Title says it all, ain't it??
This time, my spurge, (well, not really a spurge!) is from the spree. (again!)
"Charming Cat Mascra"
Some Reviews
1. "查家 (the one we're spree-ing for) 这边的特点是比较浓密,拉长效果一般。
For those who don't understand Chinese, the reviews are by people who are very satisfied with this mascara. Said the mascara does indeed help to lengthen and thicken the eyelashes, and at the same time, not clumping the eyelashes. Every eyelash is clearly defined. Also, this mascara is easily washed off with just normal make-up remover + water. Although its easily washable, you won't have panda eyes unless you wash your face or really cry buckets of tears. =P
Sounds so good right? So, of course must try! Some more so cheap. Only $3! CHEAP!
And I got this too.
"Palgantong Make-up Theatrical Powder"
What you see is what you get. From the item, I mean. Of course, colour wise, may have slight difference...hey! It's a risk I'm willing to take!
Description: Theatrical powder from Korea is made up of Ceramin ingredient from the UK. The size of particles is just half of the other particles. It reflects more light from your skin to even the tone with natural appearance. Thin and comfortable, brightens your skin just like a Movie Star. Hence, it is also called “Star Powder” in Japan and Korea. Over these 10 years, this powder is commonly used in Korean Movies, TV programmes and dramas. Over 5,000,000 powders were sold in Japan, as No.1 loose powder in Japan.
Anyway, don't get the idea that I'm overspending ok, my loose powder is running low and out and it already costs me easily over $20 to get it from Body Shop. If this one works and IF it works on me, I can be saving so much more on cosmestics!!
Tell me, where on earth can find loose powder at slightly just over $5?! Somemore, highly recommended, "Best Selling" product in Korea and Japan?
And the best of the best, these 2 items add up, inclusive of shipping AND postage, it's still a dollar short of $10!!!
1 word.
C-H-E-A-P!!!

I'm still buying.
Think I'm really be in trouble soon looking at the way I spend. Spend. SPEND! I probably should enroll myself into so 'implusive buying club in an attempt to stop myself from buying any more. =(
And my latest buy is this wonderful crytstal eyelash gadget that guaratees you to have longer, thicker eyelashes IMMEDIATELY.
Sort of like a template for the eyelashes. I've no problems with the upper eyelash, but it's those undereye lashes that's proving to be a challenge. Hope this little thing can safe me, or rather my eyelashes.I've also placed reservation for this.
Face Rollers.Guaranteed to give me a
I actually
Anyway, it's just a reservation. Not even sure, if there's stock. So, wait and see ba.
I actually wanted to get this also!
Eye Glitters! But the colour I wanted is already sold out. So, no choice lor. Cannot buy. But, I guess, it's also good, save money lor.
Before, you start screaming "buy so many things, waste $$$!" Let me say this, all the above costs just slightly over $2! Eye glitters is slightly over $3. Now, tell me, where can I find a store locally that still offers me change from a $10 note (which I probably go for 2 or even 3 Mac Ice Cream Cones!), having buying 1 of each item for myself IN stores?
Cannot find right?
SO! By doing my shopping online and thru sprees, I'm actually saving precious Vitamin M okie! =D

erm... not bad lei.
Hubby went to met his MM friends for don't know what discussion and I din feel like eating outside food.
So in 30 mins, I came up with dinner for myself!
Quite proud of myself lei! haha.. coz there was almost nothing at home for me to experiment with.
So I just boil some pasta, throw in some sliced mushrooms. Topped it off with basil leaves and bacon bits, too lazy to even steam the chicken wings, just wrapped it in foil and throw into the oven for 20 mins. Went to bathe and VOILA!
A pity that there was no veggies at home. Else it would have been a rather balanced and healthy meal! I was afraid to stain the table, so being the lazy me, just shifted the existing reading materials to form the base. hahaha... really is very super duper lazy.
But ok la, how wrong can I go with the above anyway?

I'm the Best.
As usual, he will give out "kit kat" awards to those who done well, improve most, most quotable quote, best written etc etc... Usually, there'll be a whole lot of kit kats being handed out.
I stared at the board and was rather sad to not see my name but Mer's name was there. Good for him! He got the most consistent and improvement kit kat.
But since today was the LAST class of the module, the tutor have a special award for the best student.
Well, quote and unquote him "The best student may not have the best results but is overal participation and for this, I have the "Cookie Award".
I was one of those who laughed out loud.
Imagine my suprise when I saw my name on that board?!
So yes, I'm the proud owner of the "Cookie Award" Jan 07, 151, Media. =)
My COOKIES from the "Cookie Award"
Which I shared with my classmates during the break, w/o them I cannot be the 'best' right? And it was fun sharing food.
I would like to thank my parents, my hubby for giving me the support and blessings. Of course not forgetting, Sattish, the tutor who kindly gave me the award....

Which looks like this
before I bite into it... A long dark stick which screams "bite me!" "BITE ME NOW!!!"
Which looks like thiswhen I bite into it. INNER and OUTER coats of chocolates! Shiok tilll..... wah lau... Cannot describe the feeling mannz.
And I still have another 2 half eaten boxes of Meiji chocolates lying somewhere around in the house waiting for me to slowly savour it!
No wonder, every single time, my mom sees me, she insists that I AM pregnant when I'm 100% sure that I am not. =/
It's the after effects of too much chocolately goodness.

a June wedding
Remember I was saying that I'm very happy with an upcoming wedding in June?
Well, we got the wedding invite recently. Nice right? Blame my photography skills for not giving the card it's full glory.
And I'm soooo happy for the couple!!!
I really like the card, I find it very pretty and unique, like a window opening up to reveal the details. So pretty and like there's surprises waiting within to be discovered!
I'm happy for her that she has gotton over that OBIL of mine and is ready to embrace her new life.
Will take lots of photos with her to show how pretty she is during the wedding!

The people these days...
...are really ironic.
I went for my facial earlier and while waiting for the bus home, this car stopped at the bus stop to let his passenger off. There's nothing wrong with that of course!
The only thing is, there were lots of traffic and the female passenger took her own sweet time in getting off the car! Blocked the traffic. Bleh! Then this is the inconvenient and frausting part.
This same lady then got onto the same bus as me. Good for her, she manage to get a seat and was happily enjoying her MP3 music, while I happily watched the repeat telecast on Mobile TV.
What happened next is darn darn irriating and so darn ironic!!!
She started talking on her HP and was speaking so loudly that the whole bus can hear her!!!
I stared at her and also shook my head. She saw it and guess what? She reported back to her friend on the other line saying...
"wah lau, there's this idiot who stared at me and then shook her head....how I know ar? Could be because I was talking abit too loudly.... what the hell... this is a public space, I can speak what I want and talk as loudly as I want...."
Hahahaha... I know she's referring to me, of course, coz I was the only person who stared at her. But I find it so ironic and so laughable!
She knows she's talking too loudly and this IS a public space and she carries on. hahahahaha...
The people on the bus can do the judgement on their own.
I rest my case.

Lame, DAMN LAME
Are you aware that "Seiyu" has now closed down and taken over by some I-don't-know-what-company?
And the company has renamed "Seiyu" into "BHG"??
And do you know what "BHG" stands for? I bet you don't.
It stands for "Be Here for Good things"
L-A-M-E!
SUPER Duper LAME.
I read from an article, that the Japanese sold Seiyu to Captial land and they in turn sold to some China company.... which later renamed it to this damn lame, obiang and don't make sense name.
Seiyu sounds just fine... now it sounds soooo cheapo!

Long weekend
Tml is a PH (May Day) and I decided to take 1 day off to enjoy my long weekend as well as to rush out my last media assignment for this semester. Haven't really been scoring well for those 2 previous TMAs. Really hope that this one can do a bit better. But then again, this last TMA is so tough... I just try my best.
Just as my stomach was rumbling in protest for not having put in any food. Godma suggests having lunch together since I'm at home. She and bro can come over to my plc where we can enjoy lunch in the comfort of my home. Catch is, I have to go and tapow for all of them. =(
Anyway, I did lor. So at about 12 noon, the 2 of them began to tropped over and we enjoy a good tapowed lunch. As usual la, sure chat and yakked till the lunch time is fully over before they head back to office to work and I got back to my TMA.
I already had the first draft ready, just needed to add in abit more here and there and I'm ready to hand it in! Don't want to look at it anymore. Darn sian lor.
Finally handed it in and I went to take a break. Nuah in front of the TV and eat ice-cream... and after tat went to zzzz.
Must wake up by 5 later coz Hubby brining me out for dinner... and there goes my leave.... like that *poof* 1 day gone!

I tried my best. I DID!
So being the very good student that I am, I decided to be neat about it and use some freeware to do it.
This is my First attempt.
Looks kiddish, don't you think so? =/But then, practise will make all things better, so I tried again (with a different software coz that freeware expired!) and came up with this for my Second assignment.
Better already right? =)But my tutor wrote a comment and say that I should try to hand draw him something for the last assignment and also for practise.... Well, since the tutor put it this way... I don't really have a choice do I? (If you say, I do, then next time when your wife, tutor, boss tell you something, you do the opposite lor) So, I tried very hard, hubby also try abit... telling me, here, there, here here, there there, which don't make much sense to me... but well. Try I did and ta da....
OK. Laugh ALL you want. I can't draw. You know why I drew an elephant backside? Coz, elephants are supposed to have long term memory, which is what the question was asking lor.The joke of the day is, I got an email from the tutor

DIY Beauty
and I saw something called EPI Stick all the way from Japan! Which is like sold at $19 in shops!!! But, this one that I saw is being sold at only $2.20, shipped. CHEAP right!!! Also, the reviews were so good...
remove tiny, thin facial hair, leaving the face, fairer, less cloged pores and of course smoother. With all these advantages, OF COURSE I have to get one and try!Shared the info with Irene and she's keen to try too! So, without waiting any longer, I immediately went ahead and ordered ourselves a stick each.
Immediately went to try it!
Initally, quite an "ouchy" feeling when those hairs get pulled out. But after a while, it feels rather shiok lei. hahaha.. Too early to tell if my face got like this right?

Surprise!
I came home after the blessed Astronomy thing and thank God, EVERYTHING went well.
Well, there were a few minor things that affected the whole thing but then again, the chairman and the dy dir said "Well Done" to me at the end of the event, so it can't have gone too badly! =) Finally, this is over and again, it will be another year till I see it again. So, yes, I've conducted yet another round of successful Astronomy Competition!
Darn happy to call it a day and I missed the refresehment just so that poor hubby don't have to wait too long for me for dinner.
Nothing much, but just normal food at the coffee shop. I thought I will screw up the event when those set back happen but I was able to use my role as "Emcee" to demand my rights out of it! hahahaha... anyway.. came home to find these on the table...
Seaweed crackers!!! Yay!!!! I like! =) I've always been a fan of seaweed, recently addicted to the "Tao Kae Noi" seaweed, but I like these as well too. The difference is that this comes with the seaweed on top of cracker while TKN is just the seaweed itself.
Sweet hubby bought these for me knowing that I like it. =) I'm so happy when I saw it! hahahaha... yups, I'm a easily contented female.
All it took was 2 packs of seaweed and I'm like over the moon... hahahahaha....=)

Time for Revealing...
Finally, got my hands on my beloved T100 and to show what Irene and I got from our lunch trip...
Ta dah!!!Some more heels.. heehee...I'm really falling in love with this AMK Hub... I'm sure pretty soon, I will be a member of more stores located there.
Anyway, the main point was, Irene and I like the blue wedges so much, we each got a pair. I love it! So nice! =) I got a pair of black pumps too, for going to work in. It's so low and comfy. Great for all those walking when my students decide to pay us a visit.
Talking about visits, I have like 2 or 3 planned out next month. Thank God, we manage to push 1 away though... for some Sec 5NA students from a religious group.... thank God, my boss and sup agrees that we should entertain those that come from the local Sec schools instead of some religious and privately own company!
Had the Astronomy Competition rehearsal earlier on... and I do do do pray and hope that all will go well, the rules of the quiz seem so complicated! Hope, I don't screw up the whole event especially when so many big shots will be there!
Rehearsal was supposed to start at 5.30pm, but when I reached there, NO ONE was ready for it. Hai... so I had to wait around and just sit on my ass. It din start till close to 6.15pm!!! Argh!!! By the time, they were happy with what I've said or done, it's already 8.40pm... hai... And finally at 15 mins to 9, I made my way home....
So so soooooo tired!!! And still have to read thru the scripts and all again before I sleep later! Cannot be helped since the event is tomorrow! =/

Lunch under the Sea
Had a "under the sea lunch" earlier. =) Does it look familiar?

Yups! Fish & Co the the new AMK Hub.
Between the 3 of us, we had a main course each of either Peri Catch or New York Fish & Chips. Not to mention the soup of the day, Clam Chowder. And we shared a salad and Grilled Calarmi.
I've never been a fan of clam chowder...for whateve reasons unknown to myself, but I tried it today.
The Clam chowder is really really good! Thick with lots of goodness in it. Not the usual cambells thin soup. This has carrots, potatoes and you can really taste bits of clams in it! Yummy! Not to mention, served in a dainty cup.. abit small but hey! NICE!!!
A garden salad that came at $5 with any main course. Which we ordered one and share. Not bad. I like the dressing. =)
New York Fish and Chips with cheese. What can I say? NICE! And the serving is soo huge. Struggled just to put most of it into me.
My all time favourite, Calarmi. Noticed the handle? hahaha... sooo obvious, this Fish & Co. *Tsk*Tsk*
Too full to even try this Peri Catch! But from the looks of it, it's darn appetising!
Enjoyable lunch. Made payment by Citibank card, so in the end, we got a voucher for free starters the next time we go to any Fish & Co. Not bad.
The service is rather good too I must say. The staff are polite and nice. Will go back agian if I'm in the mood for fish.
Irene and I walked around abit and we each got something... shall keep you all in suspense till I manage to get my hands on my camera... =P

Wedding Bells a-ringing
I think I've never been so happy in attending a wedding before in my entire life! Of course, minus my own. But that cannot be counted coz I cannot be "attending" my own wedding. I was the bride, the other shinning star of the whole event during my own wedding right?
Anyway... When I say I've never been so happy in attending a wedding, needless to say, it is not my own wedding lar.
We just got invited to a wedding banquet on 1 June 07. Venue, I'm not sure yet... just wait for the invite card to reach our house and then we will know.
And whose wedding is it that made me so happy? =D
OBIL's ex GF!!!! hahahahaha... Yay! Hoorary!!! Thank you Lord for blessing her with another better man than OBIL! Thank you for looking after her and that she has a more worthy man than OBIL!
That's the reason why, I think this is the happiest wedding banquet that I've ever been invited to! =D
Congratulation my Dear! Wishing you marital bliss always!

What is mine is back.
After a whole week of using some old HP of my sister, finally my beloved V3i is back into my arms.. erm... fingers, more like.
First thing?! Check and make sure that it starts up without that silly error.
Next, load in all my contacts from SIM card into the phone memory.
Thirdly, begin SMS-ing away!
=) (=
What can I say? It's good to have your own HP back!!!
Grateful to Sis for loaning me her old hp while I was in dire needs. But, nothing beats having your own hp lar.
But hor... now that the silly error is gone. I think there is another issue.... not sure if it's my eye.. but somehow, the screen seems to be flickering to me!
I should go and seek a second opinion to check on the screen, else it's time to visit my optometrits to check my eyes.
And oh yes... what's the cause of the error?
According to the doctor, it's acutally a VERY rare software error. Doctor is also not sure what is the cause of it. =S
Medication: Reload software. BUT! The catch is, the SG version of the software has expired and hence my V3i is now loaded with the Malaysian version. Erm... All things work well except when I use GPRS. =/ Which may result in software error again....
So, once it's sick, it will always be sick lor.... hai.. what to do? Just don't use GPRS lor.. which in the first place, I don't lar. So should be fine.
As long as it's not the screen giving me problems, I will use this till Dec this year. =)

Finally, just 1 more.
Just handed in another TMA. Which brings me to the final and I guess the tougest TMA among all that I have been doing for the past erm... 2,3 months.
Actually, time passes very fast. Without realising, I'm almost at the end of my current semsester, just another 3 more lessons and then I will have to start preparing for my exams. Very lucky for me, this sem I only have 1 paper.
But I thought SIM also kiasu lei. So fast, making us choose our next semester timetable and modules that we wanna take. Haven't even sit for exams so fast choose. What if really touch wood... fail how?
But, no choice la. Have to choose means have to choose. I've more or less already made up my mind... definately taking the 2nd half of Contract Law as well as Stats. This will take up a total of 10 credits.
Now, my question and dilema is should I take on another 10 Credit course? Or should I just take 10 CU for next sem? One sem can take up to 20 CU, should I max it or should I relax and take it slowly. Looking at the timetable, if I were to take another paper, I will be taking 3 exam papers at the end of the sem.
I'm worried that it will be too much for me to handle. But if I don't take the full 20 CU, then it will take me 3 full years to complete instead of the 2.5 years.
=/ Deilema now.
How ar?? I was also thinking, if I'm only taking 10 CU, then I will wanna clear the Ucore as well. 2 bo liao modules that must be cleared.. Since I'm taking 10 CU, a rather relax sem, then I might as well clear those 2.
Really cannot make up my mind. =/

Happy or Tears?
Got an email from my Stats Tutor with the following message.
"I was unable to talk to you more frequently in the last few days as we were busy finalising your BUS105 results. The results should be delivered to you soon. Watch out!"
So, which means, our results will be out soon. So means very soon, I will know if I have done well enough for Stats, pass or fail for Law. =S I've no doubts that Stats will pass. But the Law???

Cannot SMS
I sent my V3i to the hospital yesterday. Because this is what I get when I off it and try to on it.
I hope Nurse Emma can heal it back to health soon... and according to Missy Emma, she said, should be able to resolve by downloading the software again...
So, for the time being, I am using an old Panasonic HP that belongs to my sis. I'm still not sure how to SMS with this ancient dainty looking creature.... the keys are all different!
So, be warned! I won't be answering SMS much these days. If you need to find me, call me. Else, sms Jer, he should pass me the message when I see him at night...
But, hello, if you are my admirer, secret or otherwise, be smart enough to NOT sms my hubby la! hahahahahahaha

What can I do for you?
Hai.... somtimes, I just hate to read Tri's blog. =(
Reading her sadness, her helplessness, her misery, her endless arguments with that useless bf of hers and also her problems at work. I feel like slapping him. Feel like giving her a good shake (plus maybe a good slap!) to wake her up!
She knows that he is NOT the kind of man that will turn out to be a good husband for her, a good father to her children, a good companion and at the moment, not even a good BF! And yet, she is sticking on with him. Not course, she is deeply in love with him, just course, she is waiting for the right person to come along before she makes the final decision.
Tri. I really really wish and pray that you will take the matter into your hands. Either he change or u make a clean break. Don't drag!
So what if the "right" man comes along? What can you do, if he comes? You still have this bf to contend with. Might as well make a clean break and then carry on with the search of your happiness!
You have given him and yourself enough chances! Stop it. You cannot even be HONEST with him. Cannot hold a decent conversation without ending in arguements. How can you even be able to imagine life with him?!?! Not to mention, it's for the rest of your life?!
I know, it's not easy to make a clean break. After all the time and years that you both have spent together, of course it is NOT easy. But, it is better to make this heart wrenching decision rather than to drag on and is made worse when there are children.
I know it's easy for me to say... coz I'm not in your situation. But, my dear dear friend. Remember what prompt you to make the decision to ditch G? Where has that determined girl I used to know gone? Where is she hidding? It's time you let her out...
N as for the useless BF, (if you are reading) you know who on earth you are. I'm not sure what has happened between you both, true. But, as a man, (if you can call yourself a 'man' lor) Which man will make his gf to be so darn miserable? NO other man I know has done it.
I know the male species usually are not good listeners. But, if you can just keep your bloody mouth shut long enough to listen to Tri, you can hear what she really wants to tell you! And not just keep making her shed tears for you. U and your worthlessness is simply NOT worth her tears at all!
You are so darn egoistic. So bloody full of yourself! Tri definately deserves someone more worthy!
ARGH!!! I feel so pissed... knowing that no matter what I say, she is still feeling the same. Knowing that there is NOTHING I can do. Knowing that she is miserable coz of this idiot and miserable coz of work. argh!!!!!!!!!!

A woman's fear
Not necessary for any other comments right? The first 5 words of the sentences seem to already say it all, right? =(
Hence, the need for this... at a freaking...
I really, really do hope this work wonders for my tired out skin.
Really have been working long and hard nights coz of the TMA... exams are round the corner and I've not been doing any revision at all. =(
Hope my skin won't suffer because of all these!

I tell you... the bug has really really....
Being Easter, we made our rounds to church for the 3pm Service. THE holy hour where the Lord gave up his life for us so needless to say is jam packed.
After that, Erkia, Hubby and me went to AMK S11 to have an early dinner since today is supposed to be a day of fasting and abstience for us. We were all famished after the long service. To my surprise, even met Cheryl there! So surprise. She was there with her friend, so we din talk much also.
Anyway! That's NOT the main point. The main point is this!!!and this!!!
NICE right?!!!!
Saw these 2 items at the HUB. Went for a walk there after the meal and I was thinking of getting an extra battery to replace the almost dying battery of my existing V3i, but the sales person told me, should not be the battery's fault. More like the software problem and I should be sending my V3i to the customer service store... heh.... If I have to, I won't go to the customer service lor, I'll pass to Emma or Karen lor. Easier for me. hahah.. see how. See if I can "dong" till Dec or I cannot take it anymore, I'll change a new hp...
Then just as I was about to leave, hubby saw this phone. The Motorola Rokr E6. It's a PDA phone, matching my needs too. Best of all, the price is very very reasonable! At only $328 for a 2-year contract! So much better than the Sony W880i or the Asus P535. Match my needs and NOT burn a hole in my pocket! Best of all, the reviews of this PDA phone is soooo good, till it's almost a perfect score! hahahaha...
OK, Decided. I shall go for this phone instead!
Next, a PINK mouse!!! PRETTY right?! VERY!!! I feel. There were lots of mouse to choose from. But somehow, the moment I saw this, the rest just don't attract me anymore. It's a tiny mouse and hor, it looks like an
optical wireless mouse right? Actually, it's not, it's a normal, wired, optical mouse.. just that the wire can be coiled round the mouse and it's hidden! Nice and compact! =)Yay!!! Bye to you, ugly red old thing. hahaha... Wanted to change mouse coz the roller is not working. Hence, was on the look out for one and I almost got an ugly looking one from NTUC.
But hubby was telling me, at the price of $40, can get something much better lor. I kind of agree too, so din buy. Thank God, no buy from NTUC! Else, I won't be able to buy this pink mouse. I can't be buying 2 mouse in the same day right?!
So, it does pay to listen to Jerome once in a while.. hahahahaha
"Old" meets "NEW". COOL! hahaha... happy manz! =D

The Dinner
The dinner was on Friday and all of the staff, if not most of the staff dressed up to the nines... Myself inclusive!
Actually, I feel there's nothing special about this dinner. We had the 10th anniversary celebration in Swissotel, this time, 15th anniversary, still the same place. I think it's the same ballroom too, Raffles Ballroom or something like that. Last time, Hubby came as my partner, now he came as my spouse. That time, Irene went alone, this time, Mel was with her. Still more or less the same faces at the same table too. hahahaha.... we are such creatures of habit!
And the dessert... the name sounds soooo yummy... "Warm Glutinous Rice with Vanilla Ice Cream" we were all so eager to find out just wat it was! The name just tease my tastebuds the whole evening!
Finally, when it's time for dessert. We found out wat it was... hahaha.. it's the "Oh Bi Bur" or some others call it the "Black Porridge dessert" with a scoop of Vanilla ice cream to replace the coconut milk!
HA!
But, surprisingly, the taste is really good! At least this time round, the food was much much better than the previous time. =)
