Another 30 days more and I'll be saying 'bye bye' to my singlehood status. On one hand, I'm getting tired of the wedding preparations and yet on the other hand, the responsbility of getting married, having another set of parents & starting my own family seems a bit daunting at times.
It seems so easy to just say "We are getting married" and then the flurry of activities from seaching of venue, to BS, to dates, to design of cards, wedding favours blah blah blah just seems to happen! Like the river that flows from 1 end to the other, all these things just seems to take care of itself with some efforts from us. Guess that it's good that we do not have so many issues to worry about.. but it's like.. i don't have time for myself anymore! Before all these, we had the hse reno to take care of as well... Wow.. that was really the high tension high temper high spending times! I'm v v glad that at least it is over. Of course there are still things to pay and maintain and to continue buying but at least that part of worrying where and how to get the $$ is over. Nw is we just buy what we need and wat we can afford.
Sometimes, i wonder, it's so easy to say "I do" but it's much effort and energy to keep to the "I do" how do we make sure that we are not saying "I do" to the wrong person? Or does it mean that being a catholic, we do our best to live, endure and love each other forever and ever? Since we are not allowed to divorce?
My godma says, in her marriage, there are so many times and trials and things that will cause her to rethink abt her marriage and there are times when these trials seem too much to bear and divorce is 1 option. But because of her faith and love for God and of course her hubby and family, she stayed on. She warned me, marriage is not a bed of roses and that it requires much work and effort. There's no turing back the moment we say 'Yes' in God's house.
At the moment, there's only lovely rosy pictures in my mind. I know that there will be times when i cannot stand hubby but I can only see pretty pictures in my head.. does it mean that I am not being practical? But if i am, I will not be writting this now.
Can't really explain how or what I am feeling coz I kind of wishing that the BIG day will come soon and that will put an end to my endless plans and changes.. But yet, am abit afraid of "the next day"..
I guess above all these nagging thoughts and worries and fears.. bottom line is... "Make Love a Choice".
