more enticing??

Hubby just called BIL and found the name of the resort or rather chalet that we will be staying IF we go Bintan.

Looks good? Pic taken fm http://www.bintanlagoon.com/main.asp Does this makes it more appealling for us to go leh? Actually, I am sounding like a spolit brat lor! No need to pay and still sit here and say so many things. I know that it is a good gesture of him to invite us to go with them, he DON'T HAVE to invite us to go with them lor. And still just sit on my ass and make sooo much noise!

Checked through the webby and realised that the villa is quite big. With 4 or 5 bedrooms amgonst other facilities. But, there are only 2 double rooms leh. Meaning, my PIL sure will take a room for themselves.. and I assume my BIL with his gf will take the other double room. So, hubby and me got to slp in a twin room? And sleep on separate beds ar? Abit hard to come to terms with it now coz hm... either it's we still new in our marriage, so I kinda mind that we not on the same bed. Or it's that I kind got used to sleeping next to hubby lor.

So how? The villa looks appealing enough leh.. hm....

*Note: Hubby actually says he will call BIL and reserve a double room for us.. haha.. kinda pai sey right? After all, the booking is in his name and we still have so many things to say?!

sad case.

Went for my monthly facial treatment last nite and then my beautician was chatting to me. More like, she was talking away and I just listened and made some unidentified sounds while the mask was on my face.

She was sharing with me how unhappy she is. Of course, she has shared this with me for a couple of times but I have always just listen with a pinch of salt when she shares abt it.

I know that she is having some problems at home, being a China national does not help her esp when she is not highly educated and cacme here to be a beautician. Marrying a local here does not help in this case coz of PIL. MIL is not fm hell, but more like, v bo chap. Hubby is someone who does not bother to work and don't bother. FIL is like the son, so I guess, the son takes after the father and the mom is highly disappointed. Thus resulting in all these?

Her parents came over from China, and the hubby din bother to even bring them out for a dinner.

The most recent was that the husband raised his hands on her and she moved out.

I kinda feel sorry for her, leaving her own country to come here to work hoping to settle down and then having to live with a uncaring husband and to a certain extent, problems with PIL. I am not sure how true her life story is, but then again, if all is true, then it's really a very sad thing for her to go thru.

Which just brings to mind, the chinese verse, "a woman is most afraid of marrying the wrong man."

I'm still taking her story with a pinch of salt, but then again, when things like this happens, I guess, it's still human compassion to feel sorry for the other person?

Things get out of hand coz we allow it too and sometimes, we can put a stop to it. Sound's so much like another blogger, Iris, who moved out and away from an abusive marriage.

Shoud go not?

Older BIL says he will be booking a chalet (hmm.. or is it a resort?) in Bintan sometime in Aug. Exact dates is from 2 Aug to 4 Aug. And he has also kindly extend the invitation to hubby ane me.

I think it is a good time to get together and all, time spent wif the family and all those things, but I am in 2 minds about going. Well, coz it's on weekdays and thus, means I got to take like 2,3 days of leave. Also, he is (rather, I guess, he is) wanting to introduce his new gf to the parents and then at the same time us as well. Lastly, I heard that in Bintan, they use SGD. Which means, things may be expensive.

So how? Go or don't go?

And also on the 2 Aug, I have another visit by Cheena ppl this time, tie up with a local school. N boss says must do. So if we go, we will go on the 8 pm ferry. Of course, hubby will wait for me before he takes the ferry to Bintan, I am absoultely sure that hubby will not go off first and leave me along in SG to make my way across that ferry to reach Bintan.

Yet, on the other hand, it is a good chance for us to go to Bintan coz accomdation is all paid for, we just need to pay for our own ferry which will costs less than a hundred bucks for the both of us.

Also, finally get to meet the new gf. Get to see my PIL's reaction to her.

BUT, are all these worth my 2 precious days of leave???

Just in time!

Thank God for blogs. Thank God for good friends!

Hubby and me were caution in the nick of time by our dear friend, Lynn for the makerover by "Naughty by Nature" studio.

She was on msn with me and then cautioned me coz she got a similar call as well and minutes later, her colleagues got it too, does not seem like a gift from 'lucky draw' then!

So I went to do an online search and manage to find a forum about this studio, but sucks, my co banned it coz of the firewall so I asked hubby to read it and see what it says...

Below, is the extract posted by 1 of the people who fell for it and wrote to caution the rest of the world. People like MOI!

"Was dragged by my wife to a makeover photo shoot last Sunday after she got a call from a photo studio saying the photo shoot is free. Please be warned that this photo studio functions like one of those time-share companies. Yes the photo shoot is free, but after the session, they want you to sign up for a package that cost more than $2k, else you can only select two free photos from the many shot
if you love those who love you, what recompense will you have says:
If you don’t sign up for their package, they will delete all your photos taken (besides the two you selected) right in front of your eyes! Even if you offer to buy additional photos from them, they will refuse and insist you either buy the whole package or choose only two free photos. Imagine spending 4 hours of your time with them and having all your photos deleted right before your eyes after your eyes after you refuse to by their package.

So people beware when you got a call from a tele-marketer telling you they offer you a free makeover photo shoot. This photo studio got your contact information from others who have signed up for the package. They will tell those who have signed up to recommend other friends or relatives and in return, those who recommend others receive some form of return, those who recommend others receive some form of cash back.

The photo studio is located near Clark Quay."
I want to give credit to the person who wrote this but unfortunetly, I have no idea who. All I can say, it's some poor soul who got cheated of their precious time on Sunday!

Wah!! Thank God for forums too! V blessed that Lynn cautioned me in time and I had internet access and Thank God for ppl who are not afraid to write it out!

So, conclusion? We are going home for dinner!

I'm excited =)

I'm getting excited for tonite. =)

Having a free makeover with hubby at this place called "Naughty by Nature". Update more after I am done with it later.

So which means I am giving kickbox a miss tonite. Sometimes, I do feel abit of guilt if I don't go lor. But then again... Joelle not going, I also don't really feel like going lor.

Then since my trip back from KL, I'm like wearing either a new top or a new bottom. Bottom line? I have something new to wear to work daily! =)

And the best part, coz of another China students visit, I got a praise, 1 of the teachers say I very pretty! *beam*

Was reading hubby's and my blog, am surprised that he mention the 'meeting needs' of each other. I thought that night when I was telling him, he was only pretending to listen. But, he WAS really listening! He heard me. ha. ha. ha.

narrow escape!

Woo hoo! I escaped from a last min visit scheduled for tomorrow! Y?! Coz I am away on course tomorrow! =)

At first, I was still going sucks, y my course postponed to tomorrow but then this morning when the dy dir asked me to go to his office for the visit, I was like, ok. And in my brain I was thinking of all the negative things that could be happening lor. And then I found out it's a last min visit by cheena students.

There I was doing my job and saying yar, I can handle this and that then slowly digesting the infor and info that I need to work on when WHAM!!! It occur to me that I'm on course!!

Hooray!! Yippee!! No need to do work liao!

Hahaha.. I'm 1 happy girl now!

Weekend troubling thoughts...

I really do love weekends, don't u? Except for the cooking, cleaning and marketing, I have absoultely nothing to complain abt weekends at all! Just plenty of lazing around at home, watching TV and doing absoutely nothing. I just sooo love it.

Besides watching the 3rd/4th placing of soccer 2006 till the wee hours of this morning, nothing very exciting leh.

The next most exciting will probably be the trip that hubby and me are going lor. But tat's still another 2,3 months down the road.

Kinda of a long wait for me leh. I just want to go and relax. *sigh*

Another heavy thing on my mind is actually the study thingy. This issue is still weighing on my mind since that very day tat I was summoned to Dir's office. So what are the cause of actions I have taken from tat day till now?

Not a lot I must say, I only went to find out some of the courses that I am more interested in then look thru webby and things like that. Has gone to "SMA", a private commercial schools doing programs from Uni of Murdoch, somehow I just have a feeling that my co won't be too happy abt private schools so I called the HR mgr. And true to my suscipions, I WAS right! She said, they prefer, local uni's. That will be NTU, NUS, SMU as first choice. If not then open uni, and that will be SIM.

Since I know for sure, that I cannot go into the first choice schools, my choice will only be SIM now lor. Coz Dir has also said that he is not willing to sponsor full time, so SIM is my best proposal for him since he keeps bothering me to study.

The next thing, after I have reached this conclusion, is HOW to go about telling Chua BK and the Dir. *Sigh* THIS is the issue that is bothering me these few days since I already have my choices there.

Now, I don't know if I want them to say "yes" or to say "no" to me leh. SERIOUSLY, I really really don't know. As said, I know it is good but I'm sooo afraid that I cannot manage and fail all of them.

Backtrack to Fri, the last few mins before I left office, Cindy msn me. It came as a surprise to me coz though I c her daily in MSN, we don't usually chat. The conversation went something like this...
Cindy: Yo! I heard u are not joining RCIA as sponsor anymore?
Me: Hi! Ya. I quit after the last process.
Cindy: huh?? Y? I'm singing tonite for the opening, was so hoping to talk to u and ur hubby.
Me: We felt tat we not spritually strong enough to lead the enquirers and also, we are embarking on a study program, worried that we don't have time for all these.
Cindy: Huh? How can you judge yourself when no one is judging you? But I get what u mean, I'm also afraid of the time committment.
Me:*totally stumpped for words & desprately thinking if my maker is trying to tell me something at this point of time.*

.
.
.
.

I'm serious leh, I am really thinking if my maker is trying to say something, except that I still din quite get it. Really not leading a prayerful enough life.

Hubby says I'm thinking too much but I feel otherwise, coz y else wld Cindy be saying these to me on FRIDAY nights of all nights?

But anyway, it is too late to go into RCIA already, Fr Yim demands strict training, discipline and attendance for ALL the sponsors. But I still feel that I am not spritual enough. According to hubby, the 1st nite was good. Hubby went as a companion to his younger bro. =) Very well organised and the rules and guidelines were given to all and made clear then. Good! GOOD!! I personally feel that it is better.

Anyway... so for the weekend that is slowly slipping me by, my thoughts are troubled with wat Cindy msn me all of a sudden, my bro in law in RCIA, hubby's studies and my HOW TO open my mouth to ask boss.

I must be too free!

I think I am too free. Too much time on hands that I have no idea what to do with it. Hahaha..

Coz this is the 3rd entry in the same day. Ok I know the time and date won't show the same but then to me coz I have not gone to sleep therefore ending the day, it is still be considered as the SAME day.

I went for a haircut.

At the "Number 1" salon in Bishan near J8. Quite steep lor I feel, $28 just wash, blow and cut but her style of cutting modern and nice.

Now I have no mre long long tail on the left. Instead I have 2 tails! whahahaha... Think of the letter 'n' and that's how it's appearing on my neck. For some strange reasons, remind me of the geisha show, where they (geishas) paint their neck and face chalk white except for that "fork' at the back of the neck.

Showed my mom my new hair and needless to say, she say ugly lor. She forever 1 lar, whenever I cut hair, she cfm say ugly. So what's new?

Anyway, say hello to me NEW me! *wink*wink*

I'm in love...

I'm in Love.. so so so in Love!!

The cause of my affections goes to this fanastic, little brand spelt as F-A-N-C-L!!

I did it again, I went there last nite, just before I went for kickbox and I spent another small bomb. Goodness, I know I should not have spent soo much, but the products work for me and I simply L-O-V-E it!! But, this time round, I went with the FULL support of my dearest hubby leh. So I did not, I repeat, DID NOT, go sneakily and try to hide hide here hide hide there ok! Whahahaha..

And I almost bought a truckload of items if 1)I think I can carry it all back. 2) Hubby to give up his wardrobe space for my items and 3)If I have mre dough! (Why is this always the bottom line?!)

I swear, all I wanted to get was JUST the washing powder, a powder puff AND the mild cleansing oil. looks alot isn't it? Coz there are freebies with the purhcase of these 3 items. But the sales girl said, with $20 more, I can get another $5 voucher. Cos it's $5 voucher for every $50. So I got a hand veil since I have run out of hand cream in office. Actually, still have lar, still have 2 tubes of hand cream from body shop, but I just like to get more and store can?! BTW, did you notice the pink ball at the side? I like the colour very muchie! Though, I have concluded that, I don't look good in pink but I can still like the colour pink and my things in pink right? Just so long that I AM NOT WEARING it lor..

Then being a member of Fancl, they sent me a postcard, that if I buy the Perfect Whittening Kit which costs $80, I get a tiny mild cleansing oil free. Now, being such a loyal supporter, I cannot let that chance pass me by right? =)Doesn't the box look pretty?Oh. BTW, I exchanged my previous Fancl stamp reward card to the vouchers, so this set is kinda like FOC but coz of the postcard, I hv the extra cleansing oil free lor. the advertpicture courtesy of Fancl.
I thought for a long time before I decided to go ahead and get this set, w/o the white advance pills, coz I feel that swolling pills v troublesome. Must remember to do so and then got to keep eating. I'm already using the white essence and it costs $28.50 per bottle, there's 2 bottles in this kit! The UV sun block which I am dying to try costs $44.50 for 60ml retail, in the kit, it's 30ml so I take it as $20 which is already close to $80! And still, there is the mask, so all in all, I belive this set is worth it and I'm gonna be a fairer lady in weeks to come! And, YES, I DO, DO, DO believe that these bottles are going to be of miraclious aid in my quest to be prettier and fairer! So stop saying otherwise!

All these, costs me $166.50 (I think, receipt at home) but after the vouchers, I got to top up $88.50 for ALL the items u saw. Good right? I Love Fancl. I simply soooo adore them! Especially when they have promotions of the items that I am using, thus will buy!! Hahaha..

I think to date, I have lots of their free gifts, all the small and compact bottles of washing powder, tonner and moisturizer, which are just soooooo convenient when I pack them to go away for a few days. =)

I'm like their spokesperson for it too, you know, I was the one who introduce Joelle to Fancl products and even gave away 1 whole starter kit (free gift again) to her for her to try leh!

Fancl SHOULD start endorsing me, man!

I'm ready to face U now!

All right, finally, I have settled down and worked out what's on my mind the last couple of days. I finally plucked up enough courage to write down, spit out and to FACE you now!

I'm gonna face you now, once and for all and NOT hidding behind anything anymore. I'm gonna say...

"I spent a total of $1580.74 RM!"

There! I said it out. I made know the exact amount that I have spent in a 3 day trip wif Trina in KL. This amount works out to be $690.28 SGD or therabouts. Out of which I only need to settle $435 SGD sometime next month? Haha.. The beauty of credit cards. ;)

I know I have lots of pics of what I purchased over the 3 days but it gets kinda confusing and I also did not specifically say for who right? Well, allow me to do a little summary then. =)

The pressies goes to....*drumroll*...

my nephew, Lucas:
a stripey T-shirt

his younger bro, Ryan:
a stripey T-shirt (yes, same design) + a demin overall (coz it's his Bday in Sep!)

my 2nd sis, Shan:
1 T-shirt (actually was meant for myself, but then I kinda fell bad, coz din get her anything, so gave it to her instead. Anyway, that Tee wasn't very me lah. Hiak!Hiak!) But I swear, when I first saw that Tee, it reminds me of her already, it's very 'her' lor. I bought it in MY size (even though my sis is smaller) coz I was thinking, if she don't wear I can wear it! haha.. But fm her face tat day, I think she will lah huh.

my youngest sis, Ying:
5 pairs of cutie earrings (dirt cheap, like 2 pairs for $1.50 RM, I got 2 of these and the other 1 pair was like $4 RM)

my mom:
nothing, except lotsa snacks to share out among the hse hold members

my PIL:
same as above, snacks are the easiest LOL else I will have to get each of them something? Then still hv 2 BIL to think abt. FORGET IT, snacks for all!

my own home:
Needless to say, lotsa snacks too! whahaha and also 2 pretty clocks that is small enough for either the toilets, kitchen or rooms!

Hubby:
He got the most compared to all of them lor. 3 t-shirts AND a box of briefs (BRANDED ok, from Diesel leh!)

MOI:
Of course I bought a lot of things for me, myself lah! I DESERVE it ok, for lugging all the goodies back and combing the shops so much so that the balls of my feet were buring after the 3 days! But you don't know the list right? So I shall reveal it here. =)

1 broach, 1 pair of very pretty clips, 1 eye cream, 1 blusher, 1 eyebrow pencil, 1 pair of tweezers, 1 belt, 1 necklace, 1 full set of sexy lingerie (got bra, panties and chemise wan! hm... shd I put this under hubby's? Since it is for his sake that I got it lah, but he cannot wear also mah... aiyah, mine lar, mine lar!) 1 skirt, 1 pair of bubble pants and 1 pair of Jeans! (My very first pair of branded jeans ok!)

2 beauty masks (which I haven't use)

3 bra + a free panty Woo Hoo.. I love buying Warcoal in KL, cheap ok. 3 bras for like $106 SGD after conversion? and hor, GOOD quality ok?! Where to find in SG?

nothing I bought in 4's and 5's

AND 6 tops!!! Woo Hoo!! Yipppee!!! *do cartwheels*

7 pairs of earrings =) Yes, I have loads of them so what? I like can?!

At this moment in time, does it kinda reminds u of this Christmas Carol, "12 Days of Christmas?" On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me.....

Lastly, I cannot remember how many packets of snacks I bought lar huh. There were simply TOO many! I had to carry it in 2 huge plastic bags and the snacks costs me a total of freaking $70.70 RM!

Yeap! I'm sure...

I'm very very sure that both Trina and me has been bitten by a deadly bug. It's fatal, life long of medication and no cure to it. It's called the 'Shopping Bug'!

Less than a week that we placed our butts in SG, we are dreaming of going shopping again. This time, we are worse, we have set our sights for Thailand, Bangkok!

Pity, no extra dough to spare, if not we will fly off very very soon!

KL Trip - 3rd and Final day

So fast... end of our trip liao. TOday is the last day in KL already. Abit sad but also happy to go home. Nothing is as comfy as our own bed in our own house!

We started to pack our bags last nite, in case we are too rush this morning, so this morning, all we need to do is pack in our last min items like the toothbrush and daily necessities etc.

Today, I changed my pattern, woke up earlier, bathe then went dw to bf and we got to know this guy and his family whose from South Africa. Friendly chap. Volunteered to take a photo for us and started chatting with us for a while. And so good!! His family and him are on a 2 week long vacation, to Mauritius, then BKK, then Hiat Chay, SG and back to Mauritius and finally home. All these for like $2000!! Gosh! We almost fainted when we heard it. So cheap! Why can't we have this kinda rates too?

Sitting at the opp table, was 1 of those southern aerbian ppl (I assume) where the woman is dressed and covered from head to toe except the eyes are visible. NOT Trina lar, the black shadow on the right hand cornerLooking at her, I really have 3 questions to ask leh. But dare not ask lor. My questions will be as follows:
1) Don't you feel hot? Somemore, the outermost garb is total black.
2) Will the man (husband, father or brother etc) of the house, find the wrong woman? I mean they all look the same, how the men tell them apart? Coz their rules very strict ma, no physical contact with the opp sex if it's not family members.
3) How come the female kids no need to cover till like that then?
Really, out of curiousity, I wanna know. The woman who was decked out in black din even take out the cloth covering face when eating, but simply just lift up the veil put food into the mouth and then close back. Isn't the veil dirty then, will accidentally touch the food right? eat and drink all wif the veil on! Can you see the white beneath all the black cloth? Lucky I snapped when she took a drink lor, if not, also cannot imagine wat I saying right?

After the bf, we went up to our room that we called ours for the last 2 nites and did a final check and packing and again some silly shots.last shot of us in hotel before saying 'Bye KL'We look as though we are lying down? Acutally is the bedboard behind us. Ugly green leh. Bleh! We all came to KL with 1 bag and a small sling back. But look at the amount we are taking back with us, note that each and every bag is packed till the zips cannot be opened else, it will never close again. Fact of the day is that, I spoiled my zip of my bag =( So it took both of us to shut it!

Looking back, the 1st nite or rather morning when we checked in, I looked at the toilet, threw a piece of the towel on the floor and also another at the basin, was thinking how to tell Trina abt my weird habbit when she told me, she does the same! Surprise! And the next surprise is also when we both said we don't slp with ALL the lights off. Must at least leave 1 light on, and it's the one at the toilet! Surprise! Surprise!! I really really din know we are so similiar in our hotel habbits. our room for 2 nites and 1 morning. ha! our bathrom
After we checked out of the hotel, which the hotel want me to pay $8 RM for the glass I broke which of course I refused to pay coz the glass broke after it knocked into the thermos flask!

Left our bags with the hotel and off we went to Times Square again, this time, it's not lesiure shopping, we both had made mental shopping list to buy for this last hour. And we literally dash all over Times Square to get our things done. Within 1 hour, we are done with Times Square and we can even cross over to Sungei Wang to get the "spiderman bolster" for Trina's nephew and again, we shopped around. And w/o intending to, I got another T-shirt for hubby. Cannot find anything else for myself but just in the 2 plus hours, not bad, I got these. got all these within 2 hours! *Blush* Acutally, I got more than this also lar... I got another lingerie set, this time with a chemise over it as a set. Must be 1 of my most expensive and I guess sexy ones lor. hahaha... as a surprise for hubby ma... *blush*blush*blush*

By the time we went back to hotel to wait for our coach, we were tired and happy lor. I think the part of our body credit to my poor feet that suffered most is our poor poor feet. We walked sooooo much during the past 2 days and we din even manage to give our poor feet a massage coz there was NO TIME for massage with the shopping we are doing daily. Coz of the 2 hour trip, our number of bags increase again..all these belonging to US alone!! wah lau... we are really really shopping queens!!

US again, while waiting for coach Taking a much much needed rest while waiting for bus. People watch, yakking non stop and photos all the way. There was this young group of 3 girls sitting opp us at the lobby and the 3 of them only used 6 small bags!! GOsh!

Finally our bus came and we happily got onto it. To our surprise, it was a double decker. I've never been on a double deck don't I look excited? on a trip to KL so was rather excited. But less than 5 mins into the ride. I begin to wish that we are all on the lower deck coz it's more jerky upstairs than downstairs. Luckily, Trina has the motion sickness pills and we each pop 1 and began to yak somemore. Hahaha.. the pills like not very effective on us both.

On the way out, we saw tons of ppl on the streets. Don't know waiting for what lar, but since we are so high up (remember, upper deck of the coach) we were able to capture shots w/o fearing them running after the bus! haha.. They probably din know that we are taking shots of them. But it took us over an hour to get out of KL city. The jam was horrible and so is the feeling of starting and stopping of the bus that made us both feel horrible too.

In the hot afternoon sun, I got tired, and I dozed with my Ipod by the time I was wide awake, we were at Yong Ping again. I know I got to buy snacks home. So in a matter of minutes, we went to the ladies and started pilling our baskets with snacks. Can you belive that I actually spent $70.70 RM on snacks alone?! And I carried home 2 BIG bags! Gosh... I think coz of my kaisu-ism, the bus driver actually asked if we are Singaporeans. So embrassing... but hey, I need to buy for PIL, my parents, ourselves and also friends lor. hai..
snacks and snacks and more snacks!!
Another 2 hours or so before we reach Golden Mile. And we chatted all the way. Once we reach the JB customs, we are so happy coz it means, we are near near near home, our beloved SINGAPORE! Yipee. Once we cleared the checkpoints, each of us bearing at least 3 or 4 bags, we called home. I called hubby and Trina called her dad. Her daddy was so swt, drove all the way to GM to pick us up. Went for dinner 1st at the nearby coffeeshop then we went home. Hubby was waiting for me at the multisorey car park so as to see me earlier and also to help me with my luaggage lor. =) Little does he know, that I have so many surprises for him! The T-shirts, snacks and my lingerie.. heehee..

KL Trip - Day 2

Bright and early we rose. Actually, Trina woke up earlier. Since she wanted to bathe 1st and I wanted to slp more, so this plan works perfectly fine for us! She wakes up, go bathe, then wake me, I wash up, go dw for bf at the hotel lobby and then come up, I bathe, she rests and OUT we go! haha

We so enjoyed bf. We simply love toasts wif egg.. haha... This I never knew abt her though we have been friends for like 7 years?! haha... actually, there's more to her that I don't know lor.

As according to plan, we went to KLCC... by train. Abit like our SMRT. Except shorter and erm... not so convenient. Coz the rails in KL are not interlink, so you got to like take a rail to the interchange, walk (either in the sun or in the rain, depending on the weather that day) buy another train ticket for the other rail then get on it. Goodness!! I tell you, it's such a silly system. And all the 4 rails has a different look to it meaning, you will see different train! So far, I have been on 2 already, the "putra", the "star" and the "KL Sentral Titiwangsa" wonder how the rest looks like or did make a mistake that there's only 3? haha.. the railway system in KLOur hotel this time, is in between "Plaza Rakyat" and "Imbi" So farily convenient, depending on where we want to go. So for today, we walked to "Rakyat" took the watever line it is called down to "Masjid Jamek" down to "KLCC". Not so bad after all, only thing was, we had to pass by a whole load of guys standing at the Pudu Raya bus station and we were a tad scared. And along the way, Trina got lucky, she even pick up a dollar! hahaha.. Good sign ya?

We once again went crazy in KLCC. =( After taking a few shots at the 'science centre' which is more like a discovery little area for kiddies, we can't be bothered to take any more shots coz we were so much more interested in getting started to spend sme $$ and to fill up our bags and current empty hands. We went all the way to the highest like 7th floor? Though the lift only went up to 4th (which is the 7th) coz in KL, the ground level is considered as "GROUND" level and only the next is like "TOP" floor then the next level is "Level 1" takes some getting used to seriously, but who cares soo much about the levels and things as long as there are floors and floors of shops for us, right? And so, our quest for the shops began with fevor!

Walked round for a while w/o getting anything till Trina spotted "Diesel". Spent a good 1 hour there leh! Choosing and trying tops and walking round and round the store again and again. Think the sales ppl must have taught us either filthy rich or we are mad! If hubby were to come with me, we will be out in a jifty coz he simply cannot take it lor. He will ask, u walked so many times liao. Wat else you need and want? Really, go shopping must go with GIRLS!! I din have intention of getting jeans, coz I recently got a pair fm Giordano on my Bday so not really in need of jeans lor. But when I tried it on, WOO HOO!! The cut and fit is perfect! I have yet to find such a nice fit pair of jeans, so I get lor. =) then saw sone tops, also try and try. But in the end, only decided on the yellow halter for myself. ALL mine except for you know what laAnd best of all, I can comfortably squeeze into size 'M' leh! Hahaha... happy happy! Then saw some briefs, decided to get it for hubby lor since he so poor thing alone at home and somemore working night shifts. So ok la, get for him, then also got some presents to open mar. haha.. Went into Isetan and manage to get a green racer too at only $19 RM. Darn cheap right? less than $$8.50 leh! Somemore, branded lor. "pop soda" haha.. material also good, where to find in SG? Tried on many tops, but somehow the pink ones look horrible on me but I can take green and yellow well leh. Don't know is it coz too long no go into the sun, my colour fade so how looking good in yellow and greens. Thinking back to the tops I bought yesterday, also yellow and green and whites. Only 1 pink. haha.

In KLCC, there seems to be more kiddies store than shops for us leh. Din really catch my eye la, but catches Trina's eyes alot. She bought so many pretty tops and bottoms for her neieces, or rather just 1 neiece. Gosh, she already spent quite abit yesterday for them but today somemore! But must admit, the girls' clothings are really nice and cheaper than SG! And best of all, PRETTY!

I finally made up my mind to get some boy clothes for Lucas and Ryan, my 2 nephews. (after being depressed for awhile coz I cannot buy ANY of the girls' clothes coz I have NO neiece to give to!) Being inexperience, so Trina helped me pick some. So in the end, I got theseboys' clothings for the 2 brothers. Ryan's come with an additional overall coz small boy mah, looks cute in it and since his Bday coming up in Sep, so get 1 more piece. Gor Gor will just get the shirt lor. haha quite fair hor, me this "Aunt".

Was still considering the "peacock" necklace (by chance, it's green again) the other coloured feathers looks as though the peacock is aging n dying. Thinking and thinking if I should go back to get it coz it's like $70 RM which is still $33 SGD or thereabouts leh.. think and think for so long... argg... TAKE IT! So went back to the shop at the same level as the boy's clothings and got it. Hahaha.. Mine now!fm the tail of a MALE peacock I would imagine that when the feather was taken from the male peacock, (it must be a male coz we all know that only the feathers of the male are vibrantly coloured, the female is a dull brown or grey, some boring colours lar which I simply don't understand! We, the female are so pretty with everything for hair to toe but the animals... Bleh!) anyway, back to my necklace, I imagine that the male peacock was/is (with feathers so beautiful, ppl probably reared it longer? I don't know, I'm not THE owner of the life peacock) a young, handsome looking thing with plenty of other female peacocks swooning at it's feet whenever it opens up it's manficient tail!

Up to this point of time, we both feel that we are in beed of a toilet break, having been on our feet the whole day and not erm... reliving ourselves, so in search of a toilet. I know the toilets in KLCC are of a good standard, THIS is a tourist attaction ok with the twin towers just round the corner. Guess what we saw when we reach a particular toilet? The sign says something like, "Preferential washrooms, $2 RM per entry" we both turned and walked away but on 2nd thoughts, decided to head back... we were like go in don't go in? It's $2 per entry. Darn it. But we wanted to see wat is sooo special that wardens $2, you see. So, we went in. Well, for a $2RM washroom, they have a person sitting at the entrance, giving you a pack of wet tissue which looks like thisat least $1 RM lor. and a entry ticket (which I din have chance to take before the next person IN the toilet took it away.) So at this point in time I was like, erm... I don't feel very 'preferred' leh, except for 2 ahmahs wearing uniforms giving me a ticket and taking it away in the next instant. Not very special yet mah. And this was the sight that greeted us within the preferenital toilet. Tat's Trina in the mirror coz I was holding the camera So what you think? Worth $2 RM? Ok la, granted, there were some hand cream, face mist and don't know what else but chey... Bodyshop only mar. Bodyshop with candlesI know of some hotels, where they gave away L'octiav (can't spell the name) or even Evelyn & crabtree! Ok ok, I know it's only $2 RM. But hey, that IS M'sia, standard of living is lower lor. So for $2 Rm I would expect more mah! The lady at the entrance collecting the ticket also doubled up as the cleaning lady lor, she actually hold a piece of cloth(with HANDS) and wipe the floor of very cubicle after someone has used it. YUCKS!! But I cannot be sure if she used the same piece to wipe the basins. Double YUCKS!! AND best of all, I have this mortal fear of cockroaches! Well, the moment I entered my cubicle, there was one staring at me from the bin lor! So much for $2 RM!!! Gosh, I swear I am not gng into that "preferrenial toilet" even when I go to KLCC again. Madness!!! So quickly after doing the necessary, wash my hands, snapped a few shots for this and we are outta there. NO WAY am I going to pay $2 RM for toilets again!

Went out into the garden to look at the twin towers, hoardes of ppl there. I would have enjoyed it if they don't smoke so much lar, idiots! Snapped 2 or 3 shots and we went to cold storage to buy drinks. Bleh those smokers. Oh.. digress.. BTW, I am soooo soooooo happy, as of 1 July 2006, SG has banned smoking in coffeeshops! Yippee!! Horray!

Again catch the train back. Sucks, we were caught in the peak hour, so many ppl at the train station. But hey! I like their system. The ppl actually queue. YES, they QUEUE to go into the train!! Wah. We shd use that stystem too. But of course, ppl still push to get in. Cld be the peak hour so I almost fainted in the train, the air was horrible, ppl so close to each other all the way. Luckily for us, we are not that far from getting down lor. Phew.

We were too tired to eat out. SO we did the next best thing, order room service! haha.. The food looks really good you know! And this time, we had glass noodles, hor fun, satay and salad. A tad expensive. But then again, ROOM service mah. But also not that bad, come up to $98 RM. =) we are 2 happy people, I tell you. just for the 2 of us! Ii was sooooo full after this dinner!
my hor fun
Trina's glass noodle
some greens to sharechicken satay for a long time, I dare not eat satay at night coz i will puke, but I plucked up my courage and tried, NOTHING! I felt pefrectly fine and their satay is good ok. GOOD!
See our spread for dinner just for the both of us? We were so busy taking photos of our food that by the time we started to eat, the food was abit cold. Haha. But we still really had fun. Even such a simple things as eating with a girl friend, makes so much difference if compared to the guys.

We thought our faces needed pampering after exposing it to the sun and air con and plenty of dust for the past 2 days, so we bought mask to do in the comfort of our hotel room too. But, we were soo contentded with dinner and soooo tired, we again, din do anything lor. *SIGH* we bought 2 packs each again cheap cheap lor. From Sasa, the 2nd pack there's 50% off so good deal hor? But till now, I haven't try lor.

All in all, we din buy as many things as yesterday, but still, we spent half of what we spent yesterday!! Gosh!

KL trip - Day 1

Abit late for this post but then the saying goes, "better late than never" right? So here I am dilligently updating my blog with tonnes and tonees of photos. A pertty long summary if I may add...

27 Jun, 10.30 pm...
As my post says earlier, our bus was scheduled to leave from Golden Mile complex. So here I am wif my girl friend, Trina. Can u see the word excitment written over our foreheads? Look at my nerdy face, I assume that I will doze off on the bus and have wore contacts for the whole day so better just stick to being nerdy for the few hours that we will be there. We were both so excited at going off on our own. Trina's virgin trip out of SG wif a friend and for me, my virgin trip out of SG wif a girl friend! HOnestly, I was not as excited as gng to KL coz I have already been there twice with hubby. But I told myself, with girl friend and hubby definately different! *cross fingers hopping to get loads of stuff back!*

28 Jun, midnight...
We reached "Yong Ping" the halfway stop, for us to grab a bite and to pee. 30 mins later, we were back on the coach. It is interesting to note that from the time we got on till now, we ARE still yakking away! I think the whole bus is asleep except for the driver and ourselves! So of course, we were careful to keep our voices down too in case we woke up anyone and we find ourselves suddenly ladden with more shoes and slippers.

28 Jun, 3.58 AM...
Cold on the bus, I was wrapped like a "bak chang" listening to Ipod and dozing off and then we reached... KL! =) Very happy to finally get off the darn bus, not that it's not comfy but being trapped there for too long lar. After we got dw fm the bus, I began to feel a shiver of fear up my spine. We are in the middle of KL, all I know somewhere near "Pudu Raya" bus station at freaking 4AM! Hoardes of male were around, or rather TAXI drivers were all round, and there's only US!!! We were looking forlorn and definately our faces spell L-O-S-T!!! Decided to go into the nearest safest looking building... some hotel.. and asked the security for directions. And can you believe our boldness or lack of fear whatever you wanna call it. We WALKED to our hotel @ Swiss Garden all the time being approached by taxi drivers (which we have heard sooo many stories, that we decided we will rather cripple ourselves than get onto their car!) Halfway stopping in a 7 eleven to ask for more directions to see if we are on the right track. Thank God, my prayers are answered. We managed to find our hotel, reach there in 2 pieces (cos there's 2 of us mah!) Reached the blessed hotel at 4.30 am, can't check in unless we pay $150 RM for early check in. No choice. We pay lor. Finally a rm to rest and zzz and wash up.

28 Jun, 9 am...
Bright and early we rose! Considering we slp at 5 am and woke up at this unearthly hour of 9 ok. Bathe and got ready and we hit TIMES SQUARE. Wah! Splendid. Got to go back again!Floors and floors of shops bekoning us to go in and spend our ringgits. But first, we got to settle our stomach, put in some food for that much needed energy and then to hit the shoops. Times Square also house the indoor theme park, Cosmos or something. We din waste too much time for bf and goggling at theme park combined, we were simply TOO eager to start shopping and lighten those dollars n cents in our wallets. First stop, accessories. Goodness... we spent at least 30 mins there. Just looking and choosing and asking "nice or not", "nice or not".. just look at MY loot! pretty??Of course, there a few cutsy ones that I got for my youngest sis. Not all for me la, though MOST are mine! whahahaha..

Next, clothes! Hahaha.. I went bonkers today! A picture says a thousand words and just look at my clothes.. lingerie inclusive, coz we went to Sungei Wang after Times Square and I cannot resists my warcoal when we hit there. haha.. OUt of the so many, there are 2 that belongs to hubby and 1 considering to give to my other sister lor. SO not so many after all right? Probably add up to like 5 tops, 1 skirt, 1 "bubble" shorts (Trina coined it), 2 bra and 1 free panty only lor for today =( all mine except for 3 'bubble' shorts & skirt my inner beauties oooooh! I forgot to add that, while I as at the Metro Berjaya (something to that spelling lar huh) I was looking at the various bras. For me, I usually look at the design of the bra before I decide to try. I think most would lar, u only try if u like the design of it right?! So the very nice lady came to me and tell me this nice, that nice, I find her irriating lar, then finally I made my choice, asked her for my size.. which is hmmm.. not going to reveal here. Then went into the changing room lor. Then as usual with any sales ppl, they will ask u "how miss? how miss?" I told her cannot, too loose, too tight. Then did you know what she said? She said, Miss u open up, I help u see! *OMG* I was like -_-" but hor.. I did leh. I can't believe myself too. I let her in! She looked at me and agreed, ya, too small, cannot see that I am so "wei da" too. Haha.. So out she went and came in with more recommendations. Which finally resulted in what I bought as above lor. This is the FIRST time, ever that I have met such a friendly lady who erm.. acutally came into the fitting room to try out for me too leh. Did feel abit uncomfy but then again, what I have, she has too lar. So not a big issue to me lor. Haha..

Oh! Before I forget, they have a shop similiar to "The Face Shop" of SG. Their things are cheap so I could'nt resists too and got these my outward beauties woman just cannot resists clothes and anything that make us pretty, which includes inwards AND outwards!! And here I bought, eye cream, eye brow pencil, tweezer and also blusher. All these for only $36 RM!! CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP right!?!? Aren't we just simply vain?! haha.. But I am soo enjoying myself wor!

After such a long hard day of shopping and shopping and more shopping, we decided to award ourselves with yummylicious food @ Secret Recipie. Gosh... the pricing there.. wah.. I can eat there every single day just on their cakes! The price is the SAME as SG. Just that it's in ringgint! So we are like eating at half price the whole time!! How cool is that!! our yummy yummy dinnerWe had such good food! Chicken kebab, penang something something, that looks like laksa but I think it's probably not coz it had a more fanciful name, drinks and topped it all up with their signature cakes!! All in all, it's only $60+ RM. Which is like $15 SGD! I swear I can eat it everyday at this kind pricing! sweet things to top the meal
Then we slowly walked back to hotel lugging our purchases and happy and satisfied. Which also brings an end to our day 1 in KL. Abit sad that the time simply flew by soooo fast! I don't remember buying so much in 1 day in the previous 2 trips combined when I came with hubby. Goes to show 1 thing. Woman! We are darn good shoppers man! Just my own loot. Heavy ok! I lugged all these the whole day!

And since our energy level is still so high, we decided to end the day by taking shots of our hotel room. Hahaha.. Call us bo liao or watever but we were really still tooo high from retail therapy to rest! But we did treat our poor over worked feet to a hot feet bath the moment we reached the hotel. We simply let the water run, sat on the side of the bathtub and bathe our poor sore feet. Just to pamper them before we hit the streets again for round 2 when we wake up! Hahahahaha..

And tomorrow, it will be KLCC.

KLCC, here we come!!! whahahahahahaha

Saturday, July 1

Back!

I think I caught the shopping bug =(

Just came back fm KL last nite and here I am thinking and planning where to go next to satisfy my shopping buggie.. heee... But I think hubby won't allow me to go lor. Already spent so much over the 3 days tat we were in KL.

I never never knew that when Trina and I goes shopping, we cld shopped for so long and never stop and just buy and buy and buy!!! Goodness. Just on a quick count, I spent like $1300 RM, inclusive of my credit card bills wich translates back to like $600 SGD? *faint* She also spent quite a bit I think was like $400++. Think we both went mad in Times Square and also in KLCC.

Though I have been there before, I don't remember spending so much when I was with hubby the last 2 times. But when I went there wif Trina... Hell broke loose.

Don't have my cam wire things now. Will upload some pictures when I get my hands on all the necessary item.

Really bought a whole bagful of things. GOodness. Luckily, Trina's parents came to pick us up from Golden Mile and we could come home comfortably. Hubby came to fetch me at the multi storey carpark to help me bring back the things home.

Update another time. Till then.

Monday, June 26

OOoohhh!!

Tomorrow, this time, I will be eagerly waiting to rush home! To pack my bags and have dinner with hubby then outta SG wif Trina!

Hooray!!!

Within a few hours, Trina and I have seek the respective ppl (i.e. Hubby for my case, and daddy for her), applied leave, booked tickets and hotels and we are OFF to KL tomorrow night!

Yipee!!

Though I have been there a couple of times but it will be the 1st time that I go off with her and, somehow I still think go shopping with galfrieds are still better lor. haha..

We'll be putting up at Swiss Garden Hotel for 2 nights and then it's back home. Shd be fun. haha.

Hmmm... Since the main reason for her to go was to avoid Kel, hence the choop choop decision(s) and booking(s).

Hubby says abit ex for KL trip. But I thought it was quite ok lor. $146 and after the holiday claims, it's only $96 each. Of course I share out the costs wif Trina lar, so end up each of us only pay $96 for a 3D2N trip. I thought it's worth it definately!

Saturday, June 24

Congratulations!

The big day is finally here for Lynn and Max.

Early morning, Godma, hubby and me went dw to CTK to start off with the decor. Hot morning =( but the effect I think it looks good or at least I hope it is the way she wants it.

The bride looks gorgeous! B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!!

And tml is the wedding banquet at RTC for more meryy making. haha

Thursday, June 22

Ready... 1,2, 3 ACTION!!

Lynn had her wedding rehearsal last night in CTK. I was there to help out and also to take note on what items she may need me to help. The rehearsal went pretty well I think and all things are in order for this Sat for the big big day.

Choir members are there, the fathers were there, all are in place in my opinion. =)

Wednesday, June 21

Buzz off! I'm in a horrendous mood!

I'm in a foul mood. So buzz off and leave me alone.

I want to cry my heart out and ignore the whole darn world. The world that I currently live with my hubby seems to be just closing in on me and leaving me with a vaccum that when I shout, no one seems to hear, when I cry, no one cares and even if I disappear fm the face of this earth, I think it is for the better.

I don't know if I have a language problem or I have a problem with the "man" of da house. He actually wrote in our blog that "maybe I need to speak in Malay so that he can understand" and worse "My nightmare starts from then".

Fine, if my coming home is such a nightmare, then please tell me again (and again) why we bought our unit? Which is not cheap by the way since it costs us a feaking 277K SGD!

I'm mad. I'm boiling mad! ARGG!!!

Sunday, June 18

Very soon, very soooon.

Was just looking at my calendar and then it hit me.

Lynn is getting married this coming Saturday! She did write in her blog that she's feeling nochalent about it. And reading it, it did remind me of the days and times that I went thru. =) The days of worring and tension and of course excitment!

We bought a gift for her for her special day with Max. But I cannot post up the item here.. coz I think she reads once a while.. haha.. so I shall only post up the wrapped package so.. in case we din write our big names, she can still recongise the packaging! haha.. all boxed up and you know what? The wrapper that we specially bought is tooooo small!!! Damn! So got to find another wrapper for the gift instead. *sigh*

But to be honest, I remembered feeling quite relax about it. Must be coz I pushed all the duties and jobs to my trusted friends and jie meis so hubby and I were really really relaxed. Must've turned into bridezilla then w/o me even realising it.

Now as my friends seem to get married one by one but each time I witness each of them marching down the aisle and exchange their vows with their chosen ones I can't help but recall my own wedding. Though it happened quite sometime ago but I still remembered it.. as though it just happened yesterday.

I feel that marriage is just the begining of a new life. A life with the one I love and if it's possible, someone that will bear either mine or hubby's looks and heaven forbids... our negative traits too! *faint* Someone says.. a BB is the size of a cuddle. Shd be quite true I guess ba. haha.

I'm enjoying my married life, life with just hubby and it seems so peaceful even though we do have our arguements and disagreements at times but life with hubby is generally good and enjoyable.

Last night, I was looking thru the cards and well wishes that we got for our wedding. The well wishes that was written, the cards we received, gosh. It's so heart warming to read it all again. The thoughts, the wishes and also the effort spent in penning those words really really touch me even after so long. As I flipped thru the cards, once again, Monica's handmade card caught my eye. It's really a beautiful card... Totally handmade!!
Which reminds me... got to call Serene and make sure we will meet early to have ample time to settle the pre-wedding mass set ups.
