information. I presume it's for the launch of their new series of bags or something.... and anyone seems to be able to get in, so we also go and KPO. Of course part of the reason why we were eager to get in was also because, there's a free goodie bag for anyone who puts down the name.
Ok. We'll do just that then! And we got this cute and pretty goodie bag filled with their catalogue and also a notebook. Which I threw everything away when I was packing for the return trip home except bring back the notebook and paperbag. =PQuite nice don't you think? And hor, the prices of all those bags are easily in the 4 to 5 figures range hor. But pardon me, I'm very mountain turtle, I've not heard of this brand before. But the ladies who were seated inside are all tai tais... where champange, coffee, dainty cupcakes are serve. I did not have a chance to snap any photo with so many people around but I sure did enjoy looking and touching at all those pieces!
By this time, we both decided that we should be making our way back to the resort as we still need to catch trains and then the boat ride and we are not really sure how long is the train ride. The boat quits operation at 9.30pm and doesn't run if it's raining. We better get our ass on that boat!
Just our luck, the moment we left KLCC, it started to pour! Along with the rain, our hearts sank further and further. We don't want to wait in the rain for that boat and imagine, both of us, or rather me, with my arms full of purchases, so obvious we are not locals!
I was really praying hard for the rain to stop and that we can catch the boat safetly. I've kind of forgetten that KL train systems are pretty weird... and gosh... when we both managed to squeeze into that train... I've never felt so scared in my life before.
Horrible train's tickets. KMT or KTM something like that. The train's jam packed! Skin to skin! Gosh.... horrible experience and there's lots of shoving, pushing and grabbing.
There was this indian (I think) lady who kept pushing me from behind. She stopped after I glared back at her. Hello. I'm stuck too. I can't move. U push me also no use! Then once in the train, as she has nothing to grab on to, she kept grabbing my hands to stop herself from falling. SOOO irritating can! And she can smile and laugh at me. I just glared back! *ARGH*
Finally, reached our station and we both step out and heave a huge sign of relief! We were afraid of pickpockets among being molested la.
The next challange is to find the jetty for the boat. Thank God, we did not have to look very far. We could see the sign and we went off. And Thank God again, the rain stopped. Or rather, it did not seem to be raining at Serdang. We did not have to wait long and we could see our boat approaching! Yippee!!
I doubt the waters are very deep but we were both so relief to be safely on board and on the way "home".Happy smiles after the horrible train ride!
Finally, a familiar sight. The MINES Shopping Fair! Which we got to pay for our boat ride and then off in search of food! Boat ride's $3RM each for that 4 min or less ride. But as long as it gets us safely to where we are familiar with. It's fine.
Chow time and we settled for KFC. Simply coz it's right in front of us and we were both sooo tired out. But hey! The food's really cheap. For this BIG bucket that comprises of 6 pc chicken, 4 sticks of kebab, 1 medium potatoe wedges, 1 small mash potatoes, 1 veggie salad and a 1.5L of Pepsi, it's less than $40RM! And we ate and we ate and we ate. We finished almost everything saved for the last few pieces of wedges and drinks. Yes. We were that famished!
We sat there for a good hour before moving off because our poor poor feet were really aching. After such a meal, we got to work off some of it before calling it a day and we went off walking around the MINES Mall the 2nd time.
This time, we bought heels and shoes. I score for myself 2 pretty pairs! Cheap. Cheap. 20% and 50% off respectively. =)
I've actually seen a top and a skirt that I want to get for my girl friend for her upcoming Bday and we head back to the same store to get it. And while paying, I got a Tee for myself.
All in all, my loots for the 2nd day......Books, Make Up, Tee and Heels for myself. A top and skirt for Bday friend. Cutie girls clothings for Clara and Chloe! =)
Of course, with plenty of receipts to boot, I have of course, nearly spent all my cash and have exchanged an additional $100 SGD and swipe the card plenty of times too!But I throughly enjoyed every single minute of the spending and buying!

KL Trip - Day 1, Arrival and @ MINES Shopping Fair
What was supposed to be a R&R KL trip turned out to be a MAJOR Shopping trip. And to think, we, Tri and I purposely choose to put up at a hotel which is out of town and yet, we still managed to almost clear the malls!
On the way there, there was only just Tri, me and the driver on the coach. Which I must admit freaked us out a little. But no harm was done, we reached the hotel at about 1.30pm well ahead of schedule and we cannot even check in coz we were so early!
Hence, with rumbling tummies, we left our things at the concierge and we went off to search for food. Too hungry to walk and think, we settled for the first restaurant that caught our eyes.
Nando's.They seriously were ALL over the place. With at least 1 outlet in every mall we went to and we hit a few malls within the few days that we were there.
Too hungry to even look at the menu much, we just settled for the Starters which includes a little of everything and is also our main meal. Part of the reason is also because, the minute the menu is opened, this huge ass picture of the starters just stare right back at us... hence, easiest to just get this and done with instead of still torturing my food deprived stomach and very tired brain.
Which comes with 4 different sauces and we can pick our own level of spiciness. I think the Garlic chili is by far the best.
But I do like the way the sauces are there available for your own tasting and mixing and to experiment which is the favorite.
The starters took some time to arrive and by then, our eyes were busy roving round the mall to see what and where we should start.
Of course trying to pick out some shops that looks more promising prove to be quite tough... coz we were seated by the internal river that leads straight into the MINES resort and all we could see was the river and a toy store or hmm.. was it SASA? I can't really remember now.
All I remembered was I was desperately hungry and wishing that food will come fast. Pronto.
Even drinks took a long time to be placed before us. =( And not even our cutlery was given to us. For a while, I really thought we got to eat with our bare hands! Thank God, the waitress finally realized we do not have cutlery and drinks and proceed to give us what we need.
After a wait that seems like eternity, our food finally finally arrived on the table. The starters which we took as our mains. Suits us just fine. We were really really that hungry, chicken wings, warm pita bread in bite size, kebabs and sausages for just RM $24.90. Worth every single penny!
And add on RM $9.90 each, we got a glass of soft drink and a dessert!
Strawberry on don't know what cake... but VERY good.
My only grouse was, they serve us the dessert TOGETHER with the starters.
So you can imagine, we were trying to eat our hot food before it turns cold and trying to eat our dessert before it melts.
The Irony. =/ But what to do? We have communication issues, she only speaks limited English and we're just too hungry to say anything else. Just eat whatever is on the table first!
Anyway, after a very satisfying lunch, we realized it was pouring. So, we were trapped inside the mall. Off we go to look at the shops. And before long, I walked out of a shop with a pair of shorts! We finally decided that we should head back to our hotel to check in and freshen up after doing a quick survey of the malls. There was a Chinese books exhibition going on in the exhibition area but there's an entry fee of RM $2 which we refused to pay... since in SG, we don't have to pay to go for books fare, hence we gave that a miss! So, we just head to Giant to get our water and go back to hotel.
Hotel is pretty normal I guess. A little small but I guess still acceptable.
I mean it's comfy enough for both of us with a sitting area and dresser, which I must add, we hardly use. We basically laze on bed after shower. And lay our purchases on bed to snap snap snap photos after the day.
Dresser and sitting area is hmm.... to put things.
Comes with a tiny bathtub too. But I did not really use the tub except to stand in it while showering. M'sia water is not suitable to make bubble baths at all!
Somehow, the bubbles just won't foam no matter how much it's added... unless, the WHOLE damn bottle is used. Anyway, I think M'sia waters are very drying on skin. I can feel the tightening effect every single time I on the tap.View's not too bad. Can see the main hotel lobby and also all the way to the other end where the other hotel, Golden Horse is located, which is also part of the MINES Resort.
Just for the record, MINES Resort comprises of Golden Horse, Golf range, our hotel, the MINES Shopping Fair, Wonderland and Exhibition area I think.
Needless to say, the most frequented area of the MINES resort is the Shopping Fair.
Every SINGLE day, we will go to the Shopping Fair and every single time, we'll find something to buy.
Be it a top, a dress, a pair of shoes or snacks. There's ALWAYS just something to buy no matter how many times or how long we are inside the place!
We pass by the mall every single day and every time, we'll just get something. Sounds unbelievable right, so many damn things to buy?! I don't believe it myself. But it's absolutely true."Beach" is right below us. Only thing is, the beach's really tiny and not supposed to cross the strings of balls. =/
I don't really like the balcony walls, can see all the way through to your neighbors. I feel no privacy. But then again, in our 3 nights there, only once I saw my neighbor. So... I guess, nobody uses the balcony anyway.
But I was thinking, not very romantic for couples lor. Imagine being seen by all the neighbors. =( Not to mention being seen by the people in the lobby as well!
Hardly a nice place to get romantic at all. But I must say, despite all of it, it's still quite a nice place.
Can see far and many things at the same time.
So, after a short rest, putting away of things, a much needed shower and taken enough photos, we decided to head out to the mall again. First to see to our rumbling tummies once again. This time, we had Chinese herbal boiled soup!My set is lotus with peanuts soup and all of these soups can come in a set which will consists of a bowl of rice and a plate of soya sauce chicken and veggies. All these for only RM $10.90!
Eat till full full some more! But I'm not used to the Malaysian way of cooking their food. It's either too sweet or too salty for my liking. But still acceptable.
But the people in this shop, especially the guy who took our orders is horrible. Service SUCKS big time. Damn grouchy as though we owe him a million RM! *Humph*
After dinner, our favorite past time... Shopping! This time, I walked out with 2 tops. My whole day of loots consists of 2 tops, a pair of shorts and panties. Not bad at all for just a half day arrival thing, ya know! =)
Total expenses of food and shopping was about RM $270. Ok. Still not too bad. I think if I continue to keep my expenses this low, I should be able to survive within my budget , but of course, I burst it big time the next day. =(

Deal or no Deal?
Hub and I decided that we'll be getting a WII.... only thing now is to find out the different bundles and then make the purchase.
We found out that the shop in J8 sells the bundle at $645 with the following items:
Mod Wii Console Set
Additional pair of controller & nunchuk
5 games
Quite a good deal hor?
So now waiting for da man to nod or to shake his head and also for his exams to finish and then we'll go get one.
And meanwhile, I'm dreaming of the games I want to get. =D
Games like Mario Galaxy
Fly into outer space and catch stars? =P
Mario Party 8
I think I have this in my DS already, so may give it a miss. But it's really very cute and fun!
Mario Kart!
But this needs an additional Wii wheel if hub and me were to play together . So, may not get?
Super Paper Mario!
Aiyah... basically, as long as Mario games, ALL I like! =)
Not sure, all I know is that definitely, I want at least 1 Mario game. The rest, Hub can choose. When I hear of more fun Mario games, then I'll bug him to get it for me!
whahahahahaha....

*Ouch*
Very very painful experience.
Me and my carelessness and stupidness, have caused myself a 10 mark question. The worse is, I KNOW how to do the question.
And it's cause I did NOT flip all the way to the last page. I did not do the 10 mark question for Econs. And why did I not flip to the last page? Coz I know mentally that I did not do qn 1 as I was totally stumped by it. Then upon completed page 7, I happily flipped back to Qn 1 the other way round, missing the last 10 marks totally... and I still had about 45 mins to go before the paper ends!! I could have easily done the 10 marks!!! I gave up a sure win 10 marks to attempt a stupid 25 marks which I know nuts about!
So, all in, I've lost 35 marks. =(
*OUCH*OUCH*
I'm sooooooooooooooooo depressed. =(

Something to look forward to!
Am having my last paper (of this semester) on Wednesday, 10am. Thank God this time it's in SIM instead of the forsaken Expo! It took me almost 90mins to reach there! I hope it will be the LAST paper that I have to go all the way to Expo.
Anyway, with the scent of end of exams so near, I'm getting excited. Excited that finally, it's over for this semester. Of course, I won't know my results till Dec. But, my motto is, I've tried my best for the paper and the rest will leave it to God to bless me with a grade I deserve. Of course, I won't say "No" to Dist or A's. But as long as can clear the module and maintain my current accumulated GPA, any grade is fine.
I have 1 more day to go before the blessed Econs paper on Wed. Honestly, I'm quite nervous, there's so many formulas and different steps to follow thru and to remember. I just hope that my revision will be enough to see me through it.
=/
Enough of this exams thing. Just do my best and get it over and done with. *BLEAH*
The next most exciting thing is, bestie and me, we've made a F&E, relaxing trip to Malaysia, KL! We decided on last Thursday / Friday and today, we book went down to make our booking! =) Part of the reason that we both wanted to go away and disappear was coz she's stressed at work, I was fuming mad at hub...
Well, we'll be departing on 19 Nov, that's next Wed. Exactly a week away after my last paper! And, we'll be back on 22 Nov. 4D3N! Whoo hoo!!
Have made booking for a room in Palace Beach and Spa. The ONLY beach resort in KL city! I'm looking forward to the relaxing and lazy days ahead.
I'm especially excited over the MINES Shopping Fair!
What's so interesting is that it's like a city build on the river! I can't wait to go and try it out!!
There's also a Wonderland...
with Aqua laser shows, musical fountains, light fantasy, performances.... etc etc... I think it's also a family theme resort.
Shall try to go and then review!
Best of all, I think it's pretty affordable! We're paying like $250 each for transport, pick up from Golden Mile and Hotel, room, daily breakfast. There's also a "wawa" tour thrown in. I've no idea what it is, but the tour consultant mentioned it's something similiar to the local "Duck Tours". Fine with me, locally so expensive, I won't go lor. hahahaha
I'm getting more and more excited and I can't wait for next Wed to hurry up and arrive! The only thing is, the journey on coach is almost 5 hours! Sit till my butt will sore lei. =( But the good thing is, we're leaving early early at 8am. So if all goes well, we should arrive at the hotel at around 2pm. Just nice to check in!
The coach will come pick us at about 3pm. So again, nice timing lei! hahahaha
Oh sheesh... We forgot to request for late check out! =/
Nvm. When the consultant calls us to confirm the booking, we'll tell her, else where are we supposed to go or do after we've checked out and wait for coach?!
Excitment. Ya la. KL. Nothing much, but better than stay in SG!
And I know, go with bestie, sure enjoy wan! The gossips, the eating, the shopping.... whoo hoo!!!

Fight or Flight?
When I got married 3 years ago, it never occur to me that one day, I'll have to be fighting for Hub's attention and love. (Of course, at the back of my mind, it did occur to me that maybe one day I'll be fighting with our kids.. but that's a different story.)
However, it NEVER EVER occur to me that I'll be fighting with OBIL for Hub's attention, love, consideration, commitment, promises and fairness in handling things.
Somehow, along the way of our 3 years together, OBIL seemed to be making more and more demands that requires immediate attention from Hub to see to it. Which Hub will never reject. Like the obedient slave to his master. "Yes, Sir" "Yes, Sir" always the reply. Along with the "Yes, Sir" my resentment towards OBIL grew and grew and grew.
And these 3 years, we bicker and had our fair share of disagreements and tiffs and cold wars, just like any other normal couples. Our major fights are few and far in between, which I do think is a healthy sign and really thank God for that. But! our major fights always revolved around the SAME, ONE topic - OBIL.
I do not understand nor find it acceptable that Hub can allow this 1 man to crept and impose on our marriage, and I've expressed it loud and clear, in fact crystal clear, multiple times.
Yet, it falls on deaf ears. Hub simply took me as a mad dog barking and still find all the demands from the OBIL, reasonable, acceptable, do-able and "not at all an issue".
Yeap. My 1 torn in the flesh that is stuck so deep that, if I leave it inside, it will hurt and spread to other areas, causing even more harm, maybe leaving me to amputate an arm and a leg at the end of the day. Yet, if I take it out, it probably requires a massive operation to just remove this torn with a full GA administered to me.
Tell me, what should I do?
I'm tired. Tired of fighting of the same topic. Tired of not understanding why just can't the grown up OBIL take charge of his own things and leave us alone. Tired of swallowing it down and trying to convince myself that Hub is a good man because he values family ties. (This family ties seems to only apply to OBIL but not to me.) Tired of fighting with Hub.
I'm so tired of fighting... so for once, I'm thinking of taking flight, to run away and to escape from it all and since Hub values his bro more than this marriage, maybe I really should just let Hub go back to his bro and there, we'll both be happier?
At least, I do not have to fight Hub for doing whatever OBIL wants him to do. Hub will no longer have to justify nor attempt to explain nor lie to me anymore.
There, with my flight, what he does for his bro is not my concern and neither will I always feel that resentment for OBIL.
A flight does sound attractive.

I'm sick again. =(
Since last night, I had this nauseous feeling... thought it could be indigestion, hence just went to bed with Hub.
This morning, I still felt the feeling there and it seems to have balled into somewhere between the throat and stomach.
Still din think too much of it and went to work as usual.
Only after I reached office. HA! It became worse. I was burping by the minute and the nauseous just got worse and there's this pulling pain in my abdomen. I knew I'm down liao. Either gastric flu or stomach flu. Confirm wan.
So, went to see doc and as I expected lor. Gastric Flu!
Hai....
Bad timing lei. My 1st paper on Tuesday and now am down again.
After the doc, I came home, bathe and ate my very very light meal of "fishball dong fen soup", can't finished and I zonked off.. waking up at intervals when I felt my back aching and when the phone rang. I did not even have too much energy to answer the texts. Only replied when I felt more alert.
Jeff, so sweet, text to ask if I need food and all and assured me that he'll kept praying for my speedy recovery as well as to do well in exams.
I pretty much zonked off for 5 straight hours. By the time I woke up, was after 5... no appetite but no med if no food. Forced down half a slice of bread after the med. I really had no energy and was behaving like a spinless person, lying EVERYwhere in the house and finally, I found it so damn bloody hot and went to take a shower again. Not to mention, all my interval waking moments were interrupted with the urge to run to the loo! hai...
I suspected I was running a fever but earlier, at the clinic, no temperature... decided to take my own temperature and I was right. 37.8! Went to hunt for fever med and then swallowed it. Head was pounding.. and after the fever med and after the shower, I finally felt more like a person, not so latergic anymore!
Thank God!
I could even stay up to watch the channel 8, drama at 7pm and then now blog. Not bad. Vast improvement to the earlier zombie state.
Now, my stomach is rumbling... I take it as a good sign! When I can feel hungry, it means I am on the road to recovery! Hooray!!
The only catch is, no food at home. =(
But I shall not be picky, just eat something to ease the gastric juices.. else I'll be in a worse situation than I am now.
Most importantly, I now feel much better and am even able to read a little of my text.. to prepare for the Tuesday paper!
My dear friends, pls pls pray for me to fully recover and to do well for my papers, ya?
Big Thanks in advance!!!

Relief!
Good Day!
Total relief after handing in the silly Intl Econs. =)
No use worrying about grades now since I still have another 2 paper to sit for next Tuesday and next next Wednesday. Will only be praying can clear all the modules this sem.
And I made a rush decision to chop off my hair in the morning the moment I reached office. I really have had enough of the wayward curls and messy mob.
Made the appointment and during lunch hour, rushed down to AMK Hub. Within 45 mins, I'm out sporting a new and sassy bob!
Good!
Best of all, Jeff called to offer me a lift to SIM later. I got to reach early since I need to hand in the assignment and also have dinner and then class. So just as well.
I really feel oh-so-relief, relax and good after the online submission of this Intl Econs. Now to work hard for the Managerial Econs and the Communications.
JIA YOU!!!

OOS!
The spree organizer emailed me to tell me that the moleskine 2009 orgainzer I placed an order for is OOS!
Or rather the size I wanted is OOS worldwide - Italy & Asia. =(
And the spree organizer would not be organizing any other Moleskine spree in the near future. So, no choice, I re-ordered the same organizer, but in the larger size. 13 x 21 instead of the 9 x 14.
Well, on the bright side, I will be able to receive it by Mid Nov.

Earliest Christmas Gift!
I am guaranteed of at least 1 Christmas Gift this year.
Sender?
Fancl.
So, of course I went to click to provide details. Now, I shall wait.
I wonder what this mystery gift will be? *excitement* hahahahaha and according to the mailer, it says the mystery gift will be personalized with my name on it!
It's always nice to have a mystery gift, isn't it? The anticipation... hahahahah
Both the lunch time kaki and my guess is that it's going to be an organizer.... Ha! I just ordered one online lei! But oh well... If I really like this organizer, then I may consider giving away the moleskine as a Christmas present? Or... if I don't like it then I will continue to use the moleskine...

I'm down. Officially.
After coughing for more than a week.... I finally went to the doctor this morning.
Doc's verdict.
She: "Some bacterial infection that will get worse. Got to take antibiotics to fight it off. Will give you cough med for the cough and some runny nose tablets."
Me: "But, I don't have a running nose, just nasal congestion and lots of back flow."
She: "Then you take twice a day instead of 3 times a day. It's to prevent the back flow and to clear the congestion as well."
Me: "oh... ok."
She: "Rest for today, tomorrow when you go back to work, should be better."
Me: "Can I have tomorrow off as well? My colleagues are down too."
She: "Ok."
So... yes, I'm down. 2 days MC. Today and tomorrow. Which means I'll have a long weekend, which gives me time to do my stupid Econs individual project.
And my pocket is $41 poorer!
Goodness!

Changing Skincare
I've had enough of the foam forming everyday! It's really a torture in the mornings when I'm so hard pressed for time!
Hence, I've finally made the painful decision to ditch Fancl and move on to something else. I've been trying to find something that's good and priced reasonably... But am not willing to try The Face Shop, Skin Food nor those from Body Shop... Somehow, I don't quite trust their products especially skin care. Cosmetics ok. But definitely not skincare which I rely on heavily. I'll rather pay more and to get better.
Cindy came back and reviewed that her range is good and she really swears by it. So. Ok. I'm changing.
Vitasence.
My new skincare products.
I'm getting the basic skin care set, Cleansing Mousse, Revatalising Tonic (Tonner), Day and Night moisturizer. On top of that, I'm getting an extra bottle of the Total make up remover. Not that Fancl's not good. Just that Fancl's can't remove my Kate eyeliner and MM mascara completely and totally. I've got to use a separate eye make up remover before using Fancl. Troublesome lor!!! I was told that Vita's make up remover works the same way but all traces of make up are removed effortlessly! It's definitely worth my trial then.
Price wise, it may seem more pricy than Fancl now, since I'm going to spend close to $200 on it. But, it's bigger and when compared the size to the dollars of that of Fancl's, it works out to be pretty much the same.
Don't believe? Do a price and size comparision then! Based on the prices that Cindy can get for me at 25% off for Vita and based on 10% off if I were to get from Fancl... and of course I cannot get the exact same measurement.. but roughly it's like the table basing on similiar quantity.
I did the comparision as fair as I could and cost wise, Vita is proven to be much better with about $17 savings just on my basic items alone! And some items are in bigger sizes as compared to Fancl's!
Best of all, Vita even has delivery service lei! All I need to do is ask Cin to key in orders for me online and the items can be delievered the next working day!
The only thing is that coz I am changing everything, so it's about $200 as "start up costs."
But nevertheless, I'm changing and that's it! The table only serves to bring out the contrasts. But if you are a Fancl user, no offense. It's me in wanting a good and cheaper deal. =P
Edited to add...
The highly efficient Cindy has made orders for me and I'm just sitting at home trying to do my econs and waiting for the delivery at the same time.
Pretty excited about it coz the packaging are quite nice and simple. Just white with black text and the bottles are really quite clean and attractive. Rounded and smooth. hee..
Price wise, with 25% is definitely worth getting... slightly cheaper to Fancl too!
My loots this time... 6 items.
