Have been thinking of doing this post for a long time but always, never had the patience nor gather enough effort to actually sit down to do it. Plus the fact that I have way too much make up, to do a post like this means I got to go and take photos of the stack of make up lying in my drawer and the thought of it puts me off already.
But out of a sudden, I thought, I should do a post on it, and I shall only "feature" those items that I'm using almost on a daily basis or else 2,3 times a week. But, of all the items featured mostly from Benefits Cosmetics and Clarins, I still have lots of them of different various brands lying in the cupboard waiting for me to dig them out to see the sunlight again... But unfortunately, I think I most likely will not do that since it has been ages since I last brought them out of the drawer and I figured the next time they see sunlight, it will be into the bin already.
I must first declare that I'm a lazy person, hence, my make up are mostly the simple and idiot proof kind. Colors and shades are mostly neutrals hence nothing should go wrong. I hate mixing and matching of colors because I know I will never get to finish pots and pots of colors yet I'll keep buying and I'm just too lazy and honestly cannot really be bothered to go on a mixing and matching mood in the early mornings. Hence, I've changed my make up habit to only include things that either come in box or small quantity. Anything that comes in a big packaging only belongs to the family of essentials and usually, it falls into my Bases and or Foundation family.
Anyway, to start it off, my various bases and foundation.
In our hot and super sunny Singapore, Sunblock is very very important. I almost never leave home without it unless it's just a trip to the coffee shop downstairs to get food. I've been using Clarins Sunblock for almost 2 years and I really like it. It's very light, not oily and definitely easy to absorb into the skin. There's no additional fragrance so, need not be afraid of those weird smells. And an amount of close to a dollar coin size is enough to cover my whole face and best of all, the SPF is 40! That's one of the highest sun block I've used so far.
I've got rather oily eye lids sad to say, and my eye shadow (ES) does not stay on. Either that, or it will start to have that ugly crease line by the middle of the day! Hence, I've been going around without ES for a long time. But, I've found my Saviour! The Benefit Cosmetics (BC) Nude Eye Primer is good! It helps me to lock in my ES for most of the day, unless I've accidentally added too much ES, else my lids looks pretty good till I head for home in the evenings. On those days where I'm lazy or on weekends, where I just need minimal coverage, I'll just use the lemon aid to dab and blend it over my lids and my eyes look fresh!
I use a face primer for the rest of my face and again, it's from BC; That Gal. This has a natural sweet fragrance that reminds me of sweet strawberries. I never fail to put this on before my liquid foundation, which I'm currently using Estee's. That Gal is also great for weekends when I go to church and I don't want to put on the full make up and wash off everything in just a matter of 2,3 hours, I'll use just the primer with the rest of my other point make up and I'm ready to go. That of course, also gives me more sleeping time!
After the bases and foundation, comes the rest of the colors.
There are some ladies who die die must start their make up from their brows down to eyes, then cheeks and lips. I do not follow such a formula. I just do whichever I feel like doing first.
And in most cases, I start with my eye lashes. As I usually add a few layers of lash protector, (currently using Mavala), I'll do that first. While it's in the process of drying, I'll do my cheeks. Yups. Cheeks. Sometimes, I'll use the High Beam (3 dots on cheek bones) and Benetint (3,4 strokes) and blend blend blend. Or I'll just use the cream blusher. Most times, I'll add a layer or two of the Dandelion over my cheeks to give it a girly pinky blush. But almost all the time, I'll add High Beam to the curve of my brows and also the bridge of my nose to give it just a little highlight and to bring out my features.
Next, I'll do my brows. Either the BC, Big Beautiful Eyes BBE) darkest shade or I'll just use some eyebrow pencil to fill in and to darken. No particular brand, as long as I like it, I'll use it. Sasa has some pretty cheap and good brands or Kate has it too.
To achieve that dolly looking curvy eyelash, definitely need a curler, I hate those manual curlers where you got to "kiap" it for a few seconds. I've switched to a battery operated one. That's part of the reason why I put layers and layers of lash protectors over my lash before "kiapping" it. After the curling, I usually will do my ES, which the BC, BBE is so convenient. I hate the bit of a big pot and I can NEVER finish the colors, but BBE comes in 3 shades and 2 small brushes which makes it so convenient for me to use. When I need lighter and brighter colors, I'll use lesser. When I want it to last and be more outstanding, I'll just use the darker shades. Best for lazy people like me! But on those days I'm lazy, I have an even better and idiot proof yet guaranteed to wake up those peepers! The Eye Bright! A pink soft pencil which is used on the lids and once blended gives a soft pink to those peepers and immediately caused those peepers to appear bigger and brighter!
Lastly for my peepers, how can I forget the eyeliner and lashes that I've painstakingly protected and curled? A thin, dark line on the upper lash and then a coat of mascara. I swear by MM mascara. It's a subsidiary of Shishedo make up and I love it to bits! It lengthens very well and lashes stays curled for the whole day! Best of all, it's so affordable at less than $18 SGD! Only thing is, if it's purchased locally, it costs more than $30! But get your girlies to get it in Taiwan or Japan and it's really so cheap! The current tube is already my 3rd or maybe even 4th!
I'm not a lippies person, I find it a hassle and a damn waste to keep applying lippies especially when I got to re-apply after a drink or a meal. I hate that kind of hassle and it irritates me no end when I see my own lippies mark on the cup or straw or anything.
Hence, I only use lip balm or gloss, to give that shine and also to protect my very dry lips.
For the protection & moisture, I'm using Clarins Moisture Replenishing Lip Balm. Not bad, can feel that it's liquid base and I quite like it only thing is, I don't quite like the way the design of the mouth of the balm. But then again, I guess there's not much choice.
A recent discovery is the California Kissin gloss by BC. There's mint in it hence there's a refreshing feeling on the lips after application and there's some glitter which really makes my lips shine!
For the grand finale, how can I forget the loose powder. 1 sure way to hide any redness and spots will be the Bluff Dust. I just sweep it all over my face adding more when necessary over areas that needs to be hidden. Else I'm ready to go now.
I have another 2 small boxes of items of BC, those are my touch ups and like the name suggest, "Just In Case" for any of those just in case moments!
I think by now, I would have already spent close to 30 mins just on my face, taking another 5 minutes for my hair, accessories (which I seldom change, I wear the same daily) and a few squirts of my fragrance, I'm really ready to get out of the house. Usually by now, Hubby will be giving me hints that he's running late! hahahahahah....
So, that's the products I'm using and how I do my make up in the mornings in a nutshell. I know, it's not the right way or procedure nor do I really care, because, I think so far my face is pretty presentable as it is when I do reach office.

Dinner with the SIM Gang
Friday. 20 June 08.
Had dinner with my usual gang of SIM friends. Was supposed to meet up after the exams to chill but for some reasons, we dragged and dragged and then the date was finally decided on 20 June and it also got some of us worried since it was the same day the results will be released.
Most of us were worried that we'll do badly but thank God, most of us did pretty well! =) The few of us who made it to the dinner. Sa, Me, WW, JD, mer and his family. His boy looks pretty grumpy in this pic, but he's not! He's so cute and cheeky! hahahahaha... Quite a handful too!
We made plans to meet up in Vivo Marche for wholesome family time, so that Mer can bring his family along... since it would be easier to meet him with his family rather than for him to apply visa to have a chilling and drinking session with us.
What to do? When you have a family, it's like that la, the spouse got to grant the visa before anything can be done, right Bro!? hahahaha....
Anyway, his boy has grown so much since the last time I saw them in church.
So cute also too the little Shannon! Almost a photocopy of his daddy in real life. Little Shannon is most happy when he's waving his green balloon in the air. And he's so playful and intelligent! He'll throw the balloon to one of us and if we caught it, he'll bring his hands together, Clap and go "YAY" at the same time! whahahahahhahahaha
We had lots of fun, chatting and playing with the little one.
Was a pretty short night, after dinner, we just went home too. Better that way too, since a few of us had a long day and with a little boy in tow, better get home early so that he won't get too cranky!
Till the next after exams people!

Happy Day!
Early early morning, I got a MMS from the lunchtime kaki... my DS casing is here! Bright, cheery and Girly looking. Just my kind of casing!
Doesn't my DS looks so pretty in new clothes?! =)
Ok la, my camera does not capture such a nice pic but you get the overall picture. Just realised, there's not much light in office to capture a nice photo. =/
And the best news of all is, I've got my grades back for the last semester.
I PASSED lei!
Some more got 1 Distinction! My first, one and only precious Distinction! The other 2 modules, I got a B each. Not fanastic, but I'm happy with it.
I'm not one who aims for the sky hence, B is good for me. =) Satisfied and contended with it already.
2 good and happy piece of news in 1 day!
Now I can go and celebrate! I want to go shopping, buy lots of things, useful or otherwise, lots of pretty clothes, lots of everything and go and FEAST and CELEBRATE!!!
I have a dinner date at Vivo, Marche tonight with some of my Uni friends... and next week, dinner with the lunchtime Kaki and then a high tea session!
Yups.... I'm definitely feasting!
I've been searching for a leather watch and I saw this cheap and nice one on F21.
Only USD $14.80 lei! So, cannot miss right? =P
Contemporary polished square bezel watch with faux leather band and rhinestone numbers. Nice and cheap. Good. Placed order already.
Should arrive by July. hahahhahahaha... 1st purchase to celebrate my moving on to 4th semester! =)

Doing my part
I've been trying to do my teensy, tiny part to save Gaia.
Besides the printing on both sides of paper, switch off lights, power etc etc, I'm also trying to reduce the use of plastic bags.
I still don't really remember to bring my own bags to NTUC, though I do have that big bag, 2 of them to be exact, but I usually go to NTUC from work and in my Coachie, I can hardly fit in the NTUC bag.
I think my lunch kaki has resolved that issue for me once and for all.
Met up with her in town last evening and we got this. A pouch? How's that going to resolve my reduction of plastic bags, you say.
Well, it does. See, there's 5 envirosax bags in that pouch!
We were ready to buy individual ones till we realised, we each could save a dollar or 2 off each bag if we get this ready packed series. Hence, we picked the Mikado Pouch series to share between the 2 of us.
I choose
and
for myself. One will be brought along with me daily to work. The other, I can leave it at home or something and when necessary will bring it together or I can just give it to my mom for her own shopping needs.
Now the good thing of this bag is that it can be rolled up into a small ball which weighs about 40g(about the size or smaller of a pair of adult socks!) which I can easily bring along with me when we go out for our lunches. Which I happen to notice, we buy more during lunches than the shopping trips! I think it will greatly reduce the number of bags that we will use... since the number of things we buy during lunches are well.... especially when we do go to NTUC....
Anyway, how's the bags gonna looked like when it's being carried.
Of course, I have no intentions of getting so many, it's not exactly cheap too ya know. Each bag can carry a load of up to 12kg (or equivalent to 2 supermarket plastic bags), which I think is quite a lot. Made with lightweight polyester, portable and waterproof.
Get the bags online at Envirosax or at Taka, Basement 1. I think it's about $10.90 each but if you have friends to share, much more worthwhile to get the packs, since it's $45 for 5. I do think other malls will be selling it just that we did not walk around.
But I do like the Kitchen Retro Series!
I probably would have gotten this yesterday if I've seen it, just that it was not available then. Anyway. I like what I have now too.

B-spot!
Got another mailer from Benefits.
This time, it's B Spot!
The new fragrance from BC. Looks very fresh and green to me. Not sure how's the scent like since I've not step foot into Tangs for ages. Will make a trip there to find out one day.
Anyway, there's a quiz to find out your own personal spot... Quiz here.
I'm a "Savvy Simone" and my spots are at the bend of my elbows and on bended knees.... Just how am I supposed to reach this 'spot' when I'm fully dressed wearing pants or jeans is a question that I'll have to deal with. =/ Anyway, just in case you are curious, nope, I have no intentions of getting this item because 1) it cannot be shipped to SG. 2) I just got myself a brand new Estee Fragrance not too long ago, which I have yet to even use. 3) Issey's having promotion. 2 bottles for like $150.
So why should I waste $$ on this?

I'm at it again.
Title says it all doesn't it?
Damage this time? Unknow yet coz the bill's not here yet.
I'm begining to see the wonders of wearing 1 piece dress to work. It certainly makes the dressing up process in the morning a much faster and less painful. That's not all, I got another dress while out for lunch with the kaki earlier too. Can't blame me, it was 40% off! And the colour's so pretty and nice! Plus the materials very comfy and most important of all, I look good in it! hahahahaha...
I'm getting so sick and tired of having to pick up various pieces of tops and bottoms to mix and match and it's taking me forever to get dressed in the mornings now. This time, I got myself single piece dress! Just pull it over myself and I'm ready for the next step.
I wish someone can invent 3/4 full make up that I can just plaster over my face and within 3 mins I can get out.
I bought a chio looking casing for my DS too for about $20 SGD! Looks like my DS's gonna have new clothes as well!=D

I think it's pretty pointless to say it's in Pink right? OF COURSE it WILL be in PINK. The casing does look very solid and what I like is that it's almost an all in one.Comes with card holders and compartments where I can house the additional games. COOL! Not that I have that many games to house anyway.
At the moment, I only have 2 original games and I have 3 CD worth of "er-hem" games... which I've only stored a small portion into the trusty R4.
Hence, just 2 game card slots will be more than enough for me. I doubt I will buy more new games anyway, I have too many to get myself familiar with at present already!
Lunchtime kaki's significant other helped me order it online and I should be able to receive it by end of next week!=) Get it here if you want new clothes for your DS too!
It's free delivery to SG and my goodness, he just emailed me to let me know the price. It's only $18 SGD and delivered to his doorstep! Really, where on earth in SG can I get such a good deal!?
Which sets me thinking, does things in SG really have to be so damn expensive? It's still the same item after all right? Why must it be retailed at such horrible and horrendous prices?!
Actually, if not for the fact that this IS in pink and the unfortunate fact that this other one is Out of Stock, I think I would have gotten the other one instead!
Cute ya?
But then again, I think this will probably still be out of my choice since my DS is already skinned, having a casing with Mario won't show up well. But it is so cute right?! My favorite game!Maybe, I should just go back to the skins webby and see if they have new stock... Mario? hahahahaha....

Dinner with Girlies
After so long, finally had the chance to meet up with my Girlies for dinner! We went to Aji Teh in Bugis for Japanese Food. We actually did not order a lot of food, 2 appetizers to share and then a main meal each. But as usual as all girlies meeting, food is always secondary.
The catching up and being in each others' pressence is the most important thing!Been so long since I last met the 2 of them, really enjoyed ourselves very much too. =)

Come. Come. Share share la~
My lunch time Kaki and I have a long long craving for Nachos and Melted Cheese and we even went to search online for recipe but to no avail la, we did not manage to find a decent and simple recipe. We can of course easily go to Golden Village cineplexes to get it but it's so expensive and the given amount is so little, I "ngiow" heart pain lor. So have been searching for a more economical way of getting that melted cheese and I think my efforts are finally slowly begining to pay off.
During the Sunday canteen in my Church, there was melted cheese and nachos being sold. And I managed to find the vendor whose selling it.
The costs is about $25 for the frozen cheese, which can make about 1 pot of melted cheese. Each pot is approximately the size of a 10 cup rice cooker pot. Can satisfy my craving BIG time mann!
Vendor sells nachos as well at a much cheaper rate than outside, at $15 for a KILO!
The cheese comes sealed in a vacumned pack bag and can be left in room temperature as long as it's not open. Once opened, leave it in the fridge. To faciliate the 'eating' process, separate into smaller containers before leaving in fridge. Use a CLEAN & DRY spoon to scoop out necessary amount when necessary. Cheese comes ready to be eaten too! But, I do think warm cheese tastes much better, so can choose to heat it up before eating as well. The choice is open.
Anyone want? Let me know, I can arrange for it. I've already got 4 persons on my end and if you want it, let me know fast... coz I've been like looking around forever for a vendor to sell it and I'm gonna get it by this week!!!

Time to relax
I know I just came back from Phuket not too long ago and another title of "relaxing" seems to be just a tad overboard... But, I can only truly rest and relax after my exams at the end of every semester.
While waiting for results is the best time to enjoy as hard as I possibly can. Since the papers are already handed in, worry also no use anymore. And I believe by now, my paper is also being graded and hopefully moderated UP, no use worrying too.
Best to just pray hard and leave it to God, after all, I've already mug the best I could and done my best.
With all these thoughts in mind, the best way to wait for the exams results will be to do so while having fun. So, my girlies have made plans to meet up for eating, shopping and pure catching up sessions!
The first of which will start this Friday, then next Friday and the next next Friday! Whoo hoo.... I'm looking forward to all these sessions with them... Felt like ages since we last met up!
I LOVE Holidays. No studies, no lessons, no books, no rush, no assignments and the best of all, NO preparation of exams!
Whoo HOO!!!!

Going back to office
After so many days of waking up at my own preferred and sweet timing... albeit waking up very very hot and very stress but still I could sleep in as and when I wanted!
But this will change since I need to be back in office. =(
The past 2 weeks have been full of stress mann.... Time was never enough! I put in at least 8 to 10 hours a day studying, buried myself in my books from my waking moment till I call it a night.
I hope my efforts will not be wasted. =/ Efforts are currently put to the test.
Anyway we shall see if it's worth all my efforts... Results will be released on 23 June, 2pm.
*Keeping fingers cross!*

I'm on the "expedite" list!
I made my order on 28 Apr and the auto reply says "estimated delivery 10 - 11 June"... BUT! I got it today!!! 8 May 08 at 1020 hrs! That's only about 2 weeks!!!
Woah! So fast hor.
I think my name is becoming a hot favorite of Benefits hence my items are delivered so fast!
My loots this time....
Now, I'm on leave (mugging for exams till 23 May) hence, not much chance to test it all out. Will do so the moment I have the chance to!
I'm begining to have more and more BC items and I will need to clear more space for them!
Ok. Time to mug.

So Pretty!
The lunch time kaki saw this yesterday and showed me immediately with the message on msn "I think EM will like this."
I clicked on the given link and I fell in love with it too!!!
It's so pretty lor!!!
Wondering what it is?
The new tint for cheeks and lips! Looks so nice right! And the color is a gorgeous poppy pink! I love it.
Only thing is, the color seems to be too light on me, I'll probably need to apply 2, 3 times before it looks and sits right on my cheeks.
Not to mention, I still have loads of blushers at home, hence will be giving this a miss.
Benefit has so many nice things to buy all the time. Just wish I have more moolah to get everything mann! Pretty Posie tint! When my flush finishes, I shall get you, that is if there is no other prettier ones... hahahahaha

Spent a BOMB!
Went for Facial at Kose on Tuesday and signed a 4+1 package for the Charcoal Treatments at $360. Which will work out to be $72 or so per session. It works out to be about the same price for Fancl facial then and the good thing is, NO need to book way in advance for facials and no need to travel to town!
Went to Robinsons Preview Sale yesterday and walked away with almost 6 months supplies of the Collagen Tense Up, which is equivalent to 11 boxes of 10 bottles each. The promotion is $166 for a month's supply instead of the original $184.50. Hence, it's a savings of $ 18.50 per month.
Luckily they have a drink card system, so I don't have to lug home all 11 boxes at a shot. I'll just bring my card to any Fancl outlet and collect box by box when necessary. Which entitled me to 12 pieces of white masks free...
It's 2 pieces with every $150 spent.... So, you can do simple calculations and figured how much I've spent. Which brings me and the lunch time kaki instantly to "Prestige Members" in just that morning.
I've also bought a new bottle of fragrance from Estee Lauder as my current bottle is running low.
Pleasures, 100ml, at $128, which earned me a free umbrella.
Had dinner at Kushin Bo with Tri and that's another $50 or so. Not to mentioned the breakfast in Ya Kun and Lunch at some HK themed cafe with the lunch time kaki.
Yups, spent a bomb and the best thing is, I came home with almost empty hands! Since I only lugged one box of Tense Up home.

No wonder lor...
Ever wonder if the guys will get sick of waiting outside fitting rooms during sales? The long string of brothers, boyfriends and hubbies I think is just as long as the queue for the fitting room by the ladies at times....
Was at Bishan for lunch with the lunch time kaki and again we pass by the same shops selling more or less the same things.
The kaki decided to get just another pair of pants and we went in. Since she already know her size and all, we merely just went in and asked for a new piece and proceed to make payment.
While at the counter with the SA & the kaki doing the necessary, I was just looking around, I actually saw a dress and a top that I quite like la. But I no mood to try so I just browse around. Then I saw this little boy following behind the mommy tugging at her and said (quite loudly)
"Mommy! Last try ok? LAST Try!" He looked quite grumpy!
and the mommy quickly disappear into the fitting room. I heard the whole thing and was giggling to myself. And I shared it with the kaki and she too laughed... unknown to us, the Daddy was standing quite near to us! Opps.... and the little boy continued to the daddy....
"Daddy. Next time, we don't go out ok? We stay at home. Mommy keeps trying and trying clothes!"
This time, I cannot help it, we both laughed!
So I guessed, all the boyfriends and hubbies have practices like this since young... While they may be making noise at this tender age, when they grow up, they sort of take it as the norm and just wait patiently while the sisters, girlfriends and wifes take their own sweet time inside priming themselves!
I admit, I'm definitely one of those who spend time inside the fitting room priming myself too! hahahahaha.... But it was really so funny lor.

Next to get...
The 2 year contract is up on 23 May 2008.
Aiming for this the moment it's up.....
The Sony Ericsson, W910i!!!
Pretty old model already but nevermind. I don't need a high fuctioned hp since I rarely use the rest of the functions much.
It fulfills my 3 main criterias...
1) Decent camera. This comes with 2M camera with 2.5 digital zoom.
2) FM Radio. I seldom use the MP3 function, so it's just a "good to have" for me. But FM radio is a MUST!
3) Price (only $188 with 2 year plan), color (Hearty Red) and size matches what I want!
Plus the fact that after using Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Motorola handphones, I still like the SE best. Ease of use is comparable to the "idiot phones" of Nokias and usually the camera even though are the same, quality seems better after all.
Best of all, this is matchy matchy with my Sony Cyber Shot T100! Which by the way, my T100 is upgraded to "old model" already, now T300 has taken centre stage!
Anyway, I'm a fan of Sony... I love their products! Aiming a VAIO too...
Too bad the T100 and W910i no pink ones... else, I'll be sure to get the pink and have it matchy with my DS Lite too!
What can I say?? I'm a bimbo in the making lor.. whahahahaha... But it's really so pretty isn't it?!
Ohhh... BTW, the hubby took my DS last night and on further "insepection" exclaimed, "It's much too pink for me to play lei!" and proceed to show me a grumpy face.
Heh! As though I care lor?!
Inside I was thinking.... better still! No one to fight with me liaoz! whahahahahahahahahaha....

Skinned!
I came back on yesterday after my Accounting class and saw an envelope from iStyles.
I was so excited! Coz that only means 1 thing. The skin has arrived! =)
Without any delays, I ripped the envelope opened and sat down to stick the skin C-A-R-E-F-U-L-L-Y on my DS. It took both Hubby and me to finally get it done and right. Can tell I was so excited that I forgot to take any pictures at all lor.
Presenting........ My "made up" DS!!!!!

I'm glad I choose this design! Oh... BTW, that's the game I'm currently addicted to, "Mario Brothers, Partners in Time" =)
When I'm sick of this skin, shall change a new one. The service of iStyles is rather good. I ordered on Tuesday? And I got it on Friday! Whoo! FAST!!!
Quality is quite good too, not the flimsy sticker kind, it's vinyl backing! Means, even if it's stuck wrongly, can still tear out a few times carefully and slowly without getting the skin out of shape.
The outer and top screen are the easier to manage. The lower screen is harder to do by comparison. There's too many objects to align with. Oh.... BTW, that long bubble on the top screen is not caused by the skin, it's actually the thin plastic cover (similar to that of the plastic covering on new Handphone screens) protecting the crystal casing of the DS. Yar... Since the day I bought it, that plastic thing is still there, I don't see the point in removing it and since it's not falling out, then I just leave it there.
If you look closely, my lower screen is not done well, the thin strip above the screen is not straight, but I'm lazy to tear it out again and because it's such a thin strip, I'm also afraid that I may accidentally break it too.
So the best is to just leave it the way it is. Anyway, it's so tiny, if you don't look closely, can't tell. Plus, it's such a perfect match with the original Pink DS, really it's an negligible thing. =)
Pretty ain't it? =D

Lunch
Went to Junction 8 for lunch with the lunch time kaki and we decided to give a try at the "always crowded Wan Chai Hongkong Tea Room" there.
I remembered I blogged about it, something along the line that I want to go and try with hubby. But the place is always so packed so no choice, till now never had a chance to go in yet.
Finally, had the chance to go and best of all, when we reached there, no crowd! We were one of the few customers. Must be because we reached early.
I had the beef hor fun and iced yuan yang. The beef hor fun is so so, I don't particularly fancy it. I feel that the hor fun is too sticky and chewy. Beef tastes too powderly, not really the way I like it to be done with hor fun. The sauce tasted a little too bland too. Come to think of it, I still prefer the beef hor fun at AMK, the zi char stall in the coffeeshop beside the Singpost. Tates much better and its also cheaper! =)
The kaki tried it and she say not bad. So, to each her own when it comes to food.
She had the seafood baked rice. I tried a bit and I think it's pretty good! The amount of cheese on the rice looks quite generous. The only draw back is, they did not shell the prawns, making it a little tough to eat daintily. But I must say, the kaki does it well. She can eat all kind of difficult to manage food with ease and always with poise!
*ENVY*
I AVOID eating hard to manage food outside coz I know I don't know how to eat it daintily and with poise!
Their Iced Yuan Yang is nice though. It comes with a mixture of coffee and tea and then served with a scoop of vanilia ice-cream! Tastes so good and refreshing. It's at $3 a cup, I think it's pretty pricy lor but then again, it tastes good, so that's fine. Since it's good, $$$ spent on it is acceptable!
Between the 2 of us, with our orders of Seafood Baked rice, Beef hor fun and 2 Ice Yuan Yang, the bill came up to $21. I think that's pretty ok for the filling food.
We gave dessert a missed in the begining as we were not sure if we can finished up everything. And it's a good thing we did order any more dessert, I was filled to the brim after I finished my hor fun and drink!
As like any normal Hong Kong theme cafe, they serve the "Po Lao Baos", "Toasts", "eggs" among other others.
I was thinking, it's quite nice to sit there on a lazy afternoon sipping that Ice Yuan Yang and eating some toasts! Quite shiok right?!
After the blessed exams, will make Hubby come here with me one day and do just that! =)
We went to Fancl after lunch and wow.... we each left with 1 big bag of goodies.
I got another box of the "Green Tea Brown Rice" and in addition to that, I got a box of the "Dietary Fibre Mix". Yeah... I need some fibre supplements in my life. =(
The kaki has 7% off for this month, hence it's a good time to buy these items now. Else, I got to pay the full price and even though I'm a member of Fancl, there's only 5% off for normal purchases lor. I also got a box of the "Clear Sheets" (wet tissues), there's 30 individually wrapped sachets in that box.
This will come in useful when we head to hot hot Phuket next month. I arm myself with lots of wet tissues when we travel but those at Watons makes my face feel very dry. I hope Fancl ones won't since it will be soaked with their moisturizer.
It'll also be pefect for those times when I come back to office after lunch / meetings / visit and sweating profusely! I can wipe off those dirt and digusting things (i.e melted make up) from my face and reapply without feeling dryness! Hooray!
Bought a pair of slippers from M)phosis as well as the current office pair (which I got in Dec 2006) is getting worn off, need to find a replacement for it. I like M)phosis as their designs are pretty stylish, may be a little pricy but it's so comfy! I wear that slippers as long as I'm in my level and within my office itself, though not many people will see me, but still there are some big shots that drop by once a while. Slippers are not allowed lor, hence I try to get something stylish and not too slippers! hahahahahaahAll in all, a good lunch and a fanastic haul! And while on the way back to office, we saw the banner for facial at $39 for first trial. Not bad right. Will be doing something about it. Getting a bit tired of going to Fancl as its soooo hard to make any bookings. =(

Skin
I've finally made up my mind and made the online order for the DS Lite Skin.
Plus the fact that, now that I've made my first purchase, I'll be entittled to 10% off for subsuquent purchases. And most importantly, I'm not too sure of the quality. So one piece for the time being to test test. If all is well, then not too late to get more in future. =) See! I'm not such a bimbo-atic shopper after all too, ya know. hahahahaha....
Anyway, I've choosen "Her Abstraction" for my DS Lite.
It will be the a 100% perfect match on my pink DS.I still like this best from all those I've short listed...
After I get this and 'skinned' my DS, I'll show you all how it looks.
I think this iStyles is not too bad, they have lots of other skins for other gadgets to choose from and it's local shipping, hence I only pay about $1.35 for postage and plus the skin, all in, it's about $15. Quite ok I think. Of course, if there's more orders, there's free postage too. Not bad hor.
Ok. Now, to wait patiently for the skin to come. =D

Treats for the Sweet.
Received quite a fair bit of treats these days... Either, I'm a real sweetie or they think I'm not fat enough.... whahahahaha...
Roche Chocolate Balls coated with nuts from the roomie... It's very nice! Soft, crispy and cruncy all at the same time! I've eaten the 2 other smaller ones before I remembered I should take a photo. Hence, this is what's left.
Then I have the Fancl Brown Rice Crackers....
which lasted me just slightly over a week. It's hard to stop once I see the box. It's so wholesome and healthy tasting! Would love to get more except for the tiny issue that it's almost $20 for that small box of crackers and each indivually wrapped package is almost $5 which barely last thru 10 bites!
Lastly, the lunch time kaki and her significant other bought me a whole can of Jelly Beans and a box of chocolates all nicely packed in a Fancl paper bag too!
I've not opened it yet for the fear of not being ale to stop myself from attacking it. Ironic as it sounds, but I think I will just polished off everything too soon. And something as good as these should be savoured slowly not just gobbled up without tasting it, rolling it over the tongue! Hence. I'm gonna wait a while before opening.
And this is how my TMA question paper looks like for the moment...
and yes, if the background looks familiar, it's caused, it was used to 'catch' any falling nuts, chocolate, flakes whatever for the Roche Chocolate Balls. That shows how irriated I am at the silly assignment! I've been scribbling down notes whenever my lecturer / tutor mentioned the word "TMA" all the pointers are here. But still, I have no idea how to begin writing this last TMA for this semester.
As I write this entry, I think and look at all the written notes and yet, I'm still C-L-U-E-L-E-S-S.Best of all, during the final tutorial last night, the tutor said, "there will no longer be this module from next semester, paper will be replaced from next semester onwards."
GREAT! Fanastic! Meaning to say, I've wasted a whole 4 months mugging for this module only to have the module "retired" and "replaced" and I just found out, another of my "already done and passed" module is ending up in the same fate too!
That makes, 8 months of mugging for 2 redundant modules.
Life's GREAT!!!

DS Lite Skins
I came across a local site having skins for all sorts of skins for various gadgets.
I saw a few that I quite like...I'm not sure which to buy yet, since all these I've choosen seems to either too "match" or "clash" with my Pink DS lei.
The first seems too pink, later stick already cannot see how? Then waste my moolah right? Second is by far my favourite, looks kind of cool and scary at the same time. Thrid to fifth looks cute and colourful. Bright and cheery at the same time! While for the next two, I like the lines but too bad not in any shades of Pink! =( the last is very relaxing kind of feel...all different moods. Of course, I will NOT get all, the most I will get is 2. And I think 2 is also too much. So I shall hence, just get 1.
But which should I choose?!?!?!?! =/
I think, I'll go for the first two? Either one of those.... Not sure yet. Hard to choose la.
The site is here, if you want to get some skins for your gadgets, let me know too, there's FREE REGISTERED post for orders above USD$25!! Which means, I only need about 3 orders to fullfill that! Each DS skin is about $10 USD, convert to SGD is slightly over $14. I'll mail you your item via post or can meet up. Can be arranged la.
Let me know promto promto!!!

Investment
The same day I eyed the earrings, I went to J8 after work and scored for myself a pair almost immediately.
After all those eyeing and surfing of the website, I got a solitaire. It's the most classical and it's suitable for anytime, anyday! I guess what made me go ahead to get it was because Lee Hwa was having a 50% off promotion on solitaires. Hence, it's really quite worth getting it then. I'm paying about $2.3K for the pair. I think it's a pretty good deal, considering that it's of color D and in the range of VS1-VS2.
My next aim will still be a Destinee Diamond. It's so pretty!! =) Which Hubby says he'll buy for me! Woo hoo! =D
And on a completely different note, I realised I have no sleepwear, the kaki was buying some tops from F21 and I lombang her orders. The tunic came as an afterthought since it was on promotion at only $14+ USD.
So, now, my previous F21 was just recently delivered into my hands and now, waiting for more new things.
How my clothes are 'investments' I don't really know, maybe I can set up a clothing home shop? Or maybe, by seeing me in different different clothes all the time, Hubby will still find me appealing and hence, lessen the chances of him "eating out" too? whahahahahahaahahaha

钱不够用啦!
I lost a stud many moons (maybe, even years!) ago and I've been looking for a bling bling since then. Aiming for one of these...
Don't know which pair will suit my budget nor which pair I should go for. All photos taken off the Lee Hwa website. Looking for something that's suitable for day and night wear. Sick of changing earrings daily, so want to just stick to a pair to make my mornings easier.
On top of these, friend's friend say going to US for a month on holiday. And what does US have? COACH! Benefits! Forever 21! I have lots of things aimmed from these places... in fact, too many to even do a collage for display. =(
Only problem is, I've just bought 2 COACHies (2,3 weeks ago), awaiting for a delivery of Benefits (already at post office) and put in another order of F21 (just yesterday)!
I'm soooo overspending, better not buy anything from COACH, nor Benefits nor F21 this round.
Benefits just sent me a mailer screaming "New arrivals. NEW Arrivals!" =(
Why does these retailers always have so many new items to tempt me?! =(

Of food and presents
Had lunch in Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe in Marina. I had Po Lo Bao, Soft boilled eggs, Raddish Cake and Ice Milk Tea.
These was enough to fill me to the brim! Both of us dare not eat too much as we had made plans to go for a dip in Pan Pacific Hotel's pool and we were kind of afraid that our tummies will show after eating. hahahahah...I was very early for our girlies date when in fact we both thought Tri will be early. Having so much time on my hands, I walked around for that document carrier.
I was in search of a document carrier to put my textbooks, notes, stationery and occasionally my notebook. It needs to be large enough for everything at the same time, yet small enough for me to hold in my hands, most important of all, it got to match my Carly since I'm now using the Carly.
I saw a nice one from Hirojshima (or something like that) but it was $135!!! I cannot afford that kind of moolah on it, so walked around some more and I saw a much cheaper one from Charles & Keith. Can't make up my mind so decided to KIV it for the moment.
At this point in time, my dear Tri decided to finally make her grand entrance to Xin Wang and we stayed for over an hour there just sitting, eating and chatting. I really enjoy such girlie sessions. Eat and chat without a care in the world. Damn enjoy and shiok!
After our lunch, we walked to Pan Pacific and on the way, I showed her the cheaper bag. She said not bad and after another 3 seconds of consideration, I got it.
My new document carrier.
Big enough for throw in everything with enough space left too at a mere $40, what more can I say?We spent at least 2 hours in the pool in the hot afternoon sun! I'm so amazed at ourselves. We did not get burnt too. But that's coz we covered ourselves totally in sun block, stayed in whatever shade we could find and hide in the water too!
We are a disgrace to swimmers. We just sat at the side of the pool and chatted the whole time! Our faces and hair were not even wet. Oh... and I must say, either my cosmetics are good or my make up and bathing skills are good! Coz after the dip and shower, my make up still looks good! I merely did a little touch up here and there only! Woo.... Now that I know, maybe Tri and I can arrange for another session another time and this time, I won't bring so much barang barang!
Before we left Marina, Tri wanted to go back to Zara to check out a top we passed by on the way. That top is nice. Too bad no size available but in a way I think it's good that there's no size.... that top is a whopping $219!!! Oh my goodness. SO expensive lor. She did not manage to get anything while I managed to get a simple turtle neck short sleeve Tee for $20! Material is good. Was a good buy! =)
Finally, we left Marina and went to PS for dinner. Dinner was another filling affair.
Mahattan Seafood Platter for 2.
See la, so much food. Can die not! But we finished almost everything... heh heh... I love the creamy sauce on the prawns and when it was mixed with the garlic rice.... wooo la la....Chatted some more and then soon it was time to heed for home after I got some snacks from Daiso. Cheap la that place. Everything for $2! My dear Tri hor, is Cindrella's sister. Her curfew is worse than that of Cindrella herself. So, bo bian, must quickly go home!
And before I forget, my belated Birthday pressie(s) from Tri...
Crabtree & Evelyn's Rose water hand therapy.and from the all time lunch time kaki...
Thank you Ladies!!! =)
It's the lunch time kaki's birthday month and on top of that, there were some promotions and freebies, she spent a bomb in Fancl and got 2 sets of freebies which she gave me a set...
Mini Cleansing Oil and Limited Edition face blotters. I LOVE the colour of the packaging can! Fancl should change to this color packaging la. The current one is Blue lor! Not nice la, though it matches their theme of "Freshness" lor. I LOVE, LOVE LOVE this pink one! =)The office roomie came back from Europe from a business trip recently and got me these...
Chocolates and a keychain. I also want that kind of hourglass figure as in the keychain lei. But so much chocolates and food, how to ar? =(

Creative Story!
I've been getting the mailer from Benefit Cosmetics for sometime now and this is one of those that really caught my attention.
The cargofull of Benetint spilled into the sea! Oh dear... then how? then how?!
Read on....
Of course I know the story is not real. But still, it's quite cute and creative the way they do it.
Must say I quite like their advertorials at times.
Heng ar, this time, I have NOTHING to buy. Else spend moolah again only!
