Much food has been making it's way into my stomach since Nov last year... and the journey of the snacks are still slowly but surely making it's way in...
Among the many many, I rememebered most vividly were the slices of cakes from Pine Garden....
Coffee Moouse, Lychee Martini and Black Forrest! I enjoyed them very much... And come to think of it, am salivating at the memory of Lychee Martini and Black Forrest!
I think there is no need to dwell much more on how good the cakes are. I recommended the cakes to Irene and she, too fell in love with it pretty soon.
I left out my favourite Triple Layer Chocolate as it was simply too sinful to induldge =( But I began regretting my choice in leaving it out almost immediately too.
A few days later, after pinning for Pine Gardens, Triple Layer Chocolate but can't get, I had to satisfy my craving with this HUGE chocolate slice that was sold somewhere in AMK that I shared with Hubby after dinner as I really cannot resist! But it was a really bad choice. The cake was too dry and the chocolate much too sweet. =( A total waste of my money!
One of my Christmas present last year was this big PINK box of Earl Grey Tea! Even the individual sachets are in pretty pink!
To be honest, I've never really enjoyed Earl Grey. I mean I drink, but I would take something else, if there's a choice.
But, this packaging already attracts me and of course, after all these cakes, the best would be to wash it all down with ready tea! Some more, with such a nice packaging, must try!
Surprisingly, the taste is very smooth and the tea fragrant, not like the other Earl Grey I have tasted. Maybe, I don't know how to enjoy my tea... but this Earl Grey is definitely nice! And I've never used "nice" to describe Earl Grey. To me, it tasted a little like soap powder. I know I'm a mountain tortoise. But, ever drink before means never drink before lor.
I guess, my company knows that all of us must have been really feasting over the holidays and I'm wondering if all of us had put on weight that obviously.... coz the next few days, once I was back to work, I got this!
A Pedometer!
Heh! I guess, we all must have been putting more and more weight. The management decides that enough is enough and gave everyone this? Hoping to get more of us on our feet and off our bum bums? They even organised a mass walk during 1 weekday in the evening and the last I heard was more than 400 staff had signed up for this event!
Then, sometime ago, my campus have this "Mobile Sales Team" (don't mean they sell handphones har. It means they move around to sell their things!) coming round to take orders for Fragrance Bak Kwa and other CNY cookies / googies. I bought 500g (x 3) of Bak Kwa for CNY. 1 pack for PIL, 1 pack for my parents and the last pack for ourselves, which are due for collection tomorrow. It's sooo much cheaper in campus than outside lei! I'm saving as much as $5 to $7 per 500g, you know!
Last Saturday, the Godma and I went to Queen's street, and I bought 500g of shrimp rolls, 500g of pork floss rolls and 1kg of cuttle fish. Which, I'm about 1/4 thru the cuttle fish.
Hubby and I are into our 2nd tin of pineapple tarts... and I've more or less finished the mountain of keropok that I bought from campus when we were having the bazzar not too long ago. =/
Today, the mobile sales team came again and I bought 2 boxes of Japanese Mochi.
Red Bean and Green Tea. 1 of each.
And I just remembered, I have yet to get the Julie's Chocolate Love Letters! I suddenly remember seeing my sis ate it last Sunday and made a note to buy. But I kept forgetting.
Julie's Chocolate Love Letters are MUST haves for me.... actually, all the snacks, not even main meals are CNY must haves for ME!
I Love all these!!! Without any of these (with the exception of the Bak Kwa, that's Hubby's favourite), it doesn't feel like CNY.Ohh... And I completely forgot, I just bought 1 big box of Choc n Spice muffins (Their muffins are the best-est BEST! Soft, hot and moist! Hot not because it's in the warmer, but cos it's FRESH out of the oven!!!) over lunch earlier... which I have intentions to eat for Breakfast for the next 2 days with Hubby.

15 days of CNY
From young, my mom taught me that on the first day of CNY, must wear new clothes... as I grew up, I followed thru religiously. At least 1 brand new set of clothes, even undies. =P As I grow older and started earning my own keep... I think I've take it a step or maybe many steps too far.
Most of the time, I have at least 2 sets of new clothes, since I told myself, first 2 days of CNY we are always out, cannot be wearing same things. Fine! 2 sets for CNY.
Then slowly but surely and from goodness knows when... the amount of clothes that I start buying from Christmas and all the way to CNY is enough to honestly last me thru almost the 15 days of CNY! That is like if I count I wear a new top and a new skirt (as a set) once.
With great pride(!!!), I bought another a Beaded Satin Dress and a Satin V Top from F21 (again!).
The dress is meant for OBIL's ROM which is on 18 Feb. As for the top.... well... if I wear a tube inside, no one can stop me from wearing it to work.I was telling hubby last night that I hope the dress will come in time for OBIL's ROM. Hubby's reply was "You have nothing to wear for the ROM meh?" My reply? "Of course have... but feel like wearing this lor... but then again, even if it (the dress) does not arrive in time, I have no lack of things to wear."
Hubby promtly retored with "Ya la. It's not nothing to wear, it's you have events to wear finish or not!"
whahahahahahahaha....
Hubby knows me soo well!
But for the sake of my purse and bank account, I promise that this 2 purchase will be my last for Feb and March.
However, in Feb, there's another purchase coming. My Fancl supplies. I need my washing powder, tonner and moisturizer. Have already ran out of the washing powder, been using another for the time being as I did not want to buy since I'll have birthday privilages next month, which is just a matter of 2 days! Hence, I've been holding out since mid Jan ever since the washing powder ran out.

it's Ang Pow mood...
By now, almost everyone is starting to feel the anticipation, the excitment that the yearly ang pow time is coming again. If you are a non chinese.... Ang Pow refers to the red packets that married chinese containing moo lahs that will be given away to the young and unmarried and elders in the family. This is the biggest and grandest event in the Chinese calendar, which we call, Chinese New Year (CNY). =)
So besides the mad rush to clean house (which hubby and I have not done), to buy and stock up sky high prices of snacks and food (which hubby and I have finished half of what I've bought meant for CNY), the need to get new clothes for at least the first day of CNY, (which I can probably replace my entire wardrobe with looking at the amount of clothes I've recently purchased) the long queues in bank to change for new notes (thank God for the godma, who helped us change yearly) I guess the list is endless... but how can I possibly forget about the mandrain oranges carrier right?!
I try to recycle and reuse, but mine are all spoilt when I used them last year. So this year, no choice, have to get new ones and I got myself these...
Mickey Mouse for the year of the Rat! I reserved the Mickey Mouse carrier for myself and the "fa chai" for Hubby since I honestly don't believe he will be very happy carrying a bag of Oranges with Mickey...I knew my mother would like the "ong lai" (pineapple) so I gave her that and yes, I was absoultely right. She loves it.
In addition to these, Jeff bought me this.
Ha! A fabric mandrain orange bag! Now, this is really something that can be recycled and reused for a good long time! I saw something similiar last year, but the better half stopped me from buying... so I used the paper ones which broke.
Anyway, this year, I shall bring 2 bags of oranges
when I go out to make my CNY rounds! =)
Well, at least, my clothes, snacks, food, carriers are settled. Things could be much worse and not anything is done at all... The cleaning up... we shall start pretty soon.... right, Darling?! =D

Chow Time
Usually, chow time for me is in campus with my usual kaki. Because we both have no transport, the furthest by far we have went is maybe Bishan for variety, on the rare occasions that we have transport, we'll venture a little further.
But today, as my kaki need to collect her lens and specs, we made our way to Velo city and square 2. First stop, was to the optician to collect the necessary and then we went on our search for food.
The SA at the optician recommended us to Korean or Pasta Waraku. But I'm not keen for pasta as I just had it on Tuesday. So we settled for Korean. Which I think was a good choice!
I ordered the hotplate fried Saba Fish which came with seaweed soup and rice.
The fish was qutie fresh and the portion huge! I thought the fish would be the small cut kind but I was wrong!
The skin was crispy and flesh sweet and soft. Coupled with the black sauce and veggies, it tasted heavenly! I finished every morsel of it and pretty much of the veggies. Except the lettuce that the fish was on.. as by the time I'm done, the veg was soaked with oil! Of course, I left that alone then.
Together, we shared a hotplate potatoe pancake. Tasted more flour than potatoe. But when it was dipped with the sourish and spicy sauce that accompanied the pancake. It was quite nice. There was a chewy kind of feeling that I quite like. Similiar to that of the taiwan muah chee. But honestly, the hotplate potatoe is nothing much to rave about. I think I will try the rice cakes next time. =)
Oh, before I forget, the restaurant is
Seoul Yummy
Square 2 #03-68
and if you are in the area and need some help for your eyes, check out "United Optometrist" too. (It's just a few doors down the same corridor!) Look for Arion and mentioned my name... Maybe he'll give you a good discount like he gave the kaki when she mentioned my name. =D
Good things must share, so have just shared a good place for makan and a good optometrist!
Of course, after such a fullfilling meal, we have to exercise it off. Walked around and our legs brought us to URS. One of my favourite shoe shops if my kaki is with me, coz she has the membership card. There was promotion for almost all the shoes inside and with the card, additional 10% off!
I scored for myself this black dainty looking pair. The height is just nice. Roughly 2.5" or so. I like the material, makes it look causal and feminine and at the same time, without killing myself in it!
The kaki also bought the same pair for herself. =) But she bought another pair too which I think she will blog soon... so that's that for the moment.

Masks
I know I buy alot alot of things. But there are some things that are absoulte necessary.
One of the absolute necessity is face masks. Recently, I noticed that there are more blackheads and tiny little things at my nose and ever since my facial salon said my package expired, I refused to go back. I've been trying to make appointments with Fancl, but it's really so tough.
Hence, instead of squeezing all those hateful things out myself and harm my skin in the process I'll use this.
SHISEIDO Vital Perfection Mineral Mud Blackhead Removal Mask
Description: Shiseido’s latest skin care technology development, the SHISEIDO Vital Perfection Mineral Mud Blackhead Removal Mask is highly effective at reducing and removing black heads. At the same time, it helps in tightening the skin and reducing enlarged pore size . It is easily absorbed into the skin and quickly removes black heads, resulting in clean, clear, and revitalized skin.
Instructions: After cleansing, gently spread and apply evenly over cleansed, dry face, avoiding the eyes, lips, and eye brows. After the mask has dried (approximately 30mins), peel off from the outer edges upwards towards the centre gently. Then apply your usual toner and moisturiser. This can be used on the whole face or on the nose area only if you like. 2 – 3 times a week is sufficient.
Volume: 12 ml. Made in Tokyo, Japan.
Just placed an order for 20 of such masks and can't wait to try it out. BTW, the silly Biore pore packs does NOT work on me. Anyway, this mask is cheaper! At only $1.20 a piece.
In addition to this, my eye masks have also ran low, so I placed an order for 20 pieces of Collagen Eyes Masks too.
Collagen Eye Mask
Description: Has 3-in-1 effects of reducing eye bags, dark eye circles and wrinkles!
Selling outside for $2 per pair.
Main Ingredients: 膠原蛋白、左旋C、透明質酸、甘草酸、水解粘多醣
Weight: 6g (1 pair)
After being out in the sun, your skin will lose some nutrients especially collagen. When you get tanned, you still can revert to being fair but once you lose collagen, this is irreversible. If you don’t replenish in time, your skin will quietly get damaged and age. Beauty professionals warned that the greatest enemy for our skin is not aging but the day-to-day harsh environmental elements.
Product has 100% natural collagen, Vitamin B5 and this helps in moisturising and promoting circulation. Causes the cell growth factor VA and VE to quickly be absorbed into the skin and reactivate the dormant cells. This helps to rejuvenate the eye area, stimulate the metabolism and improve how your eyes look.
Use twice a week. You can massage the remaining essence into the skin near your eye.
I got this at $1 a piece. Cheap right? Even if I were to get from retail shops, also cannot get at this kind of price.
So, yes, call me spendthrift, but all these are absolute necessary in my little bimboatic life!
All photos and text of products are credited to Eden Roses. Whom, I must say, sprees for good and cheap things! Do check her out if you are interested.

Addiction
Been in hiding for a long time, there's quite a lot of things I wanna blog about. I've even thought of topics that I wanna put in, things like... a step by step guide as to how I do my make up daily, pictures of the things I've bought, my boring life, my soon to start new semester and books.... but somehow, the feeling to write flew out of the window everytime I think I should write something.
So, today, Finally, I 'forced' myself to pen something, least all of you forget me and I'm getting bored with looking at my same entry everytime I log in!
Once upon a time, I was a blog addict. I can blog as much as a few times a day. Since don't know when, the passion and interest faded. Then slowly I only make an entry every few days... and as more time passes, I become even lazier and the entries came lesser and less frequent.
People who know me, will know that I'm an addict... to shopping and yes... I do not disappoint.
Once again, I bought more things. More and more things, I should say. This time, it's more Benefits Cosmetics.
I sold my blusher to Irene's sister and in place, I got another as the shade was too light for me.
Then I bought the eyes make up removal because, what I'm using currently is more expensive, I figured, I can save some moolahs with the switch.
And horrors of horrors! I broke my 4th bottle of Clarins Blemish Treament few nights ago! Which, I've broken all previous bottles and has never yet managed to finished any single bottle! I'm so angry at myself, I decided to look elsewhere and ditch Clarins. So, I got the "Ka Pow" which is supposed to clear the zits. =(
So ya, I'm a shopping addict. Through and Through.
I've even created a table (modiefied's from Irene's) to capture all my spendings.
I'm really trying my best to cut down on my expenses, but looking at my various reasons (excuses?) to keep buying, will I ever be able to reduce my expenses??

Back from Timbaktu
Since the start of the new work year, I've never had a chance to seriously blog an entry. A nice, long entry, I mean.
I've been so busy with work, students' attendance, training and preparations for the Open House that just past and then after that was the clearing, cleaning up!
I realized, I've missed out so many happenings in the office! I did not even have the time to read my emails in detail. Hence, I almost missed out my free Pedometer. =/ almost missed the 'pek kim' collection for 1 of my Deputy Director. And it was also at the last minute that I signed up for the mass walk that was held earlier this evening. Finally had the time to attend the last and final session on the familiarization of the Windows 2007 today.
Oh gosh... The last 2 weeks were simply MADNESS! The moment I went back to work, it was as though I was fighting a fire. A HUGE STRONG all ENGULFING FIRE! Rushed like mad to train the students for their role, I had to organized 7 sessions for them. And still, I have missing people, not all were present! Shouted myself hoarse at them. Finally decided that shouting does not work. I gave them my killer look and it worked! Nice to them, they don't want, must make me loose my temper then they behave!
Then all the questions about changing shifts as they don't want to do the Sat shifts or something, had to explain and answer each one in detail....
Attendance.. that is another headache. 7 sessions and I only managed to train less than 2/3 of the cohort, the rest just don't bother to turn up at all! Then got to key into the master copy who has attended, who has not.
Came the actual day of the Open House, mornings are not so bad. The afternoons are a challenge, all the silly schools just want to arrive at the same time! It did not help that a new colleague just joined us... well... we sort of crossed paths during one of the afternoons.
I was trying my best to assign the students out asap to the necessary points and she was there, reminding me that school XXX is arriving at 1pm at a certain carpark. For the first few times, I answered, "Yups. Will come to that". There came a point when I cannot take it anymore and I snapped! I replied her with a very frustrated sounding "Yes. I know. Now. NOW!"
Even my students were taken aback and he was saying cool down cool down...
Not that I'm being arrogant nor impatient. I know the schedule, I DID and planned THAT schedule, I'm already trying my best to do the assigning, by her reminders, it just irked me more especially, I've already answered her many times. Immediately after my outburst, I felt guilty, but honestly, I did not have time to dwell on it too much, needed to keep going.
I feel, we both don't have enough 'chemistry' working together for the time being. I've never had this problem with any of my previous colleagues. Our working styles are different and I know we got to learn to adapt to each other and work out the best way for our team. Just that, we did not have enough time to build up the team spirit and then we were thrown this mammoth task of Open House.
It will get better. It's too early to say that we can't work together, but definitely, we are both trying, of course, with her being new, there are times, when she called me many times a day to check on things. So far, I'm glad to say, I've been answering her patiently. The one and only time was during the Mad House last week.
This about summarizes my hectic weeks ever since I've step into office and hence the lack of entries.

Bad bad bad!
I realized I have a very bad habit. A habit that will sooner or later send the banks after me very soon and have to get new drawers, shelving cabinets too.
No... not that I owe banks money nor delay payments on my credit cards. But it's this bad habit of buying and buying.
An example will be, I've just recently started using Benefits Cosmetics... but to date, my whole stash of BC is this much....
A total of 10 items in less than 2 months!!!
Not to mention F21, I've forgotten what and how many I've bought. I think I still have 2 brand new dresses to be worn and I have 1 more on the way now...Racerback Dress.
Which silly Hubby claims looks like apron and asked me why I buy! =S
Hence, this year, one of my new year resolution shall be, REDUCE purchases!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello 2008. Bye Bye 2007.
A brand new year is here already. =) Anticipating? Exciting? Another year is here and what ideas, motivations, dreams do I have for the next year, actually I haven't even thought about it at all.
But nevertheless, I'm sure the new year will bring about new challenges, passions, knowledge, experiences, trials and blessings.
On reflecting, 2007 was a year of experiences, trials and blessings.
I got to also be very thankful for a stable job that pays rather well and my organization for sending me to upgrade myself and paid for my course in SIM. Studying PT while working FT was something that I thought I will not do again after my Adv Dip years ago. But. I'm doing it again. This time, with more more effort that I've ever put into any of my studies.
And thus far, I've got quite good grades. Grades that made me happy enough. It's not straight A's but to me that's ok. I'm pleased with my grades.
We got for ourselves our God-daughter, Clara.
Many times, I questioned God, Lord, why give us Lama, that gave us hope and joy and only to have it taken back. I do not know the answer. All I have is the faith and belief that it is his planning and in his own time, all will work out.
I also got to be very thankful for a wonderful husband, a blissful marriage, healthy parents and siblings. My siblings, both in laws and my own did give me some heartaches over the last few months, but well, I guess, time can heal all wounds and it should get better over time.
Friends, colleagues, family members who are so supportive thru my down time the past few months.
I guess, the year 2007 has indeed been a rather good year for me. Ups and downs but the ups far far outweigh the downs.
With a grateful and heart full of thanksgiving, hubby and I together with the rest of Godma's godchildren, we went for the Thanksgiving mass in Novena yesterday. As usual, we all meet up for dinner and then made our way to Novena Church for mass.
By the time, we reached home and settled down, it was almost 2.30am and still feeling too excited to sleep. We lazed in front of the google box till 4.30am. We were just chatting and watching the program. It felt really good to usher in the new year with my loved one beside me, peacefully, chatting merrily and relaxed in the home that we both set up.
I think 2008 is a going to be a great year!
To date, I already have 3 wedding invitations spread through out the year. Not to mention, the number of babies that are coming to greet the world... the number is quite staggering. I kind of already lost count of the number of babies expected!
Of course, this year is going to be challenging too. Hubby and I will be embarking on our respective programs together. Meaning to say, we will have lesser time to spend with each other and also financially, we may be tighter than usual since he got to pay for his school fees and I expect I will have to take over more of the bills.
I have a new colleague whom I heard is not as easy to work with, but then again, it's too early to tell. So.. it could still turn out both ways.
Hubby and I even managed to find some time and drag our lazy bums for a short game of Frisbee. It was quite fun, just enjoying the breeze and also spending some silly moments together.
It seems like a good start to 2008 and with plenty of graces and blessings, I'm sure 2008 will turn out to be a year of joy and all good things. =)
2008....Here I come!

Fancl
All along, I know that Fancl offers facial services. But I've never went for their services... cause of a few reasons.
Since, I've always had my own facial salon where I hold a package and I find Fancl's Facial services very location limited and also rather far.
But today, I went for it to try it out. As my previous salon has pissed me off. The countless times, after my facial, they will push more packages to me despite that I still have an existing package with them! Even when I say no, the beautician will go out on the pretext to get the form for me to sign and then another more senior person will come in and push some more! I had enough. But the last straw was they wanted me to sign more sessions after claiming that my existing package has expired! Telling me that there is no expiry date when they were telling me to sign for a package and then last month, tell me it has expired! What the F***!! So angry. Refused to have anymore to do with them!
Anyway, back to Fancl. Since I'm already using their products, I thought might as well for for their facial. Since the whole session would be using their products and their services are really very reasonable!
With the bad experience I had, I was rather apprehensive to go. But then no choice, my skin needs the attention. Made an appointment way in advance and went down today to try.
I must say, I'm very impressed!
The beautician did a scan of my skin and then proceed to tell me what areas I should take note off and then brought me to the room. The bed is big and comfortable. The blanket soft and warm! I almost fell asleep during the session!
The beautician is also very gentle, and though the removing of black heads hurt, but can feel that she is skilled and good. Also, instead of just manually washing my face, she uses an electric brush to do it. Can feel that my skin is getting a good cleanse!
The room is even equipped with a small dresser!
Maybe I mountain tortoise... but my ex-salon don't have. So I'm impressed with Fancl's which is complete with make up, hair sprays, brushes and even hand cream! What actually impressed me most of all is that the beautician does not hard sell at all. ZILCH!
All she said to me was, "you can try our washing powder" in which my reply was, I'm using that already.
Maybe I'm an existing customer hence she does not need to hard sell the products. BUT!!! She does not even hard sell the facial packages because there is none at all! I wanted to sign up for package but there is none! So there is not even a need for her to hard sell anything.
I really like her service and the prices are so reasonable. Can check out the details here. I did the Continental Facial at the beautician's recommendation. She did not even like recommend the most expensive facial. She recommended based on what I need.
And, even after the massive black heads removal, my face was not even very swollen. Of course, there are some red spots, but by night, it was almost gone. I was not even bleeding. My ex-salon used to poke till I bleed leaving angry red spots!!! That's really very professional and skillful of her, agree?
After the session, a warm cup of green tea is serve. I think it's the Fancl Green Tea. Not the usual ones that's sold outside as it tasted much thicker than the normal ones.
But despite having said so many good things, there are some draw backs. =(
One of it is the location. It's in town. So after facial, got to walk around with a bare face (even with heading home immediately after the session) and then with some slight swollen portions on the face, that is something that I need to get over.
Another is the limited customer space. They can only take in a maximum of 2 customers at any one time. So that means, bookings are rather hard to make. I tried to make an appointment for Jan and it's fully booked. Ok la, rather late now to make for Jan booking. So, next appointment is in Feb.
Payment wise also rather troublesome. You take the invoice, go to the Isetan Cashier to make payment then go back to the Fancl Counter to take back the membership card.
So, all in all, there's some pros and cons. As for me, I'll go back. I'll just try to make my bookings WAY in advance! The rest of the other things I guess, I'll just have to get over it. Anyway, at night, while walking in the streets, not so clear right? Can't see my face la. Only when in the public transport, then it looks more obvious. Payment.... I can live with that la.
So, yes, I'm a happy customer. =)

clothes
Earlier today I did an entry on Hubby's new clothings. And I think I am not doing justice to mine if I don't have some pictures too!
But on second thoughts, I'm too lazy to take individual shots and then piece it back altogether as the amount of new clothes I have is rather staggering. Don't believe?
This is the amount of clothes I have when it's all neatly folded with the labels and price tag cut."Chey!! Not alot?"
Ok... then how about like this?My sexy T100 is barely wide enough to capture all of it! And I was standing on a chair already!
Another view, this time from the right. It took almost the entire length of the wall to lay out all my clothes. I think I have far too many already. Tops, dresses, tunics, skirts and shoes. It's almost an entire wardrobe. And that's also a rather small fortune spent on it.
Thank God, none of the pieces are branded nor too expensive. With the exception of 1 top that exceeds $30 and a dress that's $42, all the pieces are below $30! Opps! Guess, I forgot the working skirts, those are also rather pricey.... about $37. =( Hence, it's not a small fortune. Change it to a rather big one.
This is not even inclusive of the leggings and some accessories that are being mailed to me currently. =(
This time round, I spurge on shoes.
The heels with a ribbon on it, those 2 pairs are pretty expensive, about $45 each (after 30% discount!). But this is the first time, I found such comfortable pumps!
It fits perfectly and it does not cramp my toes nor do I slip out of it when walking which I normally have this problem with such shoes. Either it cramps my toes when it's too small or my feet falls out when walking even if it's the right size! Very funny right?! But I have none of these problems with that 2 pairs!
The other 2 pairs has abit of an elastic to it and it's also quite comfortable. Best, it's less than $20 at CK Tangs! I think this brand suits my feet pretty well, "Tangerine". Will look for this brand from now on! Of course, have to look for the "on sale" ones. =P Cannot afford the expensive and no sales ones.
On a completely different note, I bought a tunic / dress for Godma yesterday.
Here's how it looks. I like the color and I think she will too, I hope. But not too sure of the size. I got an M for this... as the S really looked tiny. You think it's too 'young' for my Godma?!
*worried*jitters*bite fingers*
I really do hope she likes it and the size is right!!!

Batch 1 of Benefit Cosmetics
Finally! After a much long awaited wait, the Batch 1 of Benefit Cosmetics are finally here!!!
Now, got to wait for Batch 2 and 3 before all the orders are in and then I can start to distribute to all my girlies who have ordered with me. Will also split up the Free Gifts that are enclosed and then split it among all if I can.
And within this box, these are for me!
Still have a few more items in Batch 2 and 3 that are mine. But mostly would be my friends' items.
But, it's already after the estimated delivery date and still no news yet, and Irene sent an inquiry to them and this was their reply.
"I have checked our records and see that the order summary in Your Account estimated that your order would be delivered by Dec 21, 2007 to the following address:
Although this time has just passed, we would like to ask that you wait until close of business on Dec 31, 2007 for your shipment to arrive. It's been our experience that the majority of late packages arrive just a few days after the expected delivery date. For this reason, we kindly ask that you allow the additional days for your shipment to be delivered.
Please note that for shipments outside the U.S. DHL/Deutsche Post carries shipments to the destination country, but the final delivery is handled by your local postal service. Therefore, you may want to check with your local post office. Please note, however, that these shipments do not have tracking numbers."
What a bummer. Not sure if it's already with Sing Post or what too. Since there is no tracking number. But I have a strong feeling it is. The recent Holidays has increased the workload of all post offices and postmen... so I guess, there is nothing we can do but to wait patiently.
My apologies to my girlies if you are hoping to get it before Christmas. I thought we could get it before Christmas too, but unfortunately no, we can't.
I'll let you know the moment it's here.

Christmas is over.
With a blink blink of the eyes, Christmas is already over.
We had a few Christmas Gatherings with different groups of people and it was all fun, noisy and nice with the catching up and just looking at how fast the children grow up and watching them entertain us.
Thanks for all the pressies that I've received. Some are quite naughty, hor, Lynn? =P
We ushered in Christmas in CTK where we went for midnight mass and after that on Christmas itself, we were both sleepyheads and only woke up after noon, or rather, I did.
Headed to PIL's place for dinner and that was it.
And for today, Boxing Day, the first thing that hubby did was to go to the doc. He was running a temperature and now given 2 days of MC. We had originally planned to go to Isetan for their private sale tomorrow. But now, looking at him, not sure if we'll be able to go there.
We shall see how tomorrow.
I heard that the post Christmas sale is worse than that of the Christmas sale. I'm tempted and yet so scared of heading town just in case I spend too much since I have already done that for Christmas. (and the credit card bills are not settled yet since the bill is not here yet too...)

Christmas Eve!
Finally Christmas Eve!!!
What I've got planned out for today?
Well, for a start, it will be waiting for the delivery of my (our) Benefit Items, to clean up the house a little after the gathering we had yesterday we had with friends. Then to take a good rest, an afternoon nap sounds about right? =)
Then it will be to prepare and doll myself for our date evening out with Atina, Emma and of course Hubby!
We'll be catching "Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium" at AMK Hub at about 6.20pm. We had a long discussion before we decided on this show since there's so many other movies worth watching but I wanted to watch something happy and cheerful on Christmas Eve and not something which requires me to think too much and then feeling sad after the show kind.
Also tried to make dinner reservations after the movie but unfortunately the restaurants in Hub all do not take in reservations as it's the eve of P.H. We'll just have to try out our luck and hope that there will be some place not overly crowded that we can all have a good meal before mass.
We'll then move off to CTK for midnight mass and to celebrate Christmas!
I'm getting quite excited at the thoughts of it all now. =)
Hubby is working, poor thing. But he sure is going to be busy for the whole of today too! His team leader has very kindly bought the whole team tickets to "National Treasure" to celebrate Christmas. Hence immediately after work, they will all go and catch the show. Then he won't be able to join them anymore but come home to get ready to go out again.
We had a few of our CTK friends over for a small Christmas Gathering at our place last night. Was Lynn's idea for a gathering and we merely offered our place since we thought anywhere outside would be crowded.
We had Carmen, Gabriel and Baby Chantel, Cindy & James, Jeffrey, Ken, Karen, Clare and Cedric, Lynn, Max and Baby Xaiver, Mabel, James and Jeffrey Boy over for dinner.
Being the horrible cook that I am, we did a pot luck dinner. That solves all food issues. We had quite a lot of food and I think everyone was satisfied with the spread. Almost all the food was gone!
After they left, Hubby and I got to clean up the place a little, the furniture needs to be shifted back and of course the floor got to be mopped.
Too tired to do much else last night, I got to also wash the sofa covers today too. And that's what gave me the time for this entry. Have just hung up the laundry, next will be to vacuum the floor too.
I think I heard the postman downstairs. =) I sincerely do hope he quickly comes up with my Benefits Loot!! Maybe if it's delivered in time, I can try it all out for tonight!
My dress is already done. Shoes and Bags... hmmmm... Don't know what and which to wear. I wanna bring my sexy T100 with me also.. hence need a slightly bigger bag for it all. But yet, still must match my dress. =/
Later shall go thru my collection of bags and see if I can find anything suitable. Else, will just find the best match. Too late to go out to do anymore shopping anyway. Plus, I dare not step out of the house to go to town. I think I won't be in time to get home to prepare myself if I do head to town!
Enough talk. Got to move my butt.

Friday, December 21
Very busy and tired.
And this is to be expected.
I've been shopping, shopping and shopping non stop for the last 3 or 4 days in a row! Though I've been on my feet for so long, hunting and shopping, I'm very disappointed to say that the shops are such a disappointment! Honestly, I din buy much, considering the fact that I've been shopping all these days.
Thursday, 13 Dec. Day 1 of shopping
Shopping with Godma and Nicole. We hit Marine Parade early in the morning. All I got there was 2 miserable tank tops from Isetan, MNG, which is honestly nothing since I can't be wearing tank tops to office all the time. Managed to get Christmas presents for the kids too. Hengs!
We thought we'll have better luck if we move to Tampines Mall. Which prove to be worse!!! There is absolutely NOTHING worth buying! Within 5 mins, we head out of Tampines Mall and at this moment in time, Nicole made a brillant suggestion! She suggested People's Park. Weird place? Kind of, but at least the things there are something different and the prices reasonable!
And I manage to get a yellow / grey tunic, a polka dot skirt and a nice purple top! After a whole day of shopping in the malls and nothing, I was very happy with the tunic, skirt and top. Best of all, it's only $80 for all 3 items, which works out to be about $27 each.
I asked Godma to cart my things home, since I'm meeting Tri for dinner at Suntec and I did not want to bring all the things with me over town. She very kindly did that for me. =) Had a nice steamboat buffet dinner with Tri before she goes to BKK / Taiwan. As usual la, put the 2 of us together, we'll chat about anything and everything.
My loot for the day, 2 tank tops from MNG, 1 tunic, 1 polka dot skirt and 1 purple top. Damage at a mere $94.
Friday, 14 Dec. Day 2 of shopping
Another day with Godma. But this time, we had Bro with us. We went for a nice Penang Food Buffet at OCC, before Godma flies off to Holyland. We were all so stuff with food that the moment we got up, we felt like puking. Food was good, that explains why we were so stuff out. We can't even bear the thought of getting into Bro's car as the moment will definitely bring up all the food. We hang around the golf range and chit chat. Nice weather too. Breezy and then rain, so it was very cooling. =)
Bro needs to get back to office so he dropped us at the nearest MRT station and Godma and I went to Causeway Point in the hope of getting something. The shops are repeats of the malls and after yesterday's disappointment, we both walk around feeling disheartened and did not carry much hope.
But finally, after walking for sooo long and in search of office wear, I finally found something. By chance, we walked into DANO and I found nice office skirts! A little pricey at $49 but there's 25% discount for DBS card holders. So end up, I paid about $37 for each skirt. My skirt can lasts very long, so I guess, for that price, it's considered as reasonable.
Godma walked away with a little handbag and another tunic while in the same shop and her damage was close to $70 while mine was at $150. Twice her amount!! =(
Went down to Metro as I need to get a present for Hubby and since I already know what I want to get, within 10 mins I was done.
Finally, some working pieces for myself. Pricey but no choice too.
Saturday, 15 Dec.
Hubby was working and I woke up late. Decided to take a break and not hit the towns especially since it's the weekend, the crowd in town is going to be crazy and it's going to be full of last minute shoppers. Stayed home and rest and also forced myself to do some household chores. I'm on leave for so long but not doing anything, high time to move my butt. I figured.
Supposed to go to J8 for midnight shopping but it was raining the whole day. We got lazy and just decided to order in Pizza and rest in front of TV.
Sunday, 16 Dec. Day 3 of shopping
As usual, Mass in the morning. Had lunch with Jeff and Emma at Bishan and then I forced the 2 guys to walk with me to digest off those kilos after Emma left with Atina to catch Warlords.
I actually din plan to get anything after all, I've hit 2 big malls and probably have seen almost everything. Yet, I still managed to get a dress at PurPur. I already saw this dress in Woodlands, just that no discount then so not willing to spend so much, J8 had 20% off so decided to get it together with a belt.
Damage was $42.
Monday, 17 Dec. Working Day
Poor me, though on leave, still went back to office to clear work as I needed my mgr to sign documents! I thought I could leave by lunch, who knows. Was delayed till 3pm!
Finally left and went to Square 2 to pick up my contact lens and bought a box of donuts from Donuts Factory. First time to the branch in Novena and wow. That branch is big enough to actually have seats for the customers to enjoy their donuts with a cuppa!
Tuesday, 18 Dec. Day 4 of shopping
Brought my youngest sis to Far East Plaza and she bought so much things... on my expense account. Told her will bring her shopping since I cannot stand the way she dresses when she goes to school, bought her some new clothes which she can wear when she go to school and even save 1 or 2 pieces for the coming CNY.
2 tops, 2 tunics, 1 dress, 1 MNG shorts and 2 pairs of leggings plus a haircut within a day for her and all I got for myself was a belt and 2 tops. Better than nothing, at least got 2 tops. Moreover, Far East, all the young young things, can get something for myself, I think it's pretty good.
Wednesday, 19 Dec. Day 5 of shopping
This time, I hit town with Irene. She bought LOTS. I really mean LOTS!!! Can't really remember what she bought but her hands are carrying as much as 5 bags of shopping loot at a point in time. Which we tried to squeeze smaller things into the bigger bags to save space and carrying.
Halfway thru, we both decided that we need a break. And the nearest place was this little cozy cafe tucked inside CK Tangs itself. Both of us had never been there, hence we decided it was the best bet. Furthermore, it will allow us to continue shopping at Tangs when we are done too.
Island Cafe.
They have the afternoon tea promotion. A slice of cake and a coffee / tea or Cappuccino priced at $6.50. We felt it was just reasonably priced too. I had Blueberry Cheese with Cappuccino and Irene had something chocolate and coffee.
Upon seeing her slice of Cake, I immediately regretted my choice! Hers was sooo huge and from her look, I bet it tasted heavenly! But I was having sore throat, hence I should not be eating any chocolates for the time being, hence the Blueberry Cheese. Well, mine's pretty good too. Soft and cheesy!
Anyway, I got myself 2 pairs of shoes and a top from MNG. Damage for myself was about $100 I think, plus or minus. More likely plus.
With 5 days of shopping, I secured for myself 1 tunic, 1 dress, 2 belts, 2 pairs of shoes, 4 tops and 5 skirts. I still feel it's not a lot since I spent 5 days looking and searching, but it is a good start. Erm... Not a good start. I must stop shopping for now already. Way too much money spent on the loots already. Which I think is approximately $460... that does not include all the food that were being paid and consumed nor my sis's loots. In a matter of weeks, I've spent that much on clothings... Sounds very sinful to waste good money like that. But then again, clothes is also a necessity right? Just that, may not need as many as I've been buying and buying. =(
Anyway, this shall be enough to last me over for CNY and till the GSS in June 08 then. =) I am too lazy to take photos of my loot to post it up... Hence, no photos at all.

Jasmine
Feeling "bo liao" enough and took a quiz that I stolen from another's blog... and it says I'm a Jasmine Princess. =S
Which Disney Princess Are You? | |
![]() | You are Jasmine. You are loyal and would visit the ends of the earth for what you believe. You would never let obstacles stand in the way of true love. |
| Find Your Character @ BrainFall.com | |
Feeling tired but not tired enough to go to sleep yet. I'm really quite achy from the 2 solid days of shopping. Shall blog about that another time. Which turn out to be such a great big disappointment after 2 solid days in the streets of Singapore!
The malls are soooooooo boring!!! Argh! But, still, thank God, manage to get something, just not as much as I would like to lor. =(
Throat's also feeling funny. The kind of dry, scratchy feeling that's deep inside, where no matter how much water that I pump in, it's not enough kind. =( Think I'm going to be under the weather for a while now.

Accessories
I've had enough of shopping for clothes and cosmetics and this time, I shopped for Accessories. I think I can feel some of the heads shaking at me already. =(
I only got myself 2 pieces of accessories....
Gros Grain Charm Bracelet
and Twin Cross Necklace
Gotten myself another pair of leggings in Navy.
And this is the Dress that I bought so long ago but did not manage to find a picture of it.
The Grecian Braided Knit Dress.
I have so many new clothes and all, will be saving this for CNY 08. Color seems abit dull so I'll wear it after the first day of CNY.
Or pair it with those glittering trinkets I'm getting and it'll be better.
Edited on 12 Dec. I completely forgot that I ordered a Wide Rib Cardigan for this cold cold season in Sunny Singapore!
I guess by the time it arrives, it'll be no longer cold and wet, but there's no stopping me from wearing it in office right? It looks perfect for office especially since my given jacket was torn last year and the whole of this year, I've been wearing this "Samuel and Kelvin" jacket that I see my own students wearing. Abit too like them already la.
Once, I came out of the lift and a group of girls started giggling and laughing because, I was wearing the same jacket as one of their classmates!! I know it's nothing, but the feeling is not very comfortable. =/ Or is it an excuse for me to buy again? =S

Once started, hard to stop!
Again, I broke all laws.
Even just sitting in front of the PC is a bad choice now.
Just before I left for my half day leave, I keyed in another order for Benefits. I've been buying sooo much of Benefits these days! I MUST stop!!!
I got myself the eye bright to conceal my dark circles and fine lines.
"Product Description:
This miraculous pink pencil brightens tired eyes for that young, wide-awake look. With a smooth, creamy texture and its perfect shade of brightening pink, eye bright helps conceal and brighten the shadows in the corners of your eyes while lifting the outer corners of the eye, making you look wide-awake and radiant!
Tips and tricks: Apply as your final step after you have applied all other makeup. Draw 3 to 4 short strokes in the area between the bridge of your nose and the inner corner of your eye where dark shadows linger. Also, draw a light line from the outer corner of your eye up and toward the end of your brow. Do not over blend. To keep it bright, be sure to let some pink tint linger."
I got the Hush Blusher as well.

"Product Description:
Cheer up your cheeks with one of these beautifully natural shades. The lightweight-blendable formula dries down to a perfect silky powder finish...it's "sheer" perfection. Everybody looks younger with a pinch of color on their cheeks...what are you waiting for! Packaged in the perfect size tube...a little goes along way.
Tips and tricks: Benefit's "powder pleasures" complement every sheer cream blusher: choose dallas, 10, hoola, dandelion, or georgia. Grab a Love Your Look silky-finish lipstick & creaseless cream shadow/liner to complete your super sexy look-you'll thank us later."
Finally, ending with a Bluff Dust.
"Product Description:
Tips and tricks: Lightly shake the container up and down with the lid closed; Open the container and tap your bluff puff brush lightly into the powder that has collected in the lid, and tap off any excess; beginning at the center of your face, dust lightly in an outward and downward motion, focusing on any areas where spot redness occurs."
Yes, once again, I'm going to say that it's much cheaper online than in retail. And I think I don't have any more excuse other than this overused and lame reasoning anymore. =/

masks no more
The mask I was sooo looking forward to receiving is Out Of Stock. Worse! It's being discontinued. =(
The only available ones are those from China now...knowing China products.... even the local supplier say better don't take from them.
So, I won't have any rice mask already....but heng! Earlier during lunch, Irene and I went to Sasa and we each got 2 packs of the "Silk Whita Mask" as there's one for one now.
Not so bad after all, but I would still rather have the rice masks. =(
This is really "pine for what you don't have and disregard what you have." Ok la. Since I have sooo many masks now, I'll just treat it as it's a sign for me to stop buying and just use what I have first.

Lana Look
This time, I need to ban myself from the Benefit Cosmetics Website like I did to myself on the F21 website. =( I'm sooo gonna be in trouble!
I took their online quiz and it says I'm a Benefit Lana.
The no make-up look. Yes, that much is true, I like to look as though I did not put on make up though a thick layer is sitting on my face. Women... spend so much to pile on things on the face then don't want people to know when it's so obvious, 1 glance can see it some more. I also don't understand myself... but anyway, Lana I am. Does "Sharon Lana Loh" sounds nice? whahahahahaha
I like their catchy phrase... "No make-up Look" =) and that's not the only thing that caught my eyes! I'm not talking about the products, the products ALL catch my eye.
There's this phrase on the website.... "Want to look slimmer?" (I think the answer will be a resounding "YES" from women all over, at least for me.)
.

"Walk side ways" was the reply.
I had a good giggle after that. So, yes I WANT to look slimmer, hence I shall practice my crabby walk from now onwards!

Can't stop shopping.
Opps! I did it again.
I went on a shopping spree again. Online.
Actually, I think I did the right thing by shopping online since the price of each item as compared to the local retail store is at least $10 SGD cheaper. And there's free international shipping for purchases above $100 USD at the moment.
Of course, I did not chalk up $100 USD all by myself. Irene had to put 2 of her items here so that I can enjoy the free shipping, she's combining with her friend and sis and it's already more than $100 USD.
3 items for myself.
Benetint. USD $28, SGD $65. Savings based on 1.5 exchange rate = SGD $23!
I've already tried it at Tangs the other day and I quite like it but the local price is wayyy overpriced!
From the official website... "It's the original and still the best rose-colored cheek and lip tint. Kiss-proof and water-proof, this indelibly sheer tint gives you an innocent, yet provocative glow that will keep everyone guessing "what has she been up to?""
Next up, Powder Pop. USD $30. , SGD $69. Savings based on 1.5 exchange rate = SGD $24!
highlighters or blushers. "Powder pop! explodes onto the scene with a flauntable, enviable collection of fabulously famous powders. This limited edition contains hoola, dandelion & dallas all in our artful, collectible little box! It's the most coveted gift of the season and is pure powder pleasure. Limited edition."
I don't really care for the Limited Edition portion, all I know is that I want something that does not give me the same pot of colours, this is good since it has neutral, daily, night shades!
Finally, Lemon Aid. USD $18. , SGD $41. Savings based on 1.5 exchange rate = SGD $14!
I do not use eyeshadow at all, even if I do, it's like only for those night functions and I have no idea how to blend and do eyeshadow. This will come in handy for my night outs or even when I go to work.
"It's a lazy day makeover for your eyes! Not a concealer, but a soft yellow correcting cream that helps redness and discoloration on eyelids disappear, giving you a younger, fresher, healthier appearance. Your eyes will look and feel so great you may ask yourself "do I even need eye makeup today?""
So, can you believe it, a total savings of SGD $61!!! Which I can buy some other items even after paying for the credit card charges, conversion!
And I'm contemplating and thinking hard about this item...
Brow Zings. USD $30, SGD $65. Savings based on 1.5 exchange rate = SGD $20!
"When brows are your wow, show them off by using the best kit available. The split pan contains shaded brow wax for shaping, filling-in and extending. The complementing powder is the overcoat, keeping them up and smooth all day. With accessory tweezers and brushes, this little set is a powerhouse for brows."
The only thing that is attracting me to this is the tweezers. Lame! I know. Can't help it coz my wonderful pair drop on the ground a couple of days ago and the tips are no longer even. I've been trying to find another similar pair.
Can you believe it? It's OUT Of STOCK! My gosh. And believe me, I've went to other stores looking for a simple pair of tweezers and NONE has it! -_-"
There's only 2 things that is stopping me from buying this product. And that is
1) I cannot decide on the color.
2) I'm not sure if I'll use it, coz I drew the perfect pair of brows this morning with my usual pencil. Which I've NEVER yet draw in all my days / weeks / months of using it. But it was perfect this morning when my mind was still on this Brow Zings. =/
Giving credits where credits are due, I got all the pictures and product description from the Benefit Cosmestics itself.

A day without shopping = A day wasted?
Came back to office yesterday after such a long break and my mind is still thinking of the Chrismissy things, the trinklets, the clothes, the shoes, the bags, the beauty products... the list is endless!
Even though I know I probably won't need half of those I listed, it still feels very shiok to just be in town to soak up the whole Christmas Atmoshpere!
For the working people like myself, where got so much chance to just soak it all up right? So thank God, there's online shopping. Serious!
My butt and body is here in office, I'm dreaming of a wonderland Christmas and shopping, so lucky thing, there is online shopping to help me!
I just placed another order... This time, it's an item I swear I must get! I've been looking and keeping a lookout on all the sprees just for this item but never spree for it! Finally, finally, I found a spreer who is spreeing it. Acutally, she spree it just because I asked for it, orginally, she's not spreeing it too.
And what is this "oh so difficult" to find item?
THIS!
Dainty Design Rice Mask!
Chey... nothing much right? WRONG! This little harmless looking mask is retailing at $4.30 or $4.50 each at the Sasa stores.
I'm buying this at just $2 each! So, tell me cheap or not? And trust me, NOT all spreers who organize DD mask will spree for this. I've checked with so many and none of them does, till this person came along. And not even in Taiwan is it that easily available. I know since my current supply of masks came from Taiwan, hand carried back to SG by a friend's friend!
Die die also cannot miss it then!
So, yups. 20 pieces in the mailbox. That makes me $40 poorer too. =(

Ha! I'm done!
Guess what?!
I've COMPLETED my Super Mario Brothers!
Killed the last boss of world 8 earlier!
Now I can finally catch some peaceful sleep. Especially the last few nights, my brain kept working OT just trying to figure out how to kill that final boss. It took me many lives and a sudden brainwave and ha! I killed him without suffering too much injuries to my Mario this time.
Yes, VERY happy now. Can finally catch some sleep and I completed the game.
I completed the game!
I completed the game!!!
Now, I'm gonna play Animal Crossings, though I find it a bit boring, I have the Cooking Mama, which I think the file is corrupted.... I may be tempted to buy Mario Kart.
I heard and read good reviews about this game.
But on the other hand, if I'm going to buy my games from the source, then why on earth I bought the r4 and memory card?!
Duh!

Random thoughts
While talking to Clement and Wiselyn yesterday, they asked me if I'm doing ok now. If I've recovered...
I also got a sms from my nice mgr who just came back from Japan few days before asking how I am.
I was thinking, many people have asked me if I've recovered. Recovered from what? The operation? The pain? The loss? What? I guess, most people will be meaning it from the point of the operation and the loss.
I guess, I have. The operation was over in a matter of minutes. The time waiting for the operation was killing. The decision to have to go for D&C was also killing. The knowledge that Lama had no heartbeat came as a shock and also in a way relief.
Finally we knew the reason of my continuous spotting and also an end to the worries that comes with the pregnancy.
What lingers on now was the brief moments that I knew I was pregnant. The operation with the needle to administer the GA.
The needle is damn painful and I only remembered warm liquid flowing in just before the operation. Other than that, I woke up feeling very sleepy and wanting to sleep some more.
The bill waiting to be paid is about the last of the whole episode.
Sometimes, when I see Clara or other babies now, there is a tinge of sadness and a feeling of 'what a waste'. Yet, at the same time, I also feel relief, relief that we are not having a Baby soon, because, the timing is so absolutely off for us.
In a way, I feel that, God in His wisdom have also "taken" back the child knowing that the timing is not suitable for us.
I thank God for giving us the gift of life, I also thank God for taking it back. Controversy? Yes. Ironic? That too.
For the moment, I'll just not think of anything else and just concentrate on my studies, life, work, marriage and health.
All will come.
According to Him.
In His time.

Meteting up
Met up with Clement, Wiselyn and my darling God-daughter yesterday late afternoon.
Went for coffee at TCC in Millenia Walk. The branch there is rather spacious and best of all, no crowd at all. We almost had the whole place to ourselves!
The little darling has grown so much. Now, she seems to be able to understand and can respond when we coo and talk to her. I was carrying her, talking to her and she in response, will make funny noises as though she's talking back to me! SO adorable!!!
Maybe, the study that hubby read was right. Infant Girls likes to look at faces and being talked to, while infant boys prefer to look at things? That explains why in later life, Girls are so much more talkative perhaps? But she's really such a sweetie pie and the parents dressed her in a pink romper with red and black leggings, complete with a purple jacket! SOOO cute and pretty. I wanna steal her away!
And she's so well behaved too. After her feed, she went to lala land, leaving the parents and I to chat. We adults don't drink so much milk, so we had food, light snacks. We had the something blue patter and potato wedges.
The wedges are good! Soft and crispy with not that much salt. Complete with cheese dips too. I like the sotong from the Blue platter, the rest are mostly fried things, so not much difference.
I ordered an Irish Coffee for the "perk me up" for the afternoon.
Irish Coffee with shots of whiskey! It's da bomb! Very nice. And the whiskey can really be tasted through the coffee as it sits on the tongue waiting to be slid down my throat. Rather expensive but very shiok! =)
We were there for a good 5 hours and it's a good thing that the store is not crowded!
Clara woke up at about 7pm for her feed and then while she's busy eating, the daddy and I went to queue for "Muncy's Doughnuts"
The box says "One is not enough!" I thought it was just a marketing gimmick and a slogan. Hubby came home after his night class and together, we devoured 5! So yar, one is really not enough!
Maybe we were hungry since we both did not eat dinner, but 5?!
I'm so gonna be growing sideways now. =(
Looks chocolaty and delicious, that explains 5. =(
It felt good to get out of the house and to catch up with friends. Looking at Clara, I do feel the sense of joy and pride and responsibilities that comes with being a parent.
She's the apple of the parents' eyes now and no matter what decision, what actions, all are done with her best intentions in mind. Not easy to be a parent yet, there's so much joys that comes associated with it.
Kudos to you all, Daddies and Mommies!
