Bad evening!

Sucks! Shd hv gone for my kickbox instead. Then don't have eyes to c hubby! He is soooooo.... (no words to descripe) Don't want to descibe also. Too bad mood to say abt this stopid husband of mine!

Went to Ang Mo after our silent dinner, grabbed milk and sme mantou for bf the next morning then went home.

Bathe and relax in front of google box.. almost fell asleep.. decided to go n slp and not wait up for him since I am still pissed.

We'll c how i feel tml when I wake up!

Farewell lunchie

Had a farewell lunchie made up of KFC chicken and Pizza Hut Pizzas. A total of 8 of us were sharing in today's lunch by the poolside.. Lomantic lunch. =) The female lead for today is Shirlynn Su..

Actually din talk much with them, probably not very close and then sun so hot, so we just sit there and enjoy the view and food.

Rested for a while and then came back to office. Then there was a small excitment to see who is the one who gave her a pressie of earrings. It's silver, the kinda tat I like a while ago, long silver, dangling.. Don't know since when I don't wear silver so much anymore. I seem to have been wearing all those beads accessories recently.

The earrings very nice on her and I think she likes it too! Good for her, I gave her my tortoise earlier this morning and she had no problems guessing who coz I had my name written there.

Bel was sharing with me, she's gonna put her pressie in the toilet!! Haha.. wish I have a video cam to capture Shir when she goes to hunt for it..haha..

Overall quite a fun day for her.. Think she is in no hurry to forget her last day here in Campus!

In 2 minds now, don't know if I should go for kickboxing.. My neck still hurts a little.. but with all the food that I have been comsuming since Christmas.. think it is definately better for me to go and do some serious exc.. Another reason Y I am kinda dreading it is coz today is gonna be a tough session... tougher than last wk and I hear we are gng to have an assestment.. Ouch!!

U guessed it, today is my 26th Birthday! =) Slightly more than a quater of a century old.

Woke up the same time today and spent extra time to doll up.. Coz tonite gng for dinner wif hubby... though married, but must still take the time to doll up when he bring me go out! =)

Reached office and I found 1 pressie in my mailbox.. no name no nothing.. don't know who and then throughout the day, I found that there are different clues in my mailbox and I got to go and hunt for it..

2 of them were pretty easy to find... "where paper turns into noodles" that's by the shredder and also "at the one who is not here today" tat's at the cubicle of Eryn.. who so happends to be on MC today.

The other 2.. wow.. hard time! "sharpest corner of the office" most of the help that I got was by the paper cutter.. so I shall go there to find.. and the last "somewhere so near yet so far... seek and you shall find" so biblical some more..
Finally after lotsa clues and help, I manage to SEEK out those 2 pressies. The "sharpest" pressie was wrapped with white A4 paper slotted in between the copier and fax machine!! Argg...

The "Seeked" pressis wae hidden all the way in some heavy books.. hai.. finally I've manage to seek and find all then time to guess which pressie is from who.. This is not as difficult as I imagine.. coz I already manage to know 2 of the 5.

I really cannot find all the pressies so by the time we went for lunch @ swensens, I manage to get 3.. 2 others are still missing in action.

Lunch was good, had fish and chips.. and a "Firehouse Happy Birthday" I think on the house coz there were so many of us. They sang the "Happy Birthday" and I was kinda emprassed but not very lar.. haha

Came back to office at almost 3 and continue with the searching of pressies and the end result -
Michelle, kind soul who just left the pressie in my mailbox gave me a "Frome me to you bear" photo holder
Belinda, "noodles" pressie, a cute Precious Moment stationery holder.
Siti, "of the one who is not here", she's kind too, she told me to look higher and VOLIA, I saw it.. box of chocolates fit for HRM! woah!
Shir, "sharpest" pressies is a pair of HAND MADE earrings by she, herself!
Sil, "seek and you shall find" is a necklace... woo hoo..

good haul this year. haha and abvoe all, a brand new SWATCH watch from hubby.. which he personally put on for me and gave me at the stroke of midnight last nite!

By the time i finished opening all and thanking all, it was time to go home.. so i made my way to town, and dropped by at Girodano to see if I can get anything for myself. Wah.. so many things to buy... buy and try till we were almost late for dinner.

From Girodano, Orchard. We or rather I got the following:
white cavas belt with 3 hole lines PLUS
pair of jeans PLUS
a bright yellow top (considering to get the green and black too since I do not have a lot of tops) PLUS
black long sleeve mini jacket (which is the soooo in thing right now)
Hubby bought a black canvas belt with single row of holes for buckle
Total spendings: $117. 30 =) Nothing beats spending $$ =D

After the short shopping spree, we went to Hard Rock for dinner. Not tat crowded but doesn't matter anyway coz hubby booked a table for us. It's the atmpsphere of high class pub but ppl don't smoke inside. Thank God for that! They serve either hard liquor, wine, beers and also food and desserts.

We looked thru the menu and finally decided that we are not able to finish 2 main meals by ourselves, we decided to just order a side, one main meal and MUDPIE!! =)
But hor... v v v disappointing leh.. B4 we can even take a bite of our food, the waitress came and say that they have NO MORE mudpie.. Arggg... so disappointing!! I was saving space for that!

But hubby v nice.. he say nt tm we come back again just to eat the mudpie.. so swt of hubby to do that. haha.. so i also want to help him save some money.. we decided tat we will hv our "main course" elsewhere 1st and just to come in here for the dessert! haha..

Though we just ordered side and ONE main.. we had problems finishing up all the food. Portion is quite big and also coz we both had rather heavy lunch earlier. But just as well, the food not fanastic but rather pricy!

Sat there for quite sometime, enjoy the mood of the place, the music, hubby and also food. There were another 2 ppl there celebrating bday.. woah.. so many ppl also born don't know how many years ago on today.. haha.. I am but one of them!

There was also live music and singers but we left shortly after 9.15pm. Hubby really quite swt, he wanted to bring me to go and shop around to see if there's anything that he can buy for my Bday.. but coz we left HRC so late, the shops also closed. SO we just slowly scroll all the way the bus stop to catch the bus home.

Was so tired after that I fell asleep on the bus.. Not something which I have done recently but really dog tired. Gosh.. went to take some bread for tml's morning and we went straight home..

After a shower, feel better, but while hubby was massaging my neck (coz of that stiff neck I have for 2 days now) i again fell asleep on the sofa. Really cannot tahan anymore so decided to call it a night and go to bed.

No ECA for tonite.. too tired.. finally I think I can understand wat Bro means by "everyday also so tired, how to have ECA"!

Valentine celebration(s)

Went to CTK earlier and as wat hubby says, he did cover the topic on Valentine and he also added in Sacarment of Matrimony.

Before hubby arrived at AMK, I already went thru 1 rnd to get the items I needed.. Got him some sunscreen/block, got my foot scrub and cream and also other personal items. Had to go to 2 Guardian Pharmacy before I can get foot scrub! Hai..

We were abit late as hubby and I had dinner at AMK hawker centre. Quite disappointing coz the 'Tiong Bahru roast meat' is taken over by some other stall holder selling chicken rice.. sigh.. there's already so many chicken rice stalls! But doesn't really matter coz I had western food and hubby had char kuay teow.

Then we went to walk around for a short time. See some hp coz we both intending to change our hps. But the prices are out of our budget so we will still look around some more.

Then I saw this cute tortise that I thought will make a good and cute present to Shirlynn since Thursday is her last day in campus.

Met quite a few colleagues at AMK central.. surprisingly.. haha.. some were in home clothes others wld hv been walked over fm campus.

We din not expect the OGF to attract so many ppl and when we went into the canteen we din manage to find a good seat for the class so we make do and sat at the same table with Ken, Karen, James and Mabel. Felt abit like RCIA.. haha

Fr say quite a lot abt Matrimony and I did learn alot. It certainly put mre thoughts and also clarify some mystic questions that I had about marriage. Also again, it stres to me the importance of our marriage.

Fr Yim v nice.. he let us have the chance to renew our vows again.. It's really a memorable and warming to say our vows to each other again. The longest married couple was 28 years and here we are, 4 mths into our marriage.. wah.. alot of things to come and to learn and to go thru lor..

I feel that this is much better than to go out to jostle with the crowd for a table and then ppl bugging u to buy flowers and then me feel sad coz I no flowers. I really enjoyed the time spent in CTK tonite.

After tat took a cab home too tired and lazy to wait for bus coz we missed the previous 1.. then went to the bakery to get bread for tml's breakfast and then to get a AP.. then went home..

Bathe and settle down (again!) in front of google box. Then hubby v swt, he helped to massage my shoulers coz I probably din sleep well last nite, neck was stiff.

Then at the stroke of midnight, he went to take bday present for me.. =)

'A' is for apple, 'B' is for boy, 'C' is for Couple and 'V' is for Valentine!!

'V' is for Valentine and I am past the age or stage as to where we should be going tonight or if anyone will date me for tonite.

After all marriage does have it's purposes in this sense. haha

Tonite, we will be going to CTK for the monthly OGF session. To be fair to the priest, Fr Yim is really quite nice to us, he set up this class so that we can deepen our faith. Been quite sometime since I went.. Christmas lar, Mad hse lar, CNY lar.. just din have the time to go... or I am too tired to go.

Valentine's Day and we are back to CTK to listen to the priest talk abt Valentine.. I guess in a way it's good lar, at least we don't have to go out and fight for seats in restaurant and be hunted down or pestered by ppl selling roses and flowers and what other little lovey but useless things.

Not really a v romantic evening for such a highly commercialised romantic day.. but I guess, it's definately more meaningful ba.

1st day of lunch treat.

Monday is usually a blue day for me most of the time. But today not only am I feeling beautiful, I am feeling happy and not the slightest blue in any way!

Not because that someone is giving me birthday treats then I am so happy. (I am not such a glutton) but I am so happy because of WHO I am going to lunch with later! Bro Daniel and Godma. I always enjoyed their company. It's such fun to have lunch with the both of them. Sharing on every little thing and just forget about work and really just enjoy each other's company. That is the thing that I was looking forward to since this morning and I am so happy to be able to spend time with them.

They brought me to Vines restaurant. A small cozy place opp Novena church. The food good, price v reasonable. For the 3 of us, total bill was less than $48 inclusive of all the taxes and GST. Which will probably work out to $16 for each of us. We had fried calarmi and then I had Lamb Shank, Godma had kind prawn with grill fish and bro had Rib Eye steak. Good food with good company. Tat's the way I like it best!

Also had their freshly baked blueberry cheese pie.. wah!! Good! Sat and eat and yak.. then before we knew it, time to go back to office.. sigh..

Bro as usual sent us all back befor making the way back to office himself. Once we came back, as usual, we yak via msn. The whole of today in office we din do anything productive. I must say.

Yak and yak till it's netball time then we brought our barang barang and went off to the court. Hm... this is the 1st time that I have everstep foot onto the court and wah.. really is bad condition.. the ground is cracking up! Must be due to the lack of maintaince. Hm.. wat has estates been doing or what have they not been doing?

Started off with intro to each other and then jog arnd the court for 2 rounds which in my opinion is not enough, I can still breadth easily even after the 2 rounds, she have run a bit mre. Cannot remember when was the last time I ran also.. anyway... after tat, we practised our footwork, then some passes and then we hv a mini game.

The whole training did not last till 9pm as mentioned ar.. but still I thought it was none of the training I was used to. Today's training is really too basic for me. Though I sweat a lot but felt I hardly exc. hm.. wonder if the captain can make it slightly tougher.

Wah... today is a good day... ppl are all trying to buy me lunch..

Earlier this week, Godma and Bro alraedy says they will buy me lunch on Monday. Then just before lunch, Aw also msn me asking me when I am free for lunch, and after lunch, Bel also msn me.. wah!!

Good week huh... I have at least 3 good lunch to look forward to for next wk. Hubby promised to bring me to hard rock cafe for dinner.. so that makes it 3 good lunch and 1 good dinner!

Y the special treatment right? Coz next week is Vday!! Haha.. no no.. coz nt wk is my Bday.. the day immediately after Vday is my bday... =) So my good friends are giving me a treat lor.. haha..

Just called hubby, coz he is at work now but he is taking cab back home, so he will soon bian go to his mum's plc to pick up the steamboat and hot plate machine (after we used it for reunion dinner) then come to fetch me.. happy leh.. At least I don't have to walk all the way to the YCK interchange to take bus home!

And also, today I've finally finished writting all the letters to the cats.. 3 of them, each of them will have 4 letters if all the sponsors remember to write. It's been so long since I last pick up a pen and literally write letters.. Gosh.. tiring leh.. What i did was draft it out then after that re-write it 4 times!! Y 4 though there's only 3 right? Coz the 1st letter my handwritting was too big... 1 piece not enough so had to re-write to make it smaller lor. Had to go to the bookshop to buy a piece of paper for it as well.

Overall, quite happy with the letter lar, done and completed, sealed with love too! haha

My shoulders especially are aching with all those workouts from my kickboxing last nite! Goodness.. So tiring. Philip warmed us up with skipping.. within mins, most of us are tired out and the actual program has not even started!!

He look at us and said:"I can see that most of you have not excerised for a long time" I am one of them lar.. but last nite's class was pretty small.

My legs were like jelly at the end of the session and it still feels abit like jelly.. gosh..

Tml is Sat and Ta Ge and gang are coming to my plc for steamboat.. after that it's sun, to go to my Kai Ye's plc then Monday.. and I have netball practise!! =S

Feeling lazy

I'm feeling pretty lazy now... after all the festive celebrations, eating and merry making, and the previous mth of slogging my head off, I am feeling lazy and not in the mood to get back to work. Horriable!!

Had a sch visit this afternoon, well behaved girls and the teachers and parents were v cooperative as well. So all went well. But the SDN students gave me a fright yesterday with a sudden phone call that they hv some briefing that they have to go.. Luckily tat was settled!

Somemre, I kinda dreading tonite.. coz tonite I have kickboxing.. after stopping for more than 2 mths, I AM NOT LOOKING FORWARD to tonight's session... =(

darn tickers!

Darn it!!! The whole day I'm trying to palce a ticker on my blog and I JUST CAN'T SEEM TO DO IT!!!

I tried pasting it on top, below, in between the lines everywhere!! But everytime I looked at my blog, it's not the way I want it! The upper half will always be blocked by the darn navi bar!!!

Then! A bright spark came into my brain.. I think it is caused by the template, so I changed template!! And VOILA!!! It workes!!! Now I have my ticker on my blog.. =) happy..

NFP

Had my NFP wif Shirley in CTK. Been sometime since I last went to see her. Coz was so busy with the mad hse and things, din have the time nor the mood to go and see her lor.

As usual, she says my cycle is not too good for the month of Nov.. coz though I had sensations but my temperature shows that I did not hv a good cycle i.e did not ovulate. And IF we are trying for a BB, chances are it will not happen. When I heard this, I am not so sure if I shd be happy or unhappy.. coz we are NOT trying for BB but the thing is... if my cycle carries on to be so erm... un-cooperative that means, we will have problems when we WANT to hv BB.

Then looking at my Dec and Jan cycle, she says it's a good cycle with all the necessary up and down in temperature and the right sensations.. haha.. so all is not lost yet.. Maybe in Nov, something not quite right with my body.

Today must be the shortest session I hv with her. By 8.30 pm, we are done. She pronouced me "Graduate" and that I won't have to come and see her so often. Telling me to call her as and when when I need help. Good!!

She also asked me if I am keen to be a NFP trainer.. to be honest, I not so keen lar, coz I feel that this is hard enough when I am the person gng thru it. And I don't feel confident that I am getting or doing it right. So how to teach ppl? She says will have training but I feel that I am chewing off too much. Maybe it is time for me to back step a little.

Surprisingly, 162 did not take that long to come.. and best part is, I had the same bus driver when I went to CTK and now on the return trip as well. Not a everyday occassion leh. haha

Hubby was already having dinner when I was on the bus, but he came down all the same and we took bread fm the bakery for tml's bf. Took our showers and then laze in front of the google box for the night.

Din do much.. so not tat tiring.. but still when the nite comes, my eyes will automatically want to close.. so tat's it for the nite.

window shopping day

After mass, we went shopping.. actually was planning to go to Alan's hse to bai nian and to give my 2 nephews AP but kinda like out of the way we decided to go and buy my Bday present instead =)

We took 162 from opp CTK and went all the way to Raffles City from there walked over to Marina Sq. Had a good lunch in Billy Bombers... I say the food is so so only not fanastic but ok lar. The dessert - ice cream was yummy though.. =)

Walked arnd in the hopes of searching for a clock for our home.. wow then we realise Marina changed quite a lot! Now it's full of teens on 1 wing and the other wing is mre family and home life style..

A few clocks from Molecule caught my eyes.. both hubby and me wld like to have it in our home but unfortunetly, each piece costs like $200?! Too expensive for a home clock in our opinion.. so we decided to look for other pieces.

A new branch of Bridal Concept is there as well and we met the boss, Stella there also. Not much ppl there, in my opinion, it's a good plc to maybe neg for your package coz no crowd but to try on gowns and for fittings, I think better go back to Liang Seah St.

Wondered into some hm concept stalls their things are pretty but we dont hv the kinda space to accencuate it's beauty so it's just look c and window shopping. Nothing much caught our attention but it is good to be able to wander arnd freely with just hubby and enjoying each other's company.

Since we are done at Marina Sq, we went over to Suntec... the crowd is always there as usual and we also window shopped. Coz nothing much to buy lor.. Just walk arnd to pass time.. haha

Finally I decided to get the swatch watch instead of the Guess? watch that I've been aiming for so long... Even though I still prefer the Guess? watch, I decided on the swatch coz the Guess? is all last piece at the shops I went to, even in the Guess? boutique... also mre expensive lor.. So forget it lar, get swatch, cheaper and mre later design. Hubby promised me tat he will give me the bal of $260 after the watch for my up and coming holiday with Godma in Chiang Mai, Thailand. =) better than wasting all the $ on the watch lor.. in my opinion.. haha The $260 is coz, it is a Vday and Bday gift... after married... now is $ best, no need for too much fanciful items lor..haha

But on the other hand, I think this watch is mre like Vday present.. coz just the other day, hubby went to trade in his old G-shock and paid $118 for another piece. I paid for that piece, so now he buy me this watch mre like Vday rather than for my bday present leh =( no bday present... sad..

Then we went to carrefour, they were having household items on sale... quite good buy, so we also went to buy lor.. aluminium foil at $2 and $1 (depending on the length) the plastic wrap, hangers, clothes pegs etc etc and also sme daily cotton panties for myself.. Total costs was onlu $23+ wow.. really good to buy all these items when they are on sale!

Tired from all these shopping, we went to Mac for a drink and to rest... the moment we went in, we felt right at home.. the decor was v cozy and nice.. then hubby said something.. he say that the walls look like our kitchen cabinets! Then it suddenly strike me.. Yup!! IT'S THE SAME!! Shade and all! Even their raise partitions looks like our table top! haha No wonder we felt "right at home".

As we rest, there was this little boy mayb abt 1 year plus, eating fries...with 5 fingers... yucks.. then after tat, with the same hand, he began to touch his face, his head, his pram, his clothes.. everywhere!!! EEEEE.. makes everything so oily after that.. BUT! It was great fun watching him lor.. haha

Also a couple of pretty girls were beside us, 2 of them were planning to get married and was sharing details of WG etc etc... boy... i'm glad my turn was over! Another 2 girls were wearing mini skirts... but not v pretty.. hahaha and i think it is the trend now... carrying Mickey Mouse bags.. Then came this "couple" the girl was wow... long hair, pretty, sexy and following closely behind is this "guy" (who looks like a girl lar) so i think it is 2 girls.. 1 very pretty the other dresses like a guy... hm... how come this kinda trend is increasing also?

Rested enough then we walked back to the MRT stn... we cld hv taken bus, but coz I want to go to "Prints" to chk out their photo albums, we took MRT.. wha.... so expensive.. so din get also.. hai...

How come thigns are so expensive in SG? =(

Window shopping day but din buy much except for house hold.. hai..

Lo Hei! Lo Hei!!

Lo Hei day for me! It's also part of the chinese to eat Lo Hei on 7th day of CNY. But then again, as long as CNY, almost everyday is an excuse to eat Lo Hei!

To put in a nutshell, Lo Hei are mainly veg wif lots of other auspicious items mixed together. Half the fun of eating Lo Hei.. the is "Lo-ing" where all the ppl will stand rnd the dish and each will try to mix the veg as high as possible saying all sorts of good things.. then when the veg and the ingredients are well mixed, it't time to dig in!

It's also a bz day for hubby and me. Had my colleagues come over in the afternoon for popiah party... (which is y I was preparing the ingredients yesterday!) Surprisingly, Aw was the earliest to reach, followed by Shi Yun, followed by Irene and her bf, Mel. The last to arrive were the following, KAN EE MAY, ONG ZHEN LING and TAN BENG YONG! Goodness, lunch was supposed to start at 1pm, by the time the 3 latecommers arrive, all have left except for Aw. So it's like -3+3, brings back to the same number of ppl who are here.

When the finally came, we gave them a loud cheer to express welcome..haha.. they they went into y they took so long to come.. 1) EM overslept 2) BY took them onto the wrong bus 3) they refused to take a cab down from wherever they are..

There were so much food left over that we had to play silly games to force mre food dw each other's throat... but it was fun lar... really enjoyed myself with them. After such a heavy lunch, we settled dw to play Blackjack.. This gambling thingy is so common among us chinese, especially during the CNY period. Everyone will gamble somehow, some day.

They stayed for quite a while.. till abt 6 where we took sme group photos and things then after tat they each went on their way coz my 2nd grp of friends, who comprises of my Godma and family, Bro Daniel and family as well as hubby's Godpa (w/o family!) Don't get me wrong, not tat he has no family just that he din bring them lor.

Another rnd of Lo Hei and then mre popiah for the day. I think it has really been a super super long time ago that I ate so healthily for lunch and dinner. As we all know popiah only consists of veg and muang kuang. V little of anything else.

But too much of the good things still not tat good after all... ate soooooo much veg today... popiah x don't know how many rolls... Lo Hei x 2 times... (not to mention last nite in CTK, we had home made Lo Hei for refreshment too) so the whole day, intake are all veg... healthy system within me starts today!

After dinner, we just snack (food again!) at the dinning table and then chit chat.. before long, another round of blackjack... Bro's son, Jarren.. wah lau... has the makings of a pro gambler.. before he takes each card, he will peep and then blow or say a prayer or whatever... his voice was really loud especially when he got all excited and start shouting it really peirece my ears.. while we were playing, Bro's girl, Chole was jumping on my sofa -_-" hai... Y does kids like to do that? No idea... but I cannot take it. So i just call her name and stare at her and she stop... I think this is the "if looks can kill" stance of mine that hubby always comment on lor..

Haha... after all these, we are dead tired... but after they left, I vaccumm the floor while hubby mopped up. So not so bad lar.. He helped arnd the hse and we manage to get things done rather fast.

Enjoyable day for all I assume, I had fun, best is coz this is at my home, I can do whatever I want and leave as late as I want.. coz din have to travel. The only thing not good is we got to clear up lor.

V fast, CNY is already more than half gone. Every year, we hv sme kinda gathering wif Godma and Bro. But this yr, we added in hubby's Godpa partly coz in this way, we can grow closer and also coz we were hoping Godpa's wife can influence Bro's wife to the christian community.. well.. c how lar.. things are in HIS ctrl.

Wah... today, I have turned into the chef! Coz preparing for 2 popiah parties tml takes time, so today is the day where I prepare the ingredients with the help of Godma who is working in office!

Whenever I run into problems or doubts, the first person I think of is Godma.. and our typical calls will go like this...

me: Hello, Godma ar.
Godma: Hello,yar. What?
me: I shelling the prawns now. How do you want me to cut ar?
Godma: Slice it lor.
me: huh? Slice? means cut straight down?
Godma: no lar, tat 1 is call diced lar. Slice is erm.. aiyah.. how to tell u?
me:???
Godma: U don't know wat is sliced?
me: Dont know lar.
Godma: er... normally when u cut the knife faces down right?
me: yar..
Godma: then put ur knife in erm.. sleeping position and cut as thinly as u can.
me: so the prawns are in the shape of the 'C' lar... cut out still like tat lar?
Godma: yar..
... ...

wah.. never knew cutting / slicing prawns also so much yan jiu.. and this is not the only thing. Had to slice the lap cheong at an angle... and eggs got to mash... and luckily tat's all.

But!! Alone on slicing prawns and slicing lap cheong, took me a day! Guess.. I'm not so great a chef after all..

CNY still or SGH day??

I kinda lost track which day of the Lunar day of CNY is today.. but to me it doesn't make any difference, coz it seems like a day in SGH!! My goodness!!

I am wondering if ppl actually keep to their appointments. ESPECIALLY in the case of SGH specialist clinics, a certain clinic something something..

Mum had 2 appointments today, 1st at clinic A and the other in clinic something something.. Being the typical Singaporean, we are KIASU and thus went there early and thus was the 1st in the 1st clinic. Good?! U bet, coz we'll be the first! Unfortunetly, the doc is someone who KNOWS how to keep time! She came on time. So though we were early, we got to wait till our appointed time at 2.50pm which equals to an hour plus of wait!

2nd appointment is at the clinc something something... gosh... tat clinic is crowded. Singaporeans has lotsa ENT problems, i came to this conclusion owing to the huge crowd and long queue.

Appointment time is at 3.55 pm or thereabouts... and guess what?! We only managed to c the blessed Dr Goh at close to 5.30pm!!! Arggg!!! Today my precious leave is spend in SGH.. hai..

I hope this Dr Goh is good, he told my mum, instead of the blesed operation, y don't he just do a simple procedure (goodness knows what it is called) similiar to that of taking blood samples... except that this time the bloody needle will be poking into the lump at my mum's throat. Waited for so long, of course must take mre time with the doc to make up for it! haha... so anyway, the Dr just withdraw the whatever it is in the lump from my mum's throat. Gosh!!! The effect is immediate!!! I can c the lump shrink!! It's still there but not so big anymore.

If it is just so simple, y din he take it out the last time?! Y must make my mum stay in the hospital for a week? Y must operate?? Gosh i tell u... nothing can descripe the question marks in my head... and just coz we are paying lesser means the service is so horriable? Got to come back more often? Goodness, we are Singaporeas! It's bad enough that we don't have special privallges... but hey... medical is impt to all! Stepts shd be taken to provide better service and LESS wastage of ppl's $! We go to gov hospitals coz of the costs mar. If we can afford, of course go to the high end hospitals! sucks!!!

Anyway... pay $ also got to wait... sigh... after leaving the blessed hospital, I wanted to go to IKEA to buy water jugs, large plates and whatever household items I need.. Since my mum has NEVER set foot there, I persuaded her to go with me.. if not next time ppl say IKEA, she will be so mountain turtle! haha..

Took the MRT from Outram to Queenstown and then take another bus in. I think my mum is really quite mountain turtle, she has never set foot in.. so anyway, we each bought a couple of items..

She bought a side table (which ppl normally use beside their sofas) for her precious plants at home.. 1 nice looking pot for (again!) her precious plant. Sisscors, a pack of hooks and a weighing scale (the scales looks good and the price is so cheap $5.90 only!) If not for the fact that I already have one at home, I'll get one too!

While for me, I bought 2 big plates (same series to those that we are already using), a pack of hooks and a roll of plastic drawer mat. Yep, that's all i bought.. coz I can't find a satisfactory water jug.. but I forgot to buy some air tight containers.. =(

While at the pottery section, (where my mum got her pot) I saw some nice vases.. It has been on our minds to get a HUGE vase to be place beside the fridge but we haven't got round to doing it... Coz i always feel if we were to buy such a huge 1, then how to bring home? Either the vase or a standing floor lamp.. Lamps are expensive, wastes electricity, so we most likely will go with the vase at the end of the day... Just don't know when lar.

Took the bus back with my mum. I think my mum really pampers my youngest sis too much. Called home and ask wat she wants for dinner and call her BB! My sister is already 16 for goodness sake! Anyway... the ride hm was rather fast gng by the fact that we were on PUBLIC transport.

Planned to meet hubby at the bus stop, dumped all the barang barang at the bakery and then hubby and me went off to catch another bus to J8.. where we went for dinner and then to get a present for Shir.

Too hungry to go shopping, so we went to the hawker above the bus interchange for a late dinner. We had bak chow mee pok dry.. mine had chili while hubby's din hv.. I like it =) had a bowl of veg soup along with it.. Yummy yummy.. (think I'm gonna grow fat from all these eating)

Rushed thru it then went to get a present.. too many things... and din really know wat to get.. finally settle on a MICKEY MOUSE bag for her... cheap too... Only $12 =) happy with my purchase, went to get wrappers and back to the bakery we went, to collect our barang barang and also take some bread for breakfast for tml.

Though most of the day was spent waiting for the Dr... it was v tiring... goodnes... waiting is tiring!!

Thank God, tml is Friday and I am STILL ON LEAVE =D

1st day of Feb 2006

First day of February 2006 marks the 4th day of CNY and also marks the countdown to my next bday.

Most ppl wld have begin to get back to work but not for hubby and me. Guess we are really 2 lazy bums. Both of us took leave and we literally laze and do nothing at home. Now that we have our own roof above our heads, we seem to have lost interests in gng out.

Back to the days when we were dating, as long as holiday or on leave or anything, we will be outta of the hse as soon as we are ready to get out... (most times is waiting for me to finish dolling up) But now, we became or rather I became so homely, I can hardly recongnise myself! Ha!! Mum will be sooo surprised to hear and see that we are lazing at home on a glorious day like today!

Come to think of it, I cannot even remember wat we had been doing the whole of today! Gosh... getting old already?! Tat's too fast for comfort!

I think we literally spend the day snoozing in front of the google box. Then we took a nap, was waken by Trina's sms and then we went to bathe (wheather together or separately, that is a secret!) haha

Then I remembered Trina and her Kel came to our hse to just look c and sit down, went thru our wedding photos and then chit chatted for a while and then we went off together.

Coz we were meeting Yuin at PS at abt 7.30pm, and hubby and I wanted to go to Spotlight to get some hse hold items we went early. After making a last min reservation at Manhattan Fish Market, we went to walk arnound. Luckily we made the reservation as soon as we arrived! Coz by the time we got Yuin's sms tat she's here, the queue was long!! Gosh.. Singaporeans and food...

Hm... Manhattan Fish Market is somewhat similiar to Fish & Co. Mayb coz I had eaten fm Fish & Co I find Manhattan nicer. But again, it's to each his own coz Trina preferred the Fish & Co while the rest of us prefer Manhattan. It cld be the impressive fire grilling the prawns wif cheese right there and then... Or it could simply be coz it's new... But whatever the reason, we had a good dinner =) of praws, fish, rice, oysters and fries. Yummy Yummy!! Will go back again when there's a chance. Best part is, for the 5 of us the bill came out to be less than $100!!! Tat's really a hard to get price leh. On the average, each of us spent less than $20 for a restaurant meal!

During dinner, we chatted abt marriage, kids, hse.. all of these, Yuin, myself and hubby has experience to share. Only Trina and Kel can't share lor.. Coz they not there yet, but the 3 of us has lots to talk abt.. While the 2 of them listen, they also had doubts that they can clarified and be answered and just listening also can learn something lar.. I hope.. haha I think they shd be able to get something outta of it lar... coz they want to get a re-sale flat in their parents' area. Lucky for them, both parents stay in the same area. Not so good is that, they only hv 1 area to chosoe from lor. They this couple also quite cute lar... say want to stay in the midpoint of parents.. must chun chun midpoint... think got to go n get measuring tape and start measuring liao lor.. haha

After dinner, coz of the time, we din go anywhere lor, immediately went back to the car, luckily stay near to each other, so we can all go hm the same way, only Yuin different, want to give her a ride also hard.. she stay JURONG!!! Gosh.. the other end of SG leh!

Back in the car, we just chatted lor... but hai... mum called and asked me to bring her my ez link card coz she gng out.. tat sort of created a little tiff between hubby and me. He seems to think that my mum shd call my sis to go and pass to her at the bakery and that I unduldge in her too much. But hey... we are on the way home.. will pass by the bakery, so it's ok mar.. BUT!! I do agree wif hubby tat my mum does bully me too much.. hai...

But the strange part is hor... my mum has this kinda hold over me.. she never does it to my sisters.. and neither will I allow hubby to do this to me leh..

CNY day 3

wah.. so fast, 3rd day of CNY liao.. had a tiff wif my mum last nite and I wanted to not go to my uncle's plc today.. but wat she says makes sense coz every year they come to my mum's plc but this yr coz my mum unwell, she cancelled so tat brings us to go to my uncle's plc in Sembawang, Woodsilve.

Gave her a face when i saw her, refuse to acknowledge her pressence.. v bad hor.. but don't care lar. haha

Had a light lunch, sat for a while then we went back to my PIL's plc for another rnd of lunch. Wonder how much food has been gng into my stomach for the last couple of days.

After that, went home.. tat silly hubby of mine!! Argg... left his keys at his parents's plc. After we reach our blk, when he was trying to reach for his keys, he discovered it!!! Argg!! So he took a cab back home to take keys and take a cab back!! Waste of $.. there i was trapped outside our door, at the void deck, cannot even sit down on the stone table & seats to wait coz the cleaners were washing and in an urgent need to go toilet!!! As if it's not bad enough, hubby took my hp coz his was low bat!!! Argg!!

Finally he came back.. i was so fuming mad but i think he shd hv the grace to feel guilty, so i just told him nt tm, don't empty out his pockets! *sigh*

Had a shower n zzz for a while.. but before i even hv a chance to zzz mum called wif a v angry & pissed tone asked y i say not gng back for dinner anymre... i wanted to tell her coz i pissed lor.. but din, just say friend coming. She HANG MY PHONE!!! Gosh.. Today is really really not my day!!!

Anyway... to cut the whole darn story short, I just say ok, will go ov after friend left.

Stanley came at abt 6.. and from 6 onwards, I keep getting sms fm xiao mei to go over... heck.. i din bother. When Stan and his family left.. (his boy, Javier is really adorable.. wear my bedroom slippers and walk rnd my plc.. haha) we walked over.

Made us hurry and also not in time to start dinner wa! Mum's sister also not here yet. Don't know she kan cheong wat! Win lor..

Anyway, dinner was good... had shark's fins soup, pepper crap and some other dishes bought fm the chi zha stores.. had a good dinner.. and laze in front of google box again..

a good ending to a not so good day i guess... praise the Lord for it though!

Tml is the end of the CNY holidays.. but happy and lucky me, on leave for the rest of this week! haha

CNY

First Day of CNY really give AP till we blur... first stop was to my granny's then after lunch there.. which isn't v good, we took a bus and went all the way to Yishun to hubby's granny's plc.

Thank goodness, we were one of the few who reach early, means that I dont hv to go in and start calling loads of ppl who look foreign to me! SO anyway, this time rnd is hubby's job to give AP.. all the kids look the same to me, hubby give better, coz he has seen them from young. haha

Sat there, feeling bored and then had dinner... finally we were able to go off! Went hm, took a quick shower, rested in front of google box for a while and then out again.. coz we went to watch 'Huo Yuan Jia' at Bishan. Not too bad coz with HSBC card, there is a $1 off every ticket.. but gosh!! When I went to collect my tickets, the queue were so long!! Was kinda afraid that we could'nt get in in time. But tks to rather effecient staff, we manage to make ourselves comfortable before the show starts.

Not too bad lar the show... if nothing to do and too much $ can go and watch lor.. haha..

Hubby quite swt.. he carried a big bag and put in my fav. pillow.. so even during the show, i cld hug it!! hahaha.. 1st time i brought my pillow out wif me. haha.. wonder if my neighbour can smell my ba wu.. hahaha

Day B4 CNY...

This year, CNY is the 1st time we gave AP.. coz married liao mar.. but i tell u, giving AP not v fun.. Give till v luan. haha.. too many ppl, kids, cousins and goodness knows who else!

But all in all, this yr CNY not as hectic as previous years! Coz this yr, my mum decided to not hv CNY at her plc. So it saves me lots of AP and also no need to go n clean up the hse.. but then again, I got to clean up my own hse! haha

Had reunion dinner at PIL's plc this year.. we had steamboat after gng for CNY mass in CTK. Gosh.. ate so much so that we had problems moving. Had sake yu sheng n lots of other kinds of balls.. don't know wat.. just eat.. then settle dw to watch TV.

After that, we just went home to continue snacking and to prepare for the First Day of CNY tml.

Quiet day in office

Last day of work before the CNY holidays come and I am totally moodless to get my butt and hands for that matter to work!

Ever since after the mad hse period, came back on Monday drag my feet to follow up with some of the items and then I am totally moodless to work.

Half day off on Wed and Thurs afternoon... Wed went with Godma and Bro to chinatown to soak in the CNY feeling. So fun and not that crowded. V good. Then yest went home to take a short nap and clean up the place a bit and then to out to meet hubby at Suntec.

The only thing that is abit sian is that since last week, was trying to get a watch coz hubby says he will buy me a watch for my VDay and Bday together lor. Saw the Guess? watch but it's always last piece here and there and the design is rather old liao.. so still thinking to get or not to get. Then yesterday, saw anothe watch fm Swatch. Not bad.. just not my kinda watch. But it is a pretty piece. $ is also v reasonable. So how ar? Still dont know to get which piece.

Anway, back to today, i think I can count the number of ppl who is in with 1 hand. Tat shows alot ya? Everyone is so CNY mood and tat includes me of course!! haha

Just cannot wait for the time to pass faster where I can go home and then to RCIA and then to countdown to CNY eve!

This year will be the 1st time that I am having reunion dinner at PIL's plc... will be bringing yu sheng and a chestnut cake dessert that I manage to discover from Chinatown.

Now the next question is to go for mass tml or on Sunday.

Boy oh Boy... me feeling the CNY mood.. happy leh!!

And today, I'm on half day PM leave to go to Chinatown to soak up more of the CNY feeling.. haha Will be meeting Godma and Bro for a quick lunch then after that go walk arnd Chinatown liao.

Wonder what can I buy and what to buy?? hahaha.. later go n spend $ shiok!! I love spending $$... but hate the paying of credit card bills part lor.

Hubby today told me to buy him the sugar gummy sweets.. he like a small boy like to eat this kinda stuf.. haha.. ok lar.. to make him happy so that I can get my Guess? watch and maybe Chiang Mai trip... please him lor.. hahaha

ALso this morning, I also very happy lar, besides settling most of the work for this WHOLE week, I called up the Maybank and request for wavier of my annual fees. The lady say ok, as long as from now onwards, i have 24 transactions per year.. THis 1 easy lar.. hahaha..

Save me $30!!! TO go n buy more things.. hahaha

All those OT moments, busy as a bee moments, hectic and breadthless moments are ALL over!!! Hooray!!!

My mad hse for this year is finally finally OVER!! I'm so happy!!! Now I dont have to deal with the calls, the students briefings, the last min changes, more sec schools calling in to change this and that and goodness knows what else!!!

I can finally settle down and relax a bit and prepare for my CNY =) It really is a happy moment to be celebrated. hahahaha

Okie dorkie.. Time to knock off... din accompolish much but still happy lar.. hahaha.. at least can go off on time!

3rd and FINAL day!!! Yipee

Hooray.... Final day of Open House.. But sian lor... Sat and I am back in campus... Some more whole day.. But nvm lar.. I think i can claim off in lieu somewhere someday lar..

Shd be a rather relaxing day lar.. since there won't be any buss in visitors.. only got walk ins.. shd be ok ba..

Sme mre... Today will hv mre ss helpers.. shd be ok... anyway, already survived the first day.. this is no sweat liao lar!!!

Got some idols coming in later... so will expect the visitors to surge lor.. but shd be managable wan lar.

Today can smile abit liao... we survived the 6000 bussed in visitors yesterday.. today is half the number.. if yesterday we survived, today not a problem liao lor.. =)

Rushing off to command centre... update another time.. But hey hey... today is the 2nd day and at this time tml, it will be NO problem liao lor.. hahahaha

Start of ALL the misery =(

Today is the start of ALL my misery... hai.. this stopid Open House... More like mad house...

As I am writting this, I am silently cringing inside.. coz of the 6000 visitors we are expecting later..

I really have no idea how we are gonna manage it and I even had a nightmare early this morning..

But get thru it we must... and just leave it to God at this moment in time liao lor..

Briefing, Briefings and MORE Briefings!!!

Briefing yesterday, today and next week!! Yesterday 1 session, today 4 sessions!! Goodness, I am gng to loose my voice if this carries on (b4 the mad hse!!!) Argg....

Repeat and repeat the same thing over and over. Shout and talk shout and talk and say the same thing over and over till I am quite sick of it myself! How on earth can i do this over and over?

I certainly hope the students who are listening to me or the others know and remember what on earth they need to do!!! Gosh... Looking at the way they behave... I certainly pray for the best.

In kinda forget how the sunset looks... havent been gng home before 7 pm anyway..


I dont care.. tml i am gng to go off sick... real or otherwise!!! I'm gng to c the doc early in the morning then go off on MC and then HAHAHA go SHOPPING wif Godma!!! after a good lunchy wif Bro 1st, of course since we din hv chance to go for Chirstmas luncy. Hahahaha.. of course this is hush hush lar.. cannot let any1 know!!!

Finally on the way home ...

Woah... today is a rainy day... since last nite rain till tonite still raining.. wah.. n admist all the water, thunder & lighting, my mum is discharged today... made my way there in the rain. Hubby din go coz he went back to office to work.. sucks right! Sunday!!!

By the time i reach there, my youngest sis and my mum's good friend were already there... then another long wait.. nurse say wait for doc and med.. hai... waste of my time... luckily I brought along the German Suduku mag to idle away time.

Sometimes i really cannot stand my mom. Early this morning.. well.. not so early lar.. arnd 10.. called and told me that she can be discharged... I was getting ready to go CTK and then tell me almost a sob story of she being discharged in hospital the previous times and non of the family members come only this good friend come and that now tat we so big she getting discharged we shd go.. sucks lor.. she will only tell me this and not to my other sis. At times like this I really feel that i hate her lor!!! Gosh!! I hv 2 other sisters, granted that the youngest 1 is still too young but I hv a sister in the UNI!!! Argg!!!! Just coz I do not raise my voice and give her a face to c, she sort of like 'bully' me i feel. Hai...

Anyway, she is already at home and resting lar.. hope that no more visits to the hospitals.. but I think no chance lor.. coz her Op still got to be schuduled lor.. sigh...

Went for mass at 5.30 pm and met Kenneth.. sat nt to him.. and he was surprised to me alone lor.. hahahaha...

3rd home in SGH??

Hai... coz of my mum's sudden admittance to SGH, I seemed to be running there like every alternate days?! This kind of visits is really irriating! Esp when u c her lying there and she is ok just that the stopid doc, nurses seems to be taking happiness in keeping there as long as possible and after all the tests n scans n X-rays, there is nothing being said or told to us.

Whenever we asked, we are told to wait!! Goodness.. got to wait how long more? She has already been here for almost a week! And we also decided to not upgrade her bed since the moment we upgrade, we got to pay more right from DAY 1! What for waste the $ on this kinda hospital right? Continue to stay in class C then!

Raining when i went there earlier. She seems ok but on drip.. coz she said since midnight last night din eat anything till 3 pm today? Y? Coz wait for the scans n x-rays!!! Gosh... waited so long and w/o food... no wonder she feel weak! N now got to put on drip. More costs lor.

Been gng to SGH after work, between work and rushing for Mad Hse all the time..

Mum still in SGH. Doc says lump in throat is ok.. mothing serious = not cancerous. Priase Lord. But cavity in lungs n need mre tests.. These few days are tests, tests wait wait.. sian leh..

When on earth can she get out of the darn hospital?!

N meanwhile, me stuck at work coz so many things of mad hse to do! But i finished it liao lar... staying here n writting blog.

1st day of 2006 ...

Well, today is the 1st day of 2006 and guess where i spent the night? Not in the arms of my hubby as I wld love to, but in SGH!!! =(

Hai.... mum called at 1.30+ am n says tat her lump @ throat is painful.. want to go c doc... but hello, countdown n parties n holidays where got doc?? SO i told her either Tues or A&E now.. She say now.. ok lor.. changed and went out wif hubby lor..

Took a cab to SGH A&E & wait lor.. hai... fm the 2+am we reached all the way till 6am!! Gosh.. I can literally feel my eye bags n panda eyes!!!

No mood to write anything... update another time..

Another party?!

Wah.. today i sneak off fm work... to go to boss's hse warming party leh...

I carried a file, sneak to Sak's office and then fm there, we went to Stepf's hse and then to Boss's hse...

Stepf's hse v v spacious n designer feel.. though not 'showflat' pattern, it's comfy. She's so upset ov the maid.. hai..

Then we went to boss's hse.. his hse compared to Stepf's is smaller lar.. but still not too bad.. The moment we came to his door, i saw something tat make me feel even closer to boss.. n tat is the crucufix he hang on the door. =) c liao happy lor..
His altar big leh... got 1 statue of the Holy Family.

Then go BBQ at the poolside and buffet... not bad leh.. hahahah.. mre of the male ka kia's came lar... but i left early coz it's Friday... = RCIA night..

Stepf drove me to the nearest LRT.. n fm there i took train n bus to CTK.

RCIA was abt the different ministries... hope tat all the cats find something interesting that interest them. =)

Surpringsly, Alfie was here too!! After class, we went kopitiam.. was later joined by others... was such a long long long time ago that we had fellowship together.. really enjoyed it..

N i think there is a reason for the fellowship. Maria talked to me and made me hv fresh hopes on my cats! Thank you, Father!!!

Back 2 work... =S

After all the festive celebrations and holiday and feasts and enjoyment.. Today come back to work just cannot get back in the mood.. Chiam..

Heng is hor... later got good long lunch wif boss, Stepf, Sak & Paul. It's for Boss, to thank him for being a good boss to us so we all buy him lunch (which is supposedly meant for last year!) -_-||| super late right?!

After lunch, since we all agree that will go to his hse warming on 30 Dec, we the ka kia decided to go n get him a hse warming gift... Nothing beats gng shopping on company time man! hahahah hm.. the nt best will be to swipe cards n buy things w/o paying! hahahaha

Anway, we got him an oven toaster. Hope it's useful for him!

Anyway, had lunchy at Alfie's hse coz we celebrated his BB 1st mth.. and it was here that I found out Sis Carmen is preggie!!! Good news! Haha.. but not so good for me coz then ppl starts teasing me and hubby to get preggie too...

We stayed till 3+ and we left.. went to PS for movie. Narnia! Nice show. But abit draggy at times too.. enjoyed the show.

Today is Christmas! So fast!

Last nite's carol was great!! They sort of did a slide show and had a speaker read some line.. wow... It was great!!! Hubby says it was Fr. Yim doing the behind the screen reading... and upon closer listening. I think hubby is right! It was fanastic!!!

Today is gonna be a rather bz day for me. Gng to 1 of the forummer's hse. Coz he having his hse warming today in the afternoon. Heng, got sme other forummers come our hse then we can take their car and go to Vic's hse in Sembawang. Wisely & her hubby came, Eve and her hubby also came. Supposed to have Cheryl and her hubby too but last min caught doing something again so they not coming. Instead we all meet at Vic's hse later.

Saved our stomachs for the lunch.. hahaha.. so we din prepare anything for them to eat except drinks lor.

Vic's hse is so big!! Wow.. no wonder it is exec... i like his hall.. got space for cosy corner and his master bed rm.. also big leh... after putting in a King size still got lots of rm!! Spacious!

We din stay long there coz we are expecting my parents and sisters to come ov to our hse for dinner. So on the way back, we went to Yishun to pick up the food that we previously ordered at Cold Storage. Heavy leh!! Never knew that a chicken, a ham, sausagges and 2 bottles of sparkling juice will be so heavy!!! Gosh.. Heng hubby was there. I was prepared to go and pick it up myself!!

Once back, took a quick shower, rest a while and then to work liao. Though the food is cooked, still need to heat it up lar.. coz i dont think my guests appreciate cold food.. On top of that, I also made some potatoe salad and pasta in case the food not enough. Turns out, MORE than enough.

1st time they having dinner at my plc. Was fun.. chit chat and laff at my mother... she so sua ku... hahahahaha.. They brought fruits over so after dinner, we had fruits and i also had almond jelly with longan.. so they had that too.

I thought we cld just stay there for a longer evening and chat lor.. since really no chance to do it... but I also dont know good or bad.. MIL called and say tat her sisters (my now new aunties in law) want to come over to our plc.. when my parents and sisters heard that, they say they leave lor... abit of a bumber lor... sigh...
anyway, they did leave and in an hours time, the aunties came over with their kids and hubby(s) even grandma came! Wow.. surprise.

They quite ok lar... the aunties and uncles sit there and chat.. What i dont like was tat 1 of the kids started jumping on my sofa!!! Sucks!!! Coz they not my side of the relatives, I cannot say anything.. so I just look at hubby lor. He like a block of wood!! Just stand there and din do or say anything!!! I so pissed.. But still hv to maintain the 'gracious' hosts and say nothing!!! Arggg.....

I hope CNY they not coming. Not coz i not hospitable. But coz i simply dont like kids to jump on sofas or beds!! If they behave, it's ok!

And i really wish PIL will stop calling 1 hour in advance and then say the relatives are coming... But then again, maybe this is the 1st year we got married and they've never seen our lovenest so they are all eager to look and c. If's tat's the case, then i wish they will do it to all my BIL! Fair mar. =)

Few mre hours to Christmas! =)

In just a few hours time, Christmas will be here! So exciting!

This is the 1st Christmas that hubby and me are spending as husband and wife. =) We were wondering if we should go out and eat, buy something special home to eat or to cook. In the end, laziness win, we just went downstairs to the coffeeshop, bought a spring chicken to share with some drinks. Simple, no frills and fancy dinner.

Earlier today was a horriable experience. Coz we were lazy, so we delayed gng to Pine Gardens to take the cakes that we had ordered for Godma and Bro. By the time we reach there was like 10 mins to 5pm. So after we gave the order form to the boss, we waited for some1 to come out with our cakes and we can then go.

Horrors.. the wait turned out to be almost 1 hour!!! It was so irriating!!! The shop was cramp, hot and small!!! N on 1 cld tell us y we waited and waited and waited. I wanted to scream and shout and kill some1.. but having the thoughts tat Christmas is rnd the corner, I hold all my thoughts and just wait... and hah! Finally the cakes came out. The boss told us coz 1 of the cakes was short of 1 mini log so they got to bake it then and there. I hope it tastes even nicer lor since it is so fresh! hrmph... =(

Went hm.. bathe and had the spring chicken dinner. Halfway, Godma came to my plc with our christmas presents. hee... she bought us a lovely small fruit cake a nice halter top for me... and u know wat?? She's kinda naughty this year.. she bought me a VS hot pink panty too... hahahahahaha.. shd come in useful if we need sme species in the bed rm.. hahahahahahaha

After dinner, settled dw to watch TV and later will be gng off to midnight mass in church. The moment the mass starts, it will be Christmas!!

Pre Christmas celebrations =)

Today is the last Friday before Christmas. Time flies by so fast and in just a matter of hours, we will be celebrating the "birth" of Christ. Yeah, "birth" coz it is not the actual birthday of Christ, but just a day that the church has placed aside to symobolise it. What a bumper when I firt knew it! All along, I was thinking, wah... Christmas, Birth of Chirst.. But then again guess that my 1 year of Catacheism class has clarifiy it.

Anway, yest in office (after I came back from accompanying my granny to the hospital) there was a Christmas lunch celebration. Kinda early for Christmas coz now I am back at my puter and working away. But no choice lar.. Good lunch! We had, ham, sandwich, char bee hoon, soup, garlic bread and also home baked cake. Sounds like a feast ya?? Well, it is!

Then after the yummylicous lunch, we had a gift exchange. Was fun.. In the end I got an elephant shaped CD pouch and also a box of chocoloates. Not sure if it is tasty though too full from the lunch to eat right away.

And tonite there will be another feasting, coz having dinner at YWCA, this time is the RCIA Christmas dinner. So many of my own class ppl are not gng.. Sian.. but nvm lar, since we paid up we go and enjoy ourselves. Anway it is for fellowship and to just have a good dinner together. =)

tummy not comfy

Just came back from a good lunch at Silzzers (don't know how to spell) as a farewell lunch for Paul since he is joining a MOE school. Either I am suffering from indegestion or the stomach flu is here to pay a visit again.

Tummy is aching, not a lot but just uncomfortable. There is also a dull ache on the left side which at times seem to 'move' to the centre and back to the left.

Done some santarina work today as well. And I got presents too! hahahaaha Quite fun lor but a broke event. There will be another round tml when my current dept celebrates Christmas with a good lunch (again!) and then gift exchange. Peeping at the tree, think there are many many presents and the excitment kinda builds up coz I'm wondering which 1 will be mine tml at this time. =)

And sucks.. tml I hv to go to the hospital with my grandma and aunt for grandma's check up. It's abit out of the way lar.. and I got to take leave. So sian. But I guess not much of a choice also lor.

Here I am sitting, blogging and feeling sleepy. Later there is a mad hse meeting at 3 pm. No 1 will be there to sms me. Think I will sure fall asleep. Chiam liao lor.. How to stay awake?

Shop shop shop.... Shop till i drop

Today is the brand new day of MNG sale.. I want to go too!!! But sucks.. I'm being stuck at work starring at this screen and can only dream of shopping in MNG. I know that there will be throngs of crowd at MNG. But I still wanna go...

Pity, I cannot even go after work later coz we hv the Penitential Services in CTK so no chance to go shopping. Then tml there is RCIA again and there will be even more ppl in MNG so still cannot shop. *Sigh*

I want to shop, to buy things for christmas, to buy clothes and just to spend $ and enjoy myself but cannot coz no time to go and also no $ to spend.

It's so irriating to want to spend and cannot! Here sitting her and just lament about it! And no chance to go and do something about it!!! Argg!!!!!!

Shopping loses it's fun when u got to keep watching ur wallet and expenses and credit cards... sigh... At times like this, i really wish i hv a super rich man!!! How then can get a rich man?? I think in this lifetime no chance liao... coz... me *sigh* already married a not rich man.. and in the eyes of God... there is no backing out lor..

Grandma's jaw drop.. literally!

Shd I start pressing the panic button coz my grandma's jaw drop and is now in hospital??! I think it's not anything too serious coz her jaws literally drop v often... hai... this comes from being not having enough calcium??

N in the last few years, it happened many times. She's like in and out of the hospital coz of jaws... But I think it is not tat serious coz she will be discharge this afternoon...

I don't know if it is 'pre-arranged' that I am on afternoon leave or what but so happens that she is being dischared and that my auntie called saying that she wants to reach my youngest sis and there is no 1 there to help her coz she is not eng ed... so i volunteered to go with her. Is it the Holy Spirit calling her to call me or what?? My goodness... I don't helieve that she don't have my youngest sis hp no! It is not by concidience that she called me or that I am on half day... (BTW, I am on half day coz I was thinking of gng hm to clean up and then rest and then cook a simple dinner for my friends who are coming ov for dinner tonite)

Just yest, I was talking to a colleague abt how my grandma lost lots of weight and became v frail after falling ill a couple of years back and today the same person that I mentioned needs help.

God really has a strange way of working and moving things. I was wondering if I shd go n c grandma since I got bonus, is a good time to go n at least take a look at her.. n now.. no need to wonder and think anymore.

I really don't believe that this is a concidience that all these happened of all days today.. Though it sort of changed my plans that I had... I guess this is what God want me to spend my half day.... so I just follow lor... I'm sure that the call was placed to me for a reason and that by saying 'Yes' is the right thing to do and not just say '小妹去了学校' and hang up.

Bady Mood!!!

Last night, hubby made me upset. And coz we did not resolve it before we both went to bed, guess it explains the bad mood today! The "badness" of my mood just seem to spil over lor.

So many things happened but no mood to write! Argg...

I won't say yest was a cold day, I will say it is a cloudy day n hubby got to sneeze n sneeze, granted it was rather cold in the church but he din really sneeze then.. when we were outside.. dusty??? NO!!! We were in the shopping malls! Aiyoh.. cannot stand it!

Then in the shops... he made so ngiow remarks abt the presents that we are getting... aiyoh.. v v irriated.. i was trying to keep it under ctrl and not to loose my temper!

Then at hm, he was busy setting up the clothes hanger that we got while i went to keep the food n items that we bought. After doing all these, I went to bathe n hubby was vaccumming the floor. Good that he was helping.

Then after bathing he was just sitting on the sofa while i was folding clothes n the plastic bags.. but gosh!! He nv even raise a hand to help till i told him to. N meanwhile sneeze n sneeze again. I told him if cold wear a shirt n he told me he's hot!

GOsh... and his reaction was like 10 seconds delay?!! WhateverI said got to say twice before he heard me... I feel like a parrot or an answering machine!

Argg... worse.. when i want to talk he say he sleepy 1 2 sleep!!! Gosh.. is this how our communication is gng to be like!?!!?

Whew... had my hse blessed by Fr Yim last Sat.. yar yar.... LAST Sat and I'm only blogging it now... Abit late right. Yes, yes I know.. but for the whole week I was trying to get into the mood of blogging after so long.. so finally, after a long break, I manage to get my fingers on the move again. =)

We invited a few friends over + our Godparents, Brother Daniel, his family and even my PIL came. My PIL actually gave us a bit of a shock earlier prior to the hse blessing. FIL called up and asked us if it's ok if sme other relatives come with them. I agree, it was v swt of him to call and ask but it was still a shock to us coz we already have about 15 ppl in our hse. N with them it will be more than 20! wow...

Anyway, Father came on time, he was like here at about 7.30 pm or close to 8 pm lar... then most ppl were already here so just sit around and wait for my Godma and her family to come over from CTK lor.

PIL came ov at this moment and then FIL kept coming up to me to say take water for them, pour water for them... ok lar. I know I must do that lor.. Just that when he keeps doing it then abit irriated... n I also not v close to them... Don't even know to address them! Can call hubby mar.

FIL brought them to c c here c c there open here n also abit of open there.. i not v upset lar.. but find it rather amusing... think he want to appear tat he has ctrl over me in front of his relatives ba? Coz whenever he comes here, he won't do that, but that day they did.. hahahahahahaha

When Father started the prayers, I think they left the hse and stood outside. Not sure if it's cause too crowded or coz they not comfortable.. but we were too bz to entertain once the prayers start lor..

I was so afraid that there were not enough food for all.. but thank God, just nice.. heng ar.. we order pizza (as usual) then tapow BBQ wings coz like not enough and then i made some potatoe salad and almond jelly longan... my friends say nice.. so means not bad lor.. hahahahhaaha so happy..

Last Sat was the 3 Dec when we have our hse bless... and exactally a yr ago, hubby and me ROM on the same day... v fast. Time really fly by v fast. So fast, 1 year gone. I still remember that evening, when we went for our RCIA class... our dear friends arrange a surprise for us, to help us celebrate our ROM and it so happens that the lesson for that day was on the scarament of marriage.. wow... But a year has pass, good things happen and bad things happen too... the same grp of dear friends.. though we physically see each other the "good feelings" are sort of smeared by some hurts that I have unwittingly given them. Though we have told each other our thoughts, feelings and hurts, the friendship still seemed to be strained. I will do my best to salvage the friendship and my dear friends assured me that all things will start from fresh! =)

Hubby quite sweet.. he gave me a single stalk bouquet for our ROM anniversary (but, of course is me who say no flowers again and again lor.. hai...) but i also learned it.. better than nothing lor.. He drew me a card too.. like children's drawing.. hahahahahaha

Today is already Fri.. v fast, another week gone, 1 mre week closer to Christmas and RCIA night again.. somehow, I no longer have the energy nor am I looking forward to RCIA as much as I used to anymore.. Maybe coz the cats till this moment in time are still v v individual.. sad sia..

Hubby will be missing RICA coz he has dinner with his counterparts fm US. Ever since he change jobs, he has been eating well leh. Tim Sum's, seafood, meals at the revolving restaurant and tonite in CHIJMES.. wow wow...

We more or less have settled into our marriage life but definately there are still some ups and downs and tiff are normal.. but I think it's normal =)

Finally finally... I'm HIDDEN!

Gosh! Guess, I am quite what's that term? "IT idiotic"?? hahahaha.. shame on me man, I was an Engineering student and during the course of my studies did take some modules on puter and IT modules!! hai.. wat a waste of resource to go in and to grad from the course!

But! After trying and finding out and bugging Trina non stop, finally I am hidden from ppl!! And before i go on and on.... I must say that hidden as in not listed on the blogger links or watever u call it.. now Hoorray.... Guess it will stop unwanted readers.. n even hubby won't know what link I hv changed mine too..haha... n why was I so darn scared of ppl reading?? Well... to cut the whole story was coz during 1 high powered meeting, 1 colleague says to find out students who blog and give her the links so that she will go in n read and then "help" the bloggers to write and re-word their entries... hm... with senstitive info in my blog, u can be super sure that I am NOT keen in having her read it! But then again, it was not a huge problem lar.. problme was, I was already getting lazy and stopped blogging for a long long time!

Somehow, was just not in the mood.. anyway... that aside, I am picking it up agian.. slowly but surely I am blogging now!

Chiistmas is rnd the corner and my office has just put up the tree yesterday, it looks pretty cool now, with the red and gold things hanging off the branches, complete with lights. I'm glad they did not have the kind that plays a christmas carol everytime the lights are on! It will be too noisy for our otherwise silent office.

A glass tree is being displayed at my own hm.. we bought it ov the wk end and gosh! U wont believe the price of the tree! It only costs us $29.90SGD complete with the small glass ornaments that hang off the tree and 2 AA batteries. It's really pretty but me and my clusmy fingers broke 1 of it on the same night that we bought it! GOsh!!! Really felt like banging myself then! But hubby was v nice and swt, he just say nvm lor.. n he tease me saying.. the tree was not broken by our kids but by me.. hm... sometimes i really really wonder how he manages to c the funny side of the things.. if we were in reverse situations, hubby wld have been v v badly lashed out by me... hm.... I think I really got to keep my temper in check and learn fm hubby how on earth does he do it!

And ohhhh...... talking abt trees, there's a huge live tree in CTK! I've nv seen or touch a realy live tree and boy was I excited over it! Hahahahahaha.. the tree is so pretty!! N it smells fresh! Smells of pine! (obviously! anyway!)

Heard that it was a donated tree.. wow.... costs more than $800... and the tree when I saw it on Friday nite... wow wow... sparkling with golden balls, ribbons and lights... the ornaments are just nice, not too much but enough to make the tree really pretty. Took some pictures too but sucks the stopid puter can't read my IR.. *sigh* got to wait till I go back to the old office and play with the PC that Teck set up for me to use.. hai..

too lazy to even Blog!!

Don't know y, ever since the fun fair in CTK, I'm just feeling so lazy to blog.. once a few months ago, I would be eagerly waiting for my dear neighbour to turn on his/her labby or wait till I come to office to blog down every single thing.

Guess, it's the life that I am leading to make me become so miserable?? hahahaha.. Don't think hubby will be too happy to hear about it though. Life is really soooo predictable! Morning wake up, freshen up, bathe, prepare bf, make up, sit dw bf wif hubby then go off to work. Then work n work for a few hours a day then after tat go hme... either to PIL or my parents' hm or my own home.. Nothing changes.. hai...

Or it cld also be coz of the high energy level tat was used up during the wedding prep that I find my evenings so boring and useles??

Whatever is the reason, christmas is rnd the corner, better start getting sme festive cheers into my life!!!

tired & confused

Yesterday, we celebrated the annual Feast Day of Christ the King. This year, we had a fun fair for the children along with all the usual fan fair of the various food stalls, the games and also the stage peformances.

Since I don't know when, hubby and I are in the children's fun fair committee.. After weeks of planning and finally 'THE' day was yesterday. We set up the necessary on Sat. So as you can already guess, my Sat and Sun was spent in church. I must say it was for a worthwhile course but gosh... tiring leh!!! Not just tiring, at the end of the day, hubby and I went hm each with a pair of luminious pink hands! Mine was brighter than hubby's coz i kept dipping my hands into the pool of coloured water. Gosh..

Thank Goodness, Yi Yeeng, told me to use lemon to wash off and well, the colouring has gone off a fair bit but my fingernails are still bright pink! I shd have used brown yesterday and I cld have hanna "tatoo" hands man. hahahahahaha

Thought it was fun, but it's just like another event like the OH in my opinion. Something which is to be done once a year and not any more often than that! We were dead tired after it...

Went hm, took a bathe, did soem light hse work and we took a nap. So tired!! Then we were woken up by a phone call and then up we got, hubby was helping me to prepare dinner and also to watch TV at the same time.. But we had a simple dinner, just pasta. N we settled dw to watch Da Vinci Code on TV. Nice show... not that I believed Dan Brown's words but it makes it so much clearer to have a documentray produced and we cld get the facts from there.

Watched abit mre TV and I was so tired that we went off to bed at 10 pm.. and we were dead to the world. So tiring.. gosh..

This morning, hubby had to wake up at 5.40 am.. coz he needs to reach office at 6.45AM!!! Gosh... That's the time i need to wake up! I knew he was awake but I was too tired to even wake up. I continued to slp till it's time for me to wake up... Hubby is swt, he actually told me he loves me before he left the hse =)

This evening, we will be gng to PIL's plc for dinner, haven't seen them for mre than a wk! Last wk we were so bz that we had no tme to go back, today, we made it a pt to go hm for dinner at least pay them a visit. Now tat younger BIL had an op, we also can go n take a look at him.

Smsed him earlier, he says he is ok except that he is in pain. What else right? It's an op!!

I'm sure FIL tonite will have lots of things to tell me, not that I mind just that, sometimes I wish he will not say so much while we are watching TV. But then again, we seldome see him. So besides telling us when he sees us, when else right?

Hm.. somehow after being married, I seem to be mre appreciaitive of the times when my own mum wants to talk to me. Like, I can understand y she say things that she did at that particular time... though at that time I was fumming.. now I seem to be able to accept it better. Guess, after being married, not staying together will help to lessen the impact and truly - absence makes the heart grow fonder...

A few mins before 1 pm, my dad called me... strange that he does not use the home phone to call me but rather, he uses his hp to call me. I wld not have expected anything else. He called to ask me how come his retirement $ is not in the bank yet. Seems like he is hell bent on gng to China.
Hai... how i wish I can just slap him awake and tell him not to go.. but I know I cannot. I wish his acc does not have enough $ for him to take out. At least he has some pocket $ when he grows older.

I don't know y is he so hell bent on gng to China, I know that he is gng with is oldest sister, but hey, they do not have a good reputation, so why is he still taking the chance to go with them. There's so many things that I do not know and do not understand.. but again, I have to have the faith and that God will not let me carry a cross that is too heavy for me. At the moment I don't know what to do with this cross... I don't want to carry it - and I am behaving like a spoil brat, I don't have the energy, the strength & wisdom to carry it - but the Lord will give me just enough to see the whole thing thru!

Another thing is this OH biz.. hai.. been arrowed to do something which is something that I have nv done before... and I have to admit, it is getting scary... but again, as I come to it, it will be resolved coz the Lord will not leave me hanging...

Disappointment...

It was such a disappointment!!! The mega block buster of the year that I was waiting for the whole year long turned out to be such a disappointment!!!! Argg... I can almost cry as hubby & I walked home this morning (12.33am) after the movie!!!!

My gosh.. the movie started off quite ok... with the scene where the old caretaker was at the hse, saw a light and went to the old Riddle hse to take a look and he met Voldemort, Wormtail and the Barty Crouch junior. He died as according to the book as well - the deadly Avada Keda curse. But but Potter is supposed to wake up at his Uncle's hse not at Ron's place!!! Argg... then he is supposed to be fetched to Ron's plc by Mr & Mrs Weasley!!! They had a marvelous time with the Dursleys!! This was gone too. This is the 1st time tat Ron's family met Potter's relatives.. and ALL gone! Argg..

Then it's after a night of good food and laughter that all settled for bed and had to wake up brigt & early so as to go to the worldcup using the portkey.. parts of it was missing! The book also has the part where the ministy of magic was trying to keep the muggle from knowing too much, there was a guy who came up to collect bets, an old muggle whom Authur Weasley had problems with the $.. arggg!!! ALL NOT HERE!!!! =(

The match! oh man.. the match, there's supposed to be great flying by the 2 world cup teams where Krum got the snitch but his team lost, the cheering teams, the leprechuns and the veelas.. all gone!!! The show was just showing Krum and the next moment, end of the match! Then suddenly the noise that created unrest. In the book, all of them were supposed to be sleeping and then the noise was heard! The deatheaters were also playing with the muggles, where they make them float in the air and Harry with his friends were supposed to be lost in the forrest! Not in the ruins of the tentages! There is supposed to be the appearance of the hse elf, Winky which led Hermoine to set up the S.P.E.W! All not here as well!!!

The Kpo Rite Seekter was supposed to cover the story and it's supposed to come out in the daily profet, Molly was in great distress. But nope. The show.. nothing!

Then the appearance of the other 2 magic schools... their entrance is not while Prof Dum is making his speech! They came when the whole sch was supposed to welcome them. But I must admit the appearance of the 2 schools was exactly the way the book descriped it! Nice and magical and wow... impressive! hahahaha

I guess these are small things which the producer think can miss out.. in a way yar lar.. not really impt.. but I feel there are somethings which must be elaborated on! Like the Barty Crouch's son - Junior Barty Crouch, he was sent to Akzaban. How did he come out of it? How come he was prof Moody? How come Senior Barty Crouch was lying in the woods? All these are acutally clues and impt for the understanding of this show! But none was elaborated. Even after being forced to drink the truth potion, JBC was not given the chance to elaborate his escape fm Akzaban! And he was supposed to be performed "the kiss" by the dementers!!! It din happen as well!!! Arggg!!!

And the wands, the wands!! When Voldemort and Harry fought, their wands coz being made fm the same core materials - Phoenix tail, are "brother" wands and will thus, refuse to fight each other, but being forced to fight, 1 wand will repel the other wand, forcing the other wand to reverse it's magic that it had perform and in this case Voldemort's wand was being repel and forced all the killings that he had done to appear in the chrolonigical order. This was mentioned in the show but not much! And I think most of the viewers don't know...

There's so much things missing from the show. But I think it's coz of time. If the show were to go on too long and like the book, then I think I will still be in the movies now..

I feel this show, unless you have read the book, know the story, if not, you don't know what was being left out nor what you have missed.

I'm so disappointed with this show. I feel that there are more things which should have been put in.. the match for 1, the 1st task as to how the other 3 champions battled the dragons, the 2nd task in the water was quite well done and the 3rd... they have also missed out snippets of the 3rd task where Harry and friends were in the maze. Harry came to a spinex.. and hai.. missing fm the show. JBC and his escape fm Akazban, the dementers, Winky the hse elf... even in the book, there's mre being said from the penseive!!!

And the actor who play prof Dum.. hai.... he also another 1... he lacks the former actor kind of authority.. He has neither the quiet authorative and kindly prof that Harry has taken a respect for... So unsuitable for this guy to be the prof Dum!!!!!

All in all, the show is watch for effects... and if you have not read the book, *sigh* don't think you can catch what is the show doing... missed out too many details.. and after the show will be like.. huh? Y this, Y that...

Soooooo disappointed! =(

Harry... Potter

Tonite.. we are gng to catch Harry Potter... after such a long wait, finally the show is out!! Gosh.. can't wait.. but the show is at 9.50 pm. So late!!

I just want to watch now!!! Argg.. another hour before it's time to go hm..

Busy evenings

I thought that after the wedding, our evenings will be so much quieter and not so many things being lined up.

This week is another one of those whole week busy kinda week. Last evening was the only time where hubby and I are free and lazing at home! But, we din laze too much also. The moment I reached home after gng to Prime supermarket to get some veg for dinner, immediately started preparing dinner. All the way till hubby came back, then we settle down and after dinner, coz I forgot to order a Bday cake for EM, so we went downstairs. By the time, we had our bathes, it was already 10 mins to 10pm! Gosh... where did all the time go to??

This evening, hubby is hositing the monthly prayer meeting for the RCIA at our hse. So again, I got to dash back, cook dinner (tonite will be pasta in mushroom sauce, potatoe salad and soup from yesterday). Goodness knows what time the meeting will end but I think it should be around 10pm as well. Since it is just pasta, maybe I can go hm vaccumm the floor and then do dinner... Hopefully hubby can go off on time, if not by the time he reach home will be 8pm, how to be ready for the meeting? When it starts at 8pm as well?

Tml, is thank God, we are gng back to my parents' hse for dinner! And yippee... tml night, we are gng for the Harry Potter movie.. it is a sneak preview.. so I am really excited abt tml night!!

Thurs night, my colleagues will be having dinner at my place. To make things simple, it will be pasta in tomatoe sauce and potatoe salad with green salad as well.. We also will be celebrating EM's bday, that's when the cake we ordered last night will come in. =)

Friday, as usual is RCIA night.

Sat, is props set up day, got to reach CTK by 3pm and do all the set up for the feast day on Sunday. So there goes my Saturday.

Sunday, CTK Feast Day!! Got to be in church by 7.30am.... till it ends which will be 3.30pm (officially closes) But with the cleaning up and goodness knows what.. Gosh... think it is gonna be a tiring Sunday.

Hubby says Sunday nite, we go back to PIL plc for dinner, I think it is good coz I no need to cook, but after such a long day, cannot laze at home, not so good. Furthermore, that very evening, channel 5 is screening Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets! While another channel is showing "Da Vinci Code" so which should I be watching??!! =S I think most likely will be Da Vinci coz, we have the VCD for Harry Potter, does not matter if we miss the 1 on TV, anyway the 1 on TV has way too much commercials! If we are at PIL's plc, we cannot choose and FIL likes to chat while the TV is on... then I cannot watch!!!

Soo there you are.. with all the busy evenings and shows to catch on Sunday evening... busy busy busy isn't it?

Feeling fat!!!

Last nite after a whole week, we went back to my mother's plc for dinner. I think even though my sisters and mum din say it out loud. I think they kinda missed me.. hahahahahahaha

Coz the moment I went back, the hse is "full of life" the hse "woken" fm it's slumber. Think yest was the noiesiest time in the full week! hahahaha

Well, hubby and me sat down to a good dinner of curry chicken and my fav corn soup! I like corn soup. Tasty! Yum! Yum! Must learn how to cook it so next time, I can cook it for myself. Just that I think it takes some time to cook this soup, if not, I can make it in the evenings when I come home lor.

Once we sat down, my fats spill over and my mother wasted no time in telling me that I have grown fat.. hai... even my youngest sister says the same. But then agian, since when do they ever say that I have lost weight?

Nvm lar, now that the wedding is over, put on weight also not as horriable as it used to be then! hahahahaha

Ok.. gtg, go hm cook dinner for hubby.. tonite's menu will be stir fry chicken wings, nuggets, light soya sauce veg and soup. All chicken.. hahahaha.. better than nothing lar.

Silly old man trusts his evil sister so. So much so that he ignores the rest of all voices who speaks up.

And where does this sister brings him to? To china for biz.. and wat biz.. metal biz. Lying to him that her youngest daughter and son in law will work with him to do to biz, but little known to him that they are getting divorced..

Just when he is retiring this "perfect" biz opportunity comes up and with a magic wave of hands, tells the silly old man these:"all the things and prepartion are done, all you need to do is come wif ur retirment $ and we can be the best of partners."

Silly old man believes them, quits his job, leaves his family and off to China he flew. Ignoring the cries and advices of all who cares.

Pity for the family who fears what lies ahead.. but things will work out to God's divine plan. God's divine plans.

And who is this silly old man? "Pa pa" is his name to me. =(

Reflections...

Today is the 2nd day back at work. Surprisingly, it was not as bad as I thought it will be. Coz, I din have that much of work to do. Just lots of mails to clear and now is to follow up with some pending work which I got to settle and see to.

Next big event will be the annual OH. I kind of dreading it but that is the biggest event of my work so cannot siam 1 lar. It is by sheer luck and God's grace that I manage to get the pox during the Oct season. If not, I will be so darn tired!

Just now, I was reading Trina's blog and came across this line that she mentioned... "Sometimes just cooking for the one u love makes u happy esp when you see him eating happily". To me, in the short space of a 2-3 weeks, I have sort of experience this "happiness" hahahahaha.... not that I am a good cook, I just choose to cook the simplest of dishes which does not require much skills nor knowledge. Or maybe it helps that my hubby not that fussy when it comes to food (or rather, when it comes to the food that I put on the table, he eats, I used to think that he's picky abt food coz he will complain that our mothers' cooking not nice.) So kinda surprise that so far, not much complains from him abt the food that I cook. Most of the time, he says the dishes are not bad... wow.. I'm so proud of myself! hahahaha

And to "share" my culinary skills with others, this Sat, some friends are coming to my plc for potluck. I'm gonna make potatoe salad.. hahahaha.. taught to me by Carmen.. So easy, so effortless and I think nice. Finally manage to get the bacon bits.. so with it, I'm sure it will be finger licking... oppss.. should be spoon licking good! hahahahaha

Was talking to Cec earlier today and she was sharing bf woes. That her man seems v frightened of the big "C" - "Commitment" and that she's kinda lost as to what to do. I am not sure what to tell her except to not push and rush him. But then again, with a man who is afraid of commitment, can there be a future to look forward to? Shall I wake her up or just continue to be there as a supportive role and be a gal friend? I'm not sure. Coz I do not have such a bf in my life... or rather, my hubby was nv such a bf. N i did not give the previous guys enough time to prove to me if ther are the committed kind..

Come to think of it now, the guy says he is afraid of monotonous life.. therefore afraid of settling down. Maybe, it's not right to treat every re-ship as though will definately marry the guy.. but if the guy says it straight even after a 3 yr re-ship.. maybe it is time to give it more thought?

She seems to be rather troubled over this not too committed guy... if I were in the same shoes, I guess I will be too? But she made the choice to be with him. At the moment, she sees only him and no 1 else. Though, I suspect there isn't anyone who catches her eyes anyway. Hahahaha

I guess the best I can do is just to be there and listen to her if she needs to.. and keeping her in my prayers.. besides these little things, I don't think there is much I can do?

And just as much as Cec is sharing bf woes, a colleague is sharing bf happiness! What a contrast. Over lunch yest, she was sharing that she met a wonderful guy. Fm the way she talks, Yep, DEFINATELY a wondeful guy... not just wonderful guy. Sounds hunky also. N when I saw the photo... wow! Looks hunky as well. Though they have just started, but wow wow wow... they hv plans for the future!

Really a huge contrast when I sit down now and think things thru! And when I compare my hubby to these 2 men, he is neither... God is really powerful. He creates each of us so differently yet well suited for each other. I cld nv be suitable with the commitment frightened guy, did I mention that he guards his freedom with a capital G?? Both of us will just grow apart! Neither can I be with the hunk, I will be too self conscious of my lack of "belle". All in all, my hubby is still the most suitable for me... He's so patient, giving in to me most of the time, taking in my nonscense and most of all, he loves me mre than I love him! He thinks of me and my happiness 1st (most of the time) always. He will be there when I need him, console me when I am down and now... w/o me saying, he knows too! Guess, this comes from being dating for 7++ years and then of course, being the "chosen half" from divine powers...

Back to work tml...

After such a long long break, finally tml is back to work. Do I sound excited that I'm gng back? Well, yes and no, I guess. After such a long time of lazing arnd and doing nothing, now to go back to work is quite of a 'refreshing' change. But think of gng back to work, also v sian.. Coz I know that now is the time for slogging and to prepare n prepare for the OH!!

Really thank God that i have a good boss, during my 2 wks of pox days, they covered my work w/o complains... But even if they complain also no use lar.. I down wif pox, really cannot go out mar... then after my pox, straight away honeymoon... heng this period is all the events finished liao if not cannot go for honeymoon in peace.. hahahaha

But now... I am nuanning at home... last day for this long long period liao. Tml is back to work. Got to plan plan how to go about doing the morning bit.. Coz I take a long time, n now need to prepare hubby's bf as well, got to fast leg fast hand liao.. If not sure v v late. Sme mre now hubby changed job go to work later also. So means that the bf time all push back.. really got to fast fast fast!!!

But the heng part is hubby come hm late, then plus his long travel distance, still allow me to come hm n prepare him dinner. I'm quite proud of myself lar.. can make him sastisfactory meals. Ov the weekend when we went back to my parents' hm, my mum commented tat he put on weight... So i tease him n say that my food nice so he eats alot.. hahahahaha

Back in SG!!

Whew... after a wk, I'm back in SG!!! Home sweet home!!! Actually was back last nite. But after packing up, putting away and sorting away the things, vaccumm the floor, change bedsheets, wash the sofa cushions, was simply too tired to blog anymore.. So today then blog..

BKK is a hot hot hot plc. Rather like SG i say, though it's dustier, dirtier, not as organised but the things there are cheaper. I won't say v much cheaper than SG. Rather, sme things are cheaper in BKK than in SG. Lingerie by my fav brand, wacoal is definately cheaper!! I bought so many there, a total of 11 bras n 4 panties, costs me less than $200 SDG!!! Where to get for this kind of price in SG?? Bought a couple of T-shirts as well, not v cheap lar... abt $9 each... SG also can get lor.. at pasar malam. But since I am there, so bought a few to "yi si yi si" come back.. hahahaha.. Of course also bought sme things back to distribute to friends n family.. but haven't got rnd to doing it yet.. slowly lar.. too tired to move.

For our 6D5N there, we spent a total of $600 SDG in cash, then also swipe card a fair bit, think we spent close to $1K there... n plus the travel agency... think close to $1.8K in total for the whole trip.. wah lau.. where got cheap?? Expensive leh.

Then the whole of today is spent in CTK, coz we got to do our props for the fun fair on 20 Nov... tiring leh.. haven't had a good slp n early morning got to go CTK liao. Thank God, at least all the props are done, NO need to go back next Sat to continue. Anyway, nt Sat I also not free, my forum friends are coming to my plc for dinner. We completed making all the props at abt 3.30 pm and a bright spark of Godma brought us to Helen's shop in AMK (free ride from Paul) for a haircut... we cut our hair so short that by the time hubby and me got back to CTK for evening mass, ppl who saw us got a shock coz in the morning, we had long hair, in the absence of 2 hours... we changed our hairstyle so totally!! hahahaha But i like my new hairstyle... cool n light!!

N the best part is, tml NO BOW as well!!! Yippee... means we can slp till we naturally wake up... hahahahaha

Hubby is putting all the clothes (that we wore in BKK) into the washer. I must say I hv a good hubby man.... he does the laundry w/o complains!!! I simple hate to wash clothes!

Tml is parents' visiting day.. haven't gone hm for abt 2 wks.. coz of my pox n honeymoon, tml, will be gng back to my parents' hse for lunch, will bring them the things that we bought for them in BKK n then off to PIL's hse for dinner, and same will happen lor, bring them the things that we bought for them. Heng... at least tml no need to go CTK.. n we no need to bring the things walk rnd.
