Finally had the chance to meet up with Amelia, a girl I know from Multiply.
She's so friendly and nice to chat with! I love her pretty eyes and her good skin!!
It was our first time meeting up with each other and I was a little surprise that we had so much to share with each other! Sometimes, it can get a little awkward meeting up for the first time and with her, NO such issue at all! =D
We had dinner at Pizza Hut... oh. PH now has set menus and for a soup of the day, a main and a soft drink it's at $6.90! Worth lei!
Anyway, here's us after dinner at PH.I feel kind of fat next to her. My face's sooo round!
She also passed me my NYX loots. Sweet lady she wanted to gift these to me as my belated Bday present. But I decline. Pai sey la. Some more over so long already but I'm touched that she remembered and its her thoughts that counts. Plus she have to travel all the way down to Bishan to meet me, and it's about a 45 minutes journey home for her lei! All these little gestures are more than enough for me already. =)
Thank you, Sweetie!
We walked around a little sharing and discussing cosmetics and others. Finally, we ended up at MOS for a drink and we chatted till after 11pm! I can't believe we have so much to talk about lei! But it was fun lor. Just meeting up with a girl friend and yak non stop.
I came home and found this on the kitchen table top. Complete with a note that says, "Dear Sharon & Jerome, I happened to make Korean flour rice cake. Saved some for you to try. TQ Nichole."
And so, we had Korean flour rice cake for supper. NICE! I like! It's a little chewy and spicy and just a little sour so it's tingly and the bite is unique. Next time ask Nic to make more? hee..hee..
I say, what a wonderful way to usher in the weekends!
And tml, Hubby's bringing me to Ikea for the meatballs and chicken wings and then in the evening, we have our annual Exodus (Catacheism Class) dinner! Long time, since we last met up with our other brothers and sisters in Christ.
Sounds like a superb weekend in the making!

Pretty in Pink!
I recently got my Omnia and have been searching for a casing. Those I found in the stalls are all either black (so man!) or too expensive at like $20 or $25!
Hubby finally found 1 for me through ebay!
I'm happy. It's so pretty and best of all, CHEAP!
My Omnia housed prettily in the casing!

Itchy eyes at work
The packaging is just so pretty can! So tempted to buy lor especially when the fragrance smells so nice. But I did stop myself. I did not buy.... Think texting the hubby asking for his opinions helps. He merely replied with "If can don't buy then don't buy lor, still over $100 lei. Worth?"
$144 for the largest bottle before any discounts etc etc. And they are giving away the body too! Body cream, minatures and I forget what else packed in their signature pinks in a very nice box!
Honestly, if not for the fact that my current fragrance still has more than 3/4 full, I would have bought it there and then!So tempted to buy lor especially when the fragrance smells so nice. They are giving away a $20 voucher which can offset the item immediately and also 10% for the Taka cardholders!
I'm still thinking about it... give me another few more days... if I still cannot get it out of my head, I'm going to troop down to Taka when I next have a spare moment and buy this baby off the shelf!
And I cannot get the NYX blushes out of my head too! =/ I've already placed orders for 4 lippies which are being shipped over as I type... and I'm thinking of buying some blushes!
Which I've already picked out 4!!! My gosh. I'm so weak willed when it comes to spending money and cosmetics. =(
But blushes lasts forever, I shall not buy 4. The most I shall get is 2, one to replace the Benefits Dandelion which I've got to dig the edges of the pan to get any colors onto my cheeks, I think the closest to Dandelion is the Powder Blush in Angel. Another blush, well.... just coz I'm being vain and want 1 more blush to add to my collection.
No eyeshadows. Because, I'm very happy with my 2 eye palettes from Majolica Majorca (MM) and Benefits. Also, coz I've asked my friend to buy me another 2 from MM when she goes HK tomorrow. Cheaper there ma... and since she is going, might as well!
From the looks of it, it looks like I am giving my make up an overhaul once again. =(

Plastic thingy.
I bought these at Daiso sometime back.... Know what it is?
This is what it creates. The egg ON the bread. Not the bread. And yes... breakfast for today. Half an egg on ham and cheese sandwich. Tomorrow would be eggs and green apple sandwich.
Yup. Egg shape-er of sorts. I've tried it last week and my egg was too soft. This time, my egg was too small so the shape does not come out nicely. Plus the yolk break. I think another way would be for me to coat my knife with a little water or butter so that it can slice thru the yolk nicely.
My conclusion would be, get a BIG egg for this shape-er thing to form the shape well.

Who wants Benefits?
I need the Dandelion Powder Blusher from Benefit Cosmetics.
Yet, I don't want to join sprees... Their fixed exchange rate is 1 USD = 1.58 SGD and on top of that, 50 cents for handling fees.
Who needs / wants to order from Benefits??? I can collate orders... Bank exchange rate is around 1.56 SGD, I can save on postage and handling fees as well.
Which will amount to a grand total savings of around $1.50?
whahahahahahah....
I guess, if I am desperate enough, I will go for the spree too lor.
But if I can save, of course I will want to!

Cannot not shop.
After facial on Friday at Kose. I changed my membership card to the new electronic flimsy thing... and along with the card, I went home with these...Actually, all I bought was the Black Mask and also the Spot Serum. The lady there gave me the green plastic basket bag, the candle for being one of the first thousand to change my membership card and also a piece of lotion mask.
So, I had to drag all these with me to dinner with Clement and family.
Damage: $68 after a $5 voucher.

Orders for Lippies.
I finally placed some orders for lippies!
I've been making mental notes to myself to get myself some lippies. Erm.. before anyone starts screaming at me saying "But you have so much cosmetics! Why get some mre!!!!"
I must defend myself by saying, I only, ONLY have 1 lip gloss, 1 rouge from MM and a clear lip balm/gloss from Benefits.
So, with such a pathetic number of lippy to my name, I AM entitled to buy some more. And so I have.
Ordered 4 thru another friend.
NYX Lippies.
I hope the shades will turn out well on me. Total for all 4 is only USD $6.75 (not inclusive of shipping yet). Cheap la. If don't like then throw away or give away lor. No harm.
Sigh... Lippies and blusher are 2 things that I can never get the shade right. =/

Last class of Finance 301
was on 24 Feb and my tutor suggested taking a class photo together...
He was talking to me halfway about our individual assignment when he made that suggestion and I was a little shocked. But I just "Oh! ok." but I was silently thinking, he must be joking.
And at the end of the class at about 9.30pm, he told the class the same thing.
"Shall we all take a class photo?" and continued with "I brought my camera." which he promptly proceed to wipe it out of his bag.
I'm not sure about the rest of my classmates. But I was a little shocked yet at the same time, do think that he is rather sweet. In all my semesters, 4, not including this current semester, none of the tutor said anything like this. He was the first.
Of course, this class photo thing is not compulsory and some left. But I think majority are still inside.
Presenting the class of Finance301, Tutorial Group 03 (with some classmates from another class because my tutor was way better than theirs!)Of course the person right in the middle is the tutor la. Who else will have the honors of standing right in the front middle of the entire photo right?!
Hmmm.... on close inspection, he's not standing in the middle middle. Anyway, the gentleman in Grey long sleeves is the tutor lor. Dr Maurice Tan. Nice, friendly tutor. Very gentle in his way of teaching and explaining to the class as well.

Queen Helene 100% Pure Cocoa Butter Stick
I TOTALLY SWEAR by this wonderful gorgeous tube of product!
Back in 2005, October, I was down with Chicken pox and I had huge scar on my right face (near to the ear) but coverable by my sideburn, if I keep it long enough. The scar was those angry red popping UP kind, which on hindset reminds me a little of a blister. Except that it's red and it's skin! Not the kind that poke poke, the water comes out and the blister gone.
This scar came about caused I accidentally tore the scab off when I was changing! I was so depressed with the scar... to mention in pain!
I need some help with this scar. I was reading online and someone recommended this product.
Queen Helene 100% Pure Cocoa Butter Stick.
I gave it a try since it's almost dirt cheap.
NEVER looked back since. That huge scar slowly but surely subsided. Now, it's still visible but not angry red nor popping up. It's hardly visible now! But then again, that's because, I've been diligently using it day and night, every single time I wash my face, I apply.
I recently tried it on my pimple scars on my forehead... and hey!! Like magic you know!! Less than a week and the scars have all lightened considerably!
Granted, I used it on the scars when they are "new" so results are almost instant, like magic.
But I paid less than SGD$3 for this wonderful, gorgeous tube of goodness and till now (been using for like 3 years plus), I still have almost 1/2 a tube left!
Super duper worth it lor, I say.
So, if you have scars or something, go grab this tube of goodness! Don't wait anymore!!

爱心 breakfast!
All this while, when I have the mood, I will prepare breakfast. Nothing fancy, it's packed and go kind of breakfast.
Ham or egg sandwiches is the most common. Fast and easy to prepare with not much work to be done.
Also, since my mom works in a bakery, we are used to getting discounted bread or sometimes even free bread! Hence, it's never really my culture to do much breakfast thing.
But recently, a friend was showing me nice bento boxes meals that a mother painstakingly do for her children daily and since I have no children, I don't have to do it. But oh well.. the package looks so pretty, I can't resist doing something simple for hubby for breakfast too!
This morning, since I am on leave (I'm going to SGH with my mom later), I decided to make an egg mayo with green apple sandwich for hubby.
Egg mayo is simple enough...
3 hard boiled eggs (removed yolk for 1 egg), sliced
Japanese mayo
Pepper to taste
3/4 chopped green apple (I used to not add this, but a friend recommended and HEY! it really tastes good lei. So I'm adding it in from now.)
mix everything and then spread on lightly buttered bread
And then I packed it for hubby for him to bring to work. Ugly packaging. Yes. Coz I don't want to put in a box and then still got to wash at the end of the day.
I hope when he opened it, he'll get a nice surprise! Tada!! 爱心面包!! =) Like kid's craft la... whahhahahahhaha
Simple enough, just use a cookie cutter and punch out the shapes and arrange on the bread. Those I've seen online are much more fanciful. I lack the tools and patience. So this is it.
Last week, I had ham. So I could cut out same shapes in different colors to give more dimension to the sandwich. But cannot be eating ham daily, too much sodium. So, today's very blend.
I only do this when I have time to kill. Else. NO WAY. Too much work!

Pretty Sakura Tea
I've tried my first sachet of the Sakura Tea that I bought yesterday.
It smells like "plum" when I tore the little golden sachet open and the flowers are all damp and moist, sticking to the sides of the sachet - which honestly does look a little unappetizing and unappealing at first.
I managed to push all the flowers down into the pot of water and WAH!!! So pretty on contact with water!
The flowers literally bloom! Let it infuse for a minute or two and it's ready.
I think I added too much water. Will use less the next time.
The first sip tasted salty to me, a little like light soya sauce. But once the tea goes down, a natural sweet aftertaste comes up and fills the whole palate.
Though I used a little too much water, I can still taste the sweetness but it's not strong. So I guess, if I used less water, the taste would be stronger and sweeter!
I love the way the flowers bloom in the water! So pretty!
I think I want to go get some more flower tea. It's too pretty to not drink! I think by looking at it, I will get happier and it's also a form of therapy?
Retail + Colors + Aromatherapy all in one?!

Finally!
Finally, another post after almost missing for a month!
Finally, I've completed and submitted the Finance individual assignment. (All thanks to Hubby for helping me along with the report, the recording, making of the movie and even submission!)
Finally, I've also done some shopping! Though I did not buy lots, the Friday afternoon with Cindy was really enjoyable. It was such a good break away from office, away from assignment and away from the endless endless list of things to be done! We had a simple but expensive lunch and we just chat and walk and it was so relaxing!
I got a big glass of mud for my face. Borghese Active Mud. Around $84 after 20% discount. Worth every single penny if it's good.
I also finally finally changed my bloody Nokia today (Sunday)! Which happened to be 3-8 Women's Day! Let this be my own present to myself to celebrate my own femininity.
From this
to this!
Samsung Omnia, 8GB!
But now, I think I bought myself too good a phone lei! I realized, I really have user problems... I find it so hard to use! Of course, Hubby kept laughing at me! My goodness... and alot of the functions that are in the phone really really looks beyond my capabilities!
Hubby was supposed to meet up with his friend to do his project. So happened that my sis called me to ask me if I have any plans. And since Hubby is busy, I went ahead to meet my sis. Then hubby called and said, they are only meeting up in the evening, not afternoon. Heh! But he said afternoon yesterday. Anyway, I had lunch with hubby and then I meet up with my sis for some shopping.
Actually, there was nothing in particular that I wanted to get. I was out with Cindy and did not get anything, so I do not expect to get anything with my sis.
But boy, was I wrong! Not only did I managed to get things, I managed to score for myself quite a few things too!
I finally bought more shopping today (not inclusive of the Omnia)! I bought a green teapot. Perfect for making a cuppa of tea.
What good is a teapot without fine tea right?! So I got myself some atas tea from Isetan. I wanted to get flower tea of some sort (I saw it in Raffles City before but can't find any at Isetan nor Tangs), so I got this. Sweet Sakura Tea. I think the tea is really the sakura flower! Can't be sure till I try my frist sachet.
The packaging is so pretty too!
Life after submitting a piece of assignment is damn good! There's mood to shop and relax and finally, can buy some things! Else, even when shop also feel so damn stress and cannot get anything at all. So depressing!
Another happy thing, I'm going to have dinner and meet up with my darling Goddaughter this coming Friday! Then the other happy thing is also, 3 other ladies and I are also meeting up for dinner. This dinner is a little further away, but hey! I still have a life besides studying and working, so I'm happy!
Happy Women's Day, my dear sisters and girl friends!!! We ALL deserve it!!!

Friday the 13th!
I've never really believe in the Friday, the Thirteenth thingy... but well, today I change my mind a little.
The day started out ok, I thought.. but got progressively worse lor....
Had made plans to go out for lunch with my kaki, but she was on MC.. so I was fretting over what to eat for lunch. Before I've made up my mind, Jeff called and asked me out for lunch. Since I had no plans. Sure!
We went to the cafe in Cheng San CC for lunch. Not bad. Fish and Chips for $4.50, but portion's a little small. But still not too bad.
Drop by CTK for some quiet moments in adoration room.
I had facial in the evening so I went to J8. The treatment was ok. Relaxing and comfortable.
But in the end, I LOST 1 side of my contact lens! Damn it.
And it's a monthly lens which I've used less than the month itself lor!
Arghh!!
I never really believe in Friday, the Thirteenth... But today, sort of made me change my mind a little.
Not that my kaki can't go lunch, but more like she had to fall sick. Then I lost my lens!
The good thing is, it's monthly lens, so I still have other pairs at home la. Just feeling the pinch a little coz did not fully utlise the full 30 days for the "useable" period.
I think. I should SERIOUSLY consider Lasik.

Blogging in class
Totally bored out by the tutor, all things English but it's so boring and so much theory that I am falling asleep. Very soon. In fact.
So, I'm blogging in class.
And while I am day dreaming away the time, I am also dreaming and pinning for
1) KFC chicken
2) McDees McChicken
3) Lasik
I don't know why, but I am, sooo pinning for chicken for the last 2 days. Started since Mondy when Jeff brought GOdma and I out for lunch and I saw this KFC van passed me by and I've been craving for it every since.
Did not help that yesterday during break, my classmate was munching on a McDees McChicken burger in front of me while I chew on a normal hot-dog bun.
Maybe, tml, after work, Hub and I can got for chicken dinner!

And so the saga continues....
No end to the saga.
It's still happening, still bothering me, still a torn in the flesh, still a pain in the ass, still as irritating... but the strange thing is, I wasn't as angry and pissed off as I thought I will be.
Maybe... It's the Chinese New Year holidays and a week long of leave to make me feel much better.
I shall let it wash over me, like water down a duck's back and hope for a change. (Though I jolly well know that there will be NO end to the saga(s) caused by the blessed OBIL.)
Anyway, to cut the whole story short, his damn credit card bills are still being sent to my place. I've finally taken a look at this statement. $6K plus to pay off. Not sure if there's other bills. I'm only seeing this for the moment.
Come to think of it, the rest of the other banks seem to have ceased. Either that or hubby is doing a much much better job in hiding and keeping those bills and letters away from my eyes.
Well, new year resolution, NOT to be too bothered by this idiot. Pray lots more that he will stop bothering us.
One can hope right?

Another Addiction.
Bad. Bad. Bad!!
Glued to the screen again for another long drawn out canto drama.
This time, it's The Gem Of Life, 珠光寶氣.
I've been rushing home just to watch this and I've been neglecting my school things! =(
It's currently the latest craze in Hong Kong and even online, the vids are still being loaded, and the episodes are already over 50 but still counting!
I heard that it runs into 80 episodes... I don't know how I'm going to feed this craze as well as to still study.
I guess, I will just chiong this drama during the CNY week (I'm on leave the whole week!) to finish as much as I can and then settle down to hit the books once again. =P
Watching and completing this show is now my FIRST priority!

Surprises! (late entry)
Hubby passed me an A4 white envelope with a look that clearly says "Online shopping again!" and when I saw the envelope, immediately I racked my brains for any online purchase that I've joined and the item is being delivered... I can't think of any and me in my defense, blurted out "No! I did not buy anything. Honestly! I didn't!"
It's flat and long. Ripping the packaged opened, I saw a pink sort of board...
A pink cutting mat!!! with a short note on it.
aw.... so sweet of you, Cindy! Thanks so much!!!
Best of all, it arrived with the Friday post (last last Friday). I was so pleased to have received it after 2 hard days of the mad house!
Thanks again, princess!
Some days later, hubby and I were having dinner at AMK Hub. Was walking around after dinner and was discussing on what should we be getting for the parents for this coming CNY. It happened that we passed by a counter set up by The Singapore Mint. Hubby then suddenly became very engrossed by some of the products being sold.
After much deliberation, we walked away with...2 gold platted and decorated with swarovski crystals Ong Lai (Pineapples). 1 for each set of the parents. Heng, not very expensisve. =)
It's quite cute and pretty. Even has a bee on top of the pineapple.
Huat ah!!!

Sem 5
2nd last semester.
Thank God. Just a couple of more months and I am free!
Lessons are on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Will be taking a total of 3 modules. Namely,
1) FIN 301: Financial Institutions, Instruments & Markets
2) FIN 303: Financial Management and
3) ASZ220: Professional English Writing
I'm just glad that it's almost drawing to an end.
Collected my notes on Tuesday. Just managed to download the course calendar, course timetable and other things.
This sem, my venue for classes are good! ALL at HQ, SIM building itself, need not go all the way to NP, the blessed block 50 or something. Very happy about the classes venue.
The only down side that I have is, because of CNY, so I have 2 make up class. But then again, both classes are on the same Saturday. So at least, I only burn 1 Saturday instead of 2. The only thing is, the 2 classes are back-to-back. Starts at 4pm to 7pm and then 7pm all the way to 9.30pm! Which means no time for dinner already... the good thing is the classes are within the same block, so even if I'm late, I will not be terribly late.
So all in all. I think this semester's venue is very good for me!
I've been having shitty venues for the past few semesters already, thank God this has finally changed!
