How come so different?!

I recently bought these during an online spree...

女人我最大Shimmering Pearl Eyeliner in White and Pink.Supposed to look like this after application. Looks nice hor? =) That's why I bought it.

But very disappointingly, it does not turn out anywhere near it after I applied! Must be me, not enough skills lor! =(

I guess with the RIGHT technique and skills and whatever else it takes, my eyes can and should look like this kawaii girl below lor. But erm... No lei, NOT anywhere near it...Got to try very much harder to get that kind of effect liao.

I not related to this girl lor, so don't ask me for contacts or any thing. She's the model for the item I bought so I just use her pics.

But she is really cute hor? I was NEVER cute to begin with... so, no wonder the applied already also so different. =/

Lessons followed by...

Had lessons today for the UCore, "Learning to Learn" which is a silly subject! The lecturer is good I must say but his teaching method is B-O-R-I-N-G. Though he is a master trainer in the mind mapping but he keeps boasting about himself then it makes me a bit sian lar. =( But I must say his maps are very nice. Colourful and easy to understand. But still very boring lor. hai... next week still have 1 more session. hai...

Anyway, after the super boring lesson, (which by the way, I found out 1 of my classmate also took Stats, but her lecturer is so horrible, she came into my class on Thursday, which resulted in a supper full class.) anyway, we chatted for a while during break and I guess I shall see her again in class on Thursday since she agree that my Stats Tutor is very good! hahaha.. opps... out of point... I want to say, I took the bus to town to meet hubby. Coz I wanted to eat the Korean food, so we went there.

I ordered my hot plate sotong and dug into it without delay. TOO hungry for words already. Hubby had claypot curry chicken. I think it should be very tasty. But I din try. =( Nvm, will have a chance next time lar.

I was desperate for working shoes and I saw URS at Heeren, so dragged hubby to find something with me. Saw a few that I quite like but the price don't agree with me... in the end, only ended up with this.It's an old old design already but since I really cannot find anything, then not much choice too lor.

AND I saw something which I'm gonna add into my Wish List, now, N-O-W!

THE Sony Ericsson W880i!!!I've decided already, when this current phone dies, I'm gonna change to this model! Yay!!! Now, the price is at an exhorbiant rate of $6368... Will wait till it is cheaper before I change. This phone has lots of function lei!! Can read more about the W880i if you are interested here. The more I see, the more I like it already... Kind of waiting for my V3i to erm... you know right? haha...

Went to Tangs and finally bought my sun block... after so long lor. Finally! And, DANG!!! I did not bring my Citibank card, don't have the 6% discount, and too late to back out coz I was already at the cashier!! Argg...

So also feel too pai sey to back out then no choice, went ahead to buy. =(

And I think the most interesting thing that could possible ever happen is that I was given these during class earlier. Yups, balls.

Ermm.. not so many lar, just a set of 3 balls. Not sure what happened to the pic I take also lei... =S And we are supposed to be able to juggle them by the next lesson. Hai... Now, I can only throw 3 balls an cannot catch. Need to try much much harder then.

50% done.

Whew... finally, I slogged thru half of the evening and I got 50% of the Stats individual project done... hmm.. come to think of it.. not 50%, it's lesser... like maybe 20% only... Though I've answered 1.5 of the 4 questions, I have not started on the presentation slides nor the script for the video shooting...

Nevermind lar, I'm starting early for Stats since I think I will need loads of help. The shooting is on 20 March. About 2 weeks more. The moment I'm done with the report, I can plan the rest. =)

But I need to get started for the Contract & Agency Law individual project as well... With these 2 weeks left, I really got to manage my time well!

But I'm just so happy that Stats is making a slow but sure progression... this is my most feared subject! Luckily, my lecturer is SOLIDLY good!!! He already went thru the questions and helped us with it. Else, how could I possibily even make a leeway with it!

Thank God for him mann!!!

Just now, so funny, halfway thru, Hubby said he's very hungry... so we went down for supper.. haha.. so late lei.. Midnight and then go n eat. Very fattening lei... But I only ate fishballs so not that bad la... Came up and finished off with whatever I can for Stats!

Going to slp... Tired out. Look at the time!!! Gosh... I've been awake for more than 19 hours!!! Gosh!!!! =S Panda eyes all showing already!

I'm happy! Know why??

Coz, as of today, I've finished half of the assignments due for this month! Yay!! No doupt that there's still lots to be done to be handed up, but since half of it is over, my stress is like wise reduced!

I just need to concentrate on the following for now...
Individual Project for the Contract & Agency Law
Individual Porject for Statistics
2 TMAs for UCore, Learning to Learn (which will only earn me a Pass or Fail)
and lastly, 2 more TMAs for Media, due early and end of Apr.

Yay... My stress level is lessen. Hooray!!! =)

If you have not change ur blog template, you should. The new template is SOOOOOOOOOO easy to use! Really it's click and drag or just cut and paste. Coming from an IT illiterate like me, trust me, it's easy. Only thing is, I don't know how come my pandas are gone. Possibily due to the fact that it was Hubby who pasted the pandas for me and I have no idea where he buried the bulk of it.... so.. anyway... depends on my mood la...

If I have nothing better to do tonite, then will go and find some of those Pandas that I love... else... stick to this till I get bored of it again lor. =)

On a completey different matter, I just came back from a very filling lunch of this - Claypot Hor fun. It's nice! But also very hot!(Hot as in tongue burning hot, not the spicy, chili hot lar). The Keow Teow is smoother and softer than usual. I felt the gravy is not as sweet as the normal standard as well.

But overall, not bad, for $3.60, quite ok. I got an egg to go along with it, hence mre expensive.

But I like it, think we will go back soon to try the next dishes.

Not really my day.

Yesterday I was in a Sec school for their career day exhibitation together with my sup. After that, we made our way to town after it has ended. Just before, we were going to leave the school, it started pouring. We had no brollies. Luckily another colleague was still there and she gave us a lift to the bus stop just outside.

Sup and I then made our way to town. I'm meeting hubby for a dinner and movie while sup is meeting her hubby for dinner in town.

All was well on the bus and MRT ride. Got out at City Hall and then I made my way to Robinsons. I wanted to get this...

My nominated store is in Robinsons, City Hall, so on the way ma morever, I have the Robinsons card... I exited out of the MRT and went to the store. Asked about it and all, then the sales told me, OOS! (Out Of Stock!) Alamak!!! I ran out of sun block lei!! Was banging on getting it today lei! =( hai... No choice... the next nearest outlets are those in Bugis, Orchard. Yar, I'm heading towards town, but to PS lor. Not that side of Town. Chiam liao this time, no sunblock.

Then no choice, before I can even think of any other solution, hubby called. He reached already. Sunblock save for another day then!

Then this morning... for don't know what reason, my hp refused to wake me up. It won't even start no matter how many times I tried!!! Argh!

Don't tell me, the phone gone case already... Not even a year old lei. Pls don't die on me so soon lei! My practise is to change after 24 months or 21 months earliest wan lor. Not ready to change HP yet, so don't die yet huh!

Hubby says no battery. Cannot be, last night when I off it, still got 2 bars. How can it be at night no use and this morning flat?! Anyway, for the time being, it's working. SO just pray that it continues to work well till Mar 11 2008!!! Or really have to have an early death, then "dong" till Dec 07.

So needless to say, this morning late for work lor. =( Somemore, no breakfast too!

I just realised.

Well, noticed at the bottom of the page, there is a Stat counter? That counter is very good! It captures all the information of readers who came to visit my blog. Only a few minutes ago, I logged in and then find a new address that I've never seen before and hence went to take a look.

Then when I went to her blog, I saw my own address there! Wow! All these time, I thought only my friends came to take a look and to link me to them. I never knew that there are others who I don't know linked me! I thought only will be I linked myself to them!

What a plesant surprise! =)

THE shake.

I was sitting in office working on some documents for both school and work and then... out of a sudden, I felt a bout of giddiness that came over me. I looked up and then everything was as normal, so continued to do what I was doing.

But the feeling came back again!

At this time, my office mate stood up and asked if I felt the building shake.

DUH!!!

So what I felt earlier was not my giddiness. But the building! OMGooness. Just how clever can I be?!

I thought it's coz of the construction that the building shook, it was much much later then we found out that there's a quake at Sumatra.

wah sey.... AMK also affected lei! Ant the feeling is scary lor. Really can feel the building shake.. My first ever quake in Sunny SG island.

Ah Teck told me to evaculate the building and we did! We went to the HDB flats nearby for kopi. -_-" If the building falls isn't it the same?!

Really... Just how much MORE clever can I really really get huh?!

On the bright side, at least I know now, and still have time to change since the paper is due on 5 Mar. At least, I know I've made mistakes and he has highlighted it to me and hence I can do my changes rather than get a big fat '0' for the marks right?

But still abit sad, coz I've really no idea what to write. =(

And my first time ever spree has arrived! Too excited over it. Already opened before I remembered I should take a photo! DUH!!!

I got the shimmery eye liners. Pink and White. ALL the way from Taiwan lei. It's highly recommended by the locals there! Some more so cheap! Will try it out real soon!

That I've OFFICIALLY finish the FIRST assignment for the silly "Learning to Learn" (COR154) as at this moment. The only thing that I need to do will be to find a way to submit to the lecturer!

I manage to actually find a software online to do mind mapping and complete it within 5 hours... I know lar, not fanastic, but today I downloaded and I can actually use it, I think it's quite a good attempt lei.

Next to tackle, my media module, since the assignment is due 5 Mar. But I think I'm almost done for that also, so not so bad. Just need to read thru and answer the rest of those that I did not answer. Hopefully, during the tutorial this week, will be able to gain abit more insights.

2 more online tests as well for next weekend.

I should think this will be the last Bday present that I will be getting for this year... Tri came over to bai nian during the 3 day holiday of CNY. And she came with my Bday present.

Wah Lau...

I've been sitting here for the past 3 hours just doing a silly question on "How does Mind Map improve thinking!"

Best of all, this silly question will only warrant me a Pass or Fail and I have to spend 3 solid hours thinking, reading, going thru notes and research! (Pass or Fail grade, I also HAVE and MUST pass lar.)

Still need to do an actual map to be submitted together.

Just a P/F grade and I spent 3 hours, no wonder for my 10CU paper, I spent 1 whole day... =(

I really really hope that this will not continue.

The heathiest thus far...

I think I'm getting tooo stressed out and not sure if Irene is aware, she suggested lunch at Subway, saying she only wanted salad for lunch. I was happy to join her for lunch, but was thinking, maybe more than "just a salad" maybe their sandwich then.

But when I reached there, checked thru the menu, erm... don't interest me lei.... so end up? I really got "just a salad"
Hmm... Of course I upgraded it to a meal, complete with drinks and 2 cookies, as the norm.

Anyway, not sure if it's Friday or is it after a verbal diarrohea yesterday, or the healthy greens, I'm not so stressed as yesterday.

Even had mood to joke with Irene and then went shopping in J8. Actually, not really shopping lar, I just needed to get some items from the "Hock Hua" and NTUC. By chance, we walked into Muji and I got some nice coasters at only $0.60 each! No kidding! I was thinking if I should get more, but I guess, only Hubby and me using, no need so many. 2 will be enough.

Managed to do up about 60-70% of one of my assisgment due early next week, quite happy about that, though I spent the WHOLE day just doing that using COMPANY's time. =S Imagine if I'm more busy now, how will I be able to manage to do that?

Thank God that now is still CNY mood for most colleagues, they are still either on leave or not in the mood yet, so I'm spared! hahahaha...

Finally it's almost time to go home... Probably making a simple dinner for tonite and then it's back to more mugging for me, tonite and tomorrow. Sunday, it's filled with plans for lunche and dinner, hence no time. Really got to mug with whatever spare time I have left now. =(

Oh!!! Did I mention that my sis IS helping me with stats? Thank GOD!!!

Thanks to the "super duper clever me" months ago when I was registering my papers, now I have a grand total of 4 modules for this sem. 75% of which are all half sem papers. And thanks to it, I have 7 projects (2 group work and 5 individual!!!) to be completed in MARCH 07! To be precise, the breakdown is like this...

5 Mar: TDSZ 151, Assisgnment 1 - Individual
9 Mar: BUS 105 AND BUS 201, Group Project(s)
23 Mar: BUS 105 AND BUS 201, Individual Projects! Complete with report, PPT slides AND a 8 min video clip ok!

Yes!! I am HIGHLY stressed out for the month of MARCH.

Did I mention that I'll be having my F-I-R-S-T lesson of COR154 only on 10 March? The damn assisgment is due on 3 March!!!! My goodness, this is the FIRST time, I've ever heard of such a thing, haven't even gone for ANY class, lectures, whatever and then there's assisgnment?! So bloodly unfair! How would I know how to answer the damn question?!!!

Someone, please remind me why on earth I ever took on such a crap timetable please?!

YA!! I know. My bloodly own stupidity! ARGG!!!

I feeling like crying, feel like I wanna tear all my hair out, feel like just banging my head (which is housing a not very clever brain) on the wall at this moment in time too! I feel like shooting my mgr & dir who got me into this situation too! If not for them to keep pestering me to GO and study, I definately will NOT be suffering like now!

The only, O-N-L-Y consolation I have? I only have 1 exam, written paper at the end of this Semester. Once, I clear the month of March with those freaking 7 projects, I'm almost done for this sem.

Back to work

After the long CNY break, it's finally back to work today.

Feeling tired, dragged myself out of bed this morning, feel so envious of Hubby whose still asleep as I step out of the house! So to cheer myself up, I decided to deck myself in my CNY finnery! Was in everything new except for my bag.

Nice red top and a checked black,red & grey skirt. Pretty pretty is me, pretty pretty is my mood on the way to work too! Only thing is, then I started to realise the heels is giving me problems, the part where I 'kiap' my toes to the strap, is 'kiapping' me too! Gosh! Painful lei. =( So sad, this pair is one of my favourite pair among the lot I got for this year!

Worse, I still have lessons tonite, how to walk like tat, no choice, will be wearing the pair of super flat slippers to class.

Today is the first day of work, also is Ash Wednesday, since I'm having lessons, no choice went for the lunchtime mass instead. Hubby was there when I arrived. He was supposed to go for the evening mass but his training was cancelled so he can joined me.

Halfway thru, I began to feel very very sleepy. Must be the evil one at work, coz I seldome doze off when it's Fr Yim whose celebrating the mass. Anyway, I came back to office at only close to 2.15pm. Luckily, no one was looking for me.

The moment I stepped into campus, got a sms from my sup. Last min meeting with a teacher. Since I'm free then, joined them. Boring lar. The teacher is ok, I dislike his HOD. Irriating character. But then again, work is work, so still have to do what I got to do for them.

Just came back from class, reading some of the notes and then blogging. Feeling tired. But there's so much things to read. TONNES of materials and so many TMAs to be completed. Really feeling drained and yet, to be honest, my semester has just started.

*SIGH*

DAMN IT!

ARG!!!!! I'm so bloody pissed off!!!!!! Arggg!!!!

The stupid CITIbank has given me their SMRT credit card, which I've also linked up $20 to be charged everytime the value falls below 0. But I wanted to change it to $50 and hence I got to cancel the orginal amount and then go and re-apply for it.

Everything would have been great if the webby for the auto-top up is easier to use!! Argg!!! I've been searching for the last 1 hour for the silly darn webby!!!

First attempt at THE assignments...

Woo... Just completed the online assignments for my modules.... Think I should be one of the earlier ones to do it?

I even brought the books and notes to office hoping that I can steal a few moments to do some revision before doing it! But, I did not manage to read thru much. WORSE!!! I actually brought the WRONG module notes lor!!! So those rare moments that I was actually spending time on my notes, studies, I actually revised a module that has NO assignment this week!!!

I was quite nervous about the 2 papers, especially stats.. hai... though the lectuer had done revision yesterday but I'm still not confident of the paper at all. For the other subject, Law, my group mate has already done it and she said it's ok, just make sure to have all the books and study guides, notes beside me, then should be ok.

Neverously, I attempted the Law assignment. *Phew* after a 1 hour attempt I've finally done it and I think should be able to pass lar. Don't think will pass very well, but will pass, I think.

Then for stats, I was still debating with myself to do it on Sat or to do it at the sametime... don't know why, I just did it. Woah!!!! I stress myself mann.. The assignment was well... Put it this way, if had gone for the Thursday class, definately can pass kind lor!!!

So happy!!!

Now, go and sleep liao. CNY is already here lorr!!! Time for me to go and slp and then enjoyzzz!!!

This IS a back dated post!

But I wanna record it down, so that I will NOT forget this. EVER.

To celebrate CNY, co had organised a festive dinner at the staff lounge. Lots of the staff were there, of course I went, despite having a good bday lunch that Godma and bro bought me to, in Sizzler earlier.

I saw TMDBK there as well and it took me a long long time before I finally convinced myself that since he is my mgr, I should give him the respect and should at least say Happy NY to him. I SINCERELY wish I'm not so respectful of him NOW!

The whole conversation went like this....

Me: Happy New Year! =)

BK: Happy New Year... I got your voicemail, when I heard your voice, I know u sure MC already. Sounded so bad.

Me: Yar. Voice was totally gone. Can only croak, very bad cough. Cough till lungs like coughing out. Doc said it's bronchititis.

BK: I saw your MC, 2 days. Then turn behind. WAH! Another 2 days. Last month, took 2 days MC already, now 4 days. You want to utlise all the MC days ar?

Me: No choice lei. Saw doc twice lei, finished all the med, but still cannot recover. Till now, still coughing. Somemore the med so expensive!

BK: You better take care ar. Be careful ar, can be crowned as our MC Queen already!

Me: *seething in anger* No choice lei. Really cannot recover.

BK: You know hor, you are considered lucky lei. Not all staff can be sponspred for a course not related to their work.

Me: *So? What you want IDIOT? Insulted me and then say this, wanna make me FOREVER grateful too you is it?! I respected u as my mgr so I came over to say Happy NY. Then kena your insults?! Insulted me and now remind me tat it was you who wrote the recommendation letter?! PUI!!!!!* Ya. I know.

BK: Last time were you sick so often? *I shook my head at this point.* Ever since you got chicken pox, your immunity very weak hor?

Me: Is it? I din notice lei. Maybe ba.

At this point in time, another staff came over and I walked away from this idiot.

Call himself a manager. No EQ lor. How did he ever get promoted till so high up?! Say all this during a festive celebration.

Before I heard him say all these, I can still convince myself to be respectful to him, now. 0 respect and I don't even intend to try to bring that respect up to 0.01%.

Insult me first then try to get me to be grateful to you?! I WAS appreciative to him for helping me to get a sponsorship before he say that. Now, no lor. NOT the least!

Today is MY special day! My very own special day! =)

Guess who is the First person to wish me? Must be Clement & Family (during the SW Gathering last Friday) then followed by Tri, my dear friend and then Emma, Carol was the next! Alex took the 1st place in wishing me me on actual day itself! Followed closely by dear Hubby and after that my new project mate from the Contract and Agency Law, KH.

Feel so bless and happy that I've received so many Birthday wishes from the people around me! Don't know what hubby is gonna give me for my special day. But it seems that he may be getting me that nice brush holder I saw yesterday in City Link Mall. My guess is that he will bring me to go and get it later after lunch. hahaha

So not surprising lei. hahaha...

Update again when I lay my hands on it later... and see if it will be different from what I guess it will be!

Tis the day of Love

Happy Valentine's Day!

And how much more blessing it is for someone like me who has bday so close to Vday? Double the blessings I think!

Irene bought me a bday lunch earlier today from The Soup Spoon. It was my first visit there but I like the soups! I've seen the Soup Spoon in a few places but never had the chance to try anything.

Today, I finally had the chance to try it. Instead of the bread, I opted for the Naan which is equally good! Light, crispy on the outside and soft inside! Nice!!! I think they try to baked the Naan as close to the tradition method, but of course, they do not have the space for that kind of tranditional tandoor (clay oven) so what they have instead is a smaller golden cast clay oven inside the store. Looks expensive! ha!

So, our lunch for today?! Velvety Mushroom Stroganoff (Feels almost like eating fresh mushrooms out of the field. The mushrooms are so smooth, they glide down the throat. This soup is overpowering with the aroma of mushrooms perfect for mushroom lovers.) Beef Goulash (Prime beef cut stewed with the infamous paprika and loaded with starchy vegetables to make it a meal in itself.) complete with Naan! Woo! Very NICE!!! I wanna go back again and try their Tokyo Chicken Stew and the rest! Above all, I want MORE Naan! =)

Then came the time for her to start looking in ernest for her boi boi's present. She already know exactly what she wanna get. But sucks, the 1st store we went in, don't carry the range, so NVM, we had a good lunch in Soup Spoon and then set off to look for it again. We were not very worried that we cannot find the other store, since we were in town. It's just a matter of walking a few more steps.

Well, steps we DID take. And it lead us to Suntech. Good walking, window shop and just chatting. Reached the store, found the item, she paid for it. She was happy, so was I for her and Mel. I'm pretty sure Mel will love it! He better la, 2 ladies walked all the way to the MRT stn and to Suntech just to get his Vday present lei!

We were on the way back to the MRT stn when something caught Irene's eyes. I was on a hunt to find a pencil case to stuff my items and all those I saw were like too big, too small, too short, too kiddy, too not my taste. I saw the same item she saw, just that I did not stop to look at it coz I was afraid of the price tag.

Yups people, I'm down again.

This time even more serious. Bad cough and according to the doc, it's bronchitis. Lots of blackflow from the flu and I got to start taking this "lungs expansion" medicine that will make my heartbeat go faster and hands tremble.

So no choice, the doc gave me the childrens' dosage for this 'lung expansion' med. Not bad tasting at all lei. Sweet liquid kind! haha.. But the cough medicince tastes horrid. YUCKS! It's not the normal cough syrup. But the bitter kind. Just YUCKS lor. Bleh!

Been to the doc this morning, and another 2 days of MC. This time, there is antibiotics to complete as well. =(

I tell you, it's not cheap to fall sick lor. REALLY!

This visit to the doc is $62!!! My goodness!

And not to mention, these 2 days will chalk up a grand total of 6 days of MC in just 2 months. Great isn't it?!

It's another gathering time!

But today was also the release of the 'O' level results so besides me going to a secondary school for the release and also to be there to give some counselling to the students who may need it, I was also kind worried for my sister.

Yups! She's waiting for it as well. Waited so long for her call, and when the sms finally came. Woo... Not bad. 18 pointer for 5 subjects. Not fanastic but decent to get into a poly course.

My fear was that she cannot even make it to a Polytechnic Education!!! Heng mann! Thank God! She still did relatively well enough to get into a poly. Now for her to choose which course and poly she wanna get in. Based on her results, not much choice too lar, but better than nothing.

Finally left the school at close to 4.40pm and then Sak and me took a bus to the MRT station and then we went to town.

Reached City Hall very early so since I was so early, I went to do some shopping for myself. =) Was walking around and I saw "Life Baby". Remembering that Vic's BB just arrived, I went in to see if I can get any BB item for his newborn prince and I got this. Quite cute hor? Actually, I like another piece instead, but I felt that that piece was too thick for our SG March weather so I got this instead. Should be quite comfy, cotton. Having got a BB gift, I carried on with my lone shopping.

My next stop was to Fancl and making sure that I had my 20% discount voucher since it's my bday month, within 10 mins, I walked away with these...Seems lots right? But actually hor, not alot lei. Just the usual stuff that I'm using all these time. Morever, all these is daily usage so run out very fast. So since I now have 20% off better make it my while. I just bought 2 bottles of the mild cleansing oil (make up remover), 2 bottles of the washing powder, 3 botles of tonner, 2 bottles of the moisturizer and lastly, a pre-packed of 3 boxes of facial blotters. All in, $207!

BUT!!! I have the double stamps bonus, which earned me 10 stamps... else, I will have to spend $400 just to earn that amount of stamps! Oh! Forgot to mention that I bought a limited edition facial puff to go with all these... (I change my puff with every bottle of powder, abit wasted maybe but cleaner and more hygenic!)This time, most likely for the upcoming Valentine's Day, the mentioned puff is a sweet nice shade of lilac heart. Quite pretty hor? Anyway same price for the limited edition or normal hence I took this and the normal Pink puff.

Saw online that they have the AP papers as well and I took 3 packs from them! Thank God, they have, else I will have to go and buy! This year is a AP paper shortage year! Can't seem to find any left at home and we din want to pay for it... coz no one will appreciate how nice the paper is (probably except for my mom, who COLLETS AP paper!) so.. since got free ones, GOOD! Can save me a few dollars in just buying AP papers! The Fancl papers also quite pretty hor? Japanese version.... Quite cute lor. So when we give this away next week, ppl will know I'm a Fancl user.

Having purchased this in Robinsons, (where I am entitled to further 5% coz of cardmember's discount) I popped by Clarins to check if my item is here. Goody goody!!! It's here and I got it as well.
I only bought the pink lips gloss and the rest of all those things are free gifts! Not bad hor?? Happy!!

Checked the time and I was still early for the dinner gathering in the Vilage, popped into Red Earth, Espirit. Hee... Got myself these 2 nail polish. Just nice for CNY. It's a buy 1 get 1 free, ya see! And I like the shades when it's on my fingers.

Finally, went on my way to meet the rest of the SW gang for dinner. The venue was changed from The Marche in Suntec to the Vilage in Hereen (which is the exact location as of the previous Marche. Even the setting was the same.) Management is saving $$$ by just changing name, no need to even change decor and food stalls!

Food wise, nothing much to say. About the same as Marche. Even the concept is the same, you get in only if you have the card and then you exit when you 'surrender' that card at the cashier. Though food was so-so, we had fun! Lots of fun.

That is, if they could stand me in my croaky voice.

Heh! I got an early bday cake too! This got to be my EARLIEST Bday present this year!! No one can beat that! Thank you, Dear Clement, Wiselyn and my dear dear Godchild!

But, I don't wanna think of all those yet, just do what I can... and meanwhile, enjoy the process of going back to school. At the moment, I'm kind of enjoying that moment!

After a week...

This week has been a erm.... a week of missed/hurried dinners, datelines, sick, travelling hours on the bus. Well, not hours acutally, but still lots lar, as compared to the time that I usually spendt on bus this week as compared to other times.

Lessons has started proper since Monday. I realised that for me to reach campus BEFORE the start of the class, I will need to leave office by 5.30pm, 5.40pm latest. Else, when I left office at 5.45pm, walked over to AMK to catch a bus, I was 2 mins late and the lecturer had already begun his speech on his introduction amongst other things. Thanks to the massive jam along Bukit Timah road... all the branded schools are there, the parents driving equally branded cars waiting along the roads for their kiddies...

I just realised through my other course mates and friends, I'm putting quite a lot on my plate for this current term (2 terms in a Semester, a sem is about 4,5 months). Though, they are also taking 3 or 4 modules, (depending on the credits, we are only allowed to take a max of 20 CU per sem) their modules are spread out like 2 modules this term, another 2 the next term (for 4 modules) and those taking 3 will be like 1 module this term, another next term and the last module for the full sem.

While MY timetable reads, 2 modules THIS term and 1 module for the full sem. -_-" Don't ask me how come my timetable like this... I have no idea why I picked the way I did when I was doing it! I seriously cannot remember why I picked it this way... Maybe it's the inexperienced? The don't want to take all exam papers at the end of the sem, want to split it up??? I cannot remember!

SO, yar... My timetable is packed from now till end of March, on all the Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Then after that, I will only have lessons on Wednesdays till May which is the exams and then I can say "Bye Bye" to sem 1. That is of course, if I manage to clear ALL these modules I'm doing.

I think, it's really been a long time since I last stepped into a tutorial or lecture room mann. Gosh.... I suddenly felt as though I was back in Primary, eh.. no.. too long ago. Secondary school more like. We are using NP facilities currently and gosh... NP looks nice outside, but when inside... I especially hate the walking up stairs, slopes, down stairs, slopes bit! But thank God, it's all sheltered. So even if it's raining, it's not so bad. But I do like NP for the spacious blocks! They have soooo much space and the campus is really sprawling all over!

In fact, most of my lessons are conducted at NP instead of SIM. =( But the classrooms looks kind of old... I was surprised to note that they even have window grills in the classes! haha... Like so mis-matched in my opinion.

Lessons are pretty all right. Thank God, I manage to make some new friend, else will be very longely and when the time comes for the forming of project groups, think I will be nervous. But at least now, there's a few ppl (actually only 2 from 2 module lar)that I know from 2 modules and I think most likely we will be able to work together on that. So not too bad.

Feb is a short month but the lessons are not short. Imagine, I got to go back for lessons on Vday & my Bday nt week as well?! They don't change time slots at all! There is 1 session which fall on CNY and the 1st Sat in March will be the make up lesson! NO BREAK!!! Worse, I think I have 2 online assignments which I have to complete and submit by the first day of CNY.

And, according to the timetable, gosh.... my first 3 Saturdays in March are all burnt!

Sad. Sad. Sad lar. But no choice right? Really is no choice right?! So what to do? Grit and bear through it ba.

But, come to think of it, maybe it's the novety of doing something different for the time being, I'm kind of enjoying some of my modules lei. Particularly, I think the Mass Communication will be interesting. Lecturer said that we will be "breaking" advertisments and their meanings. Sounds tough, but hey! She promised lots of music, advertisments, movie watching time DURING class!

I think that's a good sign. I'm pretty sure, the lessons will be interesting!

Laws gave me headache even before the start of the class... and that resulted in a 2 day MC... but thank God, I made 2 friends there and we already said we shall form a group. With groupwork, I think the headache and heartache of the module will be reduced.

Done the Statistics for the first time in my entire life last nite.... erm... Definately need to buck up on this one.... all the terms are making my head & eyes swim. Not to mention that super duper statistics student version software that I also saw we are expected to use for the first time last nite.

I think... I can forgive myself for being blur as a sotong for the time being... hey! It's the first class of the module! Cannot be expecting me to know every single thing right?! More ever, I'm a FIRST year student too!

Now, my role besides doing revision for all those 3 modules that were taught for this week, is to go and find and arm myself with nice name stickers (of course bearing MY name lar!) and a pencil case.

I think this will make me more enthu about studying, picking up the books, reading and writting!

Haven't been blogging much these days. Kind of tried and also nothing much interesting to blog about since the previous entry about the facial.

Lessons @ UniSIM has just began on Monday and just after a day, no, should say night, I'm tired out. Seriously! Lesson usually start at 7pm most times and by the time we end it's 10pm, some groupings, discussions, clarifying with the lecturer on somethings, it's already close to 10.30pm by the time I leave campus. By the time I'm safely home, it's already 11pm lor.

After bathing and all, it's time to sleep and wake up for a brand new day. Not to mention, I try to do a bit of revision that was covered during the lesson earlier and also try to prepare for the next lesson.

Kind of miserable life as I think of it now. Especially, since, this will be the kind of life that I'm expecting for the next 3 years. But like what others have previously done and advise.

"Just clentch your teeth and get it over with!"

Not an easy life, but I guess, there is really no choice since, I have already chosen this life.

And guess what? Just after the first lesson, no I should say before the first lesson, I have had this nagging headache on my right that just won't go away. Since I was in the sun earlier that day, I thought it was the sun. Ate a panadol but no use. The worse is, the headache 'ran' to the left yesterday! For the whole day, I bear with it. Finally, cannot take it anymore, went to the doctor after dinner at my PIL's place.

Doc's verdict?! "Over stress" Heh! Before the first lesson, already over stress??! Then how am I going to manage for the rest of the year?! Wah lau....

Win lor. My body so weak... Anyway, I'm given 2 days MC, for today and tomorrow. So, now resting at home. Read thru the notes for tonite... chatting on MSN and also watching this Japanese show "1 Litre of Tears".

Not again...

Following my 2 days MC not too long ago... in fact less than a month ago. I am now officially down again. =(

This time is the starting of the flu, miagraine and slight fever. (Last time was the eye infection!) SO yeah, I have officially claimed 4 days worth of MC in less than 2 months since the year has begun.

If I am the boss, I will be darm pissed mann! 2 days just before the mad house and now another 2 days just before the JAE.

I have no idea what is wrong with me.. I know I've been sleeping late, was trying to read some course notes before the start of the class... Doc says, I must have been too stressed and also lack of sleep. I think the lack of sleep is right. Stress... I think she must be right too.

I think I must have been too worried about the lessons.... So, in the end, what do I get? 2 days worth of headache which started on the right then "ran" to the left!

*Sigh*

Shopping Saturday

Hit the town with my sister this afternoon, after Hubby left for JB for don't know what seminar with his friends.

Sis wanted to get a watch and she had a $100 City Chain vouchers, so we went to look see. Well, she finally bought it after much comparisions. She was also looking for either capri or 3/4 pants and we went to Isetan to look around too.

Found a few that looks nice but she looks horrible in it and all those are not cheap kind, like almost $40 for a pair. But, luckily for her, she looks ugly in it, so no need to buy lor. Hahaha.. Then I found the one that I bought at the AMK hub, found it in her size and she tried that on as well. BASKET lor!!! I bought it at $23 while Isetan selling it for $19.90!!! My $3!!!

The best is, my sis looks horrible in all the expensive ones, but this cheapo one, suits her well! >.<>
Dinner was at Peppers' Lunch. Not bad, except we smelt of BBQ meat after walking out. I was on the search for a pencil case and some stationery, but cannot find anything interestint at all.

Anyway, after buying $250 worth of Robinsons vouchers meant for Aw's housewarming gift this coming Saturday, we called it a day. Best is Robinsons don't have vouchers in $50 demoninations. So, no choice, got to get 25 pieces of $10.Heh!! Thick lei, that envelope!

Aunites are aunties! On the way home, this particular aunit kept squeezing me and my sis and then when there was a seat, she snatched it away from us!!

Wah Lau!!! Heng, I not very tired and also in quite a good mood! Else, I will also play the snatching game with her! Bleh!!! Aunties!

The whole of today, besides dinner and drinks, I did not spend $$$ on anything lei! Bought nothing home.

Don't know should be happy or sad. =S Shopping without spending $$$ very sian and very unsatisfiying lei.

New hangout.

As the title suggest, of course there is a new place that I explored recently... This is my 3rd time there in a short span of 2 weeks! =)

Irene and I went to the AMK hub during lunch earlier! Nice place. She need to get somethings so we basically walked around. For me, there isn't much to get since I've already got my wardrobe ready for CNY.

But then again, girlies will be girlies. Even if it's just look see or anything, I'm sure, we can get something and we did! I got myself something from....

Yups! Pepper Plus. I was quite happy that they have a store in AMK!

The nearest Pepper Plus I know are in Toa Payoh and Orchard. Gee... I don't do there THAT often, ya know.

Surprisingly, I did not get any pieces of clothings from them.. I got this!

A M)phosis lookalike coin purse! That's where the similiarlity ended! The price is definately wayy much easier on the pockets as compared to M)phosis! This little thing just costs me $5! Wow! Irene bought a small handbag for only $8! Can you beat that price? I paid more than $20 for a similiar handbag from M)phosis earlier lei!

Finally, happy with our purchases, went off to the Basement 2 where we can find something to fill our rumbling stomachs. I bought a sardine puff. Not too bad, just that the filling was too waterly I feel.

And we happen to see this tiny store selling muffins! Still craving for muffins after Irene has told me so much about tha "Spice" shop in Sin Min (which I still have not tried) I needed to satisfy the sweet tooth of mine.

I got 3 muffins since the promotion was 3 for $5 while 1 for $1.20. I had the Oreal Chocolate, Cherry and Chocolate Cherry! I love Chocolate remember?!

I was too hungry and had already eaten the Chocolate Cherry before I remembered to snap a pic of it. Brought these 2 home and Hubby said it was nice! =)

hee... So happy!

Went for facial at my usual salon earlier. (Which I almost wasn't even able to get a slot. Thanks to the kaisu women who all want to go for a last min facial before the CNY to look pretty! The reception told me they are fully book for the next 2 weeks! -_-" then.. she said "Hmmm.... I can squeeze you in on Wednesday evening, 6.30pm want?" Of course I want! The last time I went for facial was like in early or mid Decemeber! If not take this slot, then all those pores and blackheads and don't know what else will be blocking my face till after CNY! So I got to go coz I've not been there for a long time! Not like some of the other kiasu women go so early lor. If I can, I will go for 1 more say a week before CNY to do a some hydration mask or whitening mask or some other make me look pretty mask lar!)

But this post is not about me doing facial and what the beautician did or say or anything like that. If I really do input all those, can bore you all to sleep. At least that's what she did to me. I dozed off half the time I was there earlier!

But what I really wanted to blog about is this. This little black bag of goodies that I managed to grab before heading home!Well, for you ladies,I'm sure you have no issues guessing what I have inside right?

Yuppers! I got myself these little beauties.Nice? I know the brown looks slightly "lao ah ma" but when I wear it, the colour matches my natural skin tone well, hence I got it. Not that I am lao ah ma ok! I actually fell in love with another pair of white sandal. But the sales refuse to give me a 20% even though their banner says "20% off the 2nd item". SO, I din buy even when she offered me a 10%! Hurmp! I mean come on lor. If a customer wants a 3rd pair of sandals (bearing in mind, already fulfilling the 2 pairs bit) what's wrong with giving a 20% off right?!

So, anyway, she din give me a 20% off so I din get anything more. Just these 2. =) Happy. Now I have heels for work and pumps for work too!

BUT!! I still like that other pair!!! =(

Another Botak story.

Ah Teck annouced to me at 11am this morning, "Aey, I drove today lei, wanna go to that that Botak place?" I was pleased for a few minutes cause I can eat sausage again. Then I remembered, I already have a lunch date with Irene to head for some shopping in the AMK hub! But all is not lost lar, I'm pretty sure, she will be happy to visit Botak since she loves sasuages! So without much thought, I sms her.

True to my 6th sense, she agreed! hahaha... so we happily went to Botak for our lunch!

Though Irene and Ah Teck are not familiar with each other, but I say, nothing warms ppl up like good food and laughter! We laughed, chatted and simply enjoyed our food. The wait for the food was quite short too!

And even the weather was beautiful. Sunny and windy. No scorching hot sun yet everything looks bright and cheerful! Nice!

Really had a good lunch with 2 of my close colleagues today! =)

Still shopping mood.

A woman is a woman is a woman. TRUE BLUE! Even when darn broke and all still must shop and buy somethings. =(

Like take today for example. Coz the silly plastic tag containing my identiy card split right up, I had to go to the campus bookstore and get a replacement. Else I will have no peace walking around in campus without that silly dogtag and lanyard. Coz all the doors will be closed to me!

So, in the end, I manage to get this. Blue (which is not my favourite colour)but that silly lanyard is BLUE ma, so not much of a choice got to get a blue shade to match it right? My previous one was clear and in landscape. This time round, I decided to add a dash of colour to it and it shall be in portrait!

Since, I was already in the bookshop, I remembered that I needed an earaser to start the new term with. I have pens, ruler and pencil but no earaser so I needed one. Browse around and was looking for a cheap and reliable one when I finally found it. I also got a box of colourful clips to go with it, for me to hold my notes together when necessary since I have no intention of bringing staple or something like that. I guess, since most of the notes are already given to us, there is no need for staples la.Clips just for the occassional stray pieces of paper that I need to "kiap" together lor.

Actually, I was attracted to the colours rather to the necessity of the clips lar. I mean JUST look at the colour of the clips! Nice right? Cheerful looking too! I should have taken more care when choosing the box earlier and I will make sure there's either more pinks, reds or greens! Instead, I have to get a box that comes with like 10 orange?! BLEH!!!

Anway, I guess, less of my preferred colour will make me treasure it more??

But check out the earser! It's SOLID BLACK! I've never seen an earser in black lei. (Too long no go back to school) but it's hey! EXAM GRADE! hahahaha... And know what, among all the other white, normal ones, this is the cheapest lor.

So being the cheapo that I am, I got it without much thought. =P

Had an arguement with hubby on Friday night and till now, still not resolve. It's not a serious thing. Just that I simply do not understand why on earth hubby got to go ahead and test my limits time and again.

I've already told him on numerous occassions to NOT do it. And when he attempted to do it, I will step in and make him stop. And after so long, (as long as we've been staying here) it still has not got into his head that it's a "n0-no". Got into an arguement or rather cold war then.

Sat, coz I still had the mad house to contend with, I did not see hubby for the whole day. While hubby attended the wedding between 2 of my god siblings in the afternoon. Then coz I was still upset at him, when he finally sms me about the wedding and also to apologise for last nite, though I was still grouchy, we still arranged dinner.

Finally after my mad house the moment I reached office, I called hubby. Also looking forward to seeing him and having a nice dinner together ma, haven't been seeing for the week! Everytime, by the time he's home or I'm home, after bathing, eating, I'm ready to call it a night. Very tired.

BUT! That silly hubby of mine... BLEH! Made me call him 4 times before I even manage to reach him! In a fit of anger, I called off dinner. I rather be wandering in the streets alone than to be facing him now. My goodness! After so long of not seeing each other, and he made me upset last nite and he said dinner yet I had to call so many times before reaching him, (which makes me feel doubly pissed) coz at least he should be waiting for me to call him to tell him I'm done right?! WRONG! He was not waiting for my call! Bleh!!

So pissed. So apparently, he's not so anxious to see me after all! So I went to AMK to just spend my evening. I wanted to get my hair cut desprately, getting too long and I remember that Meron has a salon in the new AMK Hub now so without thinking I went straight there. Hai.. Don't know if it's a wise or silly move. I asked the reception how long it will be before my turn and she said pretty fast. So I waited lor. But that "pretty fast" turned out to be 2 hours when I finally have my hair cut! Gosh!!!! And the worse is, the reception there is darm lousy and I cannot even sms to will the time away! ARGG...

Finally after the super long wait (and there I was thinking, after getting a cut, can go and check out the stores at the Hub!) I needed food. The nearest was actually Mac and I went for that. The Mac had also gone thru renovation lei! Now it has the 'cafe' section added to it and it looks so nice. Cozy and welcoming. Sat down, ate my dinner and people watched. Still early after my dinner and I decided to check out 1 or 2 of those shoe shops I past by on my way earlier.

Wah sey! That shop was crowded lei! I did not expect it to be this packed at close to 10pm on a Saturday especially in heartlands like this. But having said that, I also went in to join in the fun and squeeze with the rest of those already inside.

Morning mass as usual and coz of the tiff, we are still not talking. Hubby did try but I felt it was so unsincere so I ignored it.

Lunch with the rest at AMK S11 and I was thinking of gng to the Hub again to chk out the stores when Emma suggests doing it! hahaa... we are 2 of the same mann!So the 3 of us, (Emma, hubby and me) went to take a look.

Saw a pair of wedges that I like but too bad, they don't have it in my size and ALL the stores were sold out too! Too bad for me then. But not too bad since I've got 2 pairs of shoes yesterday.Thus, we continued on our way.

There's quite a few stroesstores that sells nice clothes. If not for the fact that hubby was with me and that I've already spent a small fortune over the last few weeks on clothings, I think, I could have easily spend a few hundred dollars worth of clothes home! But I did manage to curpb my expenses and all I did was walk away with this.
3/4 pants. Perfect for me to wear to my mom's plc on the 2nd day of CNY. All I need is to pair it with a tank or racer for casual or if I want to appear dressier, then one of those work tops I've got stash away in the cupboard all ready for CNY and the new work year.

This cutie only costs slightly over $20. Cheap mann. Heartlands really is heardland price! And I just noticed this.
While I was pinning for a COACH for so long, I got a COAX(which is the brand of this 3/4 pants I just bought) now. hahaha.... Sounds almost the same. Almost but not quite lor!

Clothes, checked! Bag, checked! Shoes, checked! Cosmestics, checked! Looks like I'm ready for CNY. But the last thing, the AP and notes, I got to remember to ask Godma to exchange for me!

I'm excited about the AMK hub. I like what I saw today. B1, though not fully opened has stores and stores of nice clothings and shoes! Wait till the rest of the main levels (1 to 4) is ready?! I think I can go crazy there! Lunchtimes, will be more often taken in AMK and I'm sure Godma and Cec will be happy to meet me there for lunch more often now! From what I saw last nite and today, it's like a heartland Vivocity!

Finally. It's OVER!!!!

After a worrysome, adrenaline pumping and lots of prayers to the big boss up there, sleepless and late nights, long working hours and days without a decent meal in my stomach... the mad house had finally gone by. Smoothly, nothing earth shattering nor with any much unforseen-able things.

The mad house went on as planned and thank our big boss up there, we did not even faced a lack of student leaders as we orginally had feared we will be facing. We had surpluses of students during all the shifts and especially on Mornings and Saturday! Wow. Good sign for us coz we were not overly taxed. But bad news on the organising committee.. Means that not that much crowd. Sure to get it during the AAR following the end of this mad house!

Mad house is finally gone. And I won't be seeing it till 365 days later, I won't get to think and see and plan and do mad house till 2008!! Yippee!!!

I swear from now on, as I'm finally sitting back in my office, after all the hastle and stress, I'm gonna start praying that non of my team members and MYSELF will do the guides and tour route bit for the next year(s)!

Sorry for the lack of updates.

I'm soooooooo busy with the preparations and worrying myself sick over the mad house preparations that I've no time at all to do any updates.

Will be taking a break for the next few days till things have quieten down. But please, meanwhile, if you do check this out, doo pray for a successful and smooth sailing mad house for me.

My mad house is from this coming Thursday till Saturday, 10am to 5.30pm daily. Open to ALL.

Were you taught "never to judge a book by it's cover" from young?

I was.

But apprantely, some of my lecturers or rather one of my lecturer was not taught.

I had eye infection last week and anyone who has had eye infection knows that it will be best to stay OFF contact lens and any eye make up for the next 1 week (at least) to allow the eyes to recover.

Today is the 5th day, also a working day, no choice, already finised all my MC have to go back to work right? So what could I do? I had to go to office in my nerdy specs and also with considerably less make up than usual.

I know I not a pretty babe, so I cannot afford to go to office bareface. So I did apply sunblock and also a thin layer of make up base so that I won't look so pale.

And guess what happened? The lecturer who sits in the next door office, took one glance at me and din even bother to say "Hi" or even "morning" early this morning lor. (Not that I thrive on his "Hi" and "morning" just that it's curtesy ma! Especially when it's first thing in the morning lor!) Then throughout the day, when we bump into each other, he refuse to even acknowledge my pressence lor! SO DAMN RUDE! Call himself a lecturer somemore!!! BLEH! Even when I smile at him coz we pass by each other, he looked away!

Ok lar, I know I look very ugly today but necessary to do this? As though I don't feel bad enough! hurmp!

Not that I am praising myself, but ever since my depute performance as "Miss ISO", almost everytime when he sees me, he will call out to me and try to make small talks lor. And all the time, I'm not very keen to talk to him coz he has an accent and I cannot really understand. I try to avoid him and just get to my destination (usually my office) asap.

So I'm just being friendly as a colleague ok when I smile and acknowledge his pressence. But just coz I don't look good today, he ignored me totally. J-E-R-K! It's not the 1st time this happened. On rare occassions when I'm feeling lazy to dress up, and turn up in specs... he does the same thing.

He's soooooo shallow! I pity his gf/wife/mother/sisters! BLEH!!!!

Weekends but still...

It's the weekends now and I'm still working my ass off the OH details and logistics and planning. *sigh*

OH is really a thankless and shitty job! But the good news is OH is an ANNUAL event. So my misery will end next Saturday! =)

Had to do up the details at home since I was on MC and luckily, manage to complete all in time.

Spent quite sometime working on the files though. Luckily, my colleague is a good sport. Though I was not able to go to office, she emailed me and then also helped me followed up with the rest of the necessary items.

But she sent a wrong file, so she had to go back to office today to retrieve it for me so that I can work on it from home. Then the problem was, I cannot find why on earth the numbers do not tally. Spent a few good hours working on it and still cannot find the root cause! Finally, I got so fed up that I almost wanted to trash that stupid file!! Argg!!

But! My knight in shining armour came to my rescue! He told me to send him the file and within 5 mins, he not only managed to trace where the mistake was and he even managed to get my numbers to tally!!! Woah!! So clever hor!!! I'm just so blessed to have such a clever hubby! To think I spent so long on it that even my mom had to call me and asked if we are going over for dinner! Should have asked hubby for help earlier and then I can get my job done so much earlier and faster!!!!

Anyway.... that's it. Case close. Don't want to think of that anymore. On a happier note, I have new things...

I asked Emma to get it for me from Airport and she brought it to CTK today to pass to me. And goodness!!! Can you believe how much I paid for these 2 items? $73 only lor!!!! SOOOOOOO much cheaper! Coz Emma said she got the duo pack for the YSL and it came even cheaper!

If I were to buy it from retail, it would have costs me like $87! The YSL came highly recommended as a concealer and illuminator especially for the undereyes area, that golden tube costs at least $50 in retail ok?! The mascara is what I've been using and I like the effect. So it's worth buying from Airport. I swear, where possible, I SHALL and WILL store up ALL my cosmestics & skincare from airport. Somemore, (not sure if it's true) that airport sizes usually are bigger or if not the shades are slightly different from outside retails lei.

hmmm... if I were to buy the cheapest air ticket just to get into airport to buy all these, would it be worth it still?? Hahahaha....

Happy... happy... work done, new clothes from yesterday and new cosmestics too! =)

But still, there's somethings for me to see to tomorrow when I head back to office. Like, got to arrange for the delivery of mineral water, refreshments over the 3 days of OH. Collect keys to the command centre and set it up. 2 more briefing sessions for the student leaders. A meeting on Tuesday morning. Attendance sheets, maps, tour routes to be printed, collected and distributed. Oh! Also to collect the walkie talkies and to charge it. All's ready for the great show on Thursday then!

Please God, do let this mega event be a success! Bless all the staff and students to co-operate with each other and that this event be a success!

Haven't been lazing...

Though I was on MC for yesterday and today, I swear I have not been lazing and doing nothing at home.

Just yesterday alone, I must have chalk up at least 1 hour of call time on my HP! I called back office and office also called me and via the email and phone calls, I managed to clear yesterday's work.

And today, was also a busy time for me too!

Early morning, after brunch, hubby and I made our way to Uni SIM to collect my course notes and books and whatever else there is.

Then the plan was to then go to this ulu place somewhere in Jurong to collect the PC and then head for home. But after collecting my items, I realise that I'm in NP already! And they are having their OH today!!!

So. w/o anyone telling me, I made myself into a spy.

I went round, well not really round la.

Just walked around and then asked some questions. Not that I am totally a spy. I also did it for my youngest sis's sake since she is waiting for her results. Hai... but after speaking to those involve... I really think besides engg, there is no where else she can go to lor.

Anway, since we were carrying so many papper boxes of Uni SIM, we din have the energy to go too far. Since I was going to take 4 modules, I had 4 boxes! And the joke is, there was only 1 small book and 2 pieces of paper in 1 of the boxes! Gosh.

In the end, we asked for 1 BIG box and we squeeze 2 small boxes into it. Looking at the amout of books just for next sem.... I have a strong feeling that I'm gonna neglet this blog very soon.Back to NP OH, I like the uniform of the staff and students. Basically same design and colour but students in round neck Tees and staff in polos. Nice! Team spirit. Gave me the impression that the staff are more like friends rather than like staff.

Finally, after spending a long time there and after collecting these...

we made our way to this ulu place... something "penjuru". Collected the desktop and we had to call a cab to bring us home. The cabby also got lost while trying to look for us!

So, the first thing we did when we came home was to ... install and set up the desktop. Not bad looking after all for a free gift hor?

Good! hubby will not use my labby anymore. =) And I can have my labby ALL to myself now!

With the OH next week, I'm down with conjunctivities.. argg!!! Looking like a walking oil drum now with all those eye drops and eye cream.

Feeling better but can feel eyes getting tired if I'm on the PC screen for a long time. Glasses are all greesy with the cream on my lashes and brushing against the lens.

Still working from home though on MC.

Hai.. No choice la.. If don't rush it out in time, then next week gonna be an even madder house!

Almost had to redo!

Got A FEW calls from my purchasing officers telling me that my documents are ready that I had to go and sign and of course follow up. After being chased to do so since last week, this morning, I finally had the time to go down to do it.

And then this afternoon, I got a few frantic calls from the same lady saying that she cannot find my documents and if I've already found it!

Gosh! My heart sank. If that piece of paper is lost, that means I got to re-do the whole process. Get all the signatureS again and then also to wait and hope that it is not too late.

But thankfully, mercifully, the papers are found! Thank GOD! So I don't have to redo anything.

And the whole of this morning, I was busy editing alignment and lines for excel sheets containing all the students information for OH. *Sigh* I really stare so hard till I can feel my eyes watering. And even after the mass sms sent out, only about 60 or so turned up for the briefing conducted earlier.

We need MORE MORE MORE people to help!

Oops.. The bug has got me

After the huge success of shopping yesterday. Today I felt a void. A void that seems to be able to be filled with shopping and more shopping.

I just feel like hitting the streets again and filled my chest of drawers with more new things that I can use over the new year. Things like, I don't know, cosmestics, skincare? Opps! These should be DAILY products! Not even close to "things that I can use over the new year."

But when faced with the price tags that comes with my latest whims...plus, I'm not billed yet for my expenses yesterday nor for the previous month... and also the fact that my insurance bills are due next month.

I think I better hold my horses in spending even more more more on clothes, shoes, bags, skincare, cosmestics or even accessories!

Orh! But I still gave in to tempatition a few days ago when I went for my facial. My facial is in Toa Payoh and there's always many small stalls selling accessories. I've already lost count of the number of earrings I've bought from there!

Anyway, the point is, we are going a retro theme wedding this coming Saturday. I've got my clothes ready. But no accessories to match it and I got this when I went for facial.

So I guess with this now, hopefully, I can blend into the 'retro theme'.

But then even if I don't I still have 1) a new top 2) new earrings.
