Shop. ShOp. SHOP!

Woo Hoo!!!

Met Godma early today for shopping and lunch. And judging from my tone, needless me to say much lor.

2 small bags of my loot... Not much you may say...

But wait...

Wanna see my loot(s) for the day?

Ta DAH!!! REVEALED!

Tops, Jacket and Skirt from Iora in Wisma Skirts from eZen in Isetan Wisma!

Guess how much all these costs me? About, or rather less than $240 lei!

Considering that I have a jacket, 3 tops and 3 skirts, a grand total of 7 pieces, I think that price is quite reasonable! I think the best deal were the 2 skirts from zZen, that 2 pieces costs me less than $40! Woo hoo..

Looks like I'm all geared up for the CNY already. Check out ALL the clothings I've bought so far!

Bottoms: 1 hand made by Tri, 5 working pieces & 1 casual.

Tops: 4 racers, 1 tee, 5 working blouses, 1 blouse from Godma, 1 shrug and 1 jacket.

All I need now is SOME pairs of shoes, maybe a bag? And definately a haircut. Then I'm ALL ready for CNY!

Yay!!

Oh! Did I add that I became an Iora member right away after buying all those?! My loot was already $203 and includes Godma's. Thank God, Tri was a member of Iora and we managed to get a 10% discount. Else, it would have costs us more!

Finally after such a wondering 2 hour, we were both famished, and we headed to Taka, a restaurant that serves Hong Kong cuisine. We went to try that.

Gosh!! The food, the waiters, the wait. Everything is horrible! We had to wait like 20 mins for our food while people who came in later got it earlier than us. And their food was soooo overprice! I ordered a "Four Treasures Noodle soup" and in the end, I got 3 fishballs (Not even 4 treasures mann!) and 2 yong tau foo things + seaweed! The noodles soup was sooo salty! Argg.. And it costs me $5.50! I felt sooo cheated of my $! The dessert is can eat kind only. Not even nice and it's $5 for that as well. And, HELLO! Both items are CHEF's RECOMMENDATION! *Bleh* Some kind of Chef's Recommendation!

My goodness!! I swear, this will be my first and last time in going to this restaurant!

Feeling highly unsatisfied with our lunch, we had cookie chou (something like Beard papa) and we were both soooo happy afterwards! The noodles really sucks. BIG time.

Went over to Tangs too but din manage to get anything but I was so tempted by the sausagges and I can't stop myself. I bought one and munch on it when Godma left me to go to Novena and I waited for hubby.

The rest of the day... can be read at OUR blog.

Yay!! I'm so happy... lots of new clothes! hahaa

Revenge?

After such a horrible and expensive breakfast yesterday. Look at what I decided my $4 will go towards!Lasi Lemak! And this only costs me HALF of what I paid for the pretz and milk!

But truth be told. Not very nice lor. The wing was soggy and the fish was too hard. And yes, early in the morning, I can't stomach such a heavy meal and I left about half of the rice untouched.

Oh well... But still better than paying $4+ for a box of pretz and milk right?!

Tuesday, January 9

I kena robbed!

I swear, this will be the last time that I get anything from Cheers in campus!

The things here are soooo expensive!

Guess, how much this pack of Pretz and HL milk costs me?

$4.35!!!
Gosh. It's almost daylight robbery! Argg!! And I kena robbed lor!

Wah lauz! $4+ for just this ok!! I could have eaten a FULL breakfast in one of the canteens or even a more substential meal in MacDonalds! kaoz! And when will they learn to price tagged their products and put proper labels? This box of prets costs at full $3.50 placed between 2 labels that say $1.00 and $1.50 lor! Never would I expect the cost to be twice that amount right?!

I swear, I won't buy anything more than a pack of milk from them anymore.

Daylight robbery!

The ONLY one consolation that I can give myself is that there are 4 individually packed of 8 sticks and 4 green hearts on the box. WELL DONE!

Lousy Day.

A lousy day today. Will be making a bitching entry. Shoo! if you don't want me to affect your mood.

First, I was super late for work today. Bus came at 8.40pm? And by the time I walked into campus, it was like 2 mins to 9am and who did I bump into? Chua GP! Bumped right into him cannot avoid lor. So no choice, got to talk. Talked about the EW meeting later on in the afternoon. Then I told him, I will be gng to Uni SIM. He was very nice and he volunteered to fetch me to class everyday if he needs to lei! Nice hor?!

But, I feel pai sey to trouble him also la... Director lei! Me small fry... haha.. But he was nice lar, I must say.

Had a meeting with a new vendor, they wanted to show me some new items they had. Took an hour of my time! Hai...

Another meeting in the afternoon for the EW. Hengz. Our team decided to stay in Oct instead of pushing to May. Thank God for that. Rather short meeting, but I sort of reached the lowest of my energy level for today.

Just when I felt I had to settled down and just closed myself off from the world, I got a call from my mom. Telling me, to call and cancel her line coz my sis lost her prepaid SIM card. And this is important coz now all prepaids are registered. *sigh* And she cannot tell me if it's starhub, singtel or M1 lor. I got to trial and error. Called Singtel, customer care and damn it, called thru twice and kena hang up twice! Only on the 3rd try did I manage to speak to their officer. Then, guess what? The no is not listed there. ARGG!!! Called starhub next. And went thru the "please press 1," enough times to make me mad and finally got thru to the officer.

And coz it's registered, now, got to make a trip dw to starhub to de-register PERSONALLY! WAH LAU eh!!!!

Felt so pissed off, I called my sis and scolded her! TMD! Just what is her problem? She had to take my mom's hp and then change SIM card in a taxi and lost it? She has her own HP, must take others and then lost it! ARGG!!! This sis of mine is driving me crazy!

Met an old coursemate of mine, she's with IBM and then I found out, she's resigning soon, to stay home to look after her 4 month old BB, we got married at about the same time. Now, I'm feeling envious! Gosh!!! Already a mommy of a BB girl and staying home to look after BB.

Just feel so down. I'm not sure if it's the mad house, the meetings, the work, the impending studies, my idiotic sis and her actions or my mom, who just calls me and expects me to solve her problems. Or is it that I'm envious of my coursemate. I don't know. All I know is that, I'm sinking deeper and deeper into this moodiness, this depression, this grouciness, this general, everything-is-horrible-moment.

Checked my SIM account and there was an annoucement, lecturer told us to install a ccertain software before the 1st class and bring our labby to school. GREAT! I have not even got my books, materials, instructions has come in. Just oh-so-perfect isn't it?!

I know, I cannot face coming home and I may just lash out at hubby, took a walk at J8 after work earlier and it somewhat made me feel better.

I was searching for a key pouch and also a pouch for my MP3 player. Din get the keys pouch but manage to get this instead. Then saw the push cart full of people and healthy nuts. Went to take a closer look and walked away $10 poorer but armed with 3 bagfuls of HEALTHY snacks!I bought a pack of cranberries, apricots and also guava slices. At least if I snack, it will be healthier right? But I decided to spoil it by having fried chicken for dinner. I needed some comfort food and went for that.

Seriously, I have no idea just what is troubling me lor. Just feeling damn depressed. And when I tried to check my SIM account again, I realised I cannot log in.

What else can be more prefect to this?! ARGG!!!

Sunday, January 7

THE orientation.

I guess this post is pretty out dated by now. But I was so shell shocked by the news/speech/briefing that the lecturer made, I was completely turned off from even putting it into words and worse of all to blog about it. It makes it even more difficult to avoid by blogging.

I spent the whole day in Uni SIM on Saturday. Morning, was the case study workshop, which was not that bad. Lecture and some brain storming and some simple exercises. Not bad. Then was the orientation proper.

My HOD addressed us and that's where I went into shock.

HOD: Well, as biz students, there will not be exams for some modules.
me: *YAY*
HOD: Will be either individual or group projects to replace the exams.
me: *hmm... not so bad, need good partners in this case.*
HOD: For the projects, you will need to submit a report, powerpoint presentation and a presentation.
me: *wah sey.... but not that bad lar, can handle*
HOD: I will want a 8 min video clip of yourself doing the presentation, complete with lightings, video and voice.
me: *OMGoodness!!!Where to get the equipment to do that 8 min video?!*

And my dear friends and readers, is WHAT I am darn stress over lor! If you know me, usually I'm not that jitterly over presentations.

But this 8 min video thing is freaking me out. Gosh!! Where am I supposed to find a camera crew to shoot me doing THAT presentation? Complete with lightings, voice editing and goodness knows what else?

Then there was the cumulative GPA scoring system. Simply put, each sem got to get at least a a 2.0. Which means a 'C', which is a 50 marks over 100 (passing grade is 40) for each module. Well, you can say 50 over 100 is nothing what, it's the min passing grade. But I look at it this way, there must be a reason why, they put the passing grade as 40. Means it's not that easy to get 50 all the time lor!

If getting that 'C' is not that tough, then listen to this, by the end of first sem, if I don't get an average GPA of 2.0, I will get a blessed warning letter from HOD. Then end of second sem, still no GPA of 2.0, then I will get another blessed warning letter from DEAN. By the third sem, still no 2.0 in sight, congrulate me then, I'm outta of the school!

This average GPA is acheived by adding all the points I got, divide by the number of exams I have taken. Each grade is worth a few points. 'D' is worth 1, 'C' is worth 2 so on and so forth with 5 being the highest. So imagine lor, even if I scape 2 'C's and a 'D' in my first sem, my CGPA is still less than 2!!! I should say, as long as I get a 'D' anywhere and no sight of any 'B' then I will be facing that blessed warning letter!

Am I jumping the gun?

Saturday, January 6

Officially a student once again

After such a long time, I'm finally back to the days of assignments, mugging, exams, presentations & nerve wracking waiting-for-results kind of days.

Had a 2 hour seminar on "case studies" the professor is from don't know where. I cannot remember and he shared with us, how to go about tackling cases and to answer them. Went thru a video and a story case. I think I shd be able to do this. About half of his model answers were in my list when he went thru the thing at the end of the session. I think I shd be ok.

Had lunch and then was the Orientation proper. Registrationn starts at 1.30pm and by the time we went to join the queue, there were lots of people. But there were also some fringe events, where we can choose from 2 out of the Neo print, Profile Silhouette, Rainbow calligraphy, Hand Wax, SuDoKu, Kachang Puteh stall to redeem from our 1st class boarding pass. I joined the shortest queue which was the kachang puteh and then since still had 1 more of those cupons, joined the silhouette queue.

The silhouette lady is good! Within minutes, she had my profile out!

After all the boring introduction of the various heads and DEANS, my HOD addressed us. *SIGH*

He gave me such a stressful time after his speech... I don't even have mood to update now... another time ba..

*sigh*

what a day..

Damn it. This is the 3rd try I'm making of the SAME entry!!!

And to be honest, I'm dead tired! I left the office at 20 mins to 8pm.. though it is not late late late, it's late for me lei coz I'm a leave on the dot kind of person ma. Wah Lau.. Mad house mad house mad house!

Stayed back just to do the tour routes for the 1st day of the mad house. And still not completed coz not all the details are in. So got to do what I can for the time being.

But to be honest, it wasn't that bad lar, coz I've been doing this for the past 3, 4 years so kind of know what's going to happen and how to go about doing it already just that the meeting ended at 5pm and then had an informal meeting with boss and din get to start work till much later too.

But I guess, it's fair. Coz during lunch, I went to Paragon to collect my SMRT citibank card, walked around for a while and also had lunch at this outlet selling fish and chips at Taka. I've never notice this outlet before and I was attracted by the smell and went for that as lunch!

Fisherios served fish and chips in different ways. There was quite a few to choose from but I got the "special of the day" and it was ALL fried stuff.

But too much fried stuff, even for a 'fried' person like me, I cannot handle it. There was fried fish, fried prawns patty, fried prawn and even fried crayfish topped off everything with fries! My goodness... Too much. Too much.

I left almost all the fries untouched. =S such a waste of food.

The whole meal includes a soft drink, either a soup or salad together with all those fried things and it's quite reasonable, I feel. About $16 in all.

But then again, it's not even in a restaurant or even cafe, just a small corner with tiny chairs and tiny table tops to put the plate of food and eat. Well, not that 'reasonable' after all lar. But this is the first time, that I actually sat down to eat in one of these shops in Taka. Hahah... I'm now attracted by the suassage store that is behind this fish store. The suassage looks good and big and juicy! haha... Definately want to go and try.

Din manage to get anything, but I was suddenly craving for the Taiwan mochi and I bought a pack.

Quite expensive lei. That few mochi costs me $3, half of which I ate when I was in office doing OT!

Today is a card-y day. I got my SMRT card. I was mailed my Best Denki card + OCBC Denki card. Just 1 day and I had 3 cards.

I need a bigger card holder.

Oh! oh!! I went too look at the COACH again... and NICE lor! I like the small card holder, the wristlet AND the HOBO!!!

Thursday, January 4

Another shopping trip in the making...

Woo YOO!!!

I have another date with my kaki for shopping on 6 Jan! This time with my sure-to-buy-something-Godma!! Yay!!!

I can't wait! =)

On a good and happier and thank God mode, finally, I'm making some leeway into the hugmoungous task of OH07! Settled the $$$, even did an excel list capturing the expenses. Did the paperwork for refreshment and walkie talkies which are way much easier than I thought it will be. Coz all use last year's reference. Refreshment is easy, can count. But I thought the walkie talkies will be problematic but my nice purchaser told me can re-order. Wah!!! Thank God man! No need to call quotes or anything. Direct order! Yay!!!

Then the talks part, need confirmation for the venues. Tours, I can finally start work on it tomorrow coz more details have come in.

All in all, making some progress into this event. Thank GOD!

*phew*

=)

Guess what?

Godma came back from Austrlia on 28 Dec and along came my pressies too! =) She bought a few things for me lei! So happy!

Got 2 tops.

A halter neck and spaghetti. The spaghetti is from "Crossroads" the halter a local brand. Nice not? I like. Come to think of it, the halter abit 'retro' with the 'flower power' isn't it... I think I can pass that off as 'retro'.

The spaghetti is meant as Christmas pressie and the halter is the pressie that she got me from her trip. She got me a pokka dotta dress too but size is wrong, so gave it to someone else. Sad lei! I was kind of looking forward to that dress coz I've never own a pokka dotta anything before and I absoultely trust Godma's taste! =(

Along with the clothes, came a big big bag of "Nougat" is assorted flavours. So pai sey lei. I asked Godma to help me buy and then in the end, she din want to take $$. So instead of just 2 tops, I got a big pack of Nougat as part of the pressies too.

There's many flavours lei. I haven't open though. Can slowly enjoy it. =) There's the "orignal crunchy", "golden boronia", "cappuccino crunchy" and even "green tea crunchy!" in this pack! Woah... I think I'm gonna have a good time just munching on all these!

Must guard it well, if not, later Hubby steal all and leave non for me! ha!! But he can share with me, if not I will grow too fat to fit into those 2 nice tops!

And!!! Godma helped me get the 6-in-1 lips gloss from Estee from Airport. Yay!!! Cheaper than retail. But the packaging is also different, it does not come in the box, rather just a plastic casing.

According to the sales, 1 of the colours is not available in retails... Let me see which it is. Hmmm.... All the colours seem to be different lei!

Where got same lar.

But nevertheless, I still like the shades in this pack. Very dainty looking. Hahaha.. Too bad the mascara is out of stock if not I can save more!

I thought the Estee logo is fasten by buttons. But hey. It's magnets! Ok, call me "sua ku" lor. But I really quite impressed ma. No wonder they charged so high prices! hahaha..

Next, I want the mascara, Lash XL, the YSL concealer which is priced at $52 in retails! My goodnes! Then... maybe the reduce fats cream of Clarins... I think that's about it FOR NOW.

hahaha...

WOMEN!!! No end to the cosmestics, shoes, clothes, bags, accessories! =.=

Wednesday, January 3

First day of work ended with....

First day of work after a long break and I think I more or less settled what I've penned down last night.

Not too bad a day I will say.

Finally more infor has come in for the OH07 and I can start work on it soon. Tomorrow. 2 meetings are being lined up, 1 for Friday, afternoon for OH07 and the other on Monday, afternoon for the EW07.

Gosh... 2 big events one after the other! How am I gonna manage that coupled with exams?? I really have no idea how!

Anyway, work aside, my day ended on a jolly mood! Tri and I went town shopping after work!! Made plans to meet in Taka, B2 and then we went for dinner at this pasta joint, I cannot remember the name now, but it's opposite MOS Burger. My first time in there.

The pasta was not too bad. I had the Bekin Duck pasta and Tri had the Laksa Seafood pasta. We shared an Oriendal Shrimp Salad too. These 2 pasta are the 'new' ones so we tried that. We got the salad coz the picture looks nice.. hahaha..

My pasta was abit too salty and oily for my liking but other than that not too bad. Tri's pasta had a tad too much coconut milk in it I feel. Anyway, I'm not a laksa kind of person so cannot give too much comments. The salad.. hmm... it's very simple. Just some halfed shrimps, veggies and pour chili over it. Not much mango taste as the menu says I should be tasting lei. Can do only la. Hmm... will go back but will try their gratins this time. haha.. cheese, cheese and MORE cheese!!! hahaha.. But I like their glasses. Quite unique. There's 2 groves for you to place your fingers while holding the glass. After such a good dinner, we went to walk around. Checked out Fashion Lab, Taka and other stores for clothes for the coming new year. Can't get anything. Even check out cosmestics. But still nothing. I almost wanted to get the YSL concealer but on second thoughts hold back. Since 1) I can get better discounts in TANGS with my Citibank cards or in ROBINSONS with my OCBC card
2) I heard that I can get up to 20% off if I get from TANGS coz a friend of a colleague's sister is working there
3) Emma is gng to HK 2 weeks later, can ask her to get from airport!!
with all these possibilities for me to save $$ why should I go and buy it now right?! hahaha... Again, the cheapskate at work here.

We also went to my newest addiction, COACH to check out their collection. MY GOODNESS!!! The HOBO that I like actually costs a freaking $1155!!! The smaller SOHO costs almost $700!!! SOOOO expensive! But I still like it lei... haha.. In addition to the bags, I saw the wristlets and also aimmed another card & key holder. Gosh... so many I want to buy.. how? how? how??? And each and every item is at least $100. =(

Finally, we decided to go home and was on the way to the MRT station and just as I was desparing that we did not buy anything, we passed by Pepper Plus. She Tri found a bag and I wanted her opinions on a skirt I was aiming and showed her. Without showing her, I know it will not do. Bleh!! Very ugly. So din buy it. But she showed me the bag and I kinda like it too. So end up, we each bought one. Mine is black, her's white.

Finally! Managed to get something from our night out! Happy! Go shopping must buy something then shiok. If not, darn sian.

And since we stay soo near to each other (across the street) we practically went home together. The whole time chatting and catching up!

Fact of the day: First day of work and I'm asked twice "when am I having reproducing" -_-" I wish I can wear a banner on my forhead that says "After my degree" or maybe I should just change my nick to "planning for BB in year 2010".

And this is NOT funny. Don't let me know you are laughing, giggling or even smiling!

Edited on 4 Jan, 9.30am. The name of the restaurant is indeed "Pasta Cafe" thanks to Irene who lead me to look at the receipt. *Bang head* Should have thought of looking at the receipt for the name right?! *Faint*

Tuesday, January 2

Last day of holiday.

Today is the last day of my long holiday. 2006 has crept by and 2007 has already made it's way ANNOUNCED and proudly will stay for the next 1 year before giving way to 2008.

Feeling slightly dejected and sad that I'm starting work tomorrow, will be slogging for the Open House which is exactly 22 days away! And believe me, NO work has been done, no prepartions, NOTHING!!!

Not that I am lazy and din do work, it's really I have NO information to work on! My area of work depends on other people to give me where their "attraction" point is, depend on them to give me student leaders, give me what they want the student leaders to walk, talk, do! But I have nothing of all these.

*GROANS*

22 more days and it's THE show. How?? I cannot believe it, not even been back to office and I'm already thinking and freaking out.

But, I have thought of what I can do for tomorrow.
1. Clear emails
2. Clear table
3. Do up PR forms for refreshment & walkie talkie (that is, if the estates guy is back.)
4. Call up Uni SIM and enquire about a) my timetable and b) supposedly orientation on 6 Jan?

hmmm.... I think that's more or less for tomorrow. Unless something more exciting comes up during work.

Speaking of which, I hope that I have more information for me to work on. If not, I think I can really really peng san from next week onwards in office.

And 1 more thing, I is very very V-E-R-Y heng that my first lesson is tentatively set on 29 Jan, which is thankfully, mercyfully AFTER the blessed Open House!

Sunday, December 31

Ahhh!!!! SO CUTE!!

Recently, I got some pictures of children who are caught in their naughty acts. Really very cute lor, some of those children. But their naughty acts can really drive you crazy too...

But, this is my favourite of all!CUTE right!? I know he looks very dirty with all the rice all over him. But that's what makes him soooo adorable! hahaha.. There's a few more... but.. somehow, does not attract me as much.

Then I got the Metropolis from Metro and this picture caught my eyes!

The girl is soooooo cute!!! Look at the tiny feet trying to climb onto the bed!! So cute!

So girl and looks so english and nice and sweet!! The tiny fists pulling herself up onto the bed while the not strong legs trying to push herself up... hahahaha.... so cute!!!

I wonder if next time my kids will do this kind of adorable things?

Oh this picture is in the latest edition of "Metropolis" where they are trying to advertise their bed linen.

Arghhh!!! I think I sort of went children crazy the last few weeks.

Bear with me.

It IS a phrase that shall soon be over, I hope.

Saturday, December 30

What do you have for me, Mr Postman?

Got a couple of mails today when Hubby brought the mails home and this was addressed to me.

I figured that it's the Clarins membership card anyway since I am waiting for it. And true enough it is.
So, 1 more card to my growing collection of cards. Their card not bad looking, looks very "environmental" with a drop of water on a leaf. haha.. I got a "surprise" card from them too. That I can use on my next visit and get a surprise gift. Whatever that is... I wonder if it's acutally my birthday surprise treat since the card is valid till Feb 27 next year or is it a welcome gift? Anyway, wait and see la.

I'm not sure if there's any other things that I wanna get from Clarins. Since all these skincare can lasts forever before buying the next bottle/tube/tub. And I just got from them in Nov so now, everything is still almost brand new!

But anyway, if any of you needs the card, let me know lor, will gladly lend you! =)

ME now browing thru the Clarins webby and thinking of what to get...hahaha... WOMEN!!!

Friday, December 29

3 more days.

Just 3 more days and we will be ushering in 2007.

That makes me another year older, it also marks the start of my course. Which is going to be a mad rush for the 1st semester, I forsee.

With the arrival of 2007, that also marks the 2nd year of marriage to hubby. And again, I forsee, the endless questions of "when are you 2 having babies?" back in full force come CNY when we meet our relatives on a yearly basis.

It should also be when OBIL is planning for his wedding? The year where YBIL enters NTU, the year where I enter into Uni SIM, the year where sis will graduate from NTU, the year where hubby will enter Uni SIM too.

Sounds like quite a lot of happenings for the new year.

Yes, I'm getting nervous as the new year creeps nearer and nearer. It's been ages since I last went back to school, listening to lectures, doing tutorials, assignments, projects and the worse of all, EXAMS!!!

GOSH.... Before I've even started, I'm getting the cold feet. Die lar! How???

I'm feeling the stress not just course of the exams but also, just yesterday, Bro and Emma had to make a trip down to campus to sign on the dotted lines to be my surites. They have read thru the terms and conditions and while they were reading, I stole glimses of it as well.

Not harsh nor is the company being unreasonable in the conditions. But after they've signed, I feel even mre stressed. It makes it just look so much more formal and confirmed and if I break the bond, I'm dead and trapped kind of feeling.

I guess, I'm pretty normal? Who will not be stressed with all these right? I'm facing this, but others will be facing other different things? I don't think I should be overly affected by it, YET, anyway.

Anyway, I should just lift up this to the Lord, along with my pek chek-ness at members of my family in law!

Wednesday, December 27

COACH

Oh la la!!!!

How else to cheer myself up?! Of course, go and look at some of my favourite things. Shoes, clothes, bags... and my latest craze is over this... COACH.

These 2 caught my fancy...

The SOHO

The WristletNice? =)

I kinda like this wristlet too.. But is it too sweet pinky?

Hmmm... Shall I request for one of these for Vday and another for Bday? Or shall I ask for 1 of these for Vday and then the digital camera for Bday?? Hahah... Poor hubby...

Maybe, I should just say either one of these OR a digital camera for both Vday & Bday la.

See?! Such a good wife!

After 2 days, I'm still...

After 2 SOLID days, after all the suggestions, after all the advises, after all the bitching, after all the fuming and endless hours of playing the whole scene again and again and again in my mind, reahearsing the speeches over and over and over, I'm NOT proud to say that I'm still bloody darn pissed off at YBIL!

I know I should not be feeling like this, I know I should forgive him, I know I should not be holding on to this grudge and let it keep eating at me. I know I should let it flow over me and not let it bother me. I know I should "just forget about it" and don't keep harping on it.

But, I realised I can't. As much as I wanted to, I can't. The moment I think of them, the whole scene just keeps coming back to hunt me. I know I should have offered up the whole thing to God. I did! I really did. But I guess, I did not offer it up totally?

If not, why else am I still feeling so darm negative at him? And the more I think, the more upset I am at my PIL too. How can they as parents, let their son behave like that and NOT say anything at all?!

Hubby says I should not be pissed at his parents. Coz his parents have already told him and already taught him how to behave. But it's not their fault that YBIL behaved like that.

What RUBBISH!!!!

PIL did not say a single word throughout the whole thing lor! SO much for being parents and have taught their children right?!

Ok, I admit, I'm probably incohorent here. Coz I'm soooo fuming mad that I just blab everything out.

Argg!!!

Give me a few more days, I should be back to my old self by then.

Monday, December 25

What a MERRY merry Christmas!

Had presents from so many people this year!

Thank you all!! =) Hubby and I manage to stop ourselves from tearing them open the minute we got it. We managed to wait till Christmas NIGHT to open it lei. What an acheivement for us! hahaha..

I got 2 books, bathing things, candles, and also paper weight. Not to forget the MP3 player that I got weeks ago! What a haul! hahaha..

A merry merry christmas if not for the behaviour of my YBIL. I want to have a nice time with my family in law too. And yet, in the end, what did I bring myself? Lots of pent up feelings and pissed off at him after the dinner.

Can refer to here to read the full story.

I've bitched to hubby, my sis and another 2 friends. But I AM still feeling pissed! Damn!

Tri told me to adjust myself to their behaviour. Sis told me to be thankful that at least Hubby agrees with me. Wise told me to forget it since it's already over. Hubby said nothing.

It's true that I "married into" hubby's family. But that certainly DOES NOT mean that I got to tolerate these damn behaviour IN MY OWN house right?!

DAMN!! DAMN!!! DAMN!!!!

WWJD? WWJD?? WWJD??!!!

ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

Garden of Dreams.

Was at the Garden Festival earlier today. And my goodness!! There's really sooo many kinds of flowers in Suntec that we spent like a grand total of 4 hours there! There's soooo many different kinds of floral arrangements on displayed! I kind of don't know where to start looking. But since the 'welcome notes' says start at level 6, for the international displays. We started from there. Woah! It was impressive... But momsy was a little disappointed. She expected real life plants / flowers GROWING from pots not just arrangments. But still, we spend close to an hour there.

All looked pretty much the same to me, since I'm no gardener and not much of a nature lover. But the display of Garden of Eden and the Nativity sence caught my eyes! The Garden of Eden hmm... looks abit "cheena" to me. I imagined it to be slighly different. At least there should not be so many erm... "human look alike" kind of lenterns hanging on trees? Reminds me of some spooky chinese shows lei. But I like the colours. =)

Isn't this nice? The Nativity scene is so huge from where I was. But my camera does not do it justice much too lar.

We had a simple lunch in Just Noodles and then went on to shop around before heading back to the garden festival. Lunch is ok. Not fanastic.

But we were all too hungry for me to take any pics. I had the soft shell & Teriyaki chicken set. Momsy had the Teriyaki chicken ramen set and sis had the Fried Chicken Set. We also ordered extra dishes to go with it. We had extra fried chicken, BBQ wings, Eda Name beans.

The set comes with free flow of drinks and we all had coffee to go with it. Not bad lor. But end up, we were all soooo stuffed out that we almost cannot finish the food! But, still we stuffed ourselves silly. And I still have another BBQ to go tonite and it will be another feast!!

I wanted to buy a jacket for myself for use in the cold office.

I saw one when I was with Trina yesterday at IP Zone with Tri. But coz they did not have my size and I kind of still did not really like it much, but when I passed by the same store again, I dragged my momsy in. She said it's nice. hmm... welll.. since 2 persons told me nice, then should be nice even though I don't really think so right?

Was prepared to go and pay for it when another jacket caught my eye. And this one IS perfect! Coz it's black and with just a small logo in yellow which makes it easier for me to wear in office. End up, I got another 2 pieces of racer backs together with the jacket.

Brought my momsy to Carrefour to take a walk too since it's not everyday that my mom goes to town. She went.. woah! So big! haha.. Abit the sua ku hor.. But then again, my mom works almost everyday and she's not the shopping kind of person, so it's no wonder she has never been there lor.

Went back to the garden thingy and this time, we were at level 4. Where all the local and asian Orchids were on display. My mom had a whale of a time here. She simply love all the various orchids growing FROM the pots. hahaha... Took so many shots till the camera went dead!

These are some of my favourites...

the purple orchids looks normal but hey! The petals are all twised like a spiral!! Unique! I like.

Vivo City again

My 2nd visit to Vivocity this afternoon with my good pal, Trina.

And would you believe it, we found Vivo boring? Yes, B-O-R-I-N-G! We walked thru and found nothing interesting.

Think I'm loosing my knack for shopping.

All we did was had lunch at Thai Express and then coffee at Pacific Coffee. What I enjoyed was the chat.

Nothing else.

Plans. (Super LONG post!)

You know what they say about planning for the future and plan your studies schedule and plan your financial means etc etc etc. Basically, it's plan plan plan all the way lar. Since young till now, from studies, to work, to financial, to everything!

So YES! I've decided to head this timeless advise. I've made plans. Tonnes of them! All for this coming festive Christmas and best of all, ALL to be completed within the weekend!

Friday
To bring some festive cheer to my family, I've decided that I will be Ms Santarina on Friday evening. Delivering the presents that I've prepared for my sisters to them and also to stay for dinner at home. Coz it's the big and grand "Dong Zhi." According to my granny, she said Dong Zhi is even bigger than CNY. I don't really understand what she means but anyway, so be it.

Saturday
I will be bringing my mom and youngest sis to...

Yups! The Singapore Garden Festival.

This year, will not be able to have dinner with my family, and I also don't know what present to get for my mom.

And by a bright spark, I've thought of buying her 2 tickets to the Garden Festival. She can then ask her sis or friend or anyone to go with her. But, she can't find anyone to go and then she disappointedly told me she cannot go.

I thought about it, and then I offered to go with her. She sounded thrilled. Then later this afternoon, my youngest sis also sms me and said she want to go. So ok lor, I got 3 tickets @ $8 each. I was surprised at the costs. Since I saw from the Sistic website that it costs $12 + $1 (booking thru Sistic) per ticket. But the lady explained to me that coz I'm a PA card member, there's discount. ORH! I din even realise, I had this privilage! haha..

So that done. Saturday, for the better part of the day, find me in Suntec level 4 and 6 for the Garden Festival.

Following the exhibition, hubby and I are invited to a BBQ in the evening. Supposed to reach at about 7pm. I don't think it's a problem since I will be with my mom, hubby has some meeting with his friends. So we each have our own programmes till we meet up for the BBQ. *When was the last time we actually went for BBQ to eat BBQ-ed food?* Can't remember. Been ages since we last BBQ-ed.

Sunday
This must be my most holy day of the entire year! Will be going for 11.30 am mass for the weekly obligation. Then over the short time span of this morning, Lynn, Carmen & myself have agreed to go for lunch after mass. And at first what seems like a small group soon turned out to be something like 20 people as of last count! I think that's close to half of our RCIA class.

If all works out, we will be heading to Dome @ Bishan for our lunch. I hope the manager, Shelly is able to book the place for us. Have already called her but she needs to check and get back to me.

Before agreeing to the lunch plans, Emma, hubby & me have already agreed to go catch a movie. We wanted to go watch "The Nativiy Story" but it's not screening on 24 Dec!

Argg!!

So we decided on "Night at the Museum" instead. 3 tickets for the 3 of us for the 7pm show.

We will meet up early for dinner, then the show, and if time allows, we can have coffee (for the caffine?) to stay awake for the Christmas Mass following the show.

And yups, after the movie, we will be going to church for midnight Mass. =)

Began and ended my day in church. Isn't that holy?! hahaha...

Monday
Finally, Christmas Day!

Another morning in Church for the actual day Christmas celebrations and then no plans made for lunch yet. But probably will just go and have a simple lunch after all these sinful indulgences over the week.

Hubby and me got to NTUC in J8 to collect our pre-ordered ribs and ham. Then probably need to get some items to make dinner with. For dinner, we are going to do it at home. My family in law inclusive of OBIL's gf is gng to come over to our plc to celebrate Christmas. Can't really confirm what we will serve though the menu is pretty fixed.

That brings an end to our festive weekend! Did I make a good plan for hubby and I this year?

Think I did lei! hahaha

Well, having made all these plans is not enough, I got to physically call and make reservations at Dome for 20 persons, need to get tickets for the movie and also the Garden Festival.

The easiest was therefore to go to J8 after work and get it done. And since Hubby was off to meet his $$ mastery friends for some discussions, the best time was for me to go and get it today. Off I went to J8 to get all my items. After buying all that is necessary, I was walking around looking for things that catches my eye and really. NOTHING.

But, the surprising thing was I bump into my sister! She was there to look for some last mintue christmas presents for her friends. We shopped together then. She finally bought some precious moments keychains. Quite nice. But too 'plastic' for my liking. But I bought a magnet that says "The family that prays together stays together." Very nice. It's now on my fridge. Last year, I bought the "Give us today our daily bread." haha.. Nice verses isn't it?!

Since we both had not taken our dinner, we went for dinner at Yoshinoya. They had some Christmas combo going on. Sis had the Hoki fish set while I had their beef set. Came with 2 sticks of meatballs, miso soup and the rice set. As usual, their rice + miso soup is not bad.. but their meatballs is really really horrible!

Bleh!!!

We then took a look at the other tables, almost every table has the meatballs untouched. Really is not nice, especially the ones with the BBQ sauce. The balls are too er..."meaty" if you get what I mean and it's C-O-L-D! Yucks!

And since the set does not come with a drink. I ordered the "Cheery Cherry + Yugurt Strawberry" set.

Let me teach you how to make this festive sounding and rather nice to look at drink, "Cheery Cherry".

Cheery Cherry
2 tablespoons of canned cocktail, drained
1 tablespoon of Nata de Coco
Ice
F&N Cherry flavoured soft drink

That's all. And do note that my recipe is definately MORE generous in the amout of "chewies" that you will get! I only got a pathetic mere 7 pieces of small fruits not to mention 0 of nata de coco. My sis was oh-so-lucky! She got a grand total of 2 pieces of nata, but I guess the number of fruits therefore reduced.

N oh, Yogurt Strawberry. Just use a spoon, dig out the insides of the strawberry, add in yogurt, freeze it. Wolia! There you have it. But for goodness sake, choose BIGGER and RIPER and FRESHER strawberries!!!

Not that I have anything against Yoshinoya. Their rice bowl are still good as usual. But the additionals... maybe better to stick to things like "Sprite, Coke, Ice Lemon Tea..." you get my drift? And desserts, I guess MOS's strawberries are definately more appealing and according to my sister, 100% nicer!

Chatted and after such a disappointing dinner, we headed home. And I saw Jerome's 3rd uncle & his wife + their 3 grandchildren on the bus. I was not really sure if that's them hence did not address them till we got down at the same bus stop.

Even though the dinner was such a disappointment, I still finished everything except the meatballs. And there I was bitching this afternoon that I ought to stop eating so much and all these sinful food! =_="

Chatted as we walk on nothing of importance. 3rd uncle and aunt are friendly people and they cannot really be sure of who I am in the 1st place too. Hahah... we seldom see each other, that's why. But I'm pretty sure by Monday, FIL will be asking me if I've met them on the bus. hahaha...

Oh!! Yes!! Christmas is a few more days and look what I've got?

2 Christmas presents!!! Ok lar, me "acting excited" here. Got these 2 today. From my ex ex sup and current sup. I'm sure 1 of it is a plush toy. Probably a handphone holder of sorts. The other, I've no idea what it is. Feels quite heavy. Maybe some decoration thing. I also gave them theirs today. I got to ask my boss (of course also gave boss his present lar if not, no give him and ask him help pai sey right?!!) to help me pass ex ex sup's present to her coz I've missed her when she came to campus. No choice lor, looks unsincere but I'm not going to make a trip to her office in "Ang Sua" (Redhill) or to her plc in Bukit Timah! Boss and her are condo neigbours (staying at different blocks of condo) and boss agreed. Hengz!

Take a look at our Christmas tree now! Doesn't it looks full of presents?! I've placed the present for hubby near the tree too and he was sooo excited when he saw it earlier. He wanted to open it immediately. But I made him wait for Christmas! haha...

Oh, we shall have fun on Monday morning when we unwrapped our presents!

Ok, end of post. Super long post, isn't it?! Gosh.. So luo suo! But, I promise there will be more updates over the week! And did I mention that I'm on leave starting now?! ALL the way till NEXT year!

Yeah!!!!

No need to wake up early anymore till next year! No need to go to office till next year too!!! HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!

I ought to STOP!

OMGoodness!

Another good and nice and sinful and simply heavenly lunch!

Gosh...

Before the holiday is even here, I'm begining to pig out!!!

Monday was Macdonalds, yesterday was Cafe Cartel. Today is this!

Botak Jones!!!!

I had their "Giant Chicken Sausages" and it was simply delicious!

It's really giant lei. The length of the sausage is as long as my fork! If you strighten the ends, it should be even longer.

Woah! Nice!!!

In fact, Irene and me were like craving this since Monday.

But Botak Jones is closed on Mondays and Tuesday was pouring buckets of heavenly water.

Finally the sun is out today and we could go. Yay!!! Along the way, Aw also joined us. Together, we just took a cab and whiz down.

Since Botak Jones is so near to PIL's plc, hubby joined us for lunch too. Irene and me were too busy eating to talk to any of the guys much. But they were having a good time talking about don't-know-what. hahaha

And guess what? I met Lynn there too. Was just on MSN and her last message was "bye, gng to AMK for lunch" ever did I expect it to be Botak Jones too lor.

hahah..

Good lunch! Most enjoyable!

Tuesday, December 19

Sinful Breakfast, sinful lunch, sinful all the way.

Hmm... My title sounds abit like the Christmas carol, "Jingle Bells." Must be the festive mood getting to me already. =)

Guess what I had for breakfast today?

THIS!

Chocolate coated Digestive Biscuits from Marks & Spencers.

I tell you, it's heavenly!!!

The chocolate is rich and not too sweet and the digestive biscuits is filling and crumbly.

I've always love digestive biscuits. And now coupled with another love of mine, chocolate, wow... The combination is simply superb!

I ate like 4 slices in 1 sitting and I could have taken more but I thought I should save some for the next day and also for my next craving when I need some chocolate fix.

Irene and me went to Bishan J8, Cafe Cartel for lunch. Despite the weather being cold and wet. We wanted something hot and soupy. The nearest to campus is Cartel. Hence, not much of a choice. Went there again. I soooo simply love their homemade bread! It's soooo good! I had the main course which is a huge portion of a roasted chicken tigh and drumstick in sweet and spicy sauce, yet, I still managed somehow to fill in another 7 or 8 pieces of their bread!

*burb* Excuse me! Boy! What a satisfying lunch!

On a different note, this rain has been falling since yesterday afternoon. There is NO signs of letting up. Everytime the rain seems to get smaller, it will always be followed by a bout of heavy rain mintues later. As I was going to work this morning, I heard that some roads are flooded and there were also accidents on the various roads. I thought it was the low visibility rate and also that the drivers were careless.

But, it's me whose wrong, as we listen to the news, then we realised the seriousness of the amount of water that has taken control over the Singapore Roads! Honestly, in my entire life, I've never seen this much of water flooding our local roads! The last I heard when I came home this evening what that some road somewhere, the water has reach WAIST level! Can you imagine this happening in Sunny Singapore?!

Incredous!

But I'm not very sorry to see or rather feel the rain falling. I love wet weather. It's good to go to sleep in, good to wake up in (or rather darn hard to pull myself out of bed!) good to be in and outdoors. Coz it's so cooling!

I've heard that some people are depressed by gloomy weather. But I like it. I like the coolness that comes with rain. The freshness of the trees, the clear sky that always comes after the rain.

Maybe I am a gloomy person? I don't know.

hahaha... But, for the sake of the BBQ, I really hope that the rain will stop on Saturday night. And meanwhile, I would love it if it can continue falling for the next few days. How I wish I can take leave from tomorrow onwards so as to stay home to enjoy the cool weather!

Bye bye kick box @ Specialist

This post is out-dated. But I was feeling rather depressed hence the late post. And the reasons for my 'depression' was due to....
1) This will be the last time that I go.
2) Spent lots of $$ at Marks & Spencers again.
3) Raining when I stepped out of my house but after my class, no rain. -_-" I was carrying a big plastic bag from Marks & Spencer, my work out bag AND an umbrella!

I had my LAST kick box session in Specialist Centre on Thursday. =(

How the centre looks like. Not great but kind of grow to like it already ma.

Seems that Specialist is gng to be pulled down for some re-development and the Dance Arts are gonna shift to Funan Centre come Jan 08. Sad lei. Further for me now!

Come to think of it, I've been doing KickBox for at least 1.5 years now. Started coz I wanna slim down for my wedding last year and then after the wedding, I like what the instructor, Philip does and continued. Without realising, it's already more than a year. The place is kind of old and parts of the paint is like peeling and all. But it's a comfortable place and the fees are reasonable too. With the new shift, not sure if the fees are gonna increase.

Somemore, next year, I may not even have the chance to go, with my studies starting and all. Just wait and see. I stil have about 5 more sessions before I end my package. If I cannot finish, then it will end up in Mr Bin.

And on a completely different and oppsite note. Anyone will think that I am a health nut and will not take snacks or anything like that.

You cannot be MORE wrong. I'm a junk food addict! I simply LOVE all kinds of junk food! The junkier the better! haha..

I've read about the reviews on the Dark Chocolate Digestive biscuits from Marks & Spencers. Have been wanting to try for ages but whenever I go with Hubby, he will stop me.

Hence, no chance to try at all! But that day, since Hubby was not with me, and I was in M&S to do more of my shopping spree again. I really cannot resists it anymore!!!

I got it!

I got the Dark Chocolate Digestive biscuits AND as if it's not sinful enough, I HAD to get their chocolate chip cookies. Not my fault. I just wanted the digestive biscuits. But there was a sale! The chocolate chips were going at $6 for 2 packets! Being a chocolate anything fan, how could I refuse?!

Verdict? The chcoclate chip is abit too hard. But nice. Crispy and nice! Full of chocolately goodness in every single bite and chew! I've yet to try the Dark Chocolate Digestive biscuits at this moment though. But I'm such a chocolate fan. I'm sure it will be good!

Sunday, December 17

A load or rather surety OFF my mind.

Finally!

I got my 2 sureties.

Emma signed the dammed form this morning after mass. I was still kinda afraid that she will back out. But, hey!! Thank God, she even asked me before the mass started that she needs to sign something for me.

So, yups, it's done. The 2nd surety issue is solved. Now to wait for her payslip and also dear Bro to come over to sign the form. I know I should go to him for his signature. But, he asked hubby to buy something for him and Bro volunteered to come over to collect and pay and sign the form. So just as well.

Hope he comes over soon.

I need to hand in the form this Friday.

Saturday, December 16

Look at all these!

For the last few days, I've been very busy buying and wrapping presents, buying and wrapping presents, yet, still buying and wrapping MORE presents.

Look at what I've manage to acheive after all those buying and wrapping, buying and wrapping...
Quite alot of presents, don't you think so?!

These are all for my close friends, relatives among others... Some are not even in yet! Like my sisters' presents, Hubby's Godpa's present. I think I pretty much covered the rest though. The Gold, White and Silver wrapper is from Ikea. Nice hor? Quite classy and yet, not too Chrismasy.
And would you believe it? I finished the whole darn roll of wrapper which I think is about 5M!!!

I did all these myself. Not that it is exceptionally pretty or anything. But to be honest, I get a kick out of wrapping presents. I enjoy wrapping presents. Hubby claims that it's not normal. haha.. But I really do love doing it.

You have heard of some who said that baking, cooking is therapeutic?? For me, I think the most therapeutic thing is to wrap boxes and boxes of presents! haha..

Weird as it may sound, but it's seriously fun!

Praise Lord!!

I've finally found the 2nd person to be my surety!!

Thank God for that. I was praying this before I went to bed last nite and then this morning, after yoga, after breakfast, after marketing, I finally plucked up enough courage to give her a call, to check on our "Nativity Story" date on Christmas Eve and then I asked her.

She said...

"Can, no problem, sign my name only mar, as long as you don't run."

Thank God!! I was so happy!

Now, I've found 2 persons to sign on that blessed form and I don't have to think about it anymore.

Moral of the story?

God hears ALL our prayers and He has everything planned out! =)

Another empty half day.

Was on half day leave today coz took half day and went shopping with my colleague, Irene. I was so excited at the prospect of going shopping that I can't wait to go off!!

But! Coz I was away on MC for the last 2 days, when I came back to office this morning, gosh.... I was swarmed with work and phone calls!!! Teacher, colleagues, vendors and also my friend. Teacher and colleagues are quite normal in my line. Vendors are also nothing to be alarmed about especially since I has just requested to buy an item thru the Gov biz webby. Vendors are bound to call. But what surprises me is call from my friend, actually also nothing to be alarmed about. Coz we have been on MSN very often and I should have expected her call soon since she did say she will call me to check with me on the Uni SIM enrollment.

And all too soon it was NOON! I did not wait for one more second before I flew out of the office! And you know what? My office mate, Ah Teck told me, "See you next year!" I was like huh?! Then he told me, he's on leave till after Christmas but I'm on leave during the Christmas week. So DANG!! I'll get to see him only in 20007!!

Anyway, Irene and me had a great time today! We were craving for Carl's Jr and we were thinking of either Marina, Suntec or PS... Finally, we decided on PS. Carl's was packed but yet we managed to find a nice cozy corner and tucked ourselves there. That corner would have been great if there was no echo. haha... But it was good. I finally know what the yummy looking fries is called now. "Cheese dog fries" (I think!) But I swear if I see the name again, I will know what it's called. Being Friday, I had their fish sandwich. Nice. I think their fish is nicer than the rest of the sandwiches which I've eaten so far. =)

We tooked a scroll down to Centrepoint, Irene is looking for a dress to attend her sis's wedding so we shopped around. Nice dress comes with an eye-popping price tag. She tried on a few but well din manage to get any. And I have decided that I dislike shopping with anyone with fits into size "S"! Makes me feel darn darn fat!!! =(

But I did manage to get something from Centrepoint too lei! I got a pair of slippers from Mphosis. After the 20%, it's only $10.92! Cheap and nice. I have intentions of putting it in office since my pair is old and worn and spoilt! Just nice! Now, I just need a warm jacket so that I can throw the current one away.

We then walked down to Taka, din buy anything, but finally, manage to get somethings for my 2 little princes. Bought 2 boxes of jigsaw puzzles for them.

Lucas's set comes with the "floor" and "3D Dinosaurs" that can move around. Ryan's set is just a plain 9 piece jigsaw, forming a pic of elephant and chicken on both sides.

Nice, cute, colourful and Boy BOY stuff!! How many girls you know, you will get jigsaw puzzles or Dianosaurs??!

I hope the boys will like it. =)

Other than that, nothing! Such a disappointment to be shopping in town and ended up with near to empty hands! *bleh*

Crossed the road to Metro and went to get some roller eye thingy from Lab Series for her guy. GOSH!! I never knew that mens' skincare is so costly too!

That small bottle of roller eye thingy costs a freaking $54!!! My, my, I thought only women will spend so much! But now I know, there are men who are willing to pay that much to maintain their skin too. Gosh!!!

Instant Moisture Eye Gel
Cool hydrating gel in a convenient rollerball applicator helps revive tired, stressed-looking eyes.
Helps diminish the look of puffiness and fine lines.
Refreshes and soothes the eye area.
Ophthamologist-tested.
To use: Every morning and/or evening, gently glide rollerball around eye area 2 or 3 times. Gently pat dry into skin.

Walked down to CK Tangs after that, and guess what??

I saw the Toscano wallet that seems to be out of stock everywhere!

I was still thinking, buy? Don't buy? Irene says, go ahead. It's nice and my current Guess is spoilt anyway.

SO, nothing to wait anymore, got it! Nice! It comes with a tiny Organizer Cover, which I don't really like, but I guess, can try to auction it away in Yahoo? But I love, LOVE the wallet!

(Can see from the photo that it's in a gift box right? Taken with the slippers that I bought from Centrepoint earlier.)

I have not changed out my current wallet yet, should I wait till after Christmas or should I make the change now huh?
Cannot decide lei. I was thinking, if no one wants the organizer skin, then I'll go and buy those plain or lined paper and then I can carry it around with me. Looks darn classy lor!

Irene got the Clinique eye set. She saw the brochure that it was selling at $62 at Tangs. But everywhere, we looked it was selling at $72. But when we reached Tangs, it was at $72 too! Then we realised (when the sales person told us) that the brochure was printed with error. So no choice lor, since she like it, she got it but Tangs give 6% rebate to cardholder, so still got abit of discount, which is definately more than Taka and Robinsons.

After all the walking and purchases, we decided to call it a day. I went to Far East to take the bus home and Irene went to the MRT station. Not a bad day. But once again, I'm $150 more empty in the wallet department.

Did some housework and hubby and I decided to go J8 for a walk. Since, J8 is going to be holding their midnight sale tomorrow, we went to "aim" for what we want to get. hahaha... Din aim much but Popular has some books that I would like to lay my hands on. Will go back tomorrow to check it all out.

Then while paying all the credit card bills at AXS, a sudden bright spark cross my mind and I decided to sms Wiselyn to see if they are still in J8 coz they told me that they are coming to J8 to do their Christmas shopping. Well, I was kind of expecting them to be having their coffee at Dome or something, to our surprise, they were at Level 4, so of course we met up for coffee.

Went to Coffee bean and well, Coffee Bean's "Belgium Chocolate" is not so nice. Still like the "Chocolate Paradise" by Pacific Coffee Club. Chatted with them and just got home. Bathe and all and I just cannot stay away from the tablet to blog.
All in all, it was another emptying day for me in the wallet department. But I'm happy to do it!

I'll update the photos another time. Now, I'm dead beat!!

Good nite!

BTW, my cousin cannot be my surety. I need 1 more person. Will try OBIL and Godma and another friend from CTK!

Edited on 16 Dec with photos.

Thursday, December 14

Finally, 1 down. 1 more to go.

*whew*

Manage to get 1 of my friends to be my surety for the bond.

Still need 1 more.

Have already asked my cousin, waiting for him to get back, coz he said that he's in the army and Mindef may not allowed. If worse comes to worse, think I will have to ask OBIL.

Don't really like to ask him coz like will be in his favour like that lor. Sian.

Who else can I ask? My sis, she cannot coz she has her own study loan to service. Hubby also cannot, coz in between jobs now, Tri, I also can't coz her work starting next week. Colleagues cannot at all, coz one of the clause says "employees of XXX" cannot. Have also asked my friends, but they not comfortable with it. So I won't force them.

So how? Family wise, left OBIL lor. But I really don't really like the idea lei.

Pray that my cousin can and that will resolve all the issues. =)

Oh! BTW, we got invited to a BBQ on 23 Dec. =) happy happy.. I like BBQ food. Not the fire. And it's fun to have such gatherings during the Christmas season. Very nice and heart warming lor. Looking forward to it. Meanwhile, I must make sure that I recover and not be down again!

Wednesday, December 13

sheesh...

The news yesterday must have affected me deeply. So deep was the news imprinted (though I did not realised) that my gastric acted up again.

I swear that our body is the best guage of anything unpleasant or happy. Weather if we've been working too hard, too stressed out or happy.

I think recently, without myself knowing, I've added lots of stress on myself. Come to think of it, Ive been worried about school opening, OH07, JAE, EW07 and also exams... Also was concerned abt Hubby's job status. Not to mention, once a while, my sisters will give me a small shock/scare, my BIL's continue to be what they are and I'm also carrying the burden of OBIL's GF, which I must add, is NONE OF MY bloody business. No idea why, I'm still holding on to this!

ARGG!!!

With all these things on my mind, no wonder my stomach acted up. Already felt the cramps 2 days ago but I just took some medicine and it went away. But this morning, I just felt that I cannot wake up and stomach is rumbling and churning. There and then I know that, I'm down again.

So went to the doctor and gosh!!! SOOOOO many people were there! I thought at 10.20am, there should not be so much crowd (that's why, I allowed myself to wake up later than normal at about 10am!! I really tried to wake up earlier but I can't. My body and eyes just refuse to obey my brain) and my goodness... I spent at least 40 mintues just on waiting to go in to see the doctor. And as usual, it took less than 5 mins for me to come out later.

Waited another few minutes for me to take my medicine. MY GOODNESS!!! She is darn expensive!! It costs me a freaking $52 just for 4 kind of medicine! But the good thing is, I have a 2 days MC, which covers today and tomorrow. So out of the $52, $10 will be claimed from office, which means is $42 for the 4 medicine and 2 days MC.

I guess it's not so bad then.

Hubby is down too. Poor thing. He has flu and is slightly feverish and poor thing, he still went for a job interview schedule at 3pm @ Changi area... So far. Poor thing lor. Not well, still have to go so far in the sun.

I also asked the doctor for fever medicine for Hubby. If he does not get well in another few days time, he will have to go and see the doctor too.

Luckily, this is the lull period for me at work, else, sick also cannot be in peace! But, there is something that I am cheerful about. Besides the 2 days MC, when I go back to work, it willbe Friday. And Friday, I'm gng shopping with Irene. =)

Very HAPPY!

Wose piece of news for this year.

The year is drawing to a close and the year has pass by quite normally till I have to receive this piece of news....

O Level exams probably in Oct 07. Which means results released will be in Jan 08. Which means OH08 will be either super early Jan 08 or late Dec 07. Either way, my Christmas 07 will be ruined.

This is sad ok. Before this year's Christmas is even over, I got to know that I got to slog next year.

Not bad enough for next year?

Throw in:
Open House & studies in Jan,
JAE & studies in Feb, studies in Mar,
Engg Week, discovery week & studies in Apr/May
and to top it off,
EXAMS in May too!

Then studies in Jul,
visits and studies in Aug,
studies and discovery week in Sep/Oct.
Studies in Oct.
EXAMS in Nov!!!

Happy New Year to me!

edited to add: Sup says if the EW is really in Apr/May period, I should speak to boss and see if he can find me some help so that I can start to train up another person while I take on a more supervisory role. I'm not sure if I am happy to hear this piece of news. I should be glad that my sup and boss are caring and that they will give me the necessary support. But, I suddenly feel that my post will be taken over by another person. I should be happy that I can move "up" and take another bigger role. Maybe it is the quietness around me that made me think so much. Maybe it is my fear of loosing my job that made me think so much. Maybe it is the added stress that made me think so much? I don't know.

New supply of EYES.

New year brings about new year resoultions (not that I keep to any that I made anyway. Think I must have made countless ones over all my 20+ years! Things like loose weight, better results, better temper, more savings yadda yadda... and with the passing of each year, I think I have not made any improvements at all.) Anway, this blog is not about new year resolutions... (I wonder how many people still does it and REALLY keep to it?)

But one of the inveitable things that comes with new year is new clothes, parties, feasting and in my case, new supply of eyes too. =(

Just bought these over the weekend. Grand total of 13 pairs for the entire year. Why 13? Coz the 13th pair is FOC that the auntie gave me when I made my purchase.

I used to buy my lens from Arion but he got married and shifted so far and when I compared, he's not charging me any lesser than what I can get from the stall near my home, with the same freebies so might as well just get from the shop.

Well, B&L changed their packagin packaging. The box used to be slimmer and flatter. Now it's so big.

Sigh... along with my cosmestics, clothes and feasting, this is just another thing that adds to my already close-to-empty-purse!

I need a sponsor!!!

Test.. test...

Erm... I changed to Blogger BETA just a few minutes ago.

Is it better? Got any difference????

*kinda nervous * What if I *horrors* LOST all my posts?!

If there's anything to be done, I will shout "Help! Help!" so do bear with any mismatched grapics, text, anything!

And BTW, I'm on PM leave today later. Will be hitting the town with Hubby. I'm having such a good time! Monday on PM leave and was with Godma and Brother for a good lunch. Later with hubby and then next Friday, I'm on PM leave again, this time hitting the town (not sure which part) with Irene.

Woo Hoo!!!

Necessary?

Irene was telling me that the Creative online stall is having a promotion for their stick-ons. Either a 2-in-1 at $3 or a 4-in-1 at $5. Quite cheap hor, so went in to take a look.

Then browse thru and looked at their designs. So so only lei. Though cheaper than normal but like not very nice lor. Either too loud, too stripy or too cute.

And the series which I like, is out of stock. Bleh!

I like this series, "Chic" actually, I only like the pink hearts not even the rest of the series. Can I just buy that particular piece? U reckon?

I think not possible la hor.. But nice lor, the Pink Hearts. =) Somemore can match my neeon, since mine is red. Kind of match lar.

Almost a long weekend.

I could have had a long weekend. And I ALMOST had it! That is, if I had applied the morning off as well today.

I had last Friday afternoon off, but in the morning, I had dental then followed by a good long lunch wif boss so I din even step foot into office on Friday. But coz, my leave are all ultised, so I can only spare a half day today.

It was a good day. Had lunch with Godma and Bro at a japanese restaurant - Amanmgawa @ Raffles City, B1. Food is good and cheap, some more no service charge, no GST! woo hoo.. Then we each bought a beard papa cream puff and settle down in Ben & Jerry's ice cream palour and chatted the afternoon away.

That is the life, man. Tai tai lifestyle. Godma is even more so tai tai! After meeting us, she will fly to Aust in the 8pm flight on a 3 week holiday! Can you beat that?! Wah... Bro and me are so envious!

Bro is on company time, so he had to go back, while Godma and me decided to just roam around. We bought nothing but hey... just the thought of shopping on a weekday is good enough to set us in super duper happy moods. Like Tai Tais that do not need to work or have a care or worry. We are just plain enjoying ourselves lor!

Asked Godma to help me buy the Estee Lauder christmas set lips gloss from the airport, since, it's duty free and bound to be cheaper lor. She sms me she got it already, at $60.50.. woah! Happy, some more, she says 1 of the shades is not available from the retail stores. Coz airport, so it's special. Wah.. happy lor.

But I have 1 comment, my Godma is really a shopping queen. Before, she has even boarded the plane, before she even left SG, she has burst another $550! Gosh!! In airport, Estee!

I really got to hand it to her, man!

But, then again, if given the chance, I think I can easily acheive that as well. hahaha..

Gng to bed now. Long day. Nite!

No need to wait anymore!

Guess what?

I'm typing this from home! Yups!! Went to SITEX earlier today and hubby and me signed up for the internet connection, we took up the starhub cable connection and we are entittled to a desktop plus a free phone line! Good!! Now I don't have to wait till I go back to office before I can blog or go online!

Did quite a few things today leh.

Dental in the morning (which costs us a grand total of $400 for the both of us!!!!), then had lunch with boss, ex ex sup, ex sup & current sup in Marche then rushed down to Changi expo for the SITEX. Had a seafood dinner in JB, Malaysia. Stole a few glances at future ta sao's bro. Then headed home.

Not ended yet. Still had to clean the house so that we can be free from doing all these over the weekend and can rest & rest. Somemore, my mom is back from China and tomorrow we shall go over for dinner. =)

Tested out the modem and to our suprise, we are connected already. Wasted no time in typing my virgin entry from home now. Not bad leh. Their service. Though we waited in the queue for almost 2 solid hours JUST to sign up for the connection, their activation service is really fast leh! We only manage to get the set and made payment at close to 5pm, and when we reached home at about 10pm, plucked in and PRESTO! we are connected already.

Woah! Fast service leh!

And also, we got a sure-win-lucky-dip. What we got? A notebook, with compliments from Starhub. And hor, by sign up with Starhub, we got a $40 Sakae sushi and also an additional $150 which hubby will use to upgrade the desktop. Pretty good deal I must say to sign up during the SITEX. Of course, we now need to buy a telephone, probably a cordless phone to make use of the voice enabled modem function. So now, our family can contact us via a home phone. No need to call us on our mobile all the time. Think I wanna go for 1 with the caller ID function. So, we can see whoever calls and er... I can maybe avoid answering certain callers lor.. hahaha.. CLEVER!

While in the queue, hubby helped me buy a hard disk casing for the spare disk that I have, as advised by Ah Teck. He says like that, I can have a spare hard disc since this tablet only has a 40G memory. Nice nice box and nice nice casing leh I feel. Some more hor, just at an affordable $6! But the problem now is, instead of a 60G disc, I only have like 17G memory available. Tried to format it and all, but just cannot get the max. size out! So strange lor. But nvm la, will bring to office on Monday and ask the expert to help me with it.

Lunch in Marche was free for us. Coz boss was so kind to buy us lunch further there is a 15% discount if we pay by Citibank or HSBC cards. Unfortunetely, boss don't have any of the cards so I paid first and then boss took the whole receipt with "What you all doing (we were looking at the bill and trying to figure out who ate what) give me, I'll settle with you (looked at me.)" So ok lor, since boss wanna pay, let him do it. haha.. we got free lunch. woo hoo!!

OBIL drove us all to JB for seafood dinner, food is good. We had seafood fried rice, black pepper crabs, butter prawns, lemon chicken and sambal kang kong. Nice. But all of them say the food was too spicy but I felt it was just nice only.

Since, we din have much chance to talk, the GF and I chatted for a while waiting for the men to come back from the gents. Then, since today morning, when I know that a dinner in JB was being planned, something keeps nagging me to remember to invite her to the Christmas gathering. And kind of glad that I did. She agree to come. I was kinda surprised at her readiness coz hubby says not coming ma.

The feeling that I got when she agrees and all was nothing out of the ordinary. Din feel like I'll be torturing myself. I cannot only believe that prayer really really works!

Lots mre of grandmother stories and details. Another time, more like after I bathe!

Need to bathe my smelly body now!

P.s.OK, back after my hot bath and for the pictures and details @ 12.50am
