Necessary?

Irene was telling me that the Creative online stall is having a promotion for their stick-ons. Either a 2-in-1 at $3 or a 4-in-1 at $5. Quite cheap hor, so went in to take a look.

Then browse thru and looked at their designs. So so only lei. Though cheaper than normal but like not very nice lor. Either too loud, too stripy or too cute.

And the series which I like, is out of stock. Bleh!

I like this series, "Chic" actually, I only like the pink hearts not even the rest of the series. Can I just buy that particular piece? U reckon?

I think not possible la hor.. But nice lor, the Pink Hearts. =) Somemore can match my neeon, since mine is red. Kind of match lar.

Monday, December 4

Almost a long weekend.

I could have had a long weekend. And I ALMOST had it! That is, if I had applied the morning off as well today.

I had last Friday afternoon off, but in the morning, I had dental then followed by a good long lunch wif boss so I din even step foot into office on Friday. But coz, my leave are all ultised, so I can only spare a half day today.

It was a good day. Had lunch with Godma and Bro at a japanese restaurant - Amanmgawa @ Raffles City, B1. Food is good and cheap, some more no service charge, no GST! woo hoo.. Then we each bought a beard papa cream puff and settle down in Ben & Jerry's ice cream palour and chatted the afternoon away.

That is the life, man. Tai tai lifestyle. Godma is even more so tai tai! After meeting us, she will fly to Aust in the 8pm flight on a 3 week holiday! Can you beat that?! Wah... Bro and me are so envious!

Bro is on company time, so he had to go back, while Godma and me decided to just roam around. We bought nothing but hey... just the thought of shopping on a weekday is good enough to set us in super duper happy moods. Like Tai Tais that do not need to work or have a care or worry. We are just plain enjoying ourselves lor!

Asked Godma to help me buy the Estee Lauder christmas set lips gloss from the airport, since, it's duty free and bound to be cheaper lor. She sms me she got it already, at $60.50.. woah! Happy, some more, she says 1 of the shades is not available from the retail stores. Coz airport, so it's special. Wah.. happy lor.

But I have 1 comment, my Godma is really a shopping queen. Before, she has even boarded the plane, before she even left SG, she has burst another $550! Gosh!! In airport, Estee!

I really got to hand it to her, man!

But, then again, if given the chance, I think I can easily acheive that as well. hahaha..

Gng to bed now. Long day. Nite!

Friday, December 1

No need to wait anymore!

Guess what?

I'm typing this from home! Yups!! Went to SITEX earlier today and hubby and me signed up for the internet connection, we took up the starhub cable connection and we are entittled to a desktop plus a free phone line! Good!! Now I don't have to wait till I go back to office before I can blog or go online!

Did quite a few things today leh.

Dental in the morning (which costs us a grand total of $400 for the both of us!!!!), then had lunch with boss, ex ex sup, ex sup & current sup in Marche then rushed down to Changi expo for the SITEX. Had a seafood dinner in JB, Malaysia. Stole a few glances at future ta sao's bro. Then headed home.

Not ended yet. Still had to clean the house so that we can be free from doing all these over the weekend and can rest & rest. Somemore, my mom is back from China and tomorrow we shall go over for dinner. =)

Tested out the modem and to our suprise, we are connected already. Wasted no time in typing my virgin entry from home now. Not bad leh. Their service. Though we waited in the queue for almost 2 solid hours JUST to sign up for the connection, their activation service is really fast leh! We only manage to get the set and made payment at close to 5pm, and when we reached home at about 10pm, plucked in and PRESTO! we are connected already.

Woah! Fast service leh!

And also, we got a sure-win-lucky-dip. What we got? A notebook, with compliments from Starhub. And hor, by sign up with Starhub, we got a $40 Sakae sushi and also an additional $150 which hubby will use to upgrade the desktop. Pretty good deal I must say to sign up during the SITEX. Of course, we now need to buy a telephone, probably a cordless phone to make use of the voice enabled modem function. So now, our family can contact us via a home phone. No need to call us on our mobile all the time. Think I wanna go for 1 with the caller ID function. So, we can see whoever calls and er... I can maybe avoid answering certain callers lor.. hahaha.. CLEVER!

While in the queue, hubby helped me buy a hard disk casing for the spare disk that I have, as advised by Ah Teck. He says like that, I can have a spare hard disc since this tablet only has a 40G memory. Nice nice box and nice nice casing leh I feel. Some more hor, just at an affordable $6! But the problem now is, instead of a 60G disc, I only have like 17G memory available. Tried to format it and all, but just cannot get the max. size out! So strange lor. But nvm la, will bring to office on Monday and ask the expert to help me with it.

Lunch in Marche was free for us. Coz boss was so kind to buy us lunch further there is a 15% discount if we pay by Citibank or HSBC cards. Unfortunetely, boss don't have any of the cards so I paid first and then boss took the whole receipt with "What you all doing (we were looking at the bill and trying to figure out who ate what) give me, I'll settle with you (looked at me.)" So ok lor, since boss wanna pay, let him do it. haha.. we got free lunch. woo hoo!!

OBIL drove us all to JB for seafood dinner, food is good. We had seafood fried rice, black pepper crabs, butter prawns, lemon chicken and sambal kang kong. Nice. But all of them say the food was too spicy but I felt it was just nice only.

Since, we din have much chance to talk, the GF and I chatted for a while waiting for the men to come back from the gents. Then, since today morning, when I know that a dinner in JB was being planned, something keeps nagging me to remember to invite her to the Christmas gathering. And kind of glad that I did. She agree to come. I was kinda surprised at her readiness coz hubby says not coming ma.

The feeling that I got when she agrees and all was nothing out of the ordinary. Din feel like I'll be torturing myself. I cannot only believe that prayer really really works!

Lots mre of grandmother stories and details. Another time, more like after I bathe!

Need to bathe my smelly body now!

P.s.OK, back after my hot bath and for the pictures and details @ 12.50am

Thursday, November 30

Bye till next week!

Sings... Yippee ai ai yippee yippee ai! Yippee ai ai yippee yippe ai!! Yippee ai ai yippee... yippee ai aii yipppe. Yippe ai ai yippee yippee aii!!!

I won't be in office for the whole day tomorrow.

Have morning dental appointment then followed by lunch with boss and ex sup, ex ex sups and current sup in Marche in Suntec then lastly will make a trip down to expo for the IT fair.

Ya, I know I have bought my tablet, who knows what else I will pick up tomorrow right?? haha.. Definately need to look out for an internet plan.

The rest, we shall see.

Bye for now... Yay!! Long weekend!!!

New Addiction

Recently got hooked onto watching DVDs again. This time, I'm watching this.
恶作剧之吻 a.k.a "Started with a Kiss"
Quite a funny show leh! Only at episode 11 moving on to 12 soon, I hope. The female lead is kind of silly like Rainie Yang in the other show, "Devil beside you" but I think this show should be nicer lor. haha.. Coz the male lead better looking!

Kind of hooked on it not. Can't wait to go home and play this on the DVD machine!

New place in campus

Got an email from work that there's a new cafe that opened in campus a few months back. But never had the chance to go in to take a look. Just passed by when I go to borrow and returned books in the library.

But today, after an early lunch with hubby, OBIL (Hubby is free free now lor and OBIL just came back from his shift and in search of food) and Irene, Irene and I went to check out the cafe which is located in the library. Think it's a "in" thing now to have some sort of cafe in libraries. Already alot of the national libraries are catching up this trend and arrange for such a cafe inside.

Not too bad a corner. But the lights are too bright, if it's dimmer and more cushion chairs and more low tables, it will look cozy and nice. Since, we just had lunch, we just bought a cup of Hazlenut Latte and a cookie each to nibble on and sit down to chat.

This new cafe goes by the name of "Cafe Hot Shot."

The hazlenut latte, tasted only of coffee... no hazlenut at all! The cookies is quite cheap I feel. $1 each but for 2, it's $1.80.

Irene had the chocolate chip and hazlenut latte while I had my almond biscotti and hazlenut latte. The biscotti is nice! Crispy and with lots of almonds. The way I like it. But it does makes bitting and chewing tiring on the teeth. haha..

We chatted lots. About work, bf, families and also christmas presents. And you know what? We made a date to go shopping together next month. She needs to get her beloved, Mel a pressie and I wanna get hm.. I don't know.. Just get whaever that catches my eyes I guess. haha..

So the date is fixed. 15 Dec. (Payday!) We are going to paint the town red! We've both applied for half day leave, gonna grap a quick lunch and then to cheong the stalls and shops and malls. We are definately going to pay "Metro" & "Fong Hugs" a visit. Likely, Robibnsons as well. Gosh... Just the thought of shopping and I AM GETTING sooooo excited!

Tuesday, November 28

I got it!

I got my tablet! Even before the SITEX and I got a good set! =)

A Compaq tablet. Old model, yes - TC 1100 but it has been upgraded before. So instead of running on Plentium 4, it's running on Centrino, 512 RAM, 40G hard disk, external DVD player/CDRW with a less than 2KG weight, with a detachable keyboard.

It's a 2nd hand machine and still has a 6 months warranty. The set looks good to me and my office mate, Ah Teck assured me that it's good enough for my study next year since I don't do gaming and heavy multi-media stuffs.

Good!

Best of all, it suits my budget. I'm only paying $1.4K for this baby here. Though it's a 2nd hand set, the seller told me that it's in very good condition. The previous owner sold it coz he thought that the tablet has gone kaput while it's only that the stylus has some problems. After the servicing it and it's still in almost tip top condition.

So, yups. After weeks of praying, I got this set. Cool!

Monday, November 27

A wonderful weekend!

I had a wonderful, wonderful weekend with you know who?? My SISTER! Gosh, it's been such a long long time since we last went out, even for a simple meal was ages and ages ago!

We actually made plans to meet up in the afternoon but after my usual yoga and breakfast with the rest of the SW gang, it was already noon when I reached home. Also coz, I went to the library and also dropped by Charles & Keith to get that pair of dainty black ribboned heel that I was aiming at for sometime.
Nice? Dainty looking heels to match my little black dress!
Got it and then really dashed home! Still got to to at least vacuum the floor before going out, so rushed to do that too. By the time I am ready to go out was like 1pm and the sun was sooo bright and shiny and hot, we decided to go out later. Thank God for that, I was dog tired, went for a snooze and then as I was putting on my make up and clothes, thunder roars and lighting flashes across the skies. So another call to postponed our meeting time. *sucks*

Finally, FINALLY! We braved the drizzling rain and just meet up. Chatted about her school, my soon-to-start-school and work amongst other things. We were kinda stump of where to go but still we caught the train to Raffles City. I wanted to go to either Bugis or Suntec. But Bugis was to get something for work and it being weekend and all, not very keen to go to Bugis for work purposes and also got to change MRT at City Hall, forget it, just go to Raffles Plc. Went to the cosmestics section and looked at Estee and also Mac, but nothing caught my fancy. I wanted some eye creams and maybe some more cosmestics to my growing collection. Remembering that Lynn was recommending the Clarins eye cream and another cream for face, I went to take a look.

The sales recommended me the eye serum and eye balm. And when I mentioned that cream that I can just apply on my face then out I go w/o makeup, she wipped out another small red dainty bottle - "Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch." Now, I know what is making Lynn look soooo good ALL the time! So envious of her good and radiant skin. She looks so good even w/o makeup!

Totalled up the bill and short of like $6 in order to get their free gifts. Then found their Treatment Lip Balm. Got that as well and *GOSH* these small little things here costs me like $227!!! *Faints* These tubes and bottles BETTER work, man!
But HEY!! Check out these little tubes and bottles that I got for spending that amount? It's supposed to be a 5-piece-gift-set with the bag for spending $150.

But, then coz the sales person is so smart, she made me a member of Clarins, then apprantely apparently, she realised that I'm a potential Clarins user, she gave me a whole range of skin care too!
I have the cleanser, whitening essence, day & night cream & sun block in addition to the scrub, mask & body lotion.

Quite alot isn't it? And I still need to get 1 more product from Clarins. Their eye liner pencil. I've heard raves about it but it's out of stock ISLANDWIDE! Yikes! Anyway, made reservations for it, will go and get it when it comes in hopefully, before Christmas. And I guess, with the purchase of the eye liner pencil, (I intend to get 2, 1 is for a Christmas pressie for Godma, she's been looking for it), my membership for next year is *pit pat* in my pockets already!

Next stop, I wanted to show my sis that purple dress that was so pretty but oh well, Raffles Place don't have it or maybe we did not search hard enough. Nevermind la, went to Marks and Spencers. Woah... They have just increased their Chrismassy things! Remember I went to M&S not too long ago and spent a small fortune there? This time, I went again, but thank God, I din spend so much.

I bought the Gingerbread man cookies and also the vanilla bear cookies. Was thinking, I can package them nicely and then can give to the kiddies in CTK when I see them at midnight mass.

Kind of expensive to get each one an item so something like this will be perfect. I even manage to get the plastic wrappers and some Christmassy stickers (from NBC) to package the whole thing. Or even bring some to office if there are some last minutes gifts exchange but pai sey to say... I din prepare their share kind.

Something small and portable like this will be good right? Good idea hor? haha.. Cheapskate or not... I don't know la, but it's the thought that counts ma. Pressies costs a bomb leh, but something like this is nice and best of all, can be eaten, not just left there to decorate the place. haha..

Finally, both of us were tired out. More so like me la, need food in our stomachs and to rest our feet. But before we even manage to get so much as a sip of water, I was once again distracted. Distracted by the huge banner from UOB, promoting their new "Signature Card." A deep, dark royal purple, that card and again a whole host of other promotions and benefits. I took a look at their free gift.
Not too bad, a card holder, a pen and also a nice looking radio. Signed up on the spot. What drew me there was actually their one liner, "Get your card within 3 hours." Not that I am desparate to have this card lar, but want to experience it ma. Basket! Then they told me, the last "order" was 2.30pm. Bleh!

Anyway, I still signed up for the card and there, the free gifts. Think they will send me a notice for me to collect the radio another day. But for the time being, these are what I have and I have no use for it. Wonders if hubby wants it? *Kicks myself* I should have signed up earlier and he could have brought this along with him when he went for his seminar over the weekend! *double BLEH*

After all these distractions, we are both famished and really in need of food, water and rest. Walked around the basement of Raffles City. Wanted to bring my sis to Kushin Bo at first, then she said she's not a fan of sashimi then forget it, that dinner would have costs me almost a $100 and if she don't eat sashimi then no point going there. So we looked around elsewhere instead.

Decided on Subway.

Pretty packed, so we had to share seats, but before we finished the couple left and a big ang mo with booming voice joined us at our table. He ate very fast. We were not even halfway thru, he left. Gosh.. Good he left, then we had the whole table to ourselves. But shortly, after, another guy came and share our seats.

A CUTIE can! Boy, he's sooooo cute!!!! Tall, tanned, lively & big bright eyes! Well shaped dark eyebrows, he speaks very well too! The typical "ang mo kan tang" accent and when he smiles, his pearly whites are so neat and visible! Woah!! My heart really beat faster leh! Cute! We pretty much ignored each other throughout the meal, my sis and I were chatting and then I asked my sis to check out the queue at the counter so that I can go and get a carrier, this little cutie offered his to us. He said he has no use for it anyway and offered it to us. Woah!! A gentleman in additon to his good looks!! Then, we start to chat a while. He's sooo young. Just completed NS, waiting to go into a culinary school and he wants to be French Cusine chef, NO girlfriend, working in Adiddas for the time being. Name's Raymond. Gosh.. If I was younger, if I was not married, I'm very sure, we would have exchanged telephone numbers before his dinner hour is up! hahah.. but too bad for me, we did nothing like that.

After we left, my sis agreed with me, he's cute! Woah!! That shows he's really, R-E-A-L-L-Y cute. Coz my sis is that kind who does not bother much about guys and so far, she has NEVER agree with me on my acquired tastes of guys. haha..

Oh man, what a good dinner, with a cutie pie beside me, and oh gosh... makes my heart beat faster like a silly, giggly, girly teen.

My sis rolled her eyes at me at this point in time. Ha!

We took a walk to Suntec, I wanted to go to I Nuovi to get that "Colour Stay" makeup which I can use as eyeshadow and blusher.

Good deal (at only $28 with the ABN credit card) and easy to use I think.

Since, I brought 2 of my old makeup with me, I can buy 2 of the new range of this colourstay. The shades when you look at the actual thing is so pretty. Much nicer than the online version. I was just standing there and looking and looking and the sales recommended me the "Kiss & Tell" (on the right) which are nude shades, very suitable for daily wear. And then for the other one, I like the sweet colours of "Garden of Eden" and "Day Dreamer" but the tones seem too common and too cool for me, she recommended me the "Shangri-la" (on the left) instead coz the blue tone is very nice and not common. Since, she's the professional, I shall listen to her. Will find a chance to use it soon and see how it is. It's my first time using I Nouvi products and if it's not for the ABN promotion, I guess I won't bother to try also. I don't have the time to go cosmestics shopping and neither does hubby have the patience to do it with me I guess. So I stick to the super dull Bodyshop. But THIS is going to change!

Finally, with a bigger cosmestics carrier and feeling the heat of my credit cards. We went grocery shopping. Went to the hypermart, Carrefour, din get much but just some snacks and it's another $30 or so. Gosh...

Sis got a bar of the Royce Chocolates, Rum and Rasin... Carrier very nice leh. High class paper bag carrier for that bar of chocolate. Finally decided to go home.

And I'm soooo embrassed to say that, I did NOT know that 162 pass by Suntec! Gosh! I could have dug a hole and burried myself when I say we walk to Marina to take 162. My sis blurted out, "You siao ar? Go so far for what? Here have what!" I just stared at her. And yes! 162 is available RIGHT outside Suntec and it goes ALL the way home.

Just how silly can I get? Oh man! I think I should not feel so bad. Hubby is not aware too. Next time, if we go to Suntec, we shall take the bus there. -_-"

Sis came to my home to spend the night since there's no one at my parents' home and at my home. My mom and youngest sis are in China, hubby in KL. So we are 2 lonely sisters keeping each other for company. haha..

She spent the night and we both slept on my big double bed, that's the only bed available anway and on Sunday, before I left for church, she went home.

I really enjoyed her company, though it was just me doing shopping, she following but we chatted and it's so good to just feel comfortable with each other and spend time together. Should do it more often. Maybe after her exams and also during the Christmas period lor.

Shall wait and see.

Oh yes, I'm $400 broke-r after all my purchases.

Friday, November 24

Off for the weekend.

Hooray... the weekend is here. And officially I'm off work already.

Nothing bad this week except for that stupid horrible dream I had a couple of nights ago. Bleh! Pui! pUi! PUI!!!

Already made plans to go shopping with my sis tomorrow. Cannot remember when was the last time I went out with her. Seems like we are the 2 lonely souls in SG now. Anyway, she will be stuck alone at home, so just as well that we accompany each other tml.

I know what I wanna get already. haha.. to get that pair of Charles & Keith heels that does not have my size in J8, Bishan.

Then to cosmestic counters to do a makeover in my colour department...

Christmas pressies...

Clothes and anything and everything that catches my eyes.. and best of all, no hubby to nag at me.. So I can let myself go tml. Yay!!!

Need to also have a good dinner with sis then. haha..

Thursday, November 23

Time to update!

With the festivities drawing closer and closer everyday, I think it is time for me to change my wardrobe - the cosmestics drawer that is. I would of course love to change my clothings wardrobe as well but I think that is too huge a project with the little cash I have. I think the safer and mre cost effective and yet a refreshing change can be made from the cosmestics department.

So bearing this in mind, I have already looked around and I think I wanna get these...

Clarins Eye liner Pencil in Brown
Currently using Body Shop's. Not good, the thing liner come off too easily. I hear that this Clarins is very good. This is at about $30 each. Have already tested it out in Isetan the other day, will just wait for another day to get it. Probably will be getting this for Godma's christmas present as well since she's also looking for it.

Having new matching colours on eyes and cheeks is made so much easier with this baby from I Nuovi. It comes with 2 eyeshadow colours + a blusher in a compact little casing matched and coordinated in the same colour theme! What's more, the recent ABN credit card promo says I can bring along any old make up and change for one of these at I Nuovi for just $28!
Colour Story by I Nuovi. What's your choice?
Should I get the Garden of Eden? With such sweet pastel shades or should I go for a stronger colour like Day Dreamer? Will I really get to day dream more often with that shade on my face? Not to forget Kiss & Tell. I'm sure I'm gonna get that, the shades looks so suitable for some after work gathering or nites out with hubby!

With new shades on most of my features, how can I forget my lips then?! For some impromtu plukering up sessions with hubby, this is a Not-To-Be-Missed!

Not sure if the shades suit me, will go down to Estee to try when this item is in. I fell in love with it when I saw the brochure last week during the Estee sale that I went with Godma. If I don't remember wrongly, it's either $65 or $85.

During last week's sale, I got a 4 pc free gift set from Estee for spending more than $150. And I'm using their Mascara for the first time and woah! Good! Very easy application, lash does not clump together and it makes my eye lashes soooooo long. Almost looking like a pair of doll's eyes!
Estee's Lash XL
I'm gonna ditch my current Loreal "Double Extension" to Mr Bin, not that it's not good. It's good at lengthening my lashes but ley chey to apply and compare to the application, by the time I coat my lashes the 2nd time, my lashes start clumping and what I hate most is the "fibre" that's being applied is a WHITE coat and many a times, I have black lashes at the base, but once I open my eyes, gosh! The tips are white against the light! I have tried to re-coat it with black then the middle of the lash becomes ultra fat! Bleh!!

Finally, this! I believe is my solution. I'm gonna use my samples for a few more days and if I love it, I will change it!! Not sure how much this costs, but a bottle of Mascara lasts forever. I can probably use this for up to a year before I even need to buy a new bottle.

I guess that's all for the time being. If something else catches my eye, will holler to the world.

So anyone gng to buy me any of these for Christmas? hahahahahahaha...

Wednesday, November 22

In a Pretty mood

I woke up this morning feeling pretty. It's hard for most to wake up feeling pretty I guess. With messy eyes, blury mouth and probably not so good breadth, how to feel pretty first thing in the morning right?

But I truly was feeling pretty. Could be those romance novels that I've been burrying my nose in for the past few days which results in good dreams or could it be the lunch with 3 guy colleagues later in the day? I have no idea.

So anyway, I went to prepare myself for work and best of all, after applying makeup, I feel even prettier! Changed a mascara and woo... my eyes immediately look bigger and softer. Not really the same as usual. Nice! =) WOAH!! Today IS a good day for me leh! hahahaha..

Probably at the excitment that I can bring my new plastic cover to work and use it when I've been waiting for it for so long. But guess what? After I showed it to my office mate, he assumed I helped him buy it and he paid me back the amount. =_="

I also pai sey to say I buy for myself so I tried to say that this 1 is a heart shaped knob let me have it first and I will get another one for him. He says it's ok, he don't mind. That made me really pai sey and ok lor... I let him have it first. Also blessing in diguse lor... my cup's mouth is too big, the cover does not fit well and also I can't lift up the cup using just the lid, coz it's too heavy. So just as well ba.

My colleagues brought me to eat at a vegetarian restaurant behind the Thomson Plaza earlier. Was to thank me for helping them in their short course recently. Quite pai sey but then since they insists, then go lor. Free lunch ma. =)

Food not bad. Kind of ang mo vegetraian I feel. I had spinach something pasta and a mushroom soup. All herbs and veggies. Healthy meal. Since it's a treat, I have no idea how much but I think close to $14 max. Coz of all the various taxes. That restaurant is somewhere in Jasmine Road. Quaint and quiet little place tucked away in all the private houses. Not bad. But I won't go again on my own la, not a veggies kind of person. But I do agree that once a while, eating pure veggies is healthy!

Talked about catholics, christian and also schools. 1 of them was asking me how and where will I place my kids in future, and I honestly told them the 2 mission schools near to my place lor. And they were suitably impressed saying that I've planned so far. hahaha.. But for us, no need to plan mar, definately our kids will go to mission schools, we will want to put them in mission schools. So not much planning needed I feel, just need plenty of prayers that there will be vacancy for them. haha..

Tonite, tomorrow nite and Friday nite will be spent in church coz of the triddum talks on "Community in prayer". I heard some of the priest who are here for the talks is very good. Should not miss kind. So yup, 3 nites in church for us this week.

Bought lots but not what I set out for.

Made a trip to Bishan Junction 8 after work yesterday since hubby went for some seminar. Was actually comtemplating to go somewhere further like town to get cosmestics and shoes or to just go nearby to get shoes. Deliberated for awhile and then decided for somewhere nearer home. Easy to go and also coz of the time constraints.

First stop, Action City where I'm still trying to get the cup cover for myself. I know I had made a reservation but sigh... the people there cannot make it la. So anywhere since I'm there, went to take a look and yay!! The new stock has come in, so I choose one with a heart shaped knob and bought it. =)

Then was thinking of tapow some kind of food home so I don't have to eat from the boring coffeeshop but yet again, nothing caught my stomach this time so I just bought a braguette and went to NTUC, got some butter, ham, lettuce and tomatoes. This shall be home made sandwich for dinner. With dinner in my hands, a not rumbling tummy as yet, I decided to head to Charles & Keith to find mself a pair black heels that I can wear to christmas mass and walk home without crippling myself while doing that.

Took a while and then I saw 2 pairs that I think will do nicely. Got the sales person to help me seach for it while I take a short rest and plong myself on the nearest couch. Was thinking happily to myself, now if both fits, which should I get? The sales person choose to come out at this time and with a sheepish face, told me don't have my size for either pair. DANG!!! What a bummer... *sigh* Tried on one that is a size bigger, nope, does not fit. =( sucks.

Don't have it in my size means no shoes for me and hence the hunt still carries on. Disappointed but went to DMK to look see, nope. Nothing there too. Even the Primavera has NOTHING that catches my eyes.

Forget it then. Will hunt for the shoes another day. Went to the library to drop off a book and in turn also borrowed another book. I'm so amazed at myself! I managed to finish reading all the 6 books that I borrowed 2 weeks ago by yesterday evening!!! 2 of which are Pearse's books and her books are damn thick, I finished all. No wonder, hubby calls me "Bookworm" at times.

With just 1 book left to go, I'm sure I can return all my book this Sat. Oh yes!! Must remind hubby to place all his books together with mine before he leaves for KL on Friday, so after yoga & breakfast on Sat morning, I can dump all the books into the bin drop and borrow somemore!

Once I walked out of the library, then I realised, I forgot to get something important. The Redoxon effervescent tablets.. I have a flu and sore throat coming, better start taking some vitamin C to hopefully fight it off. Back to Junction 8 my directed my legs.

Got all my things, then finally head back home, mentally checking off the things that I have bought to the cash in my wallet. Wah.. just an unplanned trip, costs me close to $30 and I still din get what I set out for to get. My shoes and cosmestics!!! *sigh*

Reached home just slightly after 7.30pm. Perfect! Quickly went to bathe and prepared dinner for myself. Happily cutting all the things and squeezed it into my braguette and just after I've taken 2 bites of my sandwich and read barely a page of my book, I got a phone call and my hp was miles away! Silent cursed myself. Should have listened to my head earlier and brought my hp + book nearer to myself! Quickly swallowed my sandwich and glanced at the number.. Doesn't look too familiar but I have a feeling I know that number. When I answered. Yep! I definately know the caller. Who else but my FIL. -_-" I kind of expected him to call. But din expect so soon only. *sigh* what to do? Pick up the call and talk lor.

Mostly, we talked about hubby lar. What course he went, where, with who, need to pay, how often... he found job etc etc etc.. gosh.. All these things, hubby can simply answer him when he asked but hubby choose to not answer or give mono words answers, so how? FIL called me lor. Talked for about 15 mins then he decided that he has enough answers and let me off the hook. *phew*

Gave my full concentration to my sandwich and my book. All too soon, it's 9.30pm and then the guy from the Diamond Energy water came. His main purpose was to clean 1 of the filters for us to demonstrate how dirty our tap water is. But my main purpose was for him to take back the set. When he showed me the water.. gosh!! Really is dirty leh. Lots of fine sand stuck to the filter. I would have taken a picture of it but camera is on loan to my mom. But the set is too costly for us. We will continue to drink tap water for the time being. He also very long winded leh, took about an hour before he finally left the house and I can settled back into my book.

Finished it before hubby even reach home. =( He finally came home at close to 11.15pm and after bathing and all was already for bed. Chatted for awhile about his course and also FIL's phone call and we called it a night. Too tired for anything else.

Din even have the chance to show him my purchases ok!

Not so new Christmas present.

If you don't already know, hubby asked OBIL to help buy the Creative MP3 for my christmas present this year.

I was pretty ok with OBIL picking up the player. But I'm pretty pissed now. Coz on Sat night when OBIL got home, he called hubby and then told him over the phone that he wanted to test out the MP3 (which I suspect is equivalent to "I wanna play with it first") And Hubby allowed him to!

Argg!!!

This IS supposed to be MY christmas present right? Why is he using it or rather playing with it before I even seen it?

I was fuming and I thought about it and then told hubby that he can keep the MP3, I don't want it anymore. Hubby's face fell. He don't understand why I have to create such a big hoo ha over his bro played with the set lor. And even when I told him the reverse situation, hubby still feels that it is ok. =(

Desparately needed someone who will understand and I sms Wise since we have sort of similiar situation. She empathised with me and then tell me to not let it bother me lor. Just accept it graciously and let all the things pass.

However unwilling I was, I took her advise. Hubby became slightly happier but of course I was still pretty upset and pretty sore that someone else beat me to using my own MP3. =(

After yoga last night, again I brought up the subject of how insenstitive I find my 2 BILs are to us. Hubby got tired exasperated and then tell me, "I know you find them insenstitive, when they behaved like that, I've also told them off. What do you want me to do?" I was incredulous! Hubby did not! He did not tell his bro off when he wanted to play with my MP3, neither did he told off YBIL when he occupied the whole 3 seats leaving us nowhere to sit when we were there a few weeks ago! Hubby just let it be.

I felt so sad. Sad that it seems (to me at least) that it's like me causing him to be trapped in the middle. Sad that hubby don't seem to understand what I'm trying to get across to him. Sad that he is so blinded by his bros that he cannot see for himself how insenstitive they are! Sad that he let them ride over his head.

Hubby said I have a too high expecation of people. How they should be behaving and certain behaviour are unacceptable to me, and I agree with him. How can I accept such behaviour which lacks common sense and basic manners?!

When you buy a present for your spouse would you allow another person to 'test' it before your spouse has even received it?

When someone comes to your house, be it your family members or guests, and you see your own family member lying outstreched on the sofa (occupying all the seating available), leaving only the floor and some scattered stools to sit on, will you walk away and not say anything? Or would you at least tell that person (whose lying on the sofa) to get up and make some space?

I know I will not allow another to 'test' out hubby's present, not even my sisters, they can take a look at it, hold the box also. But not to the extend of 'testing' it. And if someone was to come to my home, unless that person lying on the sofa is sick or a child, I will tell him to get up to make space.

Isn't these basic manners, common sense and courtesy?!! To me it is! I don't need to be told to do all these. So why does 2 grown man of age 28 and 20 need to be told of what to do?

The most laughable thing was that hubby said, "They will be better when they grow older." Hello!!! At age 28 and 20, still need to be taught these they still need to grow????!!! Then how much older do they need to grow till they become MORE senstitive???!!!!!!!!

Andway, I got the MP3 yesterday when I came home after work. Hubby was all secretive, following me around the house holding his hands behind his back. I knew he was going to hand it to me, but coz of the incident with OBIL, I din really feel like taking it... yet. And according to hubby, OBIL din get to test the player at all coz there was no battery. So, I should be feeling happier. I managed a weak smile for hubby.

Call me selfish, whatever but fact of the day is, I just don't like anyone opening, touching my present when I, THE recipent has not even lay my hands on it!

Now, tell me, am I being childish, petty, unreasonable or do I simply "have a high expectation of people"?

Did you notice it?

Did you notice all the new and cute pics here??

All thanks to hubby who helped me put it up. I like it. Isn't it cute?

And yes, Tare Panda is my favourite character. I simply love it. So cute. So lazy, so comfortable just lying there!!

I remembered I was very crazy over this character a few years back. I have ALL the stickers, notepads and letter sets of the panda. I even have a stencil in which I can trace it out! haha...

What made me suddenly want to put it up was coz I was surfing and came across this blog. It inspired me to do something similiar. I wanted to copy the whole skin and used it actually. But hubby made me go and find pics for him and he helped me put it up. I have no idea what he did but it works and that's all that matters to me! haha..

Very very happy!

Retail Therapy!!!

Took leave today (on PAY DAY!!) *flashes danger sighs* and went on a FULL... well,semi-full retail thereapy with my usual kaki when it comes to shopping, my Godma!! Yippee!!!

She being an ardent fan of Estee Lauder, got invited to their private sale cum hearty breakfast in Centrepoint and brought me along.

It was fun, that was my first time attending Private Sales of cosmestics and I swear, half of the women there must be tai tai's ok. How else can they reach town so early in the morning, fully made up, dressed to the nines, speak english and seems to be soooooo familiar with all the various Estee products??!!

They carry themselves off with that air of "tai tai-ness" lar, and they are not the young young ones like me, they probably are the 40's and 50's. But 1 lady, her skin is literally GLOWING!! My goodness. How to acheive skin like that?!! And she was carrying an LV bag lor. So? Tai Tai right?! wah lau.. I also want man.

And if you saw the way they bought up the products... gosh... as though it's F-R-E-E ok! Godma also can almost there already... if she had worn something dressier and carry an authetic bag, yup, she can pass off as Tai Tai too... within 20 mins, she has picked out more than $400 worth of products.. and when I looked at it, ermm.. there's like only 3 items?? Gosh...

But I din do too badly too leh, I picked out a set of fragrance, a liquid foundation as well as a lips gloss for myself. No where near Godma's $400 (Thank God!) but it's still a whooping $177, out of which FIL sponsored me $30 by Robinson Vouchers (was some thank you thingy from his insurance and he gave it to me!) So I spent like $147 only lor. Not that bad.

Woah.. first thing in the morning, had a good breakfast, things to see and things to buy. Woo hoo!!!

We saw this gorgeous purple dress that looks very good on me in Robinsons. (Frankly, I don't expect to see any nice dresses there, my opinion of it, are mostly "Ah Ma" clothes lor.. but this dress is really nice!) But my photo skills does not do the dress justice too... BUT Sooo tempted to get it.. but really seldome have chance to wear it.. so still thinking about it.. If only, I have MORE vouchers or some kind soul wanna sponsor me. That dress is $140, sponsor 50% I also happy lor. kekeke... Godma mention during lunch that if she strikes Toto, she will sponsor me my labby and throw in this dress as well wor. Not bad hor? So ok. I'll pray for either she strike or I strike!!! haha.. But come to think of it, I think I strike better leh!

Another happy thing is, I manage to buy Christmas presents for my colleagues mostly from Marks & Spences (branded ok!!). I bought a hand cream and hand wash set for my current immediate sup, then for boss, ex sup, ex ex sup and also ah Teck, it's a box of chocolates each. I know there are 5 boxes of chocolates there, but hey, I got to be prepared and have a box on standby right?! What if someone (don't know who) gives me something? Then at least I have something there to exchange back mar... And if I'm not well-liked enough, then also can give to our immediate neighbour, who kindly gave us a box of home made cookies during the recent Hari Raya lor. I was thinking if Christmas we din give them anything, will wait till CNY and give an AP to the children who are staying there lor.

Also bought a small box of short bread fingers (at Godma's recpmmendation) for purely, hubby and MY enjoyment. Not sure, when we will take it out to try but should be pretty soon. Maybe after my kickbox session tomorrow night will be a good time to try? If not, it shall wait till the weekend is here then we have the luxury to sample it. I wonder how it tastes though.. And you know what is the best thing about being married? Well, simply, whatever I don't like to eat, I can push it to hubby! =P

And also the 2 BILs (haha.. cheapskate me, bought them at Cold Storage!!) The 2 items costs me less than $10! Cheap and nice and good and presentable. Was debating for sometime if I should get another separate gift for OBIL's new gf... think and think then decided against it. Don't know her very well lor. So save my dollar for myself. For all of my Christmas pressies the total was like $115... so it's quite worth it I feel. Good! Solves my problem of what to get and best of all, most of it comes nicely wrapped, I don't have to wrapped it anymore. Perfect. Saves time!

The only Christmas presents that I have to look for are now for Godma, my sisters and MAYBE hubby.. since I already bought him the blue helicopter the other day. No need to get lor hor.. Save dollars leh! Then I can get my purple dress! *evil grin*

Met bro for lunch at a Jap restaurant. Nice leh the food! Wah... pricing is reasonable, we had shabu shabu and also grilled Jab food. And coz the restaurant was not crowded hor, the staff can actually grill and serve the food onto our plates! As usual, with the 3 of us, it's alwasy yak yak yak time.Too bad, bro had to go back to office, hence we cannot continue, but Godma and I went to walk round some more. Maybe coz we had done our therapy session in the morning, so we din manage to get anything, it was really just to walk and pass time before my facial session later in the evening.

Since Godma was soooo keen to get the clarins eyeliner pencil, she just HAD to go to Toa Payoh to find it. Also she was looking for the sun block by Loreal. But both items no stock leh... hahaa.. wasted trip for her lor. I went for my facial while Godma went home.. and was sooo tired with the walking, laughing and carrying of heavy things, I literally dozed off while on the bed!

Then, I decided that I cannot stand my messy broom that is growing on my head any longer, went for a haircut. Waited 1 hour!!! -_-" But!! Worth the wait lor. Can see from the previous pic to this that my hair is sooo much better now right?!

Now, I have short sassy hair! =)

But to end the whole day, had to have an arguement with hubby. *sigh* Imperfect ending to an other wise perfect day leh.

P.s. I took lots of pics.. will upload another day when I manage to go thru it all.

P.p.s Edited on 17 Nov to add photos and mre text. =)

Helpless

Have you ever tried waking up one day and just feel terriably down? As though the end of the world is here and nothing seems to go right no matter what?

I woke up feeling like this yesterday. I can't even blog about it coz I was just feeling sooooo down and miserable! For some strange reason, I woke up at the same time, doing the same thing but the feelings and actions are different.

I tried on 3 sets of clothes before I'm finally satisifed with my outfit which is not fanastic too. Breakfast wif hubby was in silence, he did nothing to upset me. My hair was in a mess, coz it's grown too long and it's curling out everywhere.

My shoes don't match not coz I wore the wrong pair of shoes but because I had nothing to match. The only thing it matched was my bag. My bag was too small, I had to hold my books in the hand.

I missed my bus came to office slightly late. The sun was too hot.

Nothing seems to be right for the whole day!

The day began to look brighter and better during my usual MSN chats... Metro said they had the plane that hubby wanted. Stock was coming in later.

I'm damn hungry!

I had Ginger Spring Onions Beef Rice for lunch.
From thisto this..
Within 15 mintues.

What can I say?

I'm damn hungry.

Yeah! Yeah!! YEAH!!!

Can guess that I am very, in fact super duper happy from my title right?! hahaha..

YOU BET I AM!!

Coz, I'm going to have the afternoon off and then hit the towns with hubby later. It's been sometime since I last went to town with hubby on a weekday. Though I've been going shopping and all but it's always with Godma or friends and it's not the same as going out with hubby.

I mean come on, if you hit the towns with ur friends, you cannot possibly go.. "Darling, my hands are aching, can you help me with this?" neither can you go, "Darling, can you buy this for me?" right?!

So, although hubby will stop me from buying most things, but I think we will still be able to have an enjoyable afternoon later. =)

Gosh! Look at the time! I better hurry and dash off... bye bye!

sweet!

Earlier, a secondary school came here for an "Oral Presentation Workshop" for their Secondary 3E and 4N students.

I know the teacher in charge coz he has been coming for the last few years frequently, and I like the way he handle his students. He is that kind who can gell very well with them yet at the same time, firm with them.

He is one of the few teachers that I've seen will actually bother to keep his students behaved and quiet while out of their school and in our compounds. For this, I truly respect him.

And this teacher is quite cute looking too! =P Also, he is very sweet. Whenever he comes for some sort of workshops or visits with his students. He makes it a point to present us with a token of appreciation. Not that, I like the gifts. But it's the tthoughts that count. Really.

This time, he presented us, the 4 ladies with a cute bear + 4 tie pins. The bear is maybe a good choice. But tie pins? haha..

So see? Not that we like the gifts, but we appreciate his efforts and that he is thoughtful enough to just offer a token of appreciation.

Best part is, today, he came with another gorgeous looking male teacher! He speaks so well and he's so good looking that when I look at him, my heart beats faster ok! And it's not just me who feel this way, my other colleague feels exactally the same way!

So there! He IS gorgeous!

Pek Chek~ DAMN pek chek!!

If you don't already know, yours truly ME is in search of a Notebook.

Had more or less decided on Thinkpad T60 then along the way, I asked my colleague and he says that machine is too power for me. So I re-looked and re-searched for another machine which will be suitable for me. Came across another 2, sent to a vendor to ask for quotes.

Vendor replied a long email. Saying that those models are already heavily discounted for NTU students yadda yadda yadda... (In a nutshell, the models are older, and if I want cheap, I should get it but not compare to outside prices, which are definately gng to be more expensive. But if I want new models, I should wait for July 07.) I must add that, in the email from the vendor, he was being perfectly fine ok, not rude at all.

Then I replied with a list of my requirements and asked him to re-recommend.

DING~

DONG!

DING~

DONG!

DING~

DONG!

And the search is still on for THE notebook (or better still, TABLET) that will fit.

If you have something to recommend based on my criteria below, drop me a note. I will be sure to keep a lookout or at least, read up the specificiations, do a google search and take a look at the aesestics of it, ya.

Ok! MY requirements.

Budget: $2000 SGD
Aesestics: slim & sleek like this baby here, Fujitsu P1510!
Portable of not more than 2kg
Processor: at least an Intel Core Duo, preferably an Intel Core 2 Duo
RAM: 1GB (mostly it's 512MB, but I can pay for the upgrade, small issue)
Screen: at least 12" (I'll go blind if it's anymore smaller!)
Battery life: at least 3-4 hours w/o plucking into the darn power supply
Connectivity: the more gadgets it can connec to, the better!
Sound & Graphics: No need too good, I'm not into gaming nor music.
Support: Local and strong support (don't need the international warranty n support, me not gng to travel so often)
Definately, not something that is so fresh from the production line and not something that is gonna be obseleted in the next few months!

Ok. That's about all I need and want for my NB/Tab. Is it so darn hard to find? Or have I been looking at the wrong directions all this while?

And to add to my already not so good mood, some smart alec locked all the female toilets at level 3 and 4. So the blessed students come up to my leve, level 5 to use the ladies. And you know how long a female can spend in a toilet. BEST OF THE BEST, you know what? THAT toilet is meant for STAFF and, it is something like a handicapped toilet, only 1 set of everything.

Well, I WAITED for 15 minutes just for that woman to come out. SOOOO BLOODY LONG!!! I obviously don't know what she was doing inside but I'm 100% sure she did not faint. She was using the dryer and the tap one after the other.

The cleaning auntie told me, maybe one of the malays. Probably washing feet.

DAMN it, wash feet wash so darn bloody long?! And it's so inconsiderate of whoever is in THAT toilet ok! Only 1 room and take so darn long, not to mention that the water will be ALL OVER the floor and then when anyone goes in, all the dirty foot prints will be all over! Need to take so long, then should not be using the individual toilets la, go to the common kind ma.

Bloody long I waited lor!!

ARGG!!! Tell me, how to stop this waiting game?! How? HOW? HOW??!!!
