Since the confirmation, no, should say before the confirmation of my course in Uni SIM, hubby thought it will be a good idea for me to own a MP3 with voice recording function so that I can record parts of the lecture and also the MP3 will keep me entertained on the to and fro to Uni SIM. So sweet hor?
So, he’s been searching. Searching for such a gadget within budget. He recommended me the Creative Zen Neeon with a 6GB (4 colors available and I thought the “PINK” back plate looks pretty from the online store) memory which has a one touch voice recording + FM radio function which is at an affordable $150. I’m not a MP3 person, prefer the radio somehow... haha… I don’t really mind it but I do feel that the memory is abit low as compared to Apple iPod with an impressive 20GB memory leh. But then again, I think 6GB should be enough for me.
Today, being Saturday, after washing our clothes and then we hit the town. More specifically, we want to go to the Creative store @ Marina Square to take a look at the actual product. And, I was soooo disappointed when I saw the actual product, the “PINK” one does not look nice at all! Think I'll settle for either the black or the silver.
The Zen Neeon 2, Pink looks good though (as compared) but being practical, Neoon 2 has 2GB and it costs about $240 while the Neoon is 6GB at $150! I made up my mind, I’ll get the Neeon even though I prefer the Neoon 2, coz it’s not practical and logical to spend like $90 more for a lower memory but to look nice right?! See? I’m such a good wife to hubby, don’t want to waste his hard earned money unnecessary also.
BUT! Neeon is OUT OF stock lor. So, though we tried to get it, we din manage to get anything. =/ Another time then, hopefully the stock will come in then we can get that. Actually hor…. Hubby needs the recording thingy soon so he is soon bian get it for me lor.. haha… But nvm lar, at least he thought of me, that I will need it just that the gadget serves him first then serve me lor. Hahahaha…
I saw Sony shop and I went in to peep @ the T10. Wah!! I love it!! It’s so pinky and nice and sweet and dainty and takes such good, crisp, clear photos!! But, it’s also at an outrageous price of $599!!! I won’t pay for it. Too expensive just for looking pretty. Was also looking at labtops since I’m pretty sure that during my course next year, I will be needing it. Since we can’t find anything in Marina, we made our way to Funan IT mall to take a look at the labbys and also camera coz I remember that the shop John 3:16 is a popular and highly recommended place to get cameras.
The moment we stepped in, we realized that there was a HP fair. Looked around and not too bad, the price is not that damaging to my wallet purse. I’ve no idea to the specifications that the sales person was rattling off to my question. I just nod and smile and pretend to understand. Luckily hubby was with me, I think he make a better audience than me. He was able to catch the terms and specifications, the sales person also recommended Compact, Acer, HP some brand Lenova? So in the end, I think I will get a HP. But not sure which model yet, let me look and compare around some more ya? Will need to ask the experts on this soon before making my FINAL decision. And I shall get my sister to help me buy at student rate since it is cheaper.
So with a new labby, we must also have a PC desk/table lor. Off to V.hive we trooped. Did manage to find a few not too bad tables but still early to buy, hence, once again, we shall wait till we know exactly what and where we want to place the tables.
We also went into John 3:16 and really! The sales people there are ultra friendly. We went in and asked about THE T10 and they immediately say, that’s not a good camera, and he won’t recommend people to buy it.
I asked him for another recommendation, and immediately he says “Cannon” hmmm… But I’m already using a cannon, the powershot A80. Yups, it’s a super old model, it’s still working well I guess.
Just that I find it heavy and cumbersome to carry around. But my sis has given me her Sony Cybershot lor, so really no point in spending on another camera right?
Yet, on the other hand, the Ixus 6 is so nice also. Nice and slim and light but not in Pink lor.
And to be honest, I think it’s not expensive, we were quoted $460 for the 2 different models. Not too bad hor? So tempted to get it, but hubby stopped me. He says should not buy things rashly. Well, he has a point also.
Especially now, I got to spend like $2K on a labby and another couple of hundreds (estimated to be $300) on the table, it’s better to not buy the camera hor? But I really do like it leh!!
Mom is gng to China for a holiday and she wanna take the cybershot with her, think that’s why I’m so keen to get another camera of course plus the heaviness and cumbersome-ness of the A80, really keen to change camera.
*sigh* money money…
Aiyah, to take our minds off the money that’s gng to flow out soon, we decided to just chill out with some coffee.
Went to TCC and sat there just sipping coffee and doing nothing. Was thinking that we can organize a gathering in TCC the next time as it’s in town, so more centralize for all the people but the drawback is that the TCC closes at 10pm, even on a Saturday night. So the timing is out, but there isn’t much crowd and to be honest, also getting abit sick of Dome all the time lor. Should have somewhere new once a while. =)
On a different note, I think the mornings of yoga is doing me and hubby good. (or is it the coffee?? Hmmm…) Even though we woke up at 6am this morning for yoga in Macritiche with Carol, till now, we are still quite wide awake, but must admit that we took a short nap this afternoon. I realized that the yoga is making me feel fresher throughout the day and hor, I realized now I can’t seem to stomach as much food as before.
We had a sinful dinner at Carl’s Junior, though we polished off all the food (we shared the Famous Star combo and an additional mushroom burger, which tasted like the mushroom swiss from BK), we are both so full that we felt like bursting. But it was a good dinner. We both enjoy it even though it probably wasted all our yoga efforts for the last few days, maybe even weeks!
If it was a few months ago, probably at the time or when we were at TCC, we would have ordered some additional snacks or so. I was tempted to but we din leh. Still felt that our food was being digested and at such a late hour, really not advisable to eat too much.
Since we were just sitting there and not doing much, we just got hold of some of the magazines and started flipping through when the table top poster caught my eye.
Check this out….
And would you want a cuppa of their Halloween Special?!
“Bloodied fangs and slimy worms,
blended in an unfortunate mix.
Taste horror in every sip...
but beware of who knocks
on your door this Halloween!”
Yucks!!!
Do you wanna put something that looks so horrible into your mouth?! Eeeks!!
But I think this "Halloween" thingy is catching up in SG. Pass by some restaurants in Marina Sqand they also have the "Halloween" menu.. Think is the same kind of food, they probably just disguise it into some skull shape or something ba.
Think the yoga is really helping. I just read the article in TCC saying that the person after doing yoga began to “listen” to his body and somehow he turned away from those sinful food. (This will be good for me, I LOVE sinful food!) I’m not at the stage where I will turn away from sinful food yet, but I think I will reach there someday lor. Hopefully, it will be soon. Hahaha..
Ok lar, better hit the bed, still have to wake up for yoga and morning mass later. But before that, I wish for a HP labby, a PC table, the Cannon Ixus. If I wished hard enough, maybe I can get it when I wake up?
Hahahaha…

Such an Idiotic move lor!!
Let me ask you, dear readers of mine. (Doesn’t matter if there’s only a pathetic few readers that I can finish counting with just 1 hand. I just want some feedback.)
If you just came back to SG after a short holiday and in urgent need to check your email. What will you do? Where will you go?
Or put it this way, if there is such urgency for you to check your mail, would you then ask your sibling to return the car 3 hours later? And then go to the sibling’s house to check emails? Especially when the sibling does not subscribe to internet connection and is tapping on others? When the mentioned said person has a good broadband connection at home waiting for him to use? And also go for dinner some more after getting the car, take an hour long rest at the sibling’s place watching TV?
I think for most people who really has such urgency to check mails/stocks etc will go home or at least to an internet café to do whatever is necessary right?
Well, “CONGRATULATE” me people, I happen to have an OBIL who happens to do just that! Went on a cruise with his GF and reached SG maybe around 2pm. Hubby wanted to return the car to him but he very gallantly let hubby take the car till he is off from work so that hubby does not have to take public transport home. Then, OBIL and his GF wanted to come to our house – to just visit and take a seat and TO CHECK EMAIL!
Damn it!!!
We DON’T have internet connection and we ARE tapping others! Since day 1, he is already aware, so why come?!! And this is not the first time that he wants to come “To check email” lor. I simply don’t understand it, he HAS connection at home, he has the car, he has almost everything that he wants and need. SO WHY DOES HE KEEP LOOKING FOR REASONS/EXCUSES TO COME TO OUR HOUSE?!?!?
Hubby insists that I am just against him, prejudiced against him. Maybe I am. But I don’t think I am. I simply don’t understand why he is doing all these unnecessary things and saying unnecessary things.
I wished hubby had turned him down. Not that OBIL and family cannot even come to our house. But I don’t want to give him the impression that our house is open to his coming and going. By letting him come so easily, it’s like we are very chin chai and ‘welcome him and GF’ to come anytime. I know, they are family and that I should not be so particular when he come or go but I SIMPLY just don’t want to open our house as and when he asked. We will choose WHEN to open our house for visits! Damn it!!!
I admit my opinion of him change ever since I know he broke up with YL and got to know of this current GF. Of course, I know that when it comes to matters of the heart, there is nothing for sure and that even though a couple may have been dating for a long time, there is no guarantee that they will get married. This, I understand and also respect. But what I simply loath about OBIL was the way he treated her! He made her attend our wedding even though they have broken up. Argg!!! This, I will never forget! If not for his actions and words, I would still have some respect for him as an OBIL and also will not be so weary of a tiny action nor a single word that comes from him.
I have not forgotten his words to PIL that we never invite them to our place. So is this the reason that he keeps coming? What about his prior insistence that he rent a room from us in our current empty house?
I have no wish to share my nest with anyone for the time being, much less him! To be honest, I have NO WISH to share our nest with any of the 2 BILs!!!
See lar, I wanted to blog about my interview with the Uni SIM HOD but this OBIL of mine made me so mad that it completely slipped my mind!
Argg!!!!
To cut the whole story short, my interview was at 10.05am at the Admin Office in Uni SIM. Well, the appointment letter did not specify which block, hence I went to the same place that I went when I submitted my application. But it turned out to be the wrong place. Asked around and it finally lead me to Blk 82, which is like further down the road. And gosh, the admin office is so run down!!! *Bleh*
Filled in a survey and so embarrassed when I realized I cannot spell the word “recognize” or more like “recognition” too used to having spell check and also auto correct, even when I pick up a pen, I realized I cannot spell lots of the words anymore. *sigh*
Anyway, the interviewer is the same guy who spoke during the Open House a few weeks ago. I already had a feeling that it’s gonna be him anyway.
He merely asked me 2 main questions. First, why did I choose Uni SIM? Second, why did I choose BSc in Business with Communications. I think I must have done ok. He was not impressed with my answer coz I picked ‘distance’ as the main reason for answering both of his questions. But however, I think today’s interview is merely a formality that the part time students (like me) have to go through. Coz, immediately after answering the questions, the interviewer passed me the acceptance letter. -_-“ and his words “I believe I have something for you, it’s the acceptance letter, all the instructions are inside”
Heh!! So much for “interview being part of the selection process”. I believe, most of the interviewees are already selected candidates! We are told to go down so that the HOD can warn us of the time commitment and stress level that we are to expect and also to hand us the letter.
I think it’s part of the “cut costs, cut waste” project that SIM is adopting from some staff SSS (staff suggestion scheme!). Chey!! Scared me leh. And I was kind worried about this interview since yesterday.
*CHEY*

It's time already?!
This morning, I got a scare from my less-than-a-year-old-handphone.
The motorola V3i decided to play a prank on me and I got this...
"Invalid Battery"!?
Huh?!
What on earth?! "invalid battery" indeed! Immediately I tried to switch off and then on, and no luck, the error message is still displayed.
Hubby was offering suggestions/solutions as to if I had fully charged my battery and if it's loose etc etc. Erm... How on earth would I know if the battery is loose right? Charged? Of course not, there's 2 bars left.
What to do but to take out the back casing (which is a darn hard thing to do, you'll get what I mean if u own a V3), take out battery and hopefully it will resolve itself. Hubby was offering suggestions/solutions as to if I had fully charged my battery and if it's loose etc etc.
Anyway, the V3i worked fine after me removing it's back cover, took out battery, shook it abit, blow it abit and then it's fine from morning till now la.
And, the battery went dead on me, so yes, I've just recharged it, using the USB cable.
And! On a completely separate note, I've just got to meet this guy student of ours, who is from the Chem and Life Science school. Actually got to know him yesterday. What's so special about him that I wanna dedicate at least half of my entry on him right?
Well, he's not really that good looking, but he has the kind of build that I simply can't take my eyes off him. He speaks like an ABC (but he's a Malaysian ok, I'm impressed!) I thought he came from some atas boys' sec sch locally from his speech, but goodness, he speaks such fluent and good english for a Malaysian, I'm bowed over!
And he is soooo gentlemanly! Ok, fine! My guy students will open doors for me, wait for me to pass thru etc, but this guy, he's different, he does it with a sort of 'air' about him that makes him very different from the rest of the other students even when they are doing the same thing. The rest look like a bunch of kids being polite, while the same action coming from him makes him excludes an air of perfect gentleman, THE suave gentleman.
He's also a jovial guy, and boy does he have a gift of the gap! Simple sms can make me actually smile to myself and think of him more. The best part was that I commented that he actually master the art of "Killer Looks" (I was surprised that he acutally gave this look to the visiting students, my other student leaders just look on helplessly on most occassions) and thus was joking with him that he has mastered it quite well and then just went on saying that when these visiting students irriated me too much, I give them the same look. And he went, "can't imagine you doing that, you'll look too nice and good..." Wah! Melts my heart leh! I forwarded the sms to hubby and hubby replied me with, 'Hahaha they have not kena yet only ah. I dun think they will say that if they kena lor.' -_-" FYI, darling, it's HIM only, not they! hump!
So see?! Gift of the Gap right?! And while waiting for the students, I handed him 2 paperbagfuls of files to carry and then it started to pour this afternoon, I pulled him to stand right in front of me and some others to block the rain (coz he's so tall!) saying, big size ppl can help to block rain and he stood there for the whole time till we walked away! woah.. Then after distributing the files, there were some left overs and I was holding on to it and he immediately offered help to carry it. woah woah... really very impressed with his EQ. Of course, there are also students of mine who does the same, but the way they do it compared to him is very different.
My students joked and sms me sometimes, but yet the same action seems so different. Never has a student manage to make me wish that I was years younger and send some tiny butterflies fluttering in my stomach leh. haha
Got the 'crush' feeling come back leh.. how?! hahaha.. I feel like a teenager now. haha..
But don't worry ok, darling, I adult now, not a teen, so won't 'crush' so easily anymore.

First day of work
After the rather long break, it's back to the office today.
The first thing that greeted me was the visit by a Sec school early in the morning at 9am and then followed by some chaos of some student leaders missing and don't know what's happening. Followed by the venue that I booked is being taken over by some other people which lead us to hunt for another venue last minute and Thank God, there WAS a venue that was available for 1 hour just that morning. *Phew*
Finally after a grueling 2 hours, the kiddies left and finally I can rest and relax and prepare for the next visit which is tomorrow afternoon, right smack during LUNCHTIME! argg!!
But, all is not lost, I have a standing lunch date with Emma and Uncle Jeffrey! They are both on super long leave leh! From Monday till today, only work 1 day this week for Emma and Uncle Jeff doesn't even need to head for office till next week! wah!! Anyway, we went for a good lunch at Botak Jones. It's my first time there. And hor, I am ashamed to say that I never knew of their existance till I saw them on TV and the best part is, their AMK store is like 2 blocks away from where my PIL's are staying.. *sheesh*
I had their Botak cheese burger! woah... comparable to those served at hard rock leh. Nice. But I feel tat the beef patty is a tad too drying and the portion is huge. I cannot finishe my burger, fries and also salad. The cajun chicken looks and tasted yummy too, Emma gave me some to try.
I like the food, will go back again one day. The prices are very reasonable, 3 of us with a cheese sandwich, cajun chicken and Botak cheese burger only did a $18.50 damage to the wallets. Very affordable isn't it?! And it was such a filling meal!
After such a good lunch, I din even have to eat anything for the entire day before I head for kickboz. Totally forgot that it's the last week of the month and there's the reknown "15 rounds' to be done, which if I remember, I will try to siam. But then again, even if I do remember, after that heavy cheesy beef burger, I think I will still go la.
The workout was quite the same, just that we were not given rest time, we continued throughout the whole 1.5 hours. Of course, we can rest and we do at our own pace so not so bad lar. I was not as tired out as I sometimes will be after '15 rounds' cld be coz I was also feeling pretty tired, coz it's that time of the month, so din exert too much strength.
Really wanted to have a healthy after workout snack and I've already decided that I will just be eating fruits for dinner. But *sigh* blame it on tempatations and me, myself. I saw some cookies that our neighbour gave us, think they are muslim indians, so they baked cookies and things, gave us a box, and also MIL bought us 2 pao, so shared that with hubby. They had the car these few days and they went on a SG cruise coz OBIL is outta of town together with hubby coz he went back for dinner while I go kick box. I heard hubby said they went to see the Deepavali and Hari Raya Lights. And on the way, passed by some famous pao shop and MIL bought us 1 each.
Then, there goes my healthy meal after work out lor.. *sigh*
Well, time to go to lala land. Still need to wake up early tomorrow to do my yoga before gng to work. Nighty nite!

something to look forward to... or not?
Yay!!!
The week long engineering week is finally over! Today is the last day! Hooray!!! Would have opened a bottle of red to celebrate if not for my darn croaky voice now.
Then, the long weekend has just began for me too! Taking Monday off in lieu of Saturday Public Holiday. So I'll have 4 days of not being in the office! Yay!!!
And we have such a healthy and fun day lined up just for tomorrow. Early yoga in the greens of the Macritiche with Towkay, his wifey, Carol and of course hubby and me! Follow by a heart healthy breakfast made by Alex.. I think it should tastes great!
And we are meeting up with a few of the SW gang for dinner at Dome tomorrow evening too. This will definately be a fun and laughter filled nite!
I'm looking forward to tomorrow and the next few days where we don't have to work at all!
The only thing I'm not so looking forward is that *sigh* I have to go to SIM for the entry interview for the course I'm applying for on Friday morning.
I think best I don't go and think first. If not, cannot enjoy my long leave, sorry! Not leave, long break!
Yay!
It's the long weekend approaching. I can already smell it from where I am. My weekend officially starts the moment I finished typing this.
Best of all, the Engineering Week is already over, the Discovery Week is soon to be over and only left with 2 mre visits for next week and then can almost close shop till the mad house preparation starts.

Chio!
In the last few months, there are lots of my colleagues giving birth, I cannot even remember how many baby showers I have contriubuted to!
The thing is, or rather the practise is the colleagues will receive the BB shower and then wait till their BB is a full month before giving us a cake voucher (usually from Begawan Solo) So by the time, I get the voucher, most of the time I would have already forgotton about it lor..
And it is the same for my latest colleague who gave birth late last month.
I got the voucher thru the internal mail system today and I know it is begawan solo judging form the envelope. But what surprised me was this!
TA DA!!!
Darn cute hor the BB? This is really the 1st voucher I've received that I know the parents spend time and effort into this simple "thank you" voucher! So cute and so loveable! I think I will treasure this little picture for a long long time.
Where shall I display this picture?? At home or in office??! How???!
And yesterday's, we got an email asking for support to buy don't-know-what thing for charity at $2 la. To me is, sure is 1 of those useless thing and for $2, ok lar, go ahead and buy it, then the office ppl will stop hounding me, "Why no support?" etc. Our names are recorded weather we buy or din buy you see, so I thought might as well maintain my name in the "good book" go ahead and buy.
I seriously have no idea what my $2 will get me. But I paid up, nevertheless with the thought that, whatever useless thing it is, at least it's only $2 lorr... don't be such a miser and keep harping on it.
Well! Guess what? This $2 din get me something useless leh. It got me something that I AM keeping a lookout for, but for it's uses and the kinda price that these "kill people, set fire" (杀人放火)shops are selling, I won't pay for it lor. Ok la, maybe it's I miser after all la.
So what is this useful $2 charity thing I got?
This!
Chey! You may say. But I was in need of one ma. Since I need one then it's useful to me already lor.
That black piece of thing Hp cleaner at the corner came with my HP when I got it, but the string broke and I cannot attached it to my HP. So being a V3i, my hp has lots of fingerprints, greese, dirt, oil and goodness-know-what most of the time ever since the string broke hence began my search for a new piece.
Like I say, either I hiam or I miser lor, I refused to pay the price the shops are selling, so I loon till today till I got this new piece thru charity.
Oh.. I'm a Happy Person now.
I realised, must be happy and thankful for small things lar. I could have spend $7 on a useless piece of thing like this and yet I only spent $2! Somemore! Can do charity!
Good!!
Happy and GENEROUS person is my nature leh!

Blah!
The year is coming to an end and with it's ending, it brings about lots of work!
There must be something about the year end that I'm so busy. I'm so busy with the soon-to-be-starting Engineering Week activities. The grand opening is today in SP in the morning and tomorrow is the full blast of the activities.
I've been running around the whole day in my heels, yes, I could have worn flats but I went to the darn opening ceremony, my principal was there, the deputy principals where there and ALL my immediate directors were there too. Cannot be wearing ugly flats right?! So, was in heels and walked round campus a few times today.
Tomorrow is the darn start of the programmes and I have a grand total of 285 students just in the morning. *sigh*
And for the next 3 days, there are morning and afternoon programmes not to mention that I have 2 more visits next week, which reminds me to hunt for the staff to chase for student leaders to lead the visit. Then another week long of Discovery programmes.
And the most most dampening news for today must be this, duty list for OH07 is out. And we are doing the same thing again!!! Hump!!
Why can't we have a job rotation and change this to someone else? This is really really tough to handle!!
So, what's so happy about year end, tell me?
Also, not to forget those blessed haze from Indonesia just makes life sooooo much even better now lor!

New name.
I mentioned I was in a skit a few days ago? And I was supposed to wear a crown and a sash right? Well, my role there was this person called "Miss ISO".
Well, it's either I can act too well or people find my name difficult to pronouce and remember. Overnight, I have lost my name. I was trying to call a staff yesterday to clarify some matter and what did I get?
me: Hello XXX, I'm Sharon. Sharon from engg.
XXX: huh? Sharon? Sharon who?
me: erm... Sharon from Level 5?
XXX: Oh! ISO!!!
>.<"
Gosh!!! This staff worked with me before! We meet each other pretty often as we are both at Level 5! We chatted before too you know!!! And he...
Argg!!!
I'm not so sure if I should be feeling happy or sad about my new found name at the moment. Give me a few more days to see if I will get used to people, staff, colleagues calling me by ISO, ya?!
Well, on the brighter side of things, Ah Teck gave me a huge packet of Green Tea.
It's not that kind that is pre packed. It's loose tea leaves. That you can add more or lesser according to your tastes buds.
I haven't tried it yet, but he said it is of a superior quality.
And he gave it to me coz
1) I drink green tea
2) He claims he has too much tea at home
So since he give me, I take and shall not ask too many questions about it anymore.
tata... time to go home.
Hopefully, people will stop calling me ISO next week!!

Congratulate me, people!
I'm in the running for IDOL of the year leh, together with 5 others la. Been busy practising for a skit (performance is tomorrow afternoon) for the last few days and this will determine who will win lor.
I have a sash that says "Miss ***" and wears a crown. My other competitors, well, no fight la, definately, I'll be the winner! hahaha.. But the lousy script hor says 'We are ALL winners!' *Darn* How can all win at the same time?! Then how do I get to be the IDOL of the year, IDOL of my company??!!
Anyway, my number is "1". SO VOTE FOR ME lar!!
Will try to post a picture of gorgeous looking me wearing the DIY (I made it with hubby last night in 30mins time ok!!) sash and the oh-so-ugly-looking-crown! Hm... on hindsight, better not post the pic.
Cannot ruin my 美美形相!

Belated Mid-Autumn
Did not have a chance to celebrate Mid-Autumn on the actual day yesterday. Well, we kind of did, just without seeing much of the moon kinda celebration.
But today is different! We or rather myself, Godma and Bro all made plans to celebrate Mid-Autumn together @ our friendly, pretty neighbourhood park which is just stone's throw from our home, it's more like a gathering rather than celebration. Lots of food, lots of laughter, chit chat, fun and yes, LOTS and LOTS of haze!!!
Coz Godma had to go for sunset mass, Bro's family and us went down to the park at about 6pm. Need to choop a good seat, we thought but when we went down, we are one of those few few people who are in the park. I think they are all scared of the haze. And I think they are right to be scared of it lor. Just look at it!!! My goodness.
We can hardly look clearly across the buildings for the haze. And the sky... looks like a dirty sheet of paper.
Really wondering what those Indonesians are doing to the earth and seriously, can't their government do something? It's affecting us every single year!
Opps.. think I digress too much. It's on Mid-Autumn that I was talking. Anyway, Bro and us split up to buy food. We had hokkein noodles, fried carrot cakes, sam lou hor fun, fried rice, sushi, watermelon, polemelo, chinese tea and of course Mooncakes from Tung Lok.
We had so much fun just stitting there, talking, eating and laughing, it's good to know each other and have fun like this. Come to think of it, think this is already the 3rd year running that we celebrating together.
The children ran wild at the park, they had so much fun eating, candles, sparkles, lanterns and playing at the playground while the lazy bums like us, sat there as though rooted to the stone seats.
It was a good nite only marred by the darn haze! And we were the earliest there and latest to go off from the park as well.

Busy also must enjoyz...
No matter how busy we are or rather I am, still must take some time to enjoy myself with family and friends.
So after working my ass off for the whole day, what did we do? Went for a birthday dinner with family in law to celebrate FIL's birthday. Also so concidiental lor, go for a dinner on Mid-Autumn festival. Also good lar, tonite go already then tomorrow, we are free to celebrate with Godma and Brother.
Food was good at the restaurant, not sure of the name of the restaurant, but it's near the YCK swimming pool. MIL used to work there so she has some sort of preferred treatment lor. *hiak*hiak*
Dinner was quite ok, pretty quiet, nothing much to be said since I din want to offend anyone. Just kept quiet and ate my food. After dinner, that's where the partying starts lor. haha I really din want to take OBIL's car.. but FIL insisted, cannot reject him too much, so no choice took a lift from him to J8. OBIL was rushing to go out lor.. but still he drove us to J8, for that I got to thank him la.
Meeting the wise one and her hb at Bishan but we did not state the time, and it was so concidiental that we really bump into each other at the level 2 atrium. Nothing to buy, so sian then we went into Shibuya and happy already lor. Each of us got something! =)
Next stop? Food, of course! And to our soon-to-be-favourite cafe of the SW gang, Oilo Dome we come! Ordered a snack and drinks and we yakked the night away.
Din reach home till after 1am.. faint!! Lucky, we stay near enough to Oilo.. if not have to take cab home!
Oh! Did I say, it's FIL's, Emilyn's and Karen's Birthday today?!
Happy Hatch Day to you all!

sooooo sooooo sooo busy!
Wah!
From the moment I stepped into office on Tuesday till now, everyday is like a war zone! So many things to clear, to do and to follow up.
If I say, I'm tired, it's an understatement leh. My eyes are becoming watery (no, not coz of contact lens, I haven't been wearing them for the last 3 days! Today then I wore it in the whole of this week!) It's coz I've been staring sooo bloody hard and soo darn long at my computer screen!
Then all the clearing of backlog, before I even manage to clear like 10%, another 20% came in. How to finish like that?
*Sigh*
My eyes are watering, my fingers are numb (from the typing on keyboard), my arms are aching, my back is sore, my head feels heavy and my throat is dry. Not coz there is no drinking water but I exert my voice too much today.
Screaming at a bunch of kiddies, well not really kiddies, but secondary level kids, then also the rehearsal which the mike decided to like die out on me and my voice is not carried across.
I feel like lying here and not move anything anymore... Gosh.. Did I also mention there is a dinner with PIL tonite again? This time to celebrate his bday which is tomorrow?! Today is also mid autumn leh and instead of going out somewhere where hubby and me can look at moon + stars + to feed mosquitoes, I'm feeling tired and want to hide out or rather hide IN!!
How?!

Some time to spare...
Finally, have sometime to spare and here I am blogging away again.
These few days have been like a war zone here, everyday there's soooo many mails to clear, registrations, phone calls, updates and even rehearsals amongst other goodness knows what else. Also I was also busy trying to get the pictures uploaded into blogger but coz my pics are so darn huge, you guessed it lor, cannot upload. So was also busy trying ways and means to upload it and would you believe it? It took me like a week to get it done. But thank God for a very clever hubby, he taught me a simpler method.
*yeh*
Took some time off for myself and came up with this, a summary of the shopping that we had done in Phuket last week.
Considering that I am not called "shopping queen" for nothing, I'm quite amazed that we did not buy more than this! But then again, it could be coz my pockets are very empty during this time hence not much $ to spurge and to help boast Thailand's econmy at the moment.
We din even manage to fill up the empty canvas bag that I had stuff into our lagguage leh. That bag was just filled with snacks which are meant to be distributed to our family and also some last min things that we found from the hotel room and decided to just throw it in.
Nothing much else to update except that for the past 2 days in-a-row, I'm working till like 7pm?! Gosh!! I thought only during mad house I have to work such hours, I din expect NOW to start this kinda timing. =S

Monday, October 2
Holiday is over, back to work soon.
It’s time to work my ass off now that we are back from Phuket. And I am NOT joking by ‘work my ass’ off.
Just this week, there will be a visit on Friday. I still have to train the student leaders, well not really train just need to brief them on what they need to do for the visit, where to go, how to go, what to say and what not to say too. Then there are rehearsals on an almost daily basis for like half a day?! (not sure if it’s gonna be morning or afternoon yet, no email access for the moment.) Gosh!! That IS gonna take up sooooo much of my precious time! Think I won’t be able to knock off on time punctually for the next few days already till the blessed Excel Day is over on the 11 Oct.
Going holiday is great fun, but to come back and clear the backlog and to catch up with the existing work then it’s really really no fun.
Plus, there’s soooo much washing to do after we come back…. Our clothes that we wore there and also the bed sheets and sofa covers need to be cleaned too… So the weekend and even today was taken up with lots of washing… just the 2 of us go on a holiday, we had to load the machine 3 times! First time was just our clothing. Second was the fitted sheet and then the sofa covers. Third time was the rest of the bed things... Gosh…And coz we don’t have enough bamboo poles, we had no choice but to wash it like on 3 separate days also…Saturday, Sunday and ALSO today. (Which thank God, I am on leave, so I can still do it, if not, how to do it?!)
Hubby went back to work today already. But I guess, I’m not willing to go back and face the war zone as yet hence put off putting going back to work. I know cannot hide forever but I guess since I need to face it sooner or later, I might as well face it later lor. Haha!!
Well, today is gonna be a relaxing day for me I hope… finished the washing already, needs some clearing to be done for the table then I think I can really have the full day off and just laze. I think I am becoming a more and more homely person leh... haha.. I rather spend the time lazing at home than go anywhere or do anything.. Or maybe… I am just being plain lazy?
Well, I did think of doing something, like baking some cookies for hubby, I know he likes the peanut cookies but I don’t have the ingredients at home. Need to go and buy.. then also I lost that recipe. Now also no internet access so cannot go online and search.. so aiyah… forget it lar.. Also, the chocolate cake is still in the fridge too heaty if I make cookies… The cookies shall wait then.
Maybe if later my mood is good, I shall go n get that little blue chair fm the shops for hubby as a surprise since I threw his away… see how later.
And while I am still lazing at home. I have already cooked rice for my lunch today. Easy as ABC, coz just cooked rice and then add in the Japanese dishes for the taste and that’s a meal. Fast, cheap and rather healthy lor. Haha..

Holidaying in Phuket. =)
It’s been a nice and relaxing holiday in Phuket. The coup is like non-existent there. Holiday makers(mostly Ang Mo’s, very few Asians, even if there are, mostly are Japanese and Koreans, kinda feel we are the few Singaporeans) are roaming the streets. Locals are peddling their wares on the beaches, streets… everywhere to be exact. Don’t feel the existence of the coup at all.
It’s such a peaceful and enjoyable few days! (Minus the early hours, the packing, unpacking and also cleaning!)
To summaries our days there, we left for the Airport from Singapore bright and early at 5.40am on Wednesday (27 Sep), which is also our first day in Phuket. Then we went on a than-half-day-tour in Phuket Town, went to our hotel to check in and we went to the FantaSea in the evening.
Thursday (28 Sep), second day.
We had a full body massage and foot massage in the afternoon. Spent our day swimming in the pool, roaming the streets.
Friday (29 Sep), third day.
Went to Phuket Town, this time to the shopping centre. =) Went to the beach to catch some waves in the sea. This is the first time, we went into the waters in our days here! Nightfall, pack our bags and get ready to go home the next day leh. =(
Saturday (30 Sep), fourth day.
Home Sweet Home! Another bright and early day to catch the 8am flight home. Transfers came to pick us at 6am from the hotel lobby. By the time, we reach home, it was already noon. Then it’s an endless unpacking, cleaning and clearing.
We were dead beat after all these things and took a nap. By the time, we both woke up, it was already 7.30pm. Too late and too tiring for us to head to CTK for the grains.
Went for a late dinner and again, we headed back home to rest and to recover from the housework and to settle back down to SG life.. haha..
It's been a great holiday. Really feel refreshed and relax. Think, I want to go back again. haha

Going international!
I like it very much when my colleagues go overseas and come back! =) Coz it usually means some kind of freebies and snacks and don't know what else for moi.
This time, it is my dear office mate, Ah Teck who has gone out of SG and he back with a pack of snacks for me. It's just a pack of snacks lor, you may say, need to get so excited ar? But the thing is, it's the gesture that I appreciate lor, he don't have to get it for me leh.
Somemore, I asked him to help me get 2 tins of tea leaves and some skin cream that I think is good. So all in, he also lugged somethings back for me mar. Ask him to buy things already pai sey already he still got something else additional leh. So nice of him.
All in, I asked him to help me buy 2 tins of tea leaves, some cream and all these already costs $65 SGD. The tea leaves better be good ok!? Expensive leh! You know from where? CHINA lor. $65 SGD for 2 tins of tea leaves and 6 packs of cream better be good man... And I got a pack of walnuts. Oh yes, speaking of this, he let me choose first. The first thing that I came in this morning, he let me pick which want I want leh. Then he distributed the rest to the others.
So, being his office mate does have it's merits after all. =)
Hee... The walnuts are nice lor. I ate some already... I love snacks so it suits me. Will be bringing the rest home so can share with hubby later.
Oh yes!!
We are leaving for Phuket for 4D3N tml, so there won't be any updates. And you know what is the best best best part besides leaving SG to go on holiday tml? It is being able to leave office early too!!
haha... so happy...
Coz. I'm making a trip to Uni SIM to hand in my documents. Directors and PCEO has approved and since I have no time to go down before the closing date, I'm going later lor..
YahoO!! On company's time and on official biz and can go early. Better go and finished up the rest of my work before anything else then..
All righty, till we come back from Phuket.
Ciao~

To make up for it.
It's a known fact that I've been doing alot of self indulging these days..especially when it comes to food. hmm.. not "these days" but more like over the weekend.
So to make up for those amount of food that I've been staffing myself full to the brim with, I decided to go light today with just a sandwich and a very healthy fruit juice!
After all, too much and good food will make me sick too, so better eat bread and just juice. =)
I ate the cookies that we baked yesterday for breakfast but I guess it's not very filling lor, by 1130 hrs, my stomach went growling. But I was sooo busy with work and also maybe msn, I put of having lunch till like 2pm ok! haha
So being so late, most of the sandwich was outa stock, got an egg mayo sandwich with guava juice.
So much for healthy food lor.. Look at the amout of MAYO in it!!
*sigh*
So difficult to eat healthy leh. Only good thing is, tonite will be dinner at my PIL's place. I feel MIL's cooking is a tad too oily and bland when it comes to her soup.. But at least, it IS a home cooked meal lor.

Good news!
Guess what?!
My application to Uni SIM is approved!!! Hooray!!
Approved by Directors and also the Principal. Which means,
1) I'm gonna be back to school come Jan 2007
2) Full sponsorship for my course fees in BUSINESS discipline leh!
3) EXAMS =(
Well, exams aside, I did not think that Pricipal will approved for me to do a biz discipline leh. Though he will reject it. Woah! Who knows, he supported it and it seems from the letter, he did not think too long leh, coz the date bearing his signature was not that far apart from the last director.
Wooo hoo!!! I'm going back to school. Kinda excited leh.. haha..
Will have to go down to submit my documents before flying off to Phuket. Won't have time to rush down to Uni SIM after my holiday.
Yeah!!!

busy as a bee on a Sunday?!
*Phew*
Busy day today! Mass in the morning at 11.30am, means we (or at least me!) have to get out of bed by 9.30am to get ready. For some strange reason, the mass was quite long today, had lots of annoucements to be made. Also, a note from Archbishop to be read to all during mass with regards to the recent speech that the Holy Father (pope) made and the muslims are like picking on every single word that came out from the Pope's mouth. For goodness sake, it's not even HIS words leh, the Holy Father was merely quoting it from somewhere and I think also the koran lor. Darn these extremists!
Anyway, after the mass, hubby and me dashed to the nearby coffee shop for lunch and it got to be quick, quick!! Quick!!! Coz I have a GRAINS meeting in about 45 mins later. Coffeeshop was packed to the brim so need to wait for food and then gobble it up. *sigh*
Halfway, Emma and gang came out for BOW and joined us at our table. Had some fun chatting then I rushed back to CTK for the meeting while hubby continued chatting with them.
Made it into a chop chop meeting, tell them my plans and games then dashed out to meet hubby again and then off we go to Wise's plc. She stay rather near, thank God but from CTK, still need to change 2 buses to get there. If we were to go from home, then it's a direct bus leh. Good hor?
Anyway, we reached Wise's plc like 3 mins after the arranged time, coz we missed two 88 in a row! They came like 2 mins after each other but we were unable to catch it. Basket!
Had to wait for at least 10 mins for the next one.. *sigh* No car.. no transport, that's the problem lor.
Anyway, the moment we reached Wise's plc, we all set to work. We had a whale of a time! Messing around in her kitchen. haha.. her kitchen is well equipped I feel. What we need, she just need to pull a drawer here, pull a cupboard there and produce the item for us! Woah!! Like magic leh! haha
So after like 3,4 hours, these are our master pieces... Cookies and cookies and MORE MORE cookies!! haha.. We had peanut butter with almond slices and chocolate with almond and chocolate chips. Needless to say, I prefer the chocolate ones but the peanut cookies seem to be the preferred flavour among the 5 of us.
The guys even manage to play in the kitchen along with us, womenfolk leh. Haha.. This is the 1st time I've seen hubby playing with dough coz I've not attempted to make cookies in our nest yet.. the last times I made it was at my parents' plc hence, he has no chance to play lor.. Since, he is such a good boy and helper, maybe one of these weekend, we can make cookies at home too? We attempted a cheesecake too, but for don't-know-what-reasons, the cheesecake refuse to set... either there's too much water or not enough geleatine coz we chucked it into the freezer for at least 2 hours and still it's waterly. How??
Left Wise's plc at close to 7pm. Sorry Wise, din help you to clean your plc. Tks to Carol and Alex, we got a lift home. And it was yet another good dinner. This time it was crabs, crispy oats prawns, BBQ chicken wings complete with bread to dip in the crabs sauce. Gosh!! It was a heavenly dinner ok?!
I really really need to stop eating like this... Buffets for 2 days in a row and then now this sinful dinner.
*burb*
But it's really really good!!

A day out =)
Enjoyed myself totally today!! =) It's been sooo long since Godma, brother and myself took a day out and enjoy a lesiurely lunch and just each other's company!!
But it was a busy day! Trust me.
Though I was on leave, I woke up at the same time as I normally would when I go to work, so that I can doll up, leave home and have breakfast with hubby. If not, he will complain that I am still lazing in bed while he got to go to work. He will play on my guilty conscience that he has to go to work while I can rest wan leh. So wake up as usual he no complaints!
We went for breakfast together at 1 of my soon-to-becoming-favourite-brekfast joints. BTW, the couple who owns the store has a very cute maybe 3,4 year old daughter! Very cute, rather pretty and very VERY talkertive. I told hubby, I want a daughter JUST LIKE THAT too! =P
Ate my toast with kaya and butter and also tea then went to see doc for some pills to help me enjoy my upcoming trip to Phuket next week. Met Godma at the clinic, she took a number tag for me so I don't have to wait so long lor. Thank You, Godma!!
I spent at least 10 mins with Dr Chua leh. She's a really patient lady explaining the pills and the things to me. She's not very expensive also. Costs me $19 for the whole thing, out of which $12 is the consulation fees and only $7 for the medicine leh. Quite reasonable hor? But hor, she cheated me of 1 pill!!! I went home and inspect the medicine then I realised short of 1 pill leh.. How?! Go back to her and ask for that 1 pathetic pill??
Then made my way to Bishan Park Sec coz I had to deliever a poster and also a plague to the school lar. Me very good employee hor? I ON LEAVE ok, still go out on WORK business leh.. heehee... Also took sometime to go and take passport size photo coz I need to submit a photo of myself with the Uni SIM application leh. So ma fan and costs wasted my $6 lor. Again, CANNOT claim wan. =(
Since I manage to complete all these within 2 hours and the time was like 10+am only, decided to head home to rest a bit before meeting Godma and Bro. Being the super duper good and responsible wife and mother that Godma is, she have to clean hse, do marketing and complete watever that is necessary of her attention before meeting us lor. So I went home to wait for her call.
Finally after a long 1 hour, she called, we both dashed out and made our way to Ling Zhi Veg restaurant in Far East Square. Nice leh!! Lots of different kinds of mushroom. Bro only managed to join us at 1 pm and he got lost lor. -_-" But, we all had a good time (as usual!!) we eat and chat and laugh and enjoy the food. Food, GLOURIOUS food!! We are really such gluttons leh, sat there from 12 noon till 3pm and then we left for east coast park and plonk ourselves down in coffee bean! Before, we headed for ECP, bro got lost again, this time, cannot remember where he parked his precious car and we spent close to 15mins searching for his precious car leh! haha and the car park darn expensive!! $7.50 just for that 2 hours leh!!! My Goodness!! Bro says go ECP coz CP free ma.. so we say ok lor, go there can enjoy sea breeze.. but bleh!! We sat INSIDE coffee bean, where got BREEZE? But agian, the sun so hot, I also don't want to sit outside lor.. haha.. WOMEN!! Just sit inside, yak and laugh, we spend another 2 hours! Time passes soooo fast when you are enjoying!
And so much for free parking lor. Bro got a $30 fine!!! Think if we stay in town also won't spend $30 on parking!! bleh bleh bleh!!!
Met Hubby for a trial back massage in you know where? True Spa leh! Atas hor??!! Environment not bad. So hor, really leh, want to be mre high crass, must drink more atas drinks! haha..
hm.... not bad leh the massage.... but that's another entry to be done on another day! =P

And hor, I very clever leh, sent my boss an sms at 10+am (as I was gng home) to tell him I just sent the items and then gng to see doc then enjoy my leave leh.. My boss's reply? "Thanks"
Aren't I clever? And a very very good employee hor?! hahaha

Ooooh.... another PINKY discovery!
You know wat I was doing this morning when I stepped food foot into the office?
Of course besides working my ass off, I also have to do something that will make me enjoy my work right? Indeed, it has really been a tiring day. Non stop work from this morning till now!
I was busy trying to get online to download my camera software lah. For some strange reason hor, after DL and restart, DL and restart my PC for like I don't remember how many times, the software is still not installed and running and detected. Darn! At times like this, I really really regret why on earth, I did not pay more attention in PC class or why I did not do some IT related dip and out of the so many Dip, I have to do an Engg one which I think I have successfully returned at least 99% back to the lecturers.
Anyway! As of now, camera software is NOT working. Please help me, someone, ANYONE~~
But, on a happier note, something is working fine now.
Nice right?! Finally get the themes installed and now, when I opened my Firefox, I see yet another Pinky window. Ok lar, I know, this theme also been there for ages, but remember me is ENGG DIP NOT the IT DIP holder lor. So my theory is this lar, if an Engg Dip holder can do all these IT things hor so goody goody good 1 shot, then need IT ppl for what?! Hence, I need to be bad, so others will have a job lorr. That means, my sis will have a job since she's gonna be some IT Grad in maybe another year?! haha..
And hor, on an even more serious note hor, I've finally made and submitted my application for Uni SIM this afternoon. So darn long leh, the online application.
Apply is apply liao lar. Dir also finally picked up the pen and signed his big big name there lor. Now paper is with Dir of HR. THEN, still need to go to Principal then can finally know is will study or not study.
But closing date is 30 Sep ma. How to wait till they all signed then apply right? So being, the very efficient, self-motivated, highly-disciplined, eager to improve employee that I am, I do the application first lor. I also got to fork out $30 for it ok?! Cannot claim wan le!
But my beary good boss says, nvm la, take is as a form of investment lor. If they approved, then you study in Jan liao mar. NO need to defer till July intake. So, with his words in mind, I decided to forsake the $30.
But hor, I wonder who delay the signing and approval and make me so kan cheong for time lor. Paper was written at least like 1.5 months ago lor.

Time to GO.
I know you've been a great help to me in my work the past few years. Without you, I would definately never be able to even complete 10% of what I have done!
You stayed with me throughout the times where I had to work late, consoling me that I am not the only pathetic soul working in the office at such unearthly times. Singing me songs, sharing my joys, tears, laughter and frausrations all these time.
I still remembered the happiness that I had when you first came to my life. Occupying a significiant space in this little room here. Creating little problem most of the times, except when you have a bout of maybe.... PMS once a while? I try to do my part to make sure that you were nourished well and had enough rest and information so that the next day, we can be the best of pals again.
We never carry our arguments over to the next day unless it was a really serious case of PMS. The only time so far was when you absoultely refuse to speak to me no matter how hard I tried to be back into your good books. But oh well, that was a couple of months back ago. And I say let bygones be bygones.
I also have to apologise for the fact that, once I, JUST ONCE. I turned violent and hit you. Of course, it was not on purpose. I'm sincerely sorry for that 1 incident.
Over the years, we have helped each other to beautify ourselves. With me giving you little decorations that you can use and you helping me to edit my pics and things.
Really grateful for all these help, care and concern that I've been showered on by you.
But, the reality is such that, if we do not keep upgrading and improving and re-profiling ourselves, we will become obselte. I'm sorry, pal.. but the world is also a cruel world, it's also a survival of the fittest in this organization and also in the world!
I'm glad to say, at least it's not me who's gonna get axxed. Sorry, Pal.

Oh! BTW, I heard that you are not that old after all, they are gonna to re-format you and then put you in the e-learning plaza where you can prove your loyalty and usefullness for the students.
I'll ask the DT to be gentle with you, k?!
Take care Pal, so long!

Isn't it nice?!
Look what I've got?! This was the very very FIRST THING that I checked to make sure that I still have after my PC upgrade this morning leh!
Isn't it nice and sweet and PINK looking?! It's complete with purple fonts for myself!! I LOVE IT!! I know I am being silly here lar, of course, MSN has already came out with this version that I can change the background sooooooo many donkey years ago and now then I get excited over it.
Well, the reason is very simple lor, coz yours truly moi was using an old old version of MSN that cannot change the colour theme la. So now, I'm soooo excited over it. Not to mention happy and feeling pinky too!
I can't wear the colour pink very well coz it looks horrible on me, but on one says I cannot make sure that I am surrounded by PINKY things lor! haha..
Like my pink Yoga Mat, pink MSN theme. Trying to get the Firefox pink theme too! But darn it. Having some problems! Nvm, will try again tml coz I'm now getting ready to go for my weekly kickbox class liao..
ciao~

Say 'Helloooooo" to my new "Dell" now!
This was one of the 1st thing that I made sure I changed after the DT and DELL people left.. haha.. To change my desktop!!

Was raining cats and dogs in the afternoon, but that did not deter my colleagues and me gng to Bishan J8 for a super duper good lunchie!
Look at this and you will get what I mean!
Isn't this simply droolsome?!
I cannot remember what it's called now, but it's some kind of skin wrapping chicken baked in cheese! Goodness!! It's simply fanastic ok!!
It's a set meal and it comes with mushroom soup, which I already finished before I remembered to take pic, main course of this, it comes with also a glass of Icy Lemon Tea and also their famous cheese cake. I had oreo cheese to complete my meal. It's simply heavenly!!
Best of all, it's about $16 after the tax and such a good lunch! Goodness...
Must go and try ok? It's Chicken something something lar.. Abit like Taco's Bells.. just that the skin is soft, not the crispy kind! Good!!

It's FOC lei!
Went to the market this morning and also not sure what to buy, so just some corns, meat and also breakfast. I know hubby was still upset at me over last nite's incident so I also was not really in the mood to do marketing plus the coming week would be yet another busy weeknight week. Hence, there is actually no need to get much. But coz hubby is still upset, I thought it will be good to at least have some food for him as a sign of peace lor.
Bought him a you tiao and also some fishballs. Made peace lar. But I think the issue is not really over yet. While I was preparing soup, hubby stood next to me and we talked a little while I was preparing soup. I remember my mom saying since I can make this kinda simple soups, can make for the extended family... so ok la.. since nothing much needs to be done today.
Anyway went for lunch at my mom's plc. Coz, did not have the chance and time to go there on weeknights for the past week at all! Let's see what I was so busy with..
*puts thinking hat on*
Monday - Yoga
Tues - OGF
Wed- Kickboxing
Thurs - Confirmation but din go coz I was not well
Fri - Queenstown to get mat
Yah, no wonder no chance to go back to parents' place for a meal the whole of this weeknights! So had been hoon soup at my mom's plc. It's been sooooo long since I last ate her bee hoon soup! I love it! She taught me how to cook it before, but I cannot be bothered to go and cook the ikan bilis soup. Takes alot of time and effort leh. I tried once, but no soup leh. All dried up. Think my fire too big then.
Then hubby and me settled down to watch TV with the rest of my family just chatting and laughing lor.
All these time, my sister knew I was thinking of how to shelf my Canon Powershot A80 w/o loosing too much $ coz it's bulky and heavy. Thinking of getting something smaller so that it's not so heavy and big to carry around.
But whenever I checked out the price of other newer and better looking models, I feel the pinch and decide to keep to the trusty A80, since it is 1) a Christmas present from hubby 2) Still in good working condition 3) It's only worth $100 if I were to sell while hubby bought it at $500! 4) mainly I want to use it to take pics for me to post in blog.. After serious deliberations and pocket screaming at me. Yup, NOT changing camera lor. Too poor and still have a perfectly working camera on hand mar, too wasteful to change.
But, BUT!! You know what's the best thing that can be happening? My sis, YUPS, my sis,
she decided to give me her Sony Cyber-shot leh! (She won this in her co's D&D many moons ago lar) It's definately a smaller and ligher cam than mine leh! So happy now! haha..
But, she lost her installation software leh. The camera makes use of memory stick. I do have a multi card reader in office but cannot remember if there is a slot of MS though. Will try. If really don't have then need to find a way to DL the pics taken into the PC leh.
Woo HOO!! So I'm happy now. I have a somewhat new camera and best of all free. It's free both rounds leh. Coz my sis got it free and I got it free too ma. haha.. happy happy..
After a good lunch, completed with durian mooncake, watermelons and a new camera, we head home to rest for a while and also for me to check on the soup that I left simmering at home, which is for my PIL's when we go for dinner.
I was cooking my personal favourite, corn soup. So went home, tasted it, added salt to taste and left it there. I think it should be sweet enough, there's like $4 worth of pork, 1 chicken breast bone as well as 4 cobs of corn. But think I din add enough salt lor.. haha
Not sure if PIL likes this kind of cantonese soup. Coz so far, I have never seen MIL made this kind of soup, could be coz she's busy. Where got so much time to cook soup for 2,3 hours when she leaves for work like 6am and come back at 4++pm? Since, we are not working on Sundays and we are gng to their place for dinner, I think it's a good idea to just bring some food over lor. 1) can ease MIL's worry of what to cook 2) can show that their precious son is still eating rather well enough though he married me lor
Good right?! Killing 2 birds with 1 stone and both will put me in a good light to them! haha..
Heng hor, I got a big enough pot to cook and bring everything there lor.. Was kinda worried that they don't drink. MIL says very sweet and ate lots of corn. Good! Good! But, we did have a wee bit of problem transporting that big pot of rather hot soup over lor. Somemre, we take bus ok? But still not too bad, don't think alot spill out. Thanks to hubby's skills lor. haha
So, you see, we had free lunch, free camera and free diner (all we contribute was a pot of soup). Isn't my title apt?! haha

What a Saturday!
*whew*
Besides the usual tiring housework, lunch and nap. Add in stress, shopping and also argument? And this is my Saturday for today. =(
Got to prepare to do an accoucement for CTK abt GRAINS later during mass. It kinda got me worried la, so was on my toes the whole day. That did not help and then I got irriated by M for some of her silly questions. =/
*hai*
But I think overall the announcement went ok, then hubby and me for dinner in
Pizza Hut finishing up our vouchers that we got.
While we were doing aimless shopping, I even manage to get a pair of shoes leh! Not bad!! And I desprately need some shoes coz most of the soles on my exisitng pairs of shoes are giving way. So, the search has already begun for some new shoes. But coz, was sooooo darn broke, din want to spend unncessarily mar. But found this at Toa Payoh the other time, just that I did not have the time to try it then. Tried it on, it's comfy and decided to get it. It's sooo cheap some mre leh. $16.20 after 10%. Happy liao.
Went to NTUC, got some fruits and then headed home. All is well for now.. But *sigh*.. things are not so after we have bathed and settle down in front of the TV lor.
Can read the full story here lor.. *sigh*..

Finally I can go to Yoga with style
Got my mat after work today!
And you know at where?
QUEENSTOWN!!
Because, I went on an online search and read that a forummer bought her Nike mat in Queenstown for $28! So, being cheapo, I was not willing to pay $36.75 for a mat that I don't know I'm gonna use for how long and also paying $29.90 for a non branded mat seems expensive when I can get it cheaper ma.
Nice hor? I know I wanted the violet and grey mat, but they don't have that colour in that shop leh.. So, out of the blue, green and pink, pink is the more girl girl colour lor. Finally bought the mat at $30. Still cheap ma, consider the retail price is another $7 more leh.
Then went to another shop and they have the violet/grey! But heng ar, after seeing the colours on the mat, not so nice leh. Online and the actual got difference.
So, still heng, I choosen my pink mat.
Now, all I need to do is wait for Monday and I can go to Yoga with style! =)

No wonder the kilos are staying PUT!
I had this for lunch.
Bought from the Malay food store, complete with 3 pieces of nuggets, mutton and veg. No gravy since this is sinful enough. But, I asked for less rice, so what you see is actually half full of rice only lor.
Also had a slice of honeydew. Not as sweet as yesterday's but still nice.
Gosh, if I continue eating like this, no wonder, I din manage to loose any weight but seems to be steadily slowly but surely rising and rising leh! How ar??!

A studious Saturday!
Went for the Uni SIM Open House @ Clementi today with hubby.
I roughly know where the campus was, so thank God, we did not take the wrong bus, nor alight at the wrong bus stop nor walk the wrong way lor. haha.. Well, the only fear was getting off at the wrong stop coz we know for sure that bus 74 goes there.
Reached Uni SIM rather early and just walked around and asked some questions then we both went for the talks. It was quite exciting for me when I first step into the LT. I begin to feel the excitment and exhilaration when I went in. It's been soooo long when I last attended any of such talks in another plc and sitting there as a student listening to the lecturers.. wow... Kinda missed that kind of 'studying' phrase in my life. Only thing now is to wait for the approval from the top before I can enrolled to be a Uni SIM student, unless of course, I want to pay the school fees myself?! Granted, working in an education centre, means I get to go for lectures and talks pretty often, but it's different coz for one, I've been here for sooo long, 2nd, I'm attending the talk as a staff and lastly, I don't have to pay attention.. hiak hiak...
I went for the business related talk while hubby went for the IT related talk. But even before my talk was halfway thru, his ended, so he came to join me at my LT. We both sat thru the whole talk and then leave the campus. I enjoyed every minute of it. But hubby seems hesistant about it. Well, we shall see then.
We went to Holland Village after that,
been so long since I last came with hubby. Was too hungry for words and we ate sme noodles and then walked around. Was a sunny hot hot day and we were both quite warm so we hide out in air con most of the time.
Nothing much caught our eyes, hence we din buy anything, but it feels good to be just spending time wif hubby walking.
It was not crowded but there were lots of ang mo's around. Then, we decided to have dinner here. It says 'for friends' leh.. but hubby and me not friends ma.. can go in or not huh? haha.. we did went in and
we really enjoy the food. Good leh! Hubby and me enjoyed ourselves very much. We din order much, just 1 pizza and also the calarmi to share.
And you know what, the glasses they served the ice water in also quite COOL leh. haha.. yes, cool to both the water and the glasses! We took a long time for dinner. Sat there and enjoy the scenery, oh!
Did I mention that we were sitting at the balcony on level 2?
It was great, we ate and chat and laugh and watch the sky gets darker, the streets gets livelier and more crowded, the lights coming on and then just sti there as though we have ALL the time in the world and simply just watched the world goes by. Really should do it more often. I LOVE IT!
Not to mention, me taking shots of things that catches my eye and thinking in my mind, how to share it and what to write it.. Gosh.. Me kind of turning into a blogger addict! Who cares if no one reads my blog. I write coz I want to creat my own memories and a dairy of sorts for myself!
Alrighty, here's sme pics I snapped. I like the table arrangement. Kind of dreamy right?
Blue organza and table cloth makes a good and dreamy effect I feel, like the sea, kinda relaxing. While red and pink makes a romantic kind of setting, I like both. And seriously in SG, not often can get to see dining in the open! I think only in Holland Village that it's soooo common! Complete with lotsa of ang mo's. Really give you a feeling as though you are not in SG leh! haha.. But I think I am thinking wayyy too much!
Then later into the evening, TP came and close the roads with these barriers.. haha..
Hubby says it was to prevent bombing.. But then again, if really want to bomb, anywhere on the road also can lor, must really come in? haha can work meh? Just close the road also can meh? I seriously hv my doubts lor..

new toys!
Guess what I have?!
My sup went to Kuching for a holiday and got me this.. haha.. rather cute, don't you think? It's the tip of a rather long pencil, 18 cm to be exact. Is it the normal length for a pencil? I can't be sure now, it's been ages since I used a pencil that I need to sharpen myself!
Actually there's also 2 sweets, but 1 was already in my mouth when I took the pic.. So left with just this and it's for Darling when I see him later!
Ain't I a sweet wife? ;P
And shortly after I got this cute souvenirs, I got a call from 1 of my colleague asking me to go see him to collect something. So being, the very oblidging obliging colleague that I am and strive to me be, I went down to his office and guess what I've got now?!
This!!!
My goodness, a 60G external hard disk! Pardon me for sounding so "sua koo" ok but my goodness!! Can you imagine that each of us was given 1 of this toy? Wow!! I knew, my co is rich, but this rich? haha... I'm gonna have fun with this guy here. And it is an expensive guy ok, coz my office mate, Ah Teck says so lar. I know nuts about technology to tell you weather it's ex or cheap.
And the next thing is, the NEW PC is going to be delieverd to my office next week! Woo Hoo!!
So? Agree right? My co is rich hor?!
P.s. I have already transferred all my photo files into the hard disk. I'm gng call it a "him" and his name will be "Hunk!" Well.. all the photos have already gone in, and it's taken up like 1G of Hunkie.. Gosh.. I never know, I had taken so many photos since the digi cam was bought in '04.

I'm happy!
Have you watched the Korean show, Full House?
It's one of those idols shows, not much story line but still, will chase after it kind...
I had this pic in my msn for a while now and Amanda came online today and commented that I look like 1 of the actress in this show, Full House! I was sooo surprised. Drilled her who.. I thought she was gng to say the lead, Song Hui Qiao or something..or the lead's pregnant friend (don't know her name) . Who I think are pretty ladies but not my kind of pretty.. and guess what? She say nope. Not them, the other one.
So that leaves..
Sorry, I don't know her name. But she's a successful fashion designer in the show.. And I find her soooo pretty!
So, obviously, I was very happy to be told that I look like her lor!
Actually, I don't for a moment believe and think and feel that I look like her lar, but since Mandy says it, then I shall believe it. haha
Thank You, Amanda for the vote of confidence!!
I'm one happy woman right now!!

Don't bother to go down to get this from The Body Shop!

It's the New Make-Up Range of "Lip colours that are rich and long lasting wiht a sweet vanilla scent, Hi-Shine Lip Treatment withe medium colour intesity."
The colour is horrible!! I got this as a sample in the mailer maybe about 2,3 days ago and decided to give it a try yesterday.
Bleh! Bleh!! Bleh!!!
Ah... the Hi Shine thingy can try if you like the glossy lips look, but the lipsticks... well put it this way, if you want to look like those auntie with too red mouths... then I nothing to say...
Looks horrible lor. Ok, it may be just me not suitable for the colour lor.. SO, u go and try then tell me lor.
But as for me, I am gng to stick to my MAC Colours!
