KL trip - Day 1

Abit late for this post but then the saying goes, "better late than never" right? So here I am dilligently updating my blog with tonnes and tonees of photos. A pertty long summary if I may add...

27 Jun, 10.30 pm...
As my post says earlier, our bus was scheduled to leave from Golden Mile complex. So here I am wif my girl friend, Trina. Look at my nerdy face, I assume that I will doze off on the bus and have wore contacts for the whole day so better just stick to being nerdy for the few hours that we will be there. We were both so excited at going off on our own. Trina's virgin trip out of SG wif a friend and for me, my virgin trip out of SG wif a girl friend! HOnestly, I was not as excited as gng to KL coz I have already been there twice with hubby. But I told myself, with girl friend and hubby definately different! *cross fingers hopping to get loads of stuff back!*

28 Jun, midnight...
We reached "Yong Ping" the halfway stop, for us to grab a bite and to pee. 30 mins later, we were back on the coach. It is interesting to note that from the time we got on till now, we ARE still yakking away! I think the whole bus is asleep except for the driver and ourselves! So of course, we were careful to keep our voices down too in case we woke up anyone and we find ourselves suddenly ladden with more shoes and slippers.

28 Jun, 3.58 AM...
Cold on the bus, I was wrapped like a "bak chang" listening to Ipod and dozing off and then we reached... KL! =) Very happy to finally get off the darn bus, not that it's not comfy but being trapped there for too long lar. After we got dw fm the bus, I began to feel a shiver of fear up my spine. We are in the middle of KL, all I know somewhere near "Pudu Raya" bus station at freaking 4AM! Hoardes of male were around, or rather TAXI drivers were all round, and there's only US!!! We were looking forlorn and definately our faces spell L-O-S-T!!! Decided to go into the nearest safest looking building... some hotel.. and asked the security for directions. And can you believe our boldness or lack of fear whatever you wanna call it. We WALKED to our hotel @ Swiss Garden all the time being approached by taxi drivers (which we have heard sooo many stories, that we decided we will rather cripple ourselves than get onto their car!) Halfway stopping in a 7 eleven to ask for more directions to see if we are on the right track. Thank God, my prayers are answered. We managed to find our hotel, reach there in 2 pieces (cos there's 2 of us mah!) Reached the blessed hotel at 4.30 am, can't check in unless we pay $150 RM for early check in. No choice. We pay lor. Finally a rm to rest and zzz and wash up.

28 Jun, 9 am...
Bright and early we rose! Considering we slp at 5 am and woke up at this unearthly hour of 9 ok. Bathe and got ready and we hit TIMES SQUARE. Wah! Splendid. Floors and floors of shops bekoning us to go in and spend our ringgits. But first, we got to settle our stomach, put in some food for that much needed energy and then to hit the shoops. Times Square also house the indoor theme park, Cosmos or something. We din waste too much time for bf and goggling at theme park combined, we were simply TOO eager to start shopping and lighten those dollars n cents in our wallets. First stop, accessories. Goodness... we spent at least 30 mins there. Just looking and choosing and asking "nice or not", "nice or not".. just look at MY loot! Of course, there a few cutsy ones that I got for my youngest sis. Not all for me la, though MOST are mine! whahahaha..

Next, clothes! Hahaha.. I went bonkers today! A picture says a thousand words and just look at my clothes.. lingerie inclusive, coz we went to Sungei Wang after Times Square and I cannot resists my warcoal when we hit there. haha.. OUt of the so many, there are 2 that belongs to hubby and 1 considering to give to my other sister lor. SO not so many after all right? Probably add up to like 5 tops, 1 skirt, 1 "bubble" shorts (Trina coined it), 2 bra and 1 free panty only lor for today =( oooooh! I forgot to add that, while I as at the Metro Berjaya (something to that spelling lar huh) I was looking at the various bras. For me, I usually look at the design of the bra before I decide to try. I think most would lar, u only try if u like the design of it right?! So the very nice lady came to me and tell me this nice, that nice, I find her irriating lar, then finally I made my choice, asked her for my size.. which is hmmm.. not going to reveal here. Then went into the changing room lor. Then as usual with any sales ppl, they will ask u "how miss? how miss?" I told her cannot, too loose, too tight. Then did you know what she said? She said, Miss u open up, I help u see! *OMG* I was like -_-" but hor.. I did leh. I can't believe myself too. I let her in! She looked at me and agreed, ya, too small, cannot see that I am so "wei da" too. Haha.. So out she went and came in with more recommendations. Which finally resulted in what I bought as above lor. This is the FIRST time, ever that I have met such a friendly lady who erm.. acutally came into the fitting room to try out for me too leh. Did feel abit uncomfy but then again, what I have, she has too lar. So not a big issue to me lor. Haha..

Oh! Before I forget, they have a shop similiar to "The Face Shop" of SG. Their things are cheap so I could'nt resists too and got these woman just cannot resists clothes and anything that make us pretty, which includes inwards AND outwards!! And here I bought, eye cream, eye brow pencil, tweezer and also blusher. All these for only $36 RM!! CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP right!?!? Aren't we just simply vain?! haha.. But I am soo enjoying myself wor!

After such a long hard day of shopping and shopping and more shopping, we decided to award ourselves with yummylicious food @ Secret Recipie. Gosh... the pricing there.. wah.. I can eat there every single day just on their cakes! The price is the SAME as SG. Just that it's in ringgint! So we are like eating at half price the whole time!! How cool is that!! We had such good food! Chicken kebab, penang something something, that looks like laksa but I think it's probably not coz it had a more fanciful name, drinks and topped it all up with their signature cakes!! All in all, it's only $60+ RM. Which is like $15 SGD! I swear I can eat it everyday at this kind pricing!
Then we slowly walked back to hotel lugging our purchases and happy and satisfied. Which also brings an end to our day 1 in KL. Abit sad that the time simply flew by soooo fast! I don't remember buying so much in 1 day in the previous 2 trips combined when I came with hubby. Goes to show 1 thing. Woman! We are darn good shoppers man! I lugged all these the whole day!

And since our energy level is still so high, we decided to end the day by taking shots of our hotel room. Hahaha.. Call us bo liao or watever but we were really still tooo high from retail therapy to rest! But we did treat our poor over worked feet to a hot feet bath the moment we reached the hotel. We simply let the water run, sat on the side of the bathtub and bathe our poor sore feet. Just to pamper them before we hit the streets again for round 2 when we wake up! Hahahahaha..

And tomorrow, it will be KLCC.

Back!

I think I caught the shopping bug =(

Just came back fm KL last nite and here I am thinking and planning where to go next to satisfy my shopping buggie.. heee... But I think hubby won't allow me to go lor. Already spent so much over the 3 days tat we were in KL.

I never never knew that when Trina and I goes shopping, we cld shopped for so long and never stop and just buy and buy and buy!!! Goodness. Just on a quick count, I spent like $1300 RM, inclusive of my credit card bills wich translates back to like $600 SGD? *faint* She also spent quite a bit I think was like $400++. Think we both went mad in Times Square and also in KLCC.

Though I have been there before, I don't remember spending so much when I was with hubby the last 2 times. But when I went there wif Trina... Hell broke loose.

Don't have my cam wire things now. Will upload some pictures when I get my hands on all the necessary item.

Really bought a whole bagful of things. GOodness. Luckily, Trina's parents came to pick us up from Golden Mile and we could come home comfortably. Hubby came to fetch me at the multi storey carpark to help me bring back the things home.

Tomorrow, this time, I will be eagerly waiting to rush home! To pack my bags and have dinner with hubby then outta SG wif Trina!

Hooray!!!

Within a few hours, Trina and I have seek the respective ppl (i.e. Hubby for my case, and daddy for her), applied leave, booked tickets and hotels and we are OFF to KL tomorrow night!

Yipee!!

Though I have been there a couple of times but it will be the 1st time that I go off with her and, somehow I still think go shopping with galfrieds are still better lor. haha..

We'll be putting up at Swiss Garden Hotel for 2 nights and then it's back home. Shd be fun. haha.

Hmmm... Since the main reason for her to go was to avoid Kel, hence the choop choop decision(s) and booking(s).

Hubby says abit ex for KL trip. But I thought it was quite ok lor. $146 and after the holiday claims, it's only $96 each. Of course I share out the costs wif Trina lar, so end up each of us only pay $96 for a 3D2N trip. I thought it's worth it definately!

The big day is finally here for Lynn and Max.

Early morning, Godma, hubby and me went dw to CTK to start off with the decor. Hot morning =( but the effect I think it looks good or at least I hope it is the way she wants it.

The bride looks gorgeous! B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!!

And tml is the wedding banquet at RTC for more meryy making. haha

Ready... 1,2, 3 ACTION!!

Lynn had her wedding rehearsal last night in CTK. I was there to help out and also to take note on what items she may need me to help. The rehearsal went pretty well I think and all things are in order for this Sat for the big big day.

Choir members are there, the fathers were there, all are in place in my opinion. =)

Buzz off! I'm in a horrendous mood!

I'm in a foul mood. So buzz off and leave me alone.

I want to cry my heart out and ignore the whole darn world. The world that I currently live with my hubby seems to be just closing in on me and leaving me with a vaccum that when I shout, no one seems to hear, when I cry, no one cares and even if I disappear fm the face of this earth, I think it is for the better.

I don't know if I have a language problem or I have a problem with the "man" of da house. He actually wrote in our blog that "maybe I need to speak in Malay so that he can understand" and worse "My nightmare starts from then".

Fine, if my coming home is such a nightmare, then please tell me again (and again) why we bought our unit? Which is not cheap by the way since it costs us a feaking 277K SGD!

I'm mad. I'm boiling mad! ARGG!!!

Was just looking at my calendar and then it hit me.

Lynn is getting married this coming Saturday! She did write in her blog that she's feeling nochalent about it. And reading it, it did remind me of the days and times that I went thru. =) The days of worring and tension and of course excitment!

We bought a gift for her for her special day with Max. But I cannot post up the item here.. coz I think she reads once a while.. haha.. so I shall only post up the wrapped package so.. in case we din write our big names, she can still recongise the packaging! haha.. and you know what? The wrapper that we specially bought is tooooo small!!! Damn! So got to find another wrapper for the gift instead. *sigh*

But to be honest, I remembered feeling quite relax about it. Must be coz I pushed all the duties and jobs to my trusted friends and jie meis so hubby and I were really really relaxed. Must've turned into bridezilla then w/o me even realising it.

Now as my friends seem to get married one by one but each time I witness each of them marching down the aisle and exchange their vows with their chosen ones I can't help but recall my own wedding. Though it happened quite sometime ago but I still remembered it.. as though it just happened yesterday.

I feel that marriage is just the begining of a new life. A life with the one I love and if it's possible, someone that will bear either mine or hubby's looks and heaven forbids... our negative traits too! *faint* Someone says.. a BB is the size of a cuddle. Shd be quite true I guess ba. haha.

I'm enjoying my married life, life with just hubby and it seems so peaceful even though we do have our arguements and disagreements at times but life with hubby is generally good and enjoyable.

Last night, I was looking thru the cards and well wishes that we got for our wedding. The well wishes that was written, the cards we received, gosh. It's so heart warming to read it all again. The thoughts, the wishes and also the effort spent in penning those words really really touch me even after so long. As I flipped thru the cards, once again, Monica's handmade card caught my eye. It's really a beautiful card...
Which reminds me... got to call Serene and make sure we will meet early to have ample time to settle the pre-wedding mass set ups.

Yeah!! Friday. My favourite day of the week! Coz it marks the end of the working week and next day is the start of weekend!! haha

Wah... spent a lot of $$ again..

Just out in town for a few hours wif hubby and we spent like $200++.. Gosh.. Bought loads of things though. Happy me! =)

Nothing much to blog about accept that had dinner at my mum's last nite and she made my least fav soup.. Cantonese call it the "Dai Kai Choy" soup.. which is actually some kinda veg, can be a bit bitter at times, hence I don't really like it.

Since hubby and I were rushing to CTK for the monthly OGF, we din stay long. And my mom wanted me to bring home a bag of fruits, asked her to bring to the bakery, will collect from her on our way home after class.

And she gave me a surprise. She said my oldest aunt bought me a bag. I thought it will be thsoe obiang ones and was quite skeptical about it but.. WAIT! not bad leh the bag.. her tastes has certainly improved. haha

Earlier this morning, cousin Alan sms me saying tat he will be in campus for today and tml so we made plans for lunch and woo hoo!! I can pass him the Lego that I bought for nephew Lucas for his 4th Bday! Surprisingly, he said he wanted Mac for lunchy so we went lor and needless to say, I got a free lunch.

Cousin mah, he's MALE, OLDER and earning MORE. So, no big problem at all right?! haha

He said something to me that I think I must really put more efforts into sourcing THAT degree for myself.

YaY!! Cakes to eat...

ALmost forgot that my colleague has sent me this via the internal mailing system. Can you guess from where?

Yep, if you noticed the little left hand corner, it says "Begawan Solo". Looks like they have changed their packaging. Their old 1 looks really O-B-I-A-N-G lor. Pinky and all. Anyway it's time to change their design once a while to make it "fresh" to consummers like us. haha

I quite like the new design on the card. V pretty and cheerful. Blue and pink.I thought they can further improve it if they could have like 2 colour theme. The blue one for BB boys and the pink for BB girls. Well... if it so happens that someone has a pair of twins then either colour or a mixture of colour lor! haha..

And guess what, now they have more than just the normal Walnut, Fruit or Marble cake etc. Now they have added in Lapis, Strawberry Light Cheese cake and even a Baby's Booties and Bubbly Teddy (whatever that is)! I'm begining to like Begawan Solo now.. haha

I used to find it soo boring esp when all the colleagues start giving you the vouchers after their BB is born. But with the new pretty card and also the new items. Hey! I'm not complaining!

penny worth of thoughts...

Rencently, I'm being bogged down by this question/offering by my organisation.

"Do you want to further yourself?"

*sigh* I also don't know how to answer them. I know that it is not everyday that I'm being offered to go and study. But the thing is, the dir has been asking me this question for the last couple of years.

I know that I should take it up. But the thing is, I am seriously not in the mood to study but I also know that if I do not keep upgrading, then I will be stagnant and won't be able to go for promotion nor any other thing else.

Yet, on the other hand if I do go for it, I know that I am gurateened of a job for the next couple of years (at least 5 years) and that once I have a degree to my name, even if I were to change job, it would be that slightly easier for me.

So.. what's holding me back?
1) I can only do the program PART TIME. Meaning I still got to work full time (to earn my living) and to study like 3, 4 evenings a week during week days OR the whole weekend for AT LEAST 2 YEARS!!! *think I will either do darn bad or will have to repeat each sem at least once!!*

2) Being bonded for the next 5 years after I graduate is not a problem for me. The only problem is the increase of the workload that I am fearful of.

3) Which also means, if I do take up the offer, I got to shelf our BB plans for another 3 years at least. Or to be exact, only can start our BB operation a year after I graduate. Coz I figured that my paying boss won't be too happy if I come back wif my degree and then proceed with a 3 mth maternity leave. -_-" But hubby is not too happy if we shelf it for too long. He's already excited to try to be a "Daddy" at the moment. To shelf it for 3 mre long years.. Think he will flip!

Yet, on the other hand.. If I do take up the offer... The plus would be
1) Sure of a better prospect in future. Maybe not a promotion to the "Mgr" level (as though I am dying for it?! *bleh*) but I know I will definately be a lecturer and therefore higher income and a better life for my future kiddies (should the Lord choose to bless us with) and then maybe I can have my 4 kiddies... 2 boys and 2 girls?

2) Be able to afford a more comfy standard living for my family.

3) Be part of the "norm" now that all is having a degree and I own 1 too. Tat will shut the rest of the ppl up!

4) I know, the bottom line is still for MY OWN BENEFIT, once I owned tat blessed piece of paper, it would be easier for me to change jobs and to 'demand' for a higher salary lor.

All in all, I know that it is for my own benefit that if I have a degree to my name. What's more, the co is willing to pay the FULL course fees for me and all I need to do is to get a PASS in everything that I am taking. Weather I get fanastic or just pass results is not impt. Coz what I need is JUST THAT PIECE OF BLESSED PAPER and even if I do not too well. The co can't do anything.. coz.. (they deserved it for 'forcing' me to go study) I'm being bonded for 5 darn long years, remember?!

But, having said all these... I am just not willing to go n study la.. *sigh* V happy with the kinda life I am leading now. Though I know that when my 1st BB comes, life may not be so comfy. So it's either I struggle now and then give my kiddies a better life lor.

I also know I cannot remained where I am forever coz I will be obselte. *Sigh* But having to push our BB plans for so long is really the main main main reason for me to think so darn hard.

Think if hubby is agreeable and I have his support not so bad lor.. But I also know... God meant for us in marriage for "intimacy" and "procreate!" These 2 are the main pilliars of marriage. W/o these 2... then...???

Need, no... it's desprately need God to show us some leeway to get round this. *sigh*

rainy afternoons

For some strange reasons, the rain will fall in the afternoons. Nothing particular u may say. BUT, this is the month of JUNE - the hottest hottest month(s) (followed by July, Aug and Sep) but this few weeks or rather days, we wake up to a cloudy and windy morning. =)

Then as the day draws nearer to afternoon, the sky turns dark and we don't even feel the afternoon heat as we normally do in the hot hot month of June. And suddenly, it simply pours!

Just like today. Afer mass in the morning, Emma, hubby and myself went to AMK S11 for lunch and just as we settle down comfortably for our lunchy, the sky turns darker and darker and w/o any warning... PATTER! PATTER!! PATTER!!! All the water, the rain and all tat falls fm the sky just FALL! Gosh.. But luckily, we were seated in the middle so no water cld touch us fm the sides.. but sucks, that place has a LOUSY drainage system. All the water pooled round our legs.. Thank God, I had the cow sense to wear sandals and also skirt. haha.. so my legs and hems of jeans were not wet at all! haha.. Poor Emma and hubby... wet hems.. haha..

Sat there for a long time, chatting and just laughing and enjoying each other's company. After a long long time, we decided to make a move (tat's coz the rain finally relented and let up too) and Emma went home, hubby and me walked rnd AMK. Din buy anything except wrappers @ 10 cents each!! Wah.. haha.. so I bought 5 pieces.

Then decided to go to J8 to collect my Evening Primrose fm GNC and also to get another set of the mattress protector and c if there's anything else lor.

I do like Sunday afternoons. Since from don't know when, after mass, the few of us will just go for lunch and then yak for a while. Following that, either hubby and me will go n do lesiure window shopping and then come home or we will go home straight. It makes me feel so good just to spend time wif friends yakking and laughing and also to enjoy their company! =)

Of course, if only there are 3 days of weekends instead of 2, Sat we will spend on housework and then Sunday in church and then with friends and last of all, the last day to rest and recover for the working week ahead! Wah!! Soooo good.. the best part is that there will only be 4 working days!! Hahahaha

Had a super super good lunchy at... Vienna International Seafood & Teppanyaki Buffet Restaurant

They have quite a good spread. Sashimi, BIG prawns, desserts, and also cooked food. But being me, I LOOOOOOVE sashimi so I went for that and also the desserts. Coz I was so lazy to shell the prawns, I din take much. Only had 2. But it was too cold.. so I din raelly like it also.

Lunchy wif boss, Sak, Steph and Paul was great! We really enjoyed the laughter and just get together.

And best of all, the lunch was free coz Sak and Steph got their 10 year award and they gave all of us a treat. =)

Darn! Office or Warehouse?!

Argg!! I hate it when all the vendors delivered the items to me and then I have no space to store them and I got to stack all the boxes and boxes of things in my poor pathetic office!

I got to live with the musty smell, the old cardboard amgonst all the inconvenience of shifting this and that in order to open a drawer or a door!! Argg!!!

And everyyear, I have the same darn problem of having NOWHERE to put these items! Basket! Does this look like an office???

And I really feel sooo bad to my roomate. He got to live with this mess that I have to live with too thru NO fault of his at all!!

ARGGG...

I don't just DOMINATE my shared office, I dominate the printing room too!!! these are the rest of all that cannot fit into the office.

Gosh!! Spent such a long time trying to get my pet up into the blog.. now it is ok.. but only if I view it with "firefox" if I view it with IE.. everything goes haywire! This is so irriating and I don't know how to resolve it! Argg!!!

It just occured to me that 2 of my close friends are plaqued with matters of the hearts problems.. actually to me it's more like crisis.. But to them.. I guess they wld be looking at it like a stand point or a cooling off period.

To a certain extent, both of their situations are same yet different. 1 dated a childish and immature (in my opinion)male while the other dated a too ego and fear of commitment male. Not sure if it is the deep down fear of committment that made these 2 males wat they are but definately they are the cause of my gal friend's sleeplessness nights and sighs that seem to escape them recently.

Both of the males cannot give the kinda security tat a female so desparately seeks. weather it is coz they themselves do not know or they simply am not concern or not bothered, I have no idea. All I know is that, to a certain extend, they both don't deserve girlfriends like my 2 galfriends.

I'm sure both males hold that something extra and special to be able to draw the hearts of the female but at this moment in time if they guys don't do anything soon, they may just loose them. Well.. maybe for 1 of them, it's already too late.

I would call a 3 mth not speaking and not contacting definately a cause of concern and cause of alarm.. but I never knew that my galfriend could be sooooo darn stubborn in NOT answering him, talking nor even picking up his call for 3 SOLID months! Gosh... And since they are so far apart, it really does not help at all.

The other guy is ego and scared of committment and in his words "does not want to be controlled" so that leaves the girl hanging somewhere in the air. Not able to come down nor able to float any higher. And, I find it so amazing that she can put all the blame on horoscopes.. I mean yar, a person can turn out to be this way or that way. And maybe certain traits are more prevalent in a certain horoscopes.. but then how? To put all the things that happen onto horoscopes? Quite rubbish lor.. I feel. Just coz the guy and me are same horoscopes (I swear, I gave up reading horoscopes after attending RCIA) I DO NOT believe in it anymore. God created us, so why should we relay on a paragraph to see how or wat we should be behaving?!

Some traits are just in born and takes time to change. He is who he is and for that, if she really wants to be with him then either he change or she learn to accept and live with it. But before anything else, both has got to reach a compromise somewhere, somehow, sometime.

What can I say? Nothing much. I can only be here to be the listening ear as and when they want to share things with me.

Women.. We just want to be told what's the future holds for us, (IF there is even a "US" in the future) listening to them, really brings back memories of how and what I had to go thru before hubby and me got married. Y must guys be so darn insenstitive and that they have to be told and pushed before they can switch from stand point to gear 1?

Hai.. having said all these, I'm still glad that though hubby is who and what he is. We don't have this kinda things happening on a frequent basiscs.

1st time

This evening was the 1st time that I cooked for my sister a chinese meal.

Earlier today, we were on MSN and she was sharing tat my mom is not preparing dinner so I invited her over to dinner since I'm gonna cook anyway. Surprisingly, she said ok. I din expect that though.

So after work rushed home to get started but rushed to Prime mart to get a can of button mushrooms coz I know I had run out of it at home. Spent quite a while thee just to choose a can of mushrooms! Gosh... almost all the tins were all dented! Took me a long time before I could choose 1 relatively in good condition.

Luckily, I still have eggs to make omalette with, together with the chicken, veg and soup (that I had already began boiling this morning) that I'm gonna prepare will be enough to feed all the 4 of us lor.

Supposed to have 4 ppl for dinner then just before I was gng to cook, my middle sis says not coming so left 3 of us. Just nice with the amt of food tat I was gng to place on the table lor. And thank God, she says not coming coz just as I was gng to wash rice, I realised ALL the rice was enough for the 3 of us only!! Thank God she says not coming but she want my youngest sis to tapow the soup for her to take back.

And the verdict? My sis says not bad.. haha.. so quite happy lor.. =) She did take home the soup and sme other disc to occupy her time now that it's the holidays.

Then after she left, hubby and me went downstairs to fly plane.. Chey... the plane cannot fly wan... well.. for $10.. can glide lor.. So hubby was quite disappointed.

More shopping =)

Need I say more? haha

Went shopping again after a GOOD buffect Dim Sum lunch at Harbour Front. Hubby brought me there coz he knows I love prawns and their prawns are really fresh and sweet! Yummy yummy!!!

After such a satisfying lunch, we did walk rnd Harbour Front for a while and hubby bought these for his plane we bought yesterday all these for only $2!! And hubby was sooo sad last nite coz we don't have 6 batteries at home for the plane. So to make sure, we have enough, there are 4 dozens here!!!

Took the MRT and went to Marina for our movie - XMen3! SInce we dropped at City Hall, we went to Robinsons 1st to visit Fancl house. And got more things.. *sigh* Just 3 itmes and it's $80.50!!! Argg But the good news is, there was a $5 voucher given to me coz I spent more than $50! Should have told me earlier and then I will top up my purchase to $100!

Not a bad movie for the effects though. But story line is quite typical of the good vs bad kinda show. Watch for the effects lor. And since soooo many ppl told us to stay thru to the end for some surprise, we did and the credit rolls was sooooooooo darn long. I kinda feel like an idiot. But now I am wondering if Singaporeans really soooo free or they want the air con coz they feel that they've paid for the show therefore stay till ALL is over? Whatever la... but I am not the kind tat will stay on for so long after the show lor.

Then walked rnd Marina, hubby desprately want to spend $50 to take part in the draw.. so we look for something to buy... But nothing leh..
So finally, we went to Suntec and finally made our purchase at Carefour. Then as we were discussing to take bus or to take MRT, we passed by Filas and saw that they have promotion. Buy 1 get 2 free. Haha.. weird promotion but then again... the buy 1 will costs $39.90 lor. So I understand liao. The polo tees were not bad and hubby went to try. Too bad don't have his size.. Was telling him nvm, we can go to J8 branch to take a look and the sales person said nearest branch is Marina... and off we troop back to Marina (after I persuaded Hubby). Actually spent sometime looking for it Filas.. But finally found it and then hubby bought 2 polo tee and a pair of bermudas. So all these at $39.90 and then we went round looking for something to buy at $10.10 so as to combine to $50!! Finally went into mini toons to get my landyards again and also some sweets lor.. tat costs $10.90 so finally can take part in the draw lor. *whew* think Hubby is 1 happy man now. So, now we got to find the info counter to look for the lucky draw tickets.. and on the way, we pass by GNC. Have been thinking about their Evening Primerose oil coz it's 2 for the price of 1!! And since Marina has the draw, heck.. go ahead to get it lar! So my purchase at GNC includes the primerose oil and a bottle of honey + a FOC cucumber extract moisturizer amouting to $100.90!!! Argg... They only have 1 bottle left so I will be collecting the other bottle at J8 when the stock comes in. =)

So all in all, we spent more than $150... and we charged to citibank, so our chances are doubled lor.

Finally collected all the things and on the way home/dinner.. Was craving for the garlic chicken chop Amanda has yesterday at S11... was tempted to go there.. but after getting on 162, we were so tired, forget it, we went home and just have dinner at the nearby coffeeshop. Hubby bump into his friend there and he chatted with him for a while too. =)

Finally! GSS

Actually, GSS has started for more than a week and yet, I have not gotten anything interesting at all for myself or for my hse. But LOOK at our purchases for today alone!!!

So.. today, after 2 super hot days at home, we decided to hang in town, at least the air-con is FOC even if we have to battle it out with the crowds! It's still worth it.

SO after mass, we had lunch at AMK S11 with some friends then it's off to town we go. =) Hubby needs to collect some itmes at Specialist Centre. NOT mine ok, ALL hubby's!
So we went there 1st, dropped by John Little. So boring, soooo auntie and the air con seems to be not working. Nothing to buy. So we went to Robinsons instead. Once we went in.. wah... Cool air greeted us. GOOD! More expensive place tat's y the air also cooler. Went to the household and believe me, we spent at least 2 hours lingering at the linen and bedsheets. And wat did we get?? A fitted sheet set + 2 pillow cases.. (can't get a good pic here, coz my sucky HP cam din manage to get it) which costs us $$119!! I can't believe it.. Darn ex.. but the material is good. Hope it is really soooo good. *sigh* We hv a problem wif out mattress coz it's sooo thick tat we simply cannot find any to fit it. With this new 1.. hopefully it will. The colour is supposed to be green but my sucky cam... hai..

In addition to the fitted sheet, and have enough of those cheap covers that we owned that always seem to fall apart after washing, I manage to cajole hubby to buy 4 brand new cushion covers for our sofa.. Hopefully, these will be of better material and quality tat the edges won't frayed nor the stiches start coming out after a few wash! These are not cheap ok! A single piece of the "Golden Yellow" costs $13 while the other piece is $12+!! Basket, so expensive! Like these 4 pieces it's another $$50+ gone!! Seesh...

Also went to Marks and Spencer and bought these for myself.. *blush* Well, they were on sale and Emma highly recommended them. So how could I refuse? *hiak*hiak*

And after these alone.. we were hungry and tired. Went to the food court behind OG point to grab a bite. I was craving for the Thai food and since hubby have no where better to suggest going, we went there lor. Nice food, not that packed and we were able to sit down (after such a long day) to rest and enjoy and yak. Seems like yesterday that hubby was telling me abt his family and though we had this conversation many many times, we still enjoy telling each other about our relatives and cousins again and again. And after a good rest, the nearest place to go will be to OG lor. Haha...

Good choice that we went in leh, hubby manage to get a pair of jeans! Though he did go in and out of the fitting room many times, he finally decided to get this and also, it fits him lor. haha.. Now, my FIL don't have to nag us tat GSS is here, go get a pair of pants! haha.. Got a voucher to purchase a shirt at $28. But, yeeks! Those shirts are sooooooooo Uncle. Din get any. Went up stairs to the toys department and I don't know wat's with hubby these days. (Must be his colleagues, I supposed) He's so interested and excited about planes. But knowing hubby, too ex he won't buy la.. And we saw this . Hubby was elacted! He was like a boy having Christmas early. Stood there for a long time, all the time telling me abt the plane. Then we moved on to cars and BACK to the plane again! And since he was eying planes for such a long time, and it was only $10 so we got it as well. His face literally LIT up!

So after all the buying spree, this time, we ARE really tired. We were wondering to take MRT or take bus back.. then we decided to take a slow walk to Scotts to catch 54. But before that, we will drop by Delifrance to spend the last of our $10 voucher on cuppa.

Dang dang tang dang!

Attended the wedding mass this morning. Thank God, Debraoh came to fetch us at our hse to go to SFX for the mass. After we reached the church, gosh.. it's soooooo deep far in, if hubby and me were supposed to come for the wedding ourselves, think we will not come lor. haha..

Nice church. Big and pretty. Bride.. ok lar.. groom also ok lor. haha.. Had lunch wif the few of the RCIA ppl and also Fr Yim. Then we are on our way back home again in Debra's car.

Once we reached home, changed out then we start to do some chores, vaccumm, mopping and also washing of the clothes. Coz I was thinking since the sun is soooo strong and hot, great to sun our clothes and that leaves us free tomorrow! =)

But rather tiring to do everything lor. haha.. finally settled down to wach more VCD and for dinner, I was too lazy to cook, we tapow from the coffee shop while still glued to the TV.. this time watching XMen.

well, nothing much to blog about except that I'm still on MC and lazy hubby took today off claiming to spend time with me. ha!

More likely, he just can't bear the thought that he has to wake up early to go to work while I can sleep in! So we both stayed home.

IT'S SUCH A SUPER HOT DAY!! Gosh.. cannot take it.

Even when the windows, fans and doors are wide open, we are still hot! hOt!! HOT!!! Spent the good deal of the day watching my VCD. Not bad the show. But a tad "too good to be true" in my opinion.

Despite my MC status, I still managed to cook porridge for lunch and make pasta with potatoe salad and green salad for dinner.

Had already been under the weather since yesterday morning. But coz there is a school visit coming in the afternoon, I decided to hold off gng to the doc till today. Also.. like this can hopefully get 2 days MC. Then can get long weekend, some mre, I have already told Chua BK that I'm taking 5 Jun (coming Monday) off in lieu of the polling day on 6 May. =) Hmm... come to think of it, think I forget to tell my SEG(M) boss. Nvm, tml sms him.

And when I went to the Doc this morning, she really gave me 2 days of MC! I realldon't know to be happy or to be sad. Haha.. yar, getting 2 days of MC is great! But JUST coming back to SEG and sick... think not so good lor. But doc did say that, alot of ppl down wif sore throat, flu and cough. Cause of this? Air born. Chey! By saying that means, cannot prevent lor.

I think the doctors are earing alot these days. By the time I reached the clinic at 8.20 am (latest) I was already the 8th in queue!! Gosh.. There are just so many sick cats now. And the doctors themselves din even come in till close to 9 am! Gosh, waited for 30 mins before the doc comes and another 15,20 mins before it's my turn. Just that few mintues wif her and I am poorer by $35! Gosh.. Definately NOT cheap. But then again, after claiming $10 fm co, it's only $25 and for such a SUPER LONG weekend, I'd say it is WORTH it lor. haha.. Receipt for me to claim the miserable $10 and the precious MC for today and tomorrow. =)

Then went to the market and did my marketing for next week coz I think this weekend no time to do it, with a morning wedding mass on Sat and regular mass on Sunday and since I was already at the market, decided to go and do it on the way home. Just the regular meat and veg already costs $16.. Goodness.. And I din even buy seafood nor fruits! Hai.. things are expensive. Bought some bread and also a can of Tou Hua with soya beans for me to fill my stomach before eating the medication.

After that, then prepared to go to SA to meet Godma and bro for lunch for a belated birthday celebration. Went to Hans in Thomson Plaze. Not sure if it is I lost my sense of taste of if the food is really getting bad. My Grilled Fish Dory is really quite bland and yucks.. OILY. Bleh!!! The soup was not too bad bit the garlic toasts...another BLEH! Coffee was too swt too. And as usual, after lunch, we will sit there and yak lor. Till it's almost time, bro sent us all back to Godma's office in SA and we yakked some mre. Haha.. Stayed there for an hour or so, and when we heard the thunder outside, we decided to scot as I still need to go to J8 to get somethings. Luckily, bro passed by J8 on his way back to office, so he was able to get me a lift there.

First and moremost, a visit to the Ladies.. haha.. coz sore throat mar, drank lotsa water, then after tat to the GV to get tickets for our pre-agreed movie treat. We're gng to watch X-Men3: The Last Stand in Marina coming Monday! Hope it will be nice!

Then went to Poh Kim and Fancl, bought a whole load of things..
Does'nt look much right? heehee... But coz all the pics were taken with my sucky HP camera, can't really see wat I bought right? Well, here comes the list:
1) A box of VCD: "Devil by my side" (Highly recommended by Godma)
2) Fancl items... inclusive of tonner, make up base, eye gel and supplements for more moisture for skin.
That's all I bought and the whopping costs is $176.90!!! Goodness!
And I also bought a lanyard for myself coz we were given the thumbdrive but I need a string if not, may just loose it easily. But u know wat happened?? I threw the landyard AWAY!! *SHIT* Coz I left it in another plastic bag and I accidentally throw it away! SUCKS!!! And it costs me $4.95!! Sad sia..

Hai... but before I left J8, I went to GNC to pick up my membership card. I thought it doesn't look too bad.

Finally, after all the errands and purchases it's time to head home, by now, I am already experiencing a giddy spell (cld be the med tat is supposed to be drownsy) and in a terriable need of water. Luckily stopped raining and my bus came pretty fast too! Was home in less than 10 mins. Took my shower and then settle down to watch my new box of VCD, munch on bread and took the 2nd dosage of medicine. As I was watching the show, I did my nails with the new polish I got from TheFaceShop. Colour is quite nice.. but somehow... on my fingers... it does not look good at all!! I decided that 1 of these days, I will go and get that purple 1 I was eyeing. verdict: Nah!! Not nice :( After finishing the 2 disc, I dozed for a while and then got ready to go to my parents' plc for dinner. Usual, simple fare, nothing much.

And as hubby and I come home, guess what was in store for me in the letterbox?
A "package" fm TCC, my guess is tat it's either the membership card or some kinda promotions they having.
And true to my guess, it's THE membership card. Just in 1 day, I got 2 cards! Got to find a place in my card holder for them soon. membership card fm TCC looks exactly like their temp card! Only the material is different.

Now, though it's already 11pm+, I'm still quite awake... the drowsy med don't seem to be that sleepy after all. Or maybe, I am kan cheong to watch the "Devil" drama?? Anway... hubby has been walking over to my side pretty often.. think I will go sleep after all.. since I am supposed to be on MC.. So it's good to equip my body with lotsa rest for it to heal.

Without realising it, this is my 200th post! Woah.. Quite something I think. haha.

A few days ago.. the co gave us each a new toy to play with... weather it's for us to play with or to make us work harder, I don't know. But the sucks part is, this little guy here is on loan to us only hor!

Had been so busy with school visits day in day out. Finally this is the last day of the school visits for this month! Anyway, today is the last day of the month of May. But at least come June, it is the school holidays there won't be any of this kinda visits anymore till later part of the year. But sometimes, JUST sometimes, when the teachers or students sincerely show their appreciaation for the effort that we have put in for them, then I do feel that my time and energy spent is not so wasted after all. Like take this case, this.. the teacher who pushed so hard to organised this din even turn up! And just left 6 BO CHAP teachers with 240 SEC 2 kiddies with us! I was sooooo darn pissed I tell you. And to make matters worse, we had another school coming in on the same day but at a different timing.

It would definately make me feel much better if the teacher showed that she appreiciates! Gosh.. These teachers simply treat us as their dumping ground! Just give us those that they want out of school into here and we BB-sit the kiddies. Think also angry.

Today is also another classic case. The teacher called and says 80 students coming. After I checked asking her, sure, during holidays? She said yes, coz careers day, sure to come back.. then a wk ago called.. NO, emaaile me to say reduce to 25!! What the ****! Treat us as what? We got to waste manpower and things to c them also leh. Sme mre this school is not our neighbourhood school all the way in the East!! I told her, not possible for such a small group. She called back and says 60. AND, the final figure? 31! Basket!! Really darn pissed!!!

(And it doesn't help that Sak is on MC and I am under the weather, and who came to save the day?! PAUL TAN!!!) Gosh... I could go on and on bitching abt how these horrible teachers and schools make me feel.

It's either I need a change of environment or I am really really really pissed!!

moi, THE complaint queen

Feeling like a god damn complain queen this morning!

First I had to call up SINGTEL to tell them (again!) to cancel the Open Mobile thingy which I have called up months ago to cancel and when I receive my bills they are still charging me!! Pissed! They don't understand the meaning of "CANCEL"???

Next, I had to call up the Shirley of Town Council! I don't know what's wrong with either the sweepers or myself. There's alwasy uncleared rubbish at the corridor at ny doorstep. The sweepers are supposed to sweep the floor on alternate days! Then wat's with the soft drink can outside my unit for a week??!

Basket. Gets me into a foul mood!!!

N i'm not feeling in the best of health. My sore throat is worse now. Cld not sleep last nite, actually my sore throat was worst at night. When I'm in office now, it's better! strange huh? But starting to have abit of runny nose. *sigh*

Gosh!!! This is crazy. Either the shoes quality are darn lousy or that I really did LOTS of walking!

Would you believe it? I spoilt my shoes again. THIS is gonna be a record, 2 pairs of shoes spoilt 1 day after the other!! Same brand, same model just different colours!!

ARGG!!! Now I don't have a black covered toes flats!!

hmmm... But on 2nd thoughts, I think this pair of shoes already showed signs of 'tiredness' I think I saw the sole opening up some time ago but I din really pay attention to it.. So all in all.. This pair of shoes lasted me for close to 4 months. I guess, I got to be thankful for it.. after all, this pair of shoes was like less than $18!!

hurmpf!

Early this morning, I had to wake up earlier than usual coz I was going to prepare the soup for dinner.

Well, we are going to have chinese corn soup tonite =) so had to wake up earlier to prepare the veg and meat and throw all into the slow cooker. And by the time we go home tonite, we have a pot of hot steaming corn soup.

Then all I need to do is just fry the french beans and the chicken wing, cook rice and we can settle down to dinner.

All seems well yeah? Only thing is, this morning, I missed saying bye to hubby. =(
and I broke my pair of shoes, a pair that I've NEVER EVER worn before!! Sucks!!!

Yet... another wedding invite

Ok.. Well, we've been expecting this.. how not to when we are already given the roles and duties and I have even bought my clothes for the wedding? haha.. don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining rather ALL geared up and excited over her wedding. =)

Well.. here's how the card looks like.

Lynn designed the church invite herself and it was all done in colours. Quite pretty I must say. Though her pic seems abit of low res. Hurmph.. Must be I don't know how to appreciate coz she's a DESIGNER, she of course will know how to straighten it out.






Her invite is quite nice. But the envelope is the ugly thin PINK envelopes. Not very nice, thought it spoils the whole invite theme.


After looking at the church invite, I think I know why, the jie mei's choose "Lavender" at first. haha..

rants and raves

I don't have the habbit of penning things if hubby just irriates or upsets me slightly. I mean.. I only do that if we have a major arguement and I am darn pissed. After releasing it here, I feel so much better. As if there is really some1 who is listening. (Girls just need to be listened to) If I don't do that, then my life here is really gonna be M-I-S-E-R-A-B-L-E isn't it?

I just remembered somethings that happened on Thurs early morning. Wed nite, I went for kickbox and I was really tired out and thus I went to bed earlier than hubby. Hubby was still watching TV programmes and eating some of the snacks that I brought home fm office. Shortly after, he came into the bedroom and went to sleep too.. By then, I was already half asleep.

And all too soon, the alarm went off, coz I had a school visit early tat morning, I woke up earlier than usual. Took my shower, then as usual, went to the kitchen for water etc. Then I realised, hubby forgot to off the ceiling fan from the nite before the moment I turned out of the room. Imagine the amt of electcity that is wasted? *sigh*

Then went to the kitchen and then I saw the plastic bag containing the snacks was left on the sink. Inside, still got 1 mre piece. *sigh*sigh* Why din he throw or keep? I was already getting abit pissed.. but then again, I reminded myself what Fr Robert told me during confession.. so I try to remain calm.

Went back into the bedroom with a big urge to shout and scream at hubby but he was sleeping.. so I kept telling myself.. cool down, cool down.. Early in the morning, shout at him not good. And I convinced myself that no husbands would like to wake up to a screaming wife! So I took it down with me.. Like a good wife should know when to say certain things. AND I AM convinced (by myself) that, THAT moment was not a good time!

So, surprisingly, I manage to calm down and went on my biz lor. Just as I was getting ready to go out, I even went to kiss hubby 'bye' and tell him "I Love U" before I left.

But! the moment I opened the door, I could feel my anger all coming back up!! COZ he din lock the gate!! Goodness!!! Not the 1st time it happened. AND I was trying sooooo hard to keep my cool.

Sometimes, I feel tat God is like trying to test me.. Here I am trying my very best.. and hubby got to do not 1 thing, not 2 things but 3 things that irriated me!! Gosh!!!

Either coz I was running late to work or the Holy Spirit is within me, I kept quiet and just went off to work. I din say a single word to anyone, not even to Godma nor Bro nor Trina. Later in the day till I saw hubby online then I told him. He apologiesed and though I was alittle upset. I let it go... and tat's all to it.

But last nite.. we went for the Accession Mass, I was just telling God that, I feel I did well on that day and that after we reached home, he got to irriate me with small things again. As I was taking off my accessories, he kicked me.. he claims to be accidental. But still! Painful lor. And he was laffing so hard when he apologise. Don't sound sincere to me at all lor.

Then he got to irriate me with the clothings hanging to dry let the water drip all over the floor.. and I almost slipped!

Then this morning, I noticed he din hang the clothes proberly.. so when the clothes are dried, they will be creased.

*sigh*sigh*sigh* I know all these are small things, but it's also these small things that get 1 down isn't it?

Getting married and staying married is 2 different story. Not easy. =(

Tempations are simply too great to resists! Especially when ur dear friend offers to come all the way to your workplace to pick you up, send you home all the way to your doorstep and a willing colleague to cover your whereabouts!! haha...

Decided to go off fm work again to meet Trina and go shopping. =) I know this is very bad.. but shopping is such a big puling factor!!

And this time, I was on a quest for the M)phosis little hand held black/white lacy sexy bag that I saw in Robinsons with Trina the other day.

Basket!!! Should have bought it tat day when I was with her. She already specifically told me to get both. But *sigh* I thought it was a waste of $ to get 2 bags at the same time.. so I decided to go for the silver handbag instead of both. And when I went to Taka to get it earlier.. *sigh* NO discount at all!! I got to pay the full price for it!! Basket!! Really regretted not listening to her... *sigh*

Bu then again.. she says since I really like it then ok lor.. Yar, I know I really like it.. but still abit of waste $ lor. BUT, I still GOT it.

And coz I paid the full price, they gave me their signature nylon bag.

So in total, I spent $39.90 for both purchases. Sucks.. still regretting it! Should hv gotton it the 1s time I saw it.. and there was at 30% discount tagged to it.. which means I could have gotton the tisse and purse cover at less than $39.90 (which was what I paid for today!!!) *Double sucks*

Since, we were in the area, we dropped by Fancl House. I do need to get my Fancl itmes but they were not on sale. But the lady gave me their promotions for the month of June.. Took a quick look and VOLIA! Have found the items that I need and best part? They are having promotion on those items!
